My wife and I had our reception at the DoubleTree Green Tree, and we couldn't imagine it having gone any better! We originally booked our reception here over two years ago, but we made the decision to move our original date when COVID hit last spring. They were so accommodating with allowing us to move our wedding date. It was at that point when we started working with Kristen Stewart, and she went above and beyond to make our wedding the day the most amazing day possible! She was so helpful throughout our entire planning process and was always available to answer all of our questions and address our concerns. The ballroom was absolutely gorgeous! Everything was organized and decorated beautifully, even better than we imagined! Kristen and Charles helped us curate an amazing menu for our guests! We received tons of compliments on the hors dâoeuvre selection at our cocktail hour, our dinner was fantastic, and the chicken fingers and potato skins at the after party were an absolute hit! Thank you to Charles for keeping our guests fed at the reception and for organizing a wonderful brunch buffet the following morning for all of our overnight guests. Our wedding was the best day of our lives, and we are so grateful for the entire team at the DoubleTree for making it happen!

My wife and I had our reception at the DoubleTree Green Tree, and we couldn't imagine it having gone any better! MaryAnn and staff were wonderful! They helped put together an unforgettable reception and they truly did everything to keep in our budget and make the night exactly as we wanted it. The reception went off without a hitch, it was beautiful and we couldnât have asked for a more perfect night!

Everything was amazing! We worked Kelly to get all of the planning done and it was so easy. I was a very hard bride in that I did not have many things I really cared about (except being married at the end of the day!).Kelly made it very simple for making decisions and we had very little to worry about in including the day of the wedding. On the day we worked with Rene and Charles, both were fantastic. They helped to keep our event flowing and barely made themselves noticeable (the sign of good service).The food was hot when everything arrived and everyone said they loved it. They were even able to deliver two plates to people in our group who could not make the reception. Truthfully, I was so relaxed before and during my reception I got to love the entire process rather than stressed.I would recommend using the DoubleTree to anyone and everyone because they made the process easy and fun, with an outstanding result. My husband and I had our wedding at the Doubletree on May 21 of this year- It was hands down the best day of our lives, and so much of that credit goes to the Doubletree! While we were searching for a venue after we first got engaged, it quickly became apparent that the Doubletree's package was priced the best for all that it offered (and it definitely came with more than other packages out there). As we all know, weddings are super expensive, and we knew that going in. I really didnât have my eye on any other place, I knew this would be the venue, and it was the only venue we visited. I quickly fell in love with it, as well as the wedding coordinator Kelly! She was awesome, sweet, accommodating, and worked with me through everything. If I had a question, I emailed her, and she quickly responded, and never got annoyed (I asked millions of questions ï) thatâs what I liked most about her. She walked us through step by step of planning our day, asked us questions we wouldn't have thought of on our own, and really spent the time listening and helping us to have the best reception of our lives. She definitely went out of her way to do things exactly the way we wanted. I can honestly say, that after our final meeting (even though it ran over, she never rushed us) I felt very confident that the next day, when I walked into the room and saw our reception area that I would fall in LOVE. And let me tell you, I did. Kelly and her team, along with the rest of my vendors worked together, to beautifully create our dream reception. Also the food is phenomenal. We got so many compliments on how delicious the food was, from the drinks, appetizers, to the main courses. Also, their filet is hands down the best filet youâll ever have, even beats Ruth Chris. Trust me you canât go wrong with the DoubleTree, Kelly and her team!

Our wedding was on 8/20/16. Admittedly, I wasn't sure that I wanted a hotel wedding at first, but we had a lot of family and friends traveling, so it made sense. The moment I met with Kelly for a tour of the hotel and ballroom, and to discuss what our wedding could be, my mind was made up. The hotel is beautiful and each and every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful. Kelly, the event coordinator, was enthusiastic, supportive, positive, reassuring and accessible. She'll answer every one of your questions, no matter how silly they may seem, and always happily go the extra mile for you. The process leading up to the wedding - meetings with Kelly, food tasting, decision making, etc. - was seamless and cooperative. On the day of the wedding, Kelly was on-hand and fully focused, ready to put out any fires and do anything she could to ensure everything was as perfectly as we imagined. The ballroom was decorated beautifully. Everything went smoothly, it was a lot of fun, the food was delicious, the service was great - overall an extraordinary experience and wedding day, thanks to Kelly and the entire Doubletree team. We've been singing their praises for months and will continue to do so. You won't be disappointed if you choose the Doubletree in Greentree!

I can not say enough wonderful, amazing things about my wedding at the Doubletree Greentree. My husband and I were married on July 22nd and had our reception at the Doubletree. It was truly the best choice we have ever made! Kelly Thornton is by far the greatest wedding coordinator in Pittsburgh. She answered my emails and phone calls in a very timely manner (I had a billion because we were planning the wedding on our own) and always made me feel important and comfortable with everything going on. She was incredibly thorough with everything that was planned and had a strict timeline which I very much appreciated. It helped everything run smoothly and was spaced out so I didn't ever feel overwhelmed. She was so friendly and fun to work with! Before deciding on our food selection, we a had a tasting, which was AWESOME. When the wedding day arrived, we knew the reception room would be beautiful, but we were blown away. The ballroom was so gorgeous!! The decorations were wonderful, EVERYONE commented on how delicious the food was, and all of our family and friends also made sure to let us know how friendly the bartenders and servers were, as well! Everything, and I mean everything, was just fantastic. A huge, sincere thank you to everyone at the Doubletree Hilton Greentree for helping make our wedding day the best of our lives. We will be recommending you to all of our engaged friends!

It was truly the best choice we have ever made! Kelly Thornton is by far the greatest wedding coordinator in Pittsburgh. We got married at the Double Tree on October 8, 2016 and I wish we could do it all over again! Kelly Thornton and her team made all of our dreams come true and put together a fantastic night we will never forget. Kelly made the planning and stressful decisions easy for us, she really knows her stuff and is wonderful at what she does. Kelly pays attention to all of the little details and is very accommodating. She made sure that we were happy with everything, every step of the way. Charles, Kelly's assistant is just as awesome as she is. He was there on the night of the wedding and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. On our wedding night, when we got a \"sneak peek\" of the ballroom before the guests arrived we were simply blown away. I knew that the ballroom would look great, but they really created something I could have never imagined, it was stunning! Every single part of the night went smoothly and if it didn't, I wouldn't have a clue. The food was delicious and the staff was excellent. We have had so many compliments from our guests saying how beautiful the wedding was and how much fun they had. Kelly and her team put so much effort into making the night one we will never forget. I absolutely loved working with Kelly and the Double Tree staff and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great time and a beautiful wedding!

My husband and I got married married at the DoubleTree in Greentree on October 1, 2016 and we could not have been any happier with our decision to have it there! The space was beautiful, the food was delicious, the service was top notch, and every detail of our big day was brought to life by Kelly and the terrific staff at the DoubleTree. We live 4 hours away from Pittsburgh which may have been challenging for some couples to plan a wedding in Pittsburgh...but not with Kelly! She was extremely accommodating in fitting us in to her busy schedule whenever we were in town. She kept us right on track and made the process so much easier for us. Thank you to Kelly and everyone at the DoubleTree for all of their time and effort which helped to make our wedding the BEST DAY EVER!

The food, the presentation of the ballroom, the service etc. was top notch. A special shout-out to their wedding planner, Kelly Thornton, she was well organized, very knowledgeable, and made sure we got exactly what we wanted for our special day. It was definitely a 5 star+ wedding.

My wedding was OK 4/23/2016. Everyone had a blast and it seemed like the night went by without a flaw. Thanks to Kelly Thornton I was able to keep track of all the small (and big) details of my wedding from food selections to seating arrangements and other various stressful decisions. The employees are very professional and knowledgeable and made sure my husband and I were enjoying ourselves throughout the night. Anyone looking for a venue this is THE PLACE!!! Thanks to Kelly Thornton I was able to keep track of all the small (and big) details of my wedding from food selections to seating arrangements and other various stressful decisions. She made everything fun and on my wedding day I didn't have to worry about a thing. The employees are very professional and knowledgeable and made sure my husband and I were enjoying ourselves throughout the night. Anyone looking for a venue this is THE PLACE!!! My guests were so impressed by everything and still tall about my wedding to this day. I love Kelly Thornton and the Doubletree!

Weddings are very costly events, we knew that going in, but the DoubleTree was the only venue that we walked away from our initial meeting feeling like we would get our money's worth if we chose them.And I am so happy we did. Not only was the package extremely reasonable for everything we got, Kelly, The DoubleTree's wedding coordinator was THE BEST part of the process. She walked us through step by step of planning our day, asked us questions we wouldn't have thought of on our own, and really spent the time listening and figuring out what our dream reception would look like. She gave advice when we asked for it, and she went out of her way to do things exactly the way we wanted, and in the year between us booking the Doubletree and our wedding day, Kelly was always just an email away whenever we had any question or concern no matter how trivial they were.After our final meeting with Kelly, I didn't think about the reception again until we were ready to walk in as Mr. & Mrs, because I completly trusted her vision and execution, and I was right to do so. The room was completely gorgeous, and everything from the cookie table, to the guests tables, to the Double Tree's staff waiting on my husband and I hand and foot made our day an absolute fairy tale. Kelly even stayed through most of the reception making sure everything was running smoothly, and when she left her assistant took over, so there wasn't a single minute where we were on our own.Booking a venue is one of the biggest decisions a Bride makes when planning her wedding- I am so happy we chose the DoubleTree because it made a notoriously stressful planning process FUN!

Kelly Thornton was amazing to work with! She made every step of the process easy and stress-free. I loved how everything was taken care of by the DoubleTree, I didn't have to worry about a thing (even centerpieces were included!). The DoubleTree Green Tree Hotel and the staff was so accommodating and wonderful. Many of my guests are still commenting on how good the food was. Wow...I do not even know where to start. The Doubletree was hands down the best venue we looked at when deciding where to have our wedding. We looked at many different places, but nothing compared to it. Kelly was the greatest! She was there for us the entire way. She kept me calm and collected and mind you, we were planning our wedding for over a year. She was never more that an email away. I would email her and she would get back to me instantly. We met Charles during our food tasting and he too was the best! \rWe have had so many complements! So many people have come up to us and even have called us to tell us that this was the BEST wedding they have EVER been to! The room was beautiful, the food was the best, the staff was more then gracious, ect. I had so many thoughts in my head what the room could and would look like but when Kelly gave us our first look at the room before guests were allowed into the room, I was lost for words! The room was breathtaking and more then I could have ever imagined. The only negative thing I can think of, is that the night had to end! But even then, our over night room was AMAZING and all the guests that stayed over night said how clean and beautiful their rooms were! \rI would HIGHLY recommend the Doubletree in Green Tree to anyone! Wow...I do not even know where to start. The Doubletree was hands down the best venue we looked at when deciding where to have our wedding. We looked at many different places, but nothing compared to it. Kelly was the greatest! She was there for us the entire way. She kept me calm and collected and mind you, we were planning our wedding for over a year. She was never more that an email away. I would email her and she would get back to me instantly. We met Charles during our food tasting and he too was the best! \rWe have had so many complements! Bride - Wedding reception was on 03/19/2016: When I first started my wedding planning, I didnât think I wanted to have a hotel wedding. I had researched and visited places I considered to be more âuniqueâ venues. I first met Kelly Thornton (the wedding event planner at Double Tree-Green Tree) at a bridal show and while I didnât think I wanted a hotel wedding, I decided to meet with her. The other wedding venue coordinators I met with were very nice, however, I was so blown away by Kelly at our initial meeting that I instantly changed my mind about a hotel wedding. I visited a couple other venues after meeting with Kelly and quickly realized my mind was made up â The Double Tree offered the best wedding package for what I wanted and Kellyâs customer service was unlike anywhere else I had gone.\r\rChoosing The Double Tree was the best decision I could have possibly made! The planning process can get overwhelming at times and Kellyâs assistance and guidance throughout the entire planning process truly removed the stress from it. She was always available to talk and answered all of my calls / emails within 24 hours. Throughout the entire process she was very thorough, keeping track of deadlines, ensuring I remained on track with the venue planning, helping me analyze all the small details and providing guidance on significant decisions. I had some last minute changes and Kelly accommodated them all without a second thought. I was literally care free on my wedding day â everything fell exactly into place and that can 100% be attributed to Kelly and her team.\r\rOn the day of my wedding, Kelly and her assistant, Charles, were very attentive the entire time â not only to me and the bridal party, but to all of the guests as well. The service was truly outstanding. Kelly kept my group in order, on time, gave instructions, met all the requests of my photographer and ensured I had a smile on my face the entire time. The staff that cleaned everything up was also amazing. The Double Tree provides a room to store your personal items / decor. Everything was neatly packed and organized. My daughter's recent wedding reception at the Doubletree in Greentree was a wonderful experience. I can't say enough about the staff who helped us through this special event. Kelly was our event planner and walked us through every preparation and was immediately available throughout the reception. Her experience and suggestions were very valuable to us. Charles was Kelly's assistant for our event. I don't think anyone can beat his customer service skills and he was very helpful to me, the mother of the bride, in particular throughout the evening. At the end of the evening one of the staff associates, Melvin, assisted us in gathering all of the items that needed to be transported to the holding room for the following morning. His sense of humor was a delight at the end of the day. Lance was the front desk associate who rose to the occasion each time I made a request from my hotel room through a need for scotch tape. He was so patient and accommodating. The was one wait staff who was so perceptive. She overhead my conversation with my 18 month old granddaughter during the food serving and came to the rescue. I am sorry I did not get her name. We had our wedding at The Doubletree in August, 2015. When I first walked in for a tour, it instantly felt like the right place for us. Kelly was our coordinator and she was absolutely amazing. She was so patient, honest, helpful and just so easy to work with. She really made this part of planning a breeze (which was great because the venue/food/lodging was highest on our list of importance). We had several out-of-town guests and with so many amenities the hotel felt almost like a resort. Being newly renovated and being so close to downtown, we didn't have to worry about or guests having a nice visit. I really could go on and on with how positive our experience was, but I will say that on the day of our wedding, we truly felt like royalty. The entire staff bent over backwards for us in so many ways, they exceeded our expectations. Kelly even bustled my dress so that my bridesmaids could eat/relax. We received so many compliments about the quality of the food and venue in general and are genuinely so pleased that we chose the Doubletree. Highly recommend and would choose it again!!!

My now husband and I began looking at venues with my mother roughly 18 months before our planned wedding. We researched a lot on line before making a list of those ones we wanted to see in person. The Doubletree Green Tree was roughly the 4th or 5th venue that we looked at in person. From day one when we met Kelly we knew we were in good hands. During the initial visit Kelly took us on a tour and went over all of the packages and options with us. On the ride home we decided that this was likely the place for us. We were all in love with it. We got back in contact with Kelly and based on our guest list # we were between 3 and 4 portions of the large ballroom. We finally decided on 4, thankfully because our guest list continued to grow, and we had 286 people at our wedding. The spacing of the 4 portions was PERFECT for our side wedding. Once we booked the venue Kelly was an amazing help. She was always there to answer my ever growing list of questions. She was also an absolute asset in the planning process, with great recommendations for other vendors. We did the tasting approximately 6 months prior to our event, and it was great. The food was amazing, and Kelly took detailed notes regarding our likes and dislikes and helped us decide on what our final menu was. Her detailed notes at the tasting proved extremely helpful closer to the wedding when we decided to add some extras, and she had notes regarding things that we had forgotten. As the wedding drew closer Kelly was always in touch regarding things we needed to be doing, and helped us stay on track of our timeline. She was also so detail oriented from getting to know us to helping us pick dĂ©cor and plan the layout of the room. Two days prior to our reception we gained access to the âcookie room,â where we trayed all of our cookies and stored everything needed for the reception. Kelly helped me organize everything and make sure everything was accounted for. Our cocktail hour was in Salon A and our reception was in all 4 portions of the large ballroom. The parkway ended up being closed on our wedding which made for lots of traffic and delays, we arrived as the reception was to be starting. All I wanted to do was see the room before everyone was in it and Kelly made it happen, it was amazing. Everything during our reception was perfect, the food was all served quickly and was hot, we had tons to drink, amazing cake and too many cookies to count. It was one amazing party that I am still receiving compliments on 3 months later. We extended the time by a half hour and I wish we would have extended it by an hour because no one was ready to stop partying, we all ended up going to the lobby bar and partying there. As you know anything that is associated with âweddingâ instantly goes up in price, I feel that what we paid for in relation to what we got was fantastic. I have received compliments from multiple people saying it was the nicest wedding they have ever been to. The entire event was amazing and we were treated like royalty. There is a lot included in the package that isnât included at other venues we looked at and this was wonderful. If I could go back and do it all over again I would most definitely pick the Doubletree Green Tree, between the beauty of the venue, the utmost helpful staff and the asset that Kelly is, I highly recommend this venue, for weddings both large and small.

My husband and I had our wedding reception here on 10/23. The wedding coordinator, Kelly, was my angel sent from heaven. She was there for us from day one. Doubletree was the 13th venue site my husband and I toured and we were blown away from the first minute. Kelly takes the time to show and explain to you everything so going in there are no surprises. After viewing here we canceled all other appointments, we knew this place was the perfect match. Through all the planning, Kelly was there to answer all our questions and give her opinion/advice. Kelly was even on the floor the day of our wedding bustling my dress and vial! yard space to our reception everything was gorgeous. One of the requirments we had when looking for a venue was outdoor ceremony space. The Doubletree has an outdoor courtyard that can be rented for use, weather permitting. The day of our wedding, the weather was beautiful and we were beyond thrilled that our dream of an outdoor wedding was happening. From the courtyard for our ceremony space to the ballroom for our reception, we were completely blown away.Everything looking amazing and was breathtaking. Kelly and her team team did an amazing job with decor and incorporating our decorations in as well. The food was delicious and served hot and the bartenders were not greedy when making drinks. Once Kelly left, Bill was there for us throughout the rest of the night and he assisted us all of our needs as well. We would recommend Kelly and the Doubletree-Greentree location to anybody who asks or wants a recommendation. You will not go wrong!! It takes a lot to \"wow\" my dad's side of the family and they still have not stopped talking about our wedding and how they were all blown away. I did add many extras to the room such as; up lighting, changing the linens, adding chair covers and sashes and upgrading the flowers. While not cheap it was well worth the price when the ballroom doors were opened and a collective gasp was heard from our guests. If you are going for the \"Wow Factor\" and still want an elegant event this is definitely the place to pick.

My husband, family and I loved this place so much that we actually called to book it that very same afternoon. When you know, you just know! We booked it in July 2014, and were not getting married until September 2015. Kelly kept in touch with me during those 14 months, and was extremely knowledgeable about 'all things wedding'. She helped me get on the right track to planning my dream wedding. Fast forward to our wedding week, Kelly had every last detail plotted out for us. When we left the meeting with her, 1 week before the wedding, I felt completely at ease and I knew everything would turn out amazing. On the wedding day, when we arrived at the reception, Kelly met us at the front door and was with us the whole time before we entered the ballroom, asking me if we needed anything or if there was anything her or her staff could do. Kelly took it upon herself to bustle my dress for me! My husband and I soon realized that my dress was longer than I thought it was, and the dance that we practiced so hard for, was almost not going to happen. Kelly had a trick up her sleeve and was able to fix my dress. She literally saved the day! The Oakmont Junior Ballroom looked absolutely breathtaking when I walked in. Words just cannot describe how beautiful it was. It was above and beyond my expectations. The staff did a wonderful job of putting it all together. The food was perfectly cooked, and came out nice and HOT! Every one of my guests told me that 'this was the nicest wedding that they had ever been to', and that they had so much fun. That's exactly what I wanted to hear. This hotel made my wedding come to life! It was truly the best day of my life, and I couldn't have done it without Kelly Thornton and staff. She helped me get on the right track to planning my dream wedding. Fast forward to our wedding week, Kelly had every last detail plotted out for us. When we left the meeting with her, 1 week before the wedding, I felt completely at ease and I knew everything would turn out amazing. On the wedding day, when we arrived at the reception, Kelly met us at the front door and was with us the whole time before we entered the ballroom, asking me if we needed anything or if there was anything her or her staff could do. Kelly took it upon herself to bustle my dress for me! My husband and I soon realized that my dress was longer than I thought it was, and the dance that we practiced so hard for, was almost not going to happen. Kelly had a trick up her sleeve and was able to fix my dress. She literally saved the day! The Oakmont Junior Ballroom looked absolutely breathtaking when I walked in. Words just cannot describe how beautiful it was. It was above and beyond my expectations. The staff did a wonderful job of putting it all together. The food was perfectly cooked, and came out nice and HOT! Every one of my guests told me that 'this was the nicest wedding that they had ever been to', and that they had so much fun. That's exactly what I wanted to hear. This hotel made my wedding come to life! It was truly the best day of my life, and I couldn't have done it without Kelly Thornton and staff. I will recommend this venue to every bride I know. Booking this venue will be the best choice you ever made!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience planning of our daughter's wedding reception. Kelly and Charles were exceptional helping us plan a beautiful wedding for our daughter and son-in-law. The atmosphere was lovely, to the lighting and the table set-up to the flowers. The staff was great and very helpful to us and all of our guests. The night went smoothly without any glitches. The food was amazing. Everyone of our guests commented how delicious the food was and that it was an amazing and unforgetable wedding. I want to also make a special note that Charles, who was one our wedding planners, never stopped checking on us to see if we needed anything or if everything was going alright with the wedding. He was exceptional and professional. The Hilton is lucky to have someone so dedicated to make sure the hosts were happy!! Overall, we were highly satisfied with all aspects of our reception venue. They let us tray cookies in a conference room at the hotel, and Charlie came and got us while we were traying cookies to let us know that they had started to set up the room if we wanted to come and see it (which was exciting!). I was completely blown away by how beautiful the room looked when we first walked into the reception! To see it all decorated with the soft lighting, it was so gorgeous! There were a few minor details that we were not happy about. There was a tip jar on the bars and we had been told that there would not be. They wheeled a luggage cart with the bridal party's belongings into the reception room and put it right next to the gift table. I had my wedding reception at the doubletree hotel earlier this month and I just simply cannot stop talking about it. So, whenever my husband and I were looking for venues, we looked at many different places, however, after reading many different very good reviews about this venue we decided to give it a try. Making an appointment was very easy and we were able to meet only a couple of days after first speaking with Kelly, the amazing wedding coordinator for the hotel. During our first meeting Kelly explained everything that is included, broke down prices and answered the hundreds of questions I had. After that first meeting we were completely sure that this was the venue for us, not to mention that the hotel is absolutely beautiful. Throughout the planning process, Kelly was readily available to answer my questions and was on top of everything that needed to be done. The hotel packages included to mention a few things a very generous variety of h'orderves, entrées, drink selections and very importantly to me, the centerpieces. \rThe day of my reception was absolutely beyond what I had dreamed of. We had a small wedding with 75 guest. I must say that when Kelly initially showed us the room we would use for the reception, my thought was \"this would do\". It looked very pretty and clean, but I just couldn't really picture my reception. Anyway, the day of the reception I almost fell over in amazement when I saw the room! It was absolute completely transformed into an amazing, elegant, beautiful and dreamy venue. My colors were purple and ivory and the room was an amazing balance between those two colors. The centerpieces they provided, which I was able to pick and help create were also way beyond what anyone would expect as an included item in a package. To be realistic, many of us would think that since its an included item, we would be limited to a simple, cheap looking centerpiece, well I am very happy to inform any bride here that, that is not the case. My centerpieces were incredible 4 feet tall beauties of exactly what I wanted. The colors matched perfectly and the florist did exactly what made me happy.\rThe food was absolutely delicious. The day of the reception, to be honest, I was very scared that the food was not going to be what we had tried during our food tasting, well I must say, the food was even better! It was very tasty and displayed beautifully. We received a lot of compliments about it. The service was exemplar and the waiters were very pleasant. \rTo conclude, I must say that the doubletree hotel and their staff went absolutely above and beyond with their customer service. At every moment I was there to meet with Kelly, I felt like her priority at that time, she did nothing but take care of absolutely every detail to even the smallest of my requests. She was very pleasant and an honor to work with. The day of our reception both my husband and I felt as royalty as well as our guest. Everybody that attended our wedding were absolutely very well taken care of. I was able to relax and just simply enjoy that beautiful day. I would hands down absolutely recommend this venue to any bride out there and guarantee that your day will be amazing.

The Pittsburgh location was a destination for our families. We could not have asked for better guidance from Kelly Thornton on all aspects of this wedding from room bookings, other vendors, and the reception banquet itself. Her quick response to any of our questions in the preparation months and most definitely the 6 days involved with the wedding gave us calm confidence for the beautiful event. Her banquet staff attended to every aspect making the event stress-free & beautiful. Our bride and groom were so very happy, and were blown away with their reception! Our many guests were so complimentary of the rooms, staff, facilities, and most definitely - the dinner! We all want to have a \"do-over\" for the kids first anniversary! As parents, you couldn't ask for a better venue to celebrate your children's union! Worth every dime/dollar!!\r\rAs for the rooms, we were very pleased with the help choosing an appropriate blocking and date. The hotel worked well with us to add to the block and was gracious to extend our blocking date to accomodate the number of out-of-town guests. Again, our guests were extremely pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms, the amenities (inside & outside pools!), the restaurant, bistro, and bar offerings. This made us very comfortable knowing our guests were not \"traveling\" around the city looking for places to go.\r\rOur bride and groom were treated to a complimentary suite and breakfast on their wedding night. Room number not revealed and in a different tower than other guests!\r\rKelly and her staff were also helpful in arranging transportation to off-site events we scheduled for the bride/bridesmaids and groom/groomsmen. \r\rI also need to mention the so-called \"cookie room\" or \"holding room\". As a destination wedding, we were concerned about how to cram all the \"extras\" needed for all the surrounding events. The DoubleTree provided us with a complimentary room which only we had access to for storage. No need to stack boxes and gifts in our hotel rooms! This was so very helpful for both families! I just cannot tell you how easy this hotel made our wedding weekend. We only had to enjoy the love of family, friends, and especially our children. THAT is the way a wedding should be!

I first met Kelly Thornton (wedding event planner at DoubleTree-Green Tree) in August of 2014. This was my first venue I was visiting, and it was also my last. \r\rKelly is an individual you feel like you've know all of your life. She answers all of your questions thoroughly, and was very reassuring when any concerns were expressed. In other words, she had an answer for everything! She wasn't afraid to get down to business, and helped us to make significant decisions when they had to be made. She was more organized in planning my wedding than even I was, offering vendor suggestions, setting deadlines for my husband and I, and following up with me after every meeting through email or phone call, pinpointing and analyzing every last detail to make my wedding day carefree and ultimately, perfect.\r\rThe day of the wedding was marvelous. When I got off my party bus, it was calming to see Kelly waiting just outside the bus. She led us to the cocktail room, and made sure I had just what I needed, as well as my bridal party. Everything ran extremely smoothly, and she always kept me informed of what was to come during the reception. The ballroom looked just as I had envisioned it, and Kelly and staff did a fantastic job setting up my personal items I brought to have on the tables. There was always someone there to help during the reception, which in turn helped my husband and I actually take in everything happening around us (a rarity during your wedding).\r\rIn addition, the food was something that I was very concerned with, as food at weddings is often difficult to enjoy. Both my husband's family, as well as mine, received endless compliments about the dual plate of filet and chicken scampi. One of the first things that was clear is that the food came out HOT (not always the case at weddings). The portions were large, (even the shrimp), and all of the meat was very juicy!\r\rDuring the wedding, Kelly worked with a man named Charlie. He was also helpful in making sure my husband, family, and myself had everything we needed throughout the wedding. He was vigilant, and also available the second we needed anything. To have two individuals there to assist was excellent. \r\rI could not have envisioned a better wedding for my husband and I. The DoubleTree-Green Tree and Kelly Thornton will make planning a wedding less stressful, and help you to actually enjoy the process. I come from a very concerned, involved family, and Kelly even made the \"worriers\" overjoyed once they saw what she was able to do for us the day of the wedding. My Son had his wedding at the DoubleTree on May 23rd, 2015,we worked with Kelly throughout the process and it was a pleasant experience. When the day came on May 23rd it was everything we expected and more. Kelly's staff was unbelievable, our friends and family loved the event and really enjoyed themselves.\r\rThank you Kelly !

I have received nothing but compliments on Cait & Josh beautiful wedding day, the banquet hall was breathtaking, the food was excellent, the cocktail hour was spectacular, the service was immediate, no lines at the bar!!\r\rI thought the day went perfect!!\r\rThank you for your wonderful \"Wedding Planner\" Service!!! \r\rCaitlin & Josh had a smile from ear to ear from morning to night! That's what made it so special!!\r\rLove,\r\rKathy Griener\r\rPS \r\rPS ~ I cannot thank the DoubleTree for getting the Bride & Bridesmaids from the hotel to the church (our limo ride never showed up!) \r\rCurtis took us in the \"Cookie Van!\" Wasn't very funny that day when we all crunched into the van ~ but now we have a great memory to tell . . . The wedding ceremony went on, just a little late!\r\r ~ The DoubleTree came to our rescue immediately ~ without an issue at all!! ~\r\r\rTHANK YOU CURTIS!! You are to be commended!!\r\r

We started wedding planning with Kelly (event coordinator) in Feb. 2014 for our May 2015 wedding. Kelly was very professional. We met with her a couple times over the year to make reception decisions and went for a complimentary tasting to pick the reception meal. The staff was wonderful and very attentive to all of our needs. They handled all of the decorating and preparations for us.\r\rWe held the Rehearsal Dinner, Ceremony and Reception at the hotel. It was a great venue to do this given the amount of out of town guests we had.\r\r

This hotel is beautiful and perfect for a wedding!!! The ballroom was the perfect size for our smaller wedding and it was gorgeous. This wedding package includes so much :). Kelly Thornton was fabulous!! She helped every step of the way and made our night amazing with all the details of our event!! The staff did not skip a beat from the beginning to the end they were on top of everything! The guests raved about how great the food was too!!!!! Thanks for making our dream come true!!!!!!!

This hotel is beautiful and perfect for a wedding!!! The ballroom was the perfect size for our smaller wedding and it was gorgeous. This wedding package includes so much :). My husband and I held our wedding reception at the Green Tree Doubtletree last September and are very happy that we did. Everything ran smoothly, the guests had a great time, and we heard excellent reviews about the food. There were two other weddings at the hotel on our date which made us very nervous, but I might never have known if I hadn't been told ahead of time because our wedding seemed to get as much attention as it would have if it were the only one there that day.\r\rThe value for what you get at this venue was so much better than what we were finding elsewhere and really took a lot of stress out of the planning process. The event staff were very helpful and friendly and answered all of our questions. Also, the hotel's accommodations for our guests really stood out from other places, which was very important to us.

I showed up without an appointment but one of their coordinators, Kelly, met with me and spent about an hour showing me the location and discussing options. I knew that I wanted Kelly to organize my wedding. Her execution was flawless and on those days that I was freaking out, she calmed me. I completely trusted her. She wanted my day to be extra special and I knew that it would be. All of my guests have commented on how wonderful the location was, beautiful the decorations, and ultimately, how tasty the food. I would highly recommend the DoubleTree.

My husband and I had our reception here on September 13, 2014. I did a lot of research on venues and was extremely impressed with the inclusions the Doubletree had to offer. I found their article in Whirl magazine. The wedding coordinator Kelly is great at her job. I was a very laid back, hands off bride and loved knowing that Kelly had everything handled for me. She and her staff went above and beyond to meet the requests that we made. Charles was in charge of our party after dinner and he was just as amazing. I can honestly say that I got to thoroughly enjoy every second of my wedding and felt completely at ease knowing that everyone had everything under control. The only complaint that I have was that one of the upgrades that we had to add wasn't put out and I had to ask about it. Not a huge deal but we almost didn't get something that we HAD to add and pay extra for. I can honestly say that if I could go back and change anything about my wedding day, I wouldn't. It was perfect and the Doubletree had a lot to do with that.

Kelly, our coordinator, was helpful from the start. She was able to answer every question we had and she helped fill in many of the blanks my wife and I had in planning. She helped us stay on top of things (homework for the bride and groom!).\r\rThe day of the wedding went fairly smoothly, no major mistakes. At first we were reluctant to have the hotel play such a large role in the wedding activities themselves (like potential door holders), but it ended up being the right mix of hotel service with our own wedding helpers. They were very respectful of the way we envisioned the ceremony and reception.\r\rThe staff were super respondent to our requests (adjusting lighting, boxing food to go, finding a vase for my wife's bouquet after the ceremony, etc).\r\rOnly reason I'm giving 4-stars for quality is that there are more \"expensive\" and more \"elegant/modern\" quality venues, but I wouldn't let that deter from choosing the DoubleTree. They recently renovated and everything was new, and last call out was that there were not too many good looking locations for photos.\r\rOverall, we were very pleased with the DoubleTree in the Green Tree. We felt we received great value for what we spent and it didn't feel like breaking the bank ;)

There are not enough words to convey how exceptional my wedding day was; largely due to the time, effort, and substantial work from Kelly, Charlie, and the entire Doubletree Greentree staff! Overall, my husband and I along with our parents are extremely satisfied and would HIGHLY recommend this venue! I could not be happier with the decision to have my wedding reception here and would not change one thing about the night. The majority of our guests are still talking about our wedding as, âthe best wedding theyâve ever been toâ and how beautifully it was put together, the delicious food, the room dĂ©cor, the entertainment, the elegance of the hotel and its rooms, and memories that will never be forgotten at the Doubletree - Greentree!! \r The Doubletree by Hilton â Greentree was one of the first venues that sparked my interest because it was close to our Ceremony location, it could hold our approximate guest size, and the hotel provided a complementary shuttle to and from the airport, which was an excellent convenience for our guests because many of them were from out of town! When I first met Kelly, I could tell she was a very genuine person who was passionate about making my day perfect and stress-free (which she reiterated several times throughout our meeting as being an important part of her process). She described the Doubletree wedding packages very specifically, which was an extremely important element to me. I needed to fully trust the Event Coordinator at my reception venue and soon recognized that Kelly could be that person\r After meeting with Kelly we decided that the Doubletree was our Reception venue. During our planning process, we experienced some issues and addressed them with Kelly. If possible, we needed to push back our wedding date one year from our current date. Kelly was concerned and understanding of our situation and went to the board of the Doubletree to inform them and pull in our favor (which to this day is the most breathtaking act of kindness I have experienced). She was successful in her attempts and as a result my husband and I have a more advantageous future ahead of us! \r Kelly, Charlie, and Doubletree staff could not have been more accommodating during this entire process! Every question, comment, and concern of mine was addressed and taken care of with the greatest of ease and excellent response time. Over the years, Kelly has composed a preferred vendors list which is given to her clients as a resource and a convenience. We were advised to communicate with the preferred vendors as the Doubletree forms and maintains successful working relationships with outside vendors. We booked all of our vendors from her list and were very happy with every one, highly recommending them to our family and friends! \r Sticking to her promise of a stress-free day, Kelly ensured that my special day was one I was going to remember. Several unforeseen events occurred on our wedding day, causing our bridal party to arrive 40 minutes late; triggering panic within me. As we arrived she greeted everyone with a smile that calmed my nerves immediately. \r Kelly, Charlie, and the rest of the Doubletree event staff consistently made sure my husband and I as well as our families received anything and everything we needed throughout the night. The customer service was extraordinary!! My husband and I have never experienced such conscientious, professional, and friendly service as we did that night and are completely satisfied! \r

There aren't even words to express how amazing Kelly, Charlie, and the rest of the DoubleTree staff are. Kelly made the entire wedding planning process SO easy for us, and the night of our reception went off without a single hitch. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the food is out of this world, and our ballroom could not possibly have been any prettier. Our guests were stopping us all night to tell us what a good time they were having and how much they enjoyed their meals.\r\rWhen we were pricing venues, I was hesitant to consider the DoubleTree as I thought they would be out of our budget, but when we broke down everything that was included in the price -- hors d'oeuvres, bar service, dinner, linens, centerpieces, our suite for the night, and more -- it's well-priced. Most importantly, you get Kelly as your coordinator, and she is just marvelous. She took care of everything from start to finish so that we didn't have to worry about a thing. And at the end of our reception I realized it was all worth every. single. penny. \r\r\r(Plus! We put the Hilton Honors points we earned by paying for our reception towards the hotel for our honeymoon.)\r\rShould you decide to work with Kelly and the DoubleTree, you will absolutely not regret it.

We had our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour in the courtyard and our reception in the Duquesne Room. Everything was beautiful and set up exactly like we had discussed. Kelly, the event coordinator, was very professional and made sure everything was done correctly and to our liking. I can't say enough about Kelly, it was a pleasure to work with her. Our guests commented numerous times about how great the hotel accommodations were and how delicious the wedding food was. We were extremely pleased by the DoubleTree GreenTree. They helped make our wedding day everything we wanted it to be.

My husband and I just got married at the Doubletree. We had a Friday wedding and were originally scheduled to have our reception in the Junior Ballroom. At no extra cost we were upgraded to the Grand Ballroom since it was available on that Friday! It made the day even better having the extra space for our 175 guest list.\r\r\rIn addition, the staff was helpful every step of the way. Kelly answered all emails within a day and we had planned with her for just about a year, so there were many emails! She met with us several times, including two times the weeks leading up to the wedding to cover every question we had! It really helped to ease our minds. \r\rOn the day of the wedding everyone was accommodating, checking on our needs every step of the way. The staff made sure my husband and I had everything we needed and even let us go to our cocktail hour a little early when we finished with our photographer early and the limos air conditioner wasn't working. It really saved time in our day that could have been miserable for our us and our wedding party since it was a 90 degree day! \r\rI highly recommend the Doubletree and even suggest talking to them about other vendors you may need, florist, DJ, etc. They know the business and what vendors can make your day even better.

My husband and I just got married at the Doubletree. We had a Friday wedding and were originally scheduled to have our reception in the Junior Ballroom. At no extra cost we were upgraded to the Grand Ballroom since it was available on that Friday! It made the day even better having the extra space for our 175 guest list.\r\r\rIn addition, the staff was helpful every step of the way. Kelly answered all emails within a day and we had planned with her for just about a year, so there were many emails! She met with us several times, including two times the weeks leading up to the wedding to cover every question we had! It really helped to ease our minds. \r\rOn the day of the wedding everyone was accommodating, checking on our needs every step of the way. The staff made sure my husband and I had everything we needed and even let us go to our cocktail hour a little early when we finished with our photographer early and the limos air conditioner wasn't working. It really saved time in our day that could have been miserable for our us and our wedding party since it was a 90 degree day! \r\rI highly recommend the Doubletree and even suggest talking to them about other vendors you may need, florist, DJ, etc. They know the business and what vendors can make your day even better.

My guests had a fantastic time. The venue is definitely expensive, but I felt that it was well worth it and if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing!

We had our wedding reception at the Doubletree in Greentree, PA. We worked with the Banquet Manger Kelly Thornton, and she was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process of planning a wedding. My wife and myself were very pleased how quickly she responded and was able to accomodate all of our requests and special favors, by a simple voice message or e-mail. My daughter and her now husband live in Atlanta so I did most of their wedding planning and coordinating with their input. Her wedding was June 14, 2014. Our night at the Doubletree in Greentree was phenomenal. Kelly Thorton was there to guide us through every step and the result was an enjoyable evening for the bride, groom, wedding party, parents, and ALL guests. Our final guest count was 250+ and after the wedding many many guests complimented us on what a great time they had and how good the food was. Our entire event was held at the Doubletree from ceremony to reception. We even received compliments from the guests as to how comfortable the beds are. The hotel has just undergone a renovation and all of the rooms (guest rooms and banquet rooms) were clean and vibrant. It was also nice to be out of the traffic and hustle and bustle of downtown. Our guests did not have to pay for parking and neither did our vendors who had to come on property. If your vendors have to pay for parking...they typically pass that cost along to you. With so many guests coming from out of town, it was also nice to be able to offer them a room rate much lower than those of the downtown hotels in addition to the free parking. They also offer a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport which was another plus for our out of town guests. The package inclusions at the Doubletree exceeded those of some downtown hotels that I considered and at a much better per person rate. I looked at many of the downtown hotels and they were a bit out of my budgetary reach. If you are in the same position, give this venue a call. You get more for less there. As with any party for 250+, there are things I would have done differently in hindsight. However, I would not have changed venues...I would have booked this venue again.

We had an excellent experience with the Doubletree in Greentree, Pittsburgh, PA. When we originally signed up, we did not anticipate that the hotel would be totally renovated. We lucked out with this and the rooms, ball room, and lobby were gorgeous for us and our guests. We had planned on being outside in the court yard for the ceremony, but when we woke up on the wedding day, it was pouring. The Doubletree staff was very nice and accommodating moving the ceremony inside for us and it was beautiful. The staff was very sweet and catered to our every need. This was a perfect place to have a Pittsburgh wedding without the troubles that parking downtown can present. My new husband and I highly recommend the Doubletree in Greentree to anyone looking to get married! They contract with the Botanical Emporium who made gorgeous centerpieces and bouquets, Chair Covers and Linens who provided the pretty chair covers and sashes for the reception, and Bethel Bakery who made us a beautiful and delicious cake! We did not have to follow up with any of those vendors as the Doubletree did it for us! We had an excellent experience with Kelly Thornton and we highly recommend this venue! We had a magical day and we hope you do too!

I wish every mother of the bride could meet and be helped by Kelly Thornton at the Doubletree Greentree, Pittsburgh.\rThe Junior ballroom was the perfect size for 150 guests. The hotel accomodations and service was excellent for our many out of town guests and local guests who did not want the evening to end. We all made use of the lounge/bar area for our after party. The renovations of all hotel areas are gorgeous. The food served was of the highest quality, melt in your mouth filet mignon...The appetizer display and contents worthy of royalty. The whole thing exceeded our expectaions and was very affordable. \r\rMs. Kelly Thornton made it a breeze for us to plan our daughters wedding. The bride lives in Florida but chose to get married at home in Pittsburgh. She made the right choice with the Doubletree Greentree.

The renovations of all hotel areas are gorgeous. The food served was of the highest quality, melt in your mouth filet mignon...The appetizer display and contents worthy of royalty. The whole thing exceeded our expectaions and was very affordable. \r\rMs. Kelly Thornton made it a breeze for us to plan our daughters wedding. The bride lives in Florida but chose to get married at home in Pittsburgh. She made the right choice with the Doubletree Greentree.

Everything went very well for our daughter;s wedding. The Hilton/Greentree was very accommodating to our budget and worked with us right from the start. Kelly Thornton our Catering Manager did everything she could to see that all our needs were met. I would recommend this facility for a wedding. Oh, we had 90% of our guests stay at the hotel and everyone loved it. It was especially nice after \"partying\" that instead of driving they just walked to their rooms.

It was a good experience. We were married in the courtyard. The only thing I didn't like was the stage and arch. It looked like it was threw together last minute. The service from the managers was great. The servers at the reception were good but they kept throwing away food drinks too quickly. I would do it the same way if I had to do it again. I couldn't be happier with how my wedding reception at the Doubletree in Green Tree turned out!!! Kelly was a pleasure to work with - very detailed oriented & upbeat. We had our cocktail hour in the outdoor courtyard & the reception in the Duquesne Room. When I first saw the Duquesne room decorated for my reception, it took my breath away - it was beautiful!! The Doubletree in Green Tree has just been renovated so everything is brand new & up to date.

Always taking notes and asking what they wanted and offering suggestions to help make things better. Everything they wanted she made it work( and I thought my kid had high expectations) But Kelly didn't and made it happen. Everyone went out of their way to make sure our day was exactly how we wanted it! The venue was setup exactly how I imagined, only it looked 1000x more amazing than I expected.\r\rEvery guest we have spoken to stated how outstanding the wedding was! The most popular comments we received were how beautiful everything looked, how good the food was, how nice the staff was, and how convenient the hotel was located and setup. \r\rThe wedding coordinator, Kelly Thorton, was amazing to work with! She was always prompt in her responses (no matter how crazy my questions were) and was just extremely helpful! She really made me feel like I was the only bride she was working with and made my entire experience as stress free as possible!\r\rI would recommend to anyone the Doubletree - Green Tree to anyone looking for a place to host their wedding. I cannot express just how wonderful EVERYTHING was for our son & daughter-in-law's wedding reception at the Doubletree by Hilton in Green Tree.\r\rKelly Thornton was an absolute pleasure to work and handled everything for the reception and guest rooms perfectly.\r\rWe took a chance on having the reception there as the hotel was in the middle of major renovations and even though the renovation work was in full progress at the time of the reception, it was concealed as best as possible. Not one of the guests had ANY complaints whatsoever.\r\rThe guests at the wedding gave us wonderful feedback about the Doubletree and the staff. There were many compliments on the food, the atmosphere and the staff and the ballroom looked amazing and left me speechless with it's beauty.\r\rThere is a lot of work that goes into planning a wedding, and ours was all done in a matter of 6 months, which is almost unheard of today. With Kelly's help, the reception part of the wedding day was absolutely perfect. \r\rI give a rating of outstanding! THANK YOU Kelly and staff for making our son's wedding a very special day!!! Your help and guidance will always be remembered and we will highly recommend both you and the Doubletree!

Our church used to have several weddings at this venue until recently the event coordinator changed. The price they gave us was double that of previous similar weddings and they would not budge. We found them not very accommodating and not very honest at times.

The wedding coordinators were very accomodating and nice. I was able to bargain a bit to get costs down. Food was excellent, ambience very nice, staff friendly, except for one grumpy bar tender. All inclusive set up was convenient (cake and flowers included in overall price).

i had m wedding shower at the radisson in greentree. they provide a great deal because the room is free, you only have to pay for the food and drinks. we decided on an afternoon tea theme so we had the tea sandwiches, small cakes and pastries, and fresh fruits. the food was good however they did not serve enough for the number of people we had at the shower. my mother did talk to the manager and they quickly brought out more food but it was a bit uncomfortable for a moment. otherwise the space was great and they ended up giving us the wine for free since the manager insisted they did not carry that brand at their hotel! We saved a bundle!

There were some minor details that went wrong such as they didn't serve the kind of salad that I wanted and they forgot to put favors at the head table but all in all it is a wonderful place to have a reception. It is a tad pricey but everything is totally worth it. Everyone was super nice and the food was delicious. The hospitality room that they provide for the bridal party before they enter the reception is wonderful. They provide appetizers and drinks. I've been to so many weddings where the wedding party never gets to enjoy the appetizers. The hotel suite that they provide for you the night of the wedding is also amazing! If I ever have another wedding it will definitely be at the Radisson!!!

At the beginning of the planning we were working with Maryann Matthews. She was really great and she was always quick to get back to me about everything. She always made me feel comfortable and reassured me everything would be perfect and it was at the wedding. Although I was sad because she retired a few months prior to our wedding and we were assigned a new lady named Kelly who took her place. Kelly I am not sure if she did not have much experience but she was very lackadaisical. I had to email and call multiple times before getting an answer. Everything at the wedding was amazing. I really loved the lady who headed our wedding. Her name was Debbie Sgro. The food and night was amazing. We had the best time. One thing though that was never asked by the wedding coordinator at hotel was how the actual wedding was or anything along those lines to see if we were satisfied with everything. Debbie did ask the next day when we picked up our cake and a few other items. I am just not sure if I would book there again knowing Maryann is no longer there. She was so nice even in retirement before our wedding she sent us a wedding card wishing us well and a wonderful wedding.

It is a place where alot of my extended family works so I was able to really get what my vision was for the wedding and it was a comfortable place for my husband and I. We were able to have the grand ballroom and a large dance floor since I come from a ballroom dance background. We had terrific food and do some different things a caterer wouldn't do. We had top shelf liquor and our choose of wine and beer. There was also a lounge so that we could continue the festivities when we had to be out of the ballroom.
