Our experience with DoubleTree by Hilton Libertyville-Mundelein amazing! Rita is the wedding coordinator at this venue and she worked so hard to make our day special. She listened to our wants and needs and definitely delivered on them! The hotel is beautiful and was very accommodating. They had a wonderful sit down complementary breakfast for our guests that stayed the night at the hotel and it was delicious! I’m so glad we picked this venue for our wedding. Highly recommended!!

I attended a wedding here on June 1st and I cannot say enough great things about the event! Everything from the food, to the lighting, to the service was pristine! Rita did a fantastic job creating the couple's dream wedding! I recommend the event planner, Rita, and this venue to every couple looking to turn their magical wedding into a reality!

UN-BEL-RITA-BLE! I had my wedding recently at Doubletree-Mundelein and as the bride, my entire vision came to life with Rita! Whatever I wanted she made it happen and made the banquet space transform! It was so nice knowing that our wedding would be the only one going on that night. We utilized the pub at the hotel for an after party, which is a nice option! The pool was great for our guests and people could not stop complimenting the food! My husband and I had so many guests compliment the food, we were just beyond happy with the reception! We can not thank Rita enough for her work and truly making it a flawless day! What a pleasure it was to not have to worry about anything the day of!

Had an absolute blast at this wedding! The food was fantastic and the reception looked amazing. Most telling was seeing how stress free both the bride and groom were on this evening. It was very apparent Rita had everything under control and allowed them to dive into their wedding without any worries.

Venue was absolutely fantastic and had a great time. Good set-up for speeches and music for the main reception, and also had a great, unique restaurant area for the rehearsal dinner as well. Service was great as well, couldn't ask for much more!

Unreal venue! And the food was so delicious - honestly one of the best I've had from the many weddings I've attended over the years. I was in a wedding 6/1 here and can't say enough good things about this space and the people! The reception was decorated beautifully, and exactly how my friend (the bride) wanted it. The couple worked with Rita and just adore her, she did a fantastic job!

I attended a wedding at the Doubletree in Mundelein on June 1, and it was exceptional.It started with an attentive and well presented (white gloves)staff.The dinner may have been the best I have ever had at a wedding,the food was presented beautifully and tasted even better,everyone at my table agreed.Rita Lavelle, Allan, and Morena were very professional and accommodating,afar cry from what I see at some venues.We spent the night at the hotel and had breakfast the next morning.Everything went great.Probably the best time ever at a wedding.I hope all the weddings I attend are at Doubletree.

I recently had my wedding at Doubletree Mundelein and I cannot say enough glowing things about Rita. We wanted special tea lights hanging from the ceiling, Rita got this done, and turned our venue into a fairy tale. She listened to all of our requests and handled them with class and respect. I cannot recommend this venue and Rita enough if you plan on getting married anytime soon!

This venue was awesome! I was a bridesmaid in a wedding here and it was phenomenal. My friend (the bride) told me she could not have done it without the expertise and support of RITA LAVELLE! I met her, and she was even better in person & day-of. She made my friends dreams a reality! It was a truly beautiful day, not a dry eye in the house. Thank you to this venue & RITA for making my friend's happiest day the best she could ask for!

Couldn't be happier with how my wedding reception turned out at the DoubleTree. Everything went smoothly and according to plan- which is every brides dream- thanks to Rita and her amazing staff. I am so grateful for the time and effort she put into making sure our special day was perfect. I definitely recommend this venue and Rita for any event.

Rita is the reason for the rating. When deciding on competitive packages from other venues, we chose the doubletree because Rita treated me like family. Rita allowed for us to set up in a room the same week of our wedding. Rita helped give us a room to escape from the craziness of the wedding itself. Rita was kind and patient with us. She even helped bustle my dress. The food was of a 5 star rating. I would say better than wildfire. Everyone raved stating the wedding food was the best. They gave us a great room rate which included breakfast. I enjoyed having my wedding here thanks to Rita.

I had my wedding at Karma inside the DoubleTree by Hilton Libertyville/Mundelein and everything was perfect! Every single detail from the ease of the planning process to the guest rooms to the food, it was all amazing. The location served as the perfect all-in-one venue as we had our room block, rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception here along with our photography. I can’t thank Rita and her team enough for making our Big Day so special.

We used DoubleTree as the hotel for our guests who were traveling to our wedding. We did not have our ceremony or reception there but were very happy overall with the hotel. The room designs were updated recently and are a little odd but they are comfortable rooms that provide everything you need. The bridal suite was also very nice and they even gave us one night free. They were also accommodating to my parents' request for extra nights at the special wedding rate and to our request to provide breakfast to our guests at the Karma Pub the morning after the wedding. They also provided a shuttle to and from our wedding venue that was very nice according to our guests. Finally, the pricing of everything was great and they were very responsive to all the questions that we had. I would definitely recommend them for a wedding.

I couldn't have asked for a better venue or staff to share our day with. Rita is an absolute sweetheart and made me feel like family right down to the very last minute when I was losing my mind. Everything right down to the smallest detail was amazing, it has been a little over a week and I am still hearing about how beautiful wedding and venue was and how amazing the food was. We couldn't have made a better decision.....Thank you for everything!!I would send my ideas, schedules, layout, color patterns and Rita would let me know how that would work out with the time frame and connect me with good sources for ideas. Honestly, when planning a wedding, sometimes you just need people who will listen to all the mumble jumble, and DoubleTree / Karma staff was AMAZING. The timeline was amazing!! PEOPLE ARE STILL RAVING ABOUT THE PASTA STATION. Everyone was just... spectacular. Thank you for everything Rita. A night beyond compare! Spectacular customer service!

My wife and I struggled to find the perfect venue to host our wedding reception in Chicago’s northwest suburbs, but one we visited Double Tree Mundelein, we knew very quickly this was the perfect venue for us.In the early planning stages, we worked with Rita, the hotel’s events coordinator, to iron out every detail leading up to the wedding. She did a great job throughout the year of working with us to make sure everything went as we planned, including creating with my wife a surprise Star Wars cake reveal that became a highlight of our wedding. On the day of our wedding, my wife and I took a break between the photos and dinner to take a minute to ourselves in the suite provided by the hotel, and Rita sent up some appetizers to the room for us to snack on. We really appreciated those personal touches that verified that we picked the right place to hold our reception.On the day of the wedding, everyone at the hotel went above and beyond for us and our guests. Harley and the rest of the hotel staff worked tirelessly to make sure our guests were taken care of; they handled everything from room block coordination to shuttles to and from our ceremony for our guests. Our guests spoke highly of their hotel rooms, the reception hall, and the layout of the hotel which provided a spacious yet aesthetically-pleasing entranceway for the cocktail hour before dinner. We heard nothing but fantastic comments about the food they provided, especially the chicken and steak, which our guests have been complementing us about for the last few weeks.Overall, I highly recommend Double Tree Mundelein-Libertyville for anyone looking to hold their wedding reception here. My company has also been involved in meetings at the hotel, and they’ve similarly done a great job accommodating the needs of our company. I can’t say enough great things about Double Tree and their staff!

We booked in the fall of 2014 and Rita worked with us throughout the following year on everything we'd need including but not limited to:\rHotel Room Block\rCeremony Room Setup\rReception Room Setup\rCoordinating table linens and chairs\rMenu Tasting\rBar Selection\rGetting us organized days leading up to the wedding\rPromptly answered e-mails and phone calls about room sizes, table setting options, ceremony room setup styles and more.\r\rThe day of, Rita and her staff put together the decorations in our ceremony and reception room that we'd brought from home. She addressed the issue of our DJ getting sick and coordinated a replacement that did an amazing job, with out myself or my groom ever knowing there was an issue until the reception. She worked with our friend Pat on setting up so that he could play acoustic music for both the ceremony and reception. Led the wedding party downstairs before the ceremony to make sure that no one saw the bride before it was time. She coordinated having non-alcoholic champagne at a head table that couldn't have alcohol at it. When our ceremony ended on the early side she started the cocktail hour early so that our guests could start celebrating.\r\rOur wedding went off with out a hitch and I know it was because Rita and her team went above and beyond any expectation to make sure that our day ran smoothly and was as memorable as possible. I can not recommend Rita, her team and the DoubleTree Libertyville-Mundelein enough.

Rita is absolutely amazing, that is what sold us on this venue. She won't oversell you and she will take care of absolutely everything. Everything went off without a hitch and I didn't have to take care of anything the day of. Rita even made sure my room was cleaned early so I could get ready at the hotel (check in is usually 3). Everyone loved that our reception was at a hotel so they could just stumble upstairs. \r\rI was disappointed with our food; it was much better at our tasting than it was at our reception. Also, they advertise you'll be there one and only which we found appealing but on our particular wedding day there was a renaissance larping convention in the hotel... my guests found it amusing, but it was quite an eyesore. I guess they mean only wedding not their only event. \r\rOverall, if we had to do it over we would pick this venue again. We had such a wonderful wedding.

We chose this hotel for location, transportation offerings and the fact that it had a bar attached. The sales associates were not attentive to email and required multiple calls on my part to make sure everyone that should have been in the hotel room block was. My in laws were never placed in the room block and did not receive the special rate. \rThe transportation was a nightmare. I attempted to speak with a sales associate weeks before to request additional shuttles. I was assured that I had enough transportation. I spoke with a sales associate 3 times the day before my wedding and it was extremely frustrating. In the end, myself, my husband, immediate family and 6 other family friends had to wait about 20 minutes after the reception was over at the venue for a shuttle to make a second trip to retrieve us. Very frustrating after a long but wonderful day!\rThe hotel bar closed at midnight and we were very disappointed to have to walk half a mile for the after party since we chose this hotel partly for the bar.\rThe rooms were nice a spacious with lots of cool built-ins. The bathrooms are newly renovated and nice. \rIf you can figure out and be confident with the transportation plan ahead of time, this hotel would be fine.

Our wedding reception was exceptional!! We could not have asked for more! Rita was our event coordinator and everything was perfect! The room, the food, the service all exceeded expectations--everything we asked for was in place--not one thing overlooked. We had a unique travel theme and unusual centerpieces that needed to be \"set up\" on each table...19 different set ups..each one perfect! Our out of town guests loved the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms and the convenience to local activities. Everyone commented to us how much they enjoyed the venue, service and food and beverages. Thank you Rita and Doubletree you made our special day better than we had hope for!!

Harlie was our contact for our room block, she set everything up quickly and professionally. We did not have a limit to the days or number of rooms that could be booked and if a room was booked out of our block Harlie was happy to adjust the price for our guests. Even when the block cut off for reservations ended the hotel was kind enough to extend the discounted price for guests. Also they provided free shuttle services when set number of rooms were booked, we didn't pay a thing!

We just had our wedding at the Doubletree in Mundelein and I highly recommend it! The entire staff at the hotel is easy to work with, easy to contact, and happy to answer the million questions and requests that come with wedding planning! We worked with Rita Lavelle and she was so attentive to our needs. She had such a stress-free attitude that it made the planning process and day of fun and easy. We couldn't be happier with the space, staff, and the inclusive packages the hotel provided!

Working with Deborah at the Doubletree was easy. She was very informative and helpful during the whole process of picking a vendor and planning our wedding. We planned our wedding from a distance and Deborah was very understanding and flexible. She was able to fit our meetings and tastings into the times we were in town.\r\rThe food was fantastic, much better than most banquet food I've had in the past. The night of we didn't have to worry about anything, except enjoying ourselves as Deborah and her team had everything covered. There were a few mix ups with meals people received, however, those that spoke up had it corrected immediately. I only wish I could eat the meal again.\r\rThe reception venue was beautiful and arranged in a way that allowed the dancers to dance and those who just wanted to watch the ability to feel like they were still a part of the action.\r\rOverall, this was a great choice for reception venue. A place to party and spend the night all in one. Deborah and her team helped make sure that we enjoyed ourselves and that everything went smoothly.

Debra, the coordinator I worked with at the Doubletree, was wonderful! She helped with so many details and was a great help on the day of the wedding- keeping things moving and all. The food was delicious! The service was wonderful! They serve the best coffee, a small but delightful detail. The place is clean and has a nice feel to it. When you first walk in there is a fireplace and usually fresh flowers and it always smells and feels welcoming and sophisticated. \r\rWe had a large wedding so we did our cocktail hour in the lobby and then the reception in their main ballroom. I loved that I was the only Bride around the hotel that day as they only have one ballroom- I didn't have to share my day with any other brides. Our reception ended at midnight but we were able to keep the bar open for our guests who wanted to keep the party going- a safe way to keep people from driving around town looking for a bar. And, when everyone's done for the night, they only have to make it to the elevator- having your reception at a hotel always has that benefit. \r\rOverall- I HIGHLY recommend it!

The banquet hall, hotel rooms, and lobby were absolutely beautiful and kept impecibly clean. Also, the attached restaurant/bar \"Karma\" was great to have right on site for anyone that wanted to stay \"out\" after the reception and also great for the following morning breakfast buffet. We did have a little trouble negotiating with certain things to get them how we wanted for our wedding but overall the staff was great, the price was reasonable, and the food was delicious!! Everything was done by the staff, just as was discussed...right down to every detail. We had a fantastic time.
