Wedding Date 13-07-2019
We had some issues with the planning and execution at the wedding. Enough frustrations that made it an issue to bring up after the wedding - I know that our contact is no longer there so things may get better. The sales director, bartender, chef, and rooms were all amazing! I really believe it was our contact/coordinator that was the problem. I’d still suggest giving them a try - the food is SO GOOD!

My wedding ceremony was held in the court yard, and reception in the ballroom at Double Tree. Albeit stressed as the wedding approached, I can honestly say that everything went as planned on my wedding day, and I owe it to Maggie--my wedding day coordinator. Maggie was very prompt with communicating with the rest of my vendors. I had more than one food tasting, made adjustments to certain meals, yet the team was very accommodating. Consequently, everyone enjoyed their meals! I also appreciated their complimentary suite (night of wedding) and breakfast the following day. Thank you very much to Maggie and the rest of her team, for their hard-work in making sure my wedding day was a success!

The DoubleTree Hilton in downtown Milwaukee was an absolutely wonderful place to host our wedding reception, with excellent service all around. Angela was always on top of things, quick to answer questions and great with follow-up. We appreciated her attention to detail and how gracious she was with her time. She was friendly, personable, and professional, and did a fantastic job coordinating a bunch of small but crucial details, including working closely with several vendors. The ballroom space worked perfectly for our 95 person guest count, and all of the staff were attentive and helpful. Angela and her staff were able to accommodate not only multiple dietary requests but also a special health situation—the groom has multiple sclerosis (MS) and is sensitive to temperature variation—which made it important to keep the room on the cooler side. We found the catering minimum to be reasonable compared to other downtown venues, and it was awesome to have a complimentary room that night and complimentary breakfast the next morning. Amidst the stress of wedding planning it was a real relief to know that the reception preparation was in such good hands, and thanks to Angela, the event couldn’t have gone any more smoothly. We received many compliments on our venue choice and how beautiful the space was, and highly recommend that any engaged couple keep it in mind when planning their wedding reception.

We had a great experience with the DoubleTree for our reception venue. From the very first meeting we had with them, they were great to work with and wanted to make the day as seamless as possible for us. Angela was very attentive to our needs and wants and made sure everything went smoothly. She’s even there to help decorate and set up for you. Their food packages are also great and you get a lot for your money. All the staff there was a pleasure to work with and wanted to help in any way possible. Our guests loved the atmosphere and the food! Highly recommend for your reception venue!
