RUN from this never-ending NIGHTMAREWe signed a contract for our wedding for a package for $85 per plate. A few months later, the menu \"changed\"--in reality, it was the exact same menu, except everything was a la carte, and the price for the EXACT same items now came out to $133 per plate. We sent the hotel a letter, stating that per our contract they were obligated to provide evidence of the price increase and did not hear back for MONTHS. When we finally met with management, they had never even SEEN the original packages we were given, and asked us to make a copy! Apparently, the hotel had changed management a whopping three times in nine months, and that we had been given the wrong wedding package pricing when we signed. They also stated that they literally could not provide any evidence of the price increase, because the previous chef took all the inventory records with him. They randomly picked a new price of $100 that we felt forced to accept, knowing a lawsuit would be terrible. Every step of the way was like pulling teeth. It took multiple calls/emails to get a response for anything. We had to beg them to reopen the room block at least five or six times because our entire wedding was out of state. We had to ask the chef to plate the sauce under the salmon because it looked like vomit. We straight up refused to try any of their beef appetizers because of how horrible they looked (like a dog turd on bread). We delivered welcome bags to the front desk; over half of our guests never received them, even after we called to remind the desk and management on two separate occasions. We never received the extra welcome bags back. I dropped off linen napkins for the wedding, and the hotel kept half of them--I had to call them and then drive to go pick them up after the wedding. We had reserved the pool deck, and yet random strangers were there when we were trying to take photos at sunset. Part of our package was a free one night stay in one of the hotel's two suites (kitchenette with a full sized fridge). When we signed the contract--over a year prior to the wedding--we booked both suites for the Friday and Saturday of our wedding weekend so we could use the rooms for the groomsmen and bridesmaids to get ready. We used the DoubleTree for our hotel blocks, getting ready room and the night of the wedding and I am so glad that we did! Carly was the main person we worked with and she was absolutely amazing! She worked with all of our issues or questions and made sure I was comfortable with the rooms we were selecting along with letting me tour the rooms to make sure I was okay with the space to get ready in. We had a situation with another hotel and ended up spending the night of at the DoubleTree and I am glad that we did! They were the best and all the staff was super accommodating!

Geri and her team at DoubleTree in Tallahassee, Florida are wonderful to work with in making sure all goes smoothly for your guests, wedding reception, offering help and very friendly to our guests at our daughter, Katie and our son-in-law, Charlie's wedding reception. We had a very beautiful wedding and they were a big part of the success of a truly magical wedding reception.

WOW! This is what I continue to say when I think of the experience we had at my daughter's wedding reception this past weekend at the Doubletree by Hilton Tallahassee. Everyone at the hotel from the valets to the front desk attendants to the Starbucks baristas were incredibly friendly and helpful. The venue itself is incredibly chic and lovely - and the service is beyond professional and yet so very personal at the same time. Alexandra Hickman handled our guests' rooming needs with great care and every detail was attended to. We cannot say enough about the FABULOUS Jeri Madden! From the first meeting to the follow up after the event, she was positive, patient, encouraging, informative and incredibly efficient. Jeri took care of any and all possible \"snags' with grace and confidence. She knows her stuff and that allowed us to rest and enjoy our very special day. This is an incredible venue with even more incredible staff - a must in any Tallahassee event or hotel stay!

I can not say enough amazing things about our rehearsal dinner that was held at The Doubletree. Working with Jeri was an absolute breeze and our night was perfect. The space itself is beautiful but Jeri and her team made the night incredible. We got non-stop compliments on the food, the service and the views from the rooftop. Thank you Jeri and everyone at the Doubletree for an amazing night! I highly recommend them for any event. Do yourself a favor and check out the space, meet with Jeri and I'm sure you'll be sold!

I can not say enough amazing things about our rehearsal dinner that was held at The Doubletree. Working with Jeri was an absolute breeze and our night was perfect. If you plan to have your wedding in Tallahassee, hold it at the Doubletree. I have just had my ceremony and reception here and everything went so smoothly and flawlessly from our very first meeting with Jeri Madden (Catering & Events Sales Manager) to the very end. I was looking at a couple of different options and ultimately, Jeri and her team were what stood at the most. They will make planning so, so easy for you and you will feel so relieved to know that they are committed to getting everything perfect for your big day. Jeri and Alexandria Hickman in particular were absolutely wonderful for answering all of my questions and requests for advice leading up to the event. They will be invaluable resources while you are planning your wedding since they have seen it all. And the staff were amazing and quick to serve with a smile. Seriously cannot overstate how much I loved working with the Doubletree Tallahassee team. If I could get married all over again I would do it here in a heartbeat!

The staff and service at The DoubleTree are amazing!!! My husband and I got married in 10 days and they took care of everything for us! Jeri Madden and the rest of the staff made 10 days seem like a piece of cake! I didn't have a worry in the world and everything the day of was PERFECT! It was everything we dreamed of and more and completely stress-free on my part! If you put your wedding in their hands, you won't be disappointed! Everything was beyond phenomenal!!! I couldn't be happier!

The staff and service at The DoubleTree are amazing!!! My husband and I got married in 10 days and they took care of everything for us! Jeri Madden and her team were fantastic! We had a family only destination wedding and returned to Tallahassee for a big nice party - ending up pool side with fireworks. We almost didn't even consider the Doubletree, as it used to be an older and run down property, but the recent renovations make it VERY attractive. I really appreciated the way they worked within the budget and we were not \"nickeled and dimed\" like the destination resort. The staff were all helpful from the chef to the bus boys and bathroom attendants. Jeri was efficient, accommodating, flexible, gracious, fun and had every single detail in “tip top shape”. She did what she said she would do, and did it on time and with grace. The food was lovely, the staff was competent, and the party was FABULOUS! We ended the night poolside with fireworks and HAPPY song with everyone dancing. We overheard lots of people saying they didn’t even know the venue was available and they’d love to have their next party there. Everyone had a great time and we are trying to find another occasion to do it all again!

Jeri and the Doubletree staff could not have done more to make our wedding day truly spectacular!!! Unfortunately, right before I was to walk down the aisle, I looked down and realized I had lost my engagement ring! IMMEDIATELY, about 20-30 Doubletree staff magically appeared, crawled the entire hotel, and found my ring in under ten minutes. Even though all hands were on deck to find that ring, everything else was going completely as planned and our guests never knew anything was wrong. Jeri and her staff are consummate professionals in every way. We had the time of our lives.
