If I could give this venue 10 stars, I would. Catering manager, Erin is amazing, and truly made our wedding a dream. She’s accommodating, responsive and made the planning process seamless. The ballrooms were just remodeled, and are beautiful and spacious. The food is delicious, and the staff is incredible. We’re so happy we decided to have our wedding at the Doubletree.

The wedding coordinator, Erin, was absolutely wonderful to work with. During this pandemic she kept me informed of all the changes that were happening almost on a daily basis. Even though the reception was canceled 48 hours prior prior to our wedding reception due to the pandemic, she done her very best to allow us to have a small celebration with our bridal party in the lounge and ordered food in. The day may not of been what we dreamed or envisioned, but it was the wedding that was meant to be. It was beautiful.

My husband and I had our reception here over a month ago. The venue was very accommodating, the food was excellent, and the staff was exceptional. The event coordinator changed about 4 months before our wedding and, although we were stressed, we were fortunate because Michael was awesome to work with. He did exactly what we envisioned and made it a picture perfect night. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience or wedding reception!

The Doubletree in Monroeville was amazing to work with. They were flexible for our many guests, and provided not only hotel information, but assisted with finding a shuttle to go to the reception, as well as local information for our guests. They were so helpful with organizing the gift bags for our guests. Our honeymoon suite accommodations were incredible, clean, and were way above expectations. We would definitely go back!

Kimmie (Catering Director) managed my beautiful ceremony and reception décor. It exceeded every expectation I could possibly have. I always thought the Doubletree team did beautiful work based on the pictures I saw but to see everything in person was just amazing. I received a ton of compliments. My guests and I are still in awe of the work they did. I really loved the added gold overlays (recommended by Kimmie) put on tables was fantastic. I know it was designed with my taste in mind but that was the prettiest one I have ever seen. And the food was awesome too!! My sister (MOH) had seconds!! So, thank you so much again, Kimmie (and Doubletree). You really were able to create what I had envisioned all along. I am so glad I got the chance to work with you. I do have a friend or two getting married this year, so I'm definitely telling them to go see you!! =)

We had our reception at the Double Tree in Monroeville and it was everything I could have asked for! Kimmie listened to everything I asked for and it was perfect. The wait staff was extremely friendly also. I always knew who to go to if there was an issue and if I could not find them, anyone was willing to help! Our wedding was perfect and I would recommend the Double Tree to anyone!

I was truly blessed by my experience with the Doubletree Hotel in Monroeville as I was planning my wedding from out of town. The overall cost was reasonable, and it was a great location for the local family and those driving into town. Kimmie Fitzhugh-Kelly was very attentive to all of my requests and questions even up to a couple of days before the wedding. The ballroom was set up beautifully for the reception. All the things that I had requested were done well or even better than I had expected.\r\rThere were some mix ups with some of the guest rooms, but they were resolved.\r\rOverall, I would recommend the Doubletree.

Overall, the reception went smoothly and the room was decorated nicely on their end with the uplighting. Kimmie is wonderful to work with and very accommodating to what we wanted. I recommend working with her hands down. BUT--there were a few bumps in the road especially in the planning part. First off, be sure to block more than enough rooms very early. We booked the venue 1 1/2 years before our wedding date and were informed that we would start with a block of 20 and that more could be added closer to the date. Well with about 4 months to go, I called to check on the rooms only to find out the hotel had sold out the night of the wedding. We were crushed. Our #1 priority was that our guests could stay over night if they wanted. They didn't seem to think it was a big deal because we 20 rooms. No one seemed to get that the reason we booked there was because of the fact it was a hotel. Now with 4 months to go the only people who had rooms were immediate family and bridal party members. They \"found\" 10 more rooms for us and we had our guests \"bunk up\" so it worked out ok. But it was a huge headache. Also--minor detail, the layout of tables and numbers were not the same from what I used to number my tables. So my grandma ended up in a corner and friends were seperated and two people who were divorced and supposed to have a table between them ended up back to back. Not the end of the world but not as planned either. Just had to explain to grandma she was supposed to have a better seat!

We held our reception at the Monroeville Doubletree, and I really enjoyed working with the folks there. Our contact there, Kimmie Fitzhugh-Kelly, was extremely pleasant, helpful and communicative over the course of our wedding planning process. She really did everything that she could to help us achieve our vision for the wedding, which included a lot of DIY decorative details which she and her staff were happy to set up for us to our specifications. Although I didn’t have much of an appetite at the reception, our guests definitely enjoyed the food. I will say that I think the food at our tasting was better than what was served at the reception – but we were REALLY impressed with the tasting, so that’s merely a question of the degree of satisfaction. We would definitely recommend them for service, competence, and generally being pleasant and enthusiastic people to work with.
