We had our wedding 10/13/23, the weather was horrible but Gretchen still made it the most wonderful wedding ceremony and reception! She moved our ceremony inside instead of outside and still made it look amazing. the decor/ room set up for our reception was perfect and very spacious for our 125+ guests to walk around and have our dance floor. The food was fantastic, we have the garlic chicken and herb I HIGHLY recommend!! And the service during our reception was perfect. Everyone was very kind and worked really hard and fast to make us happy. It was the most perfect night and we were sad it went to fast and had to end!!!! Reviewed on 18-10-2023

Bobbie Ekman(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-10-2020 My son held his rehearsal dinner and wedding reception here at the Doubletree this past weekend. Due to Covid we decided to have a smaller gathering this year and dance and dinner here again next year. I cannot say enough about this fabulous venue. I worked with Matt to get all the details for our rehearsal dinner that we would hold at Axel’s. Matt was quick to respond, friendly, accommodating and willing to help any way he could. The entire Axel’s staff was incredible, Timothy, the Food and Beverage manager was incredible; our servers, Kathy and Yvonnne were attentive, friendly and efficient. Our food was outstanding! (Walleye, steaks, butternut squash ravioli to name a few). Our private room was cozy, neat, clean and beautifully appointed. The following day we held our “hybrid “ reception and the banquet manager, Jo, was THE BEST!! I can not say enough about this woman. She is professional, thoughtful, kind and so helpful. The amount of work she put in to help make our wedding reception just perfect was unbelievable. She deserves a raise!!! We look forward to our full-size reception next year. I can not recommend this venue enough. From the front desk personnel, to the catering sales team, to the restaurant manager & servers, to the banquet manager, it was top notch!! Rooms are excellent too!! Well done Doubletree!!! Reviewed on 26-10-2020
Todd Harper(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-09-2019 I planned a wedding reception at the DoubleTree about a month ago. We worked with Kim and Wendy throughout the planning process and they were both incredibly pleasant, quick to respond to questions, and eager to help in whatever ways they could. On the day of the wedding, from the time I arrived in the morning to drop off a few things and all the way through the event, the DoubleTree staff from the front desk to the back kitchen were incredibly helpful and ready to assist with the wedding (despite being a busy day for the hotel since it was the day before the first Vikings game of the season). The father of the bride decided to keep the bar open for an hour longer than planned, we decided to have our late night pizza half an hour earlier, and made several other minor changes throughout the evening. The staff was always happy to accommodate these changes and find creative solutions to any problems we encountered.Thank you DoubleTree! Reviewed on 02-10-2019
Jakesa Johnson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-09-2018 I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. As a bride, the staff here made sure myself and my guests were well taken care of on my wedding day, everyone was above and beyond exceptional. This venue has options for everyone with an indoor and beautiful courtyard outdoor option, and other in-house vendors in case you need help finding some. I had the pleasure of working with Gretchen who was more than accommodating and available when I needed her. She even came in on Saturday morning to ensure things went as planned. The morning of the weather wasn't cooperating so we moved the ceremony inside. I can only imagine how stressful that may have been for the staff but they kept a smile on their faces and helped create the best day of my life. I got so many compliments after the event about how respectful the staff was and how beautiful things turned out. If I could have another wedding, I would have it here without hesitation. This venue has a variety of decor options and incredible, I mean AMAZING perks/freebies if you have your wedding during an off-peak time (Nov-Apr). The food was delicious too catered through Axel's. They also offer a tasting annually with appetizers, dinner options, linen and vendors as well (which is free!) The pricing is very affordable and there is plenty of space! I'll definitely be recommending this venue to other brides I encounter. Also for out of towners, there's plenty of entertainment nearby and a lovely park 3 minutes away for photos! Our guests enjoyed the dinner and the service of the wait staff was excellent. Delicious food, well presented. Everyone there is SO friendly and helpful. The room is spacious, clean, and a beautiful setting for a wedding reception. One surprise feature: They have a small outdoor courtyard off of the bar area that our guests could enjoy. They were incredibly organized, and were super helpful! We had several special requests (groom is allergic to alcohol, kids with peanut allergies, etc) and they made sure everything was perfect! Shoutout to Gerry who was the catering manager onsite for us, he was great! We had 165 people, and the venue was a great size for us (8 person rounds). Super affordable for us too, with no room fees and a $6500 minimum. With 165 people we hit just under the minimum. Thanks Radisson Hotel! Reviewed on 22-08-2018
Cyndi Kesler(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-05-2018 After much research and analysis into the data - we decided to book the Radisson Hotel Minneapolis/St Paul North. And when I say analysis... yep... there was a spreadsheet with each amenity broken down so I could put venue's side by side and compare cost with what we got. For the size of our wedding - 300 invited, 170 attended - it was the not only the best value, but a great choice overall. I am very happy with the way the day ended up in all ways.We went with the Platinum package which included hosted bar for an hour and appetizers, the dinner, the cake, the DJ, the flowers on the tables, chair covers, use of the hotel shuttle, a champagne pour, and more. You may think, 'Oh, that is included in a package, so I will have little choice.' WRONG! We had a full meal tasting with Axels (amaze-balls food!), a full cake tasting with the bakery with full options on decorations (cake was so yummy, and I got a lot of comments!), flower consultation which included what would go on the tables (beautiful) and if I wanted them to do my bouquets what they would look like (again, beautiful! I did choose to use them as well), consultations with the DJ / DJ company who were very gracious in answering my hundreds of questions (super fun!). All in all I had complete creative license with each of the vendors, but it was all included in the price of the package (which is done per plate). So, why the package, you may ask. While I got to talk to each vendor and make my individual choices, I didn't have to worry about paying each one, coordinating with each one, or anything like that on the day of. The event staff did it all! We could enjoy our day without the worry of getting everything where it needed to be. We had an amazing Event Captain that ran the event and when I had a question or a need, he was right there to help.I cannot say enough about the event coordinator that I worked with. She answered my many questions with the patience of a saint. When I asked for something, she came back quickly with a response. The communication was GREAT - and I am picky about that!We utilized the room block with the hotel as well. It was a good rate and was nice knowing that people could drink and not have to drive to where they were spending the night if they were from out of town (even had a few from in town choose to stay). The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating when there were any issues or questions. What else might you want to know? After talking to many of the people who came to the wedding, I have gotten nothing but rave reviews for the evening. Everyone had fun, loved the food, music, and fellowship (that last one is on you! hehe.)The only constructive criticism that I have is that many people were unsure where the bar and appetizers were being served. The doors were shut and there was no signage. I have to go on my attendees comments to me because I was not there during that portion of the night. (full disclosure) Overall, a fantastic night and I would definitely choose to do another event with the Radisson Hotel Minneapolis/St. Paul North!! Hope this helps you and good luck in your own research and decision! Congratulations! Reviewed on 14-06-2018
Erica Larson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-09-2017 My husband and I got married here this past September and we were beyond impressed! We chose the Radisson for two main reasons: Chris was extremely helpful and made our reception exactly how we wanted it to be, and we loved the platinum package that included all the vendors. We didn't want to search all over for each different vendor so this was great because the Radisson already has a great relationship with different vendors, including the DJ service, cake vendors, flower vendor, ect... We can honestly say that we were not stressed planning our wedding because of the unbelievable support from Chris and the Radisson. Everything went smoothly and it was a perfect day! From the initial tour, to the detail planning meeting 2 months in advance, to the final details, the staff was extremely helpful during the planning. The day off staff was just as helpful whether they were accommodating a miscellaneous request, helping trouble shoot to get the slideshow to play, or just managing the overall operations. I loved how the ballroom felt open/was one large room and worked well to host a medium-large group (but if your group is smaller, sections can also be closed off so the space doesn’t feel too big). We dressed the courtyard up more with some flowers and the venue did not mind at all! Gerry made sure every detail was taken care of the night of the reception and he addressed every question that I had. Thank you so much Gerry! We loved working with you!! I can’t say enough about the positive experience that we had with each staff member at the Radisson. The staff was professional, warm, and attentive to every single one of our needs. They were very accommodating to special food requests and even helped our families take down the flowers and help bring them to our room. The bartenders were fantastic along with the servers. I wish we could do it all over again because it was the most amazing evening. We had roughly 210 guests and the room accommodated it nicely and you never felt cramped. They offered a great deal on rooms for the night and many of our guests stayed at the hotel that night if not a night or two extra. I would highly recommend the Radisson to any bride looking for a reception site that is not overly expensive however looks exquisite. Heather Buol(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-08-2015 We used the Radisson for our reception venue and could not have asked for better service and people to work with. Our wedding coordinator Gretchen was amazing she handled everything and made sure that all the details were worked out, and if not, then she took care of it right away. She was very responsive when I emailed her asking her a million questions and she was very experienced when it comes to planning weddings. We did the gold package with the Radisson which I would definitely recommend because it includes the DJ, cake, happy hour, and beautiful decorations which the Radisson staff takes care of. Gretchen worked with the cake company and the DJ company to get everything set up so that was just less I had to coordinate which was nice and less stressful. The decorations were beautiful, the food was amazing and we got all great reviews from our guests, and the service and hotel rooms were more than accommodating for us and all of our guests. They reserved us plenty of rooms for our guests to book ahead of time and at a discounted rate and we were very appreciative of all their work. I would highly recommend using the Radisson for your upcoming wedding and ask for Gretchen because she is awesome! Reviewed on 21-08-2015

From menu planning, our tasting, suggestions for keeping costs down but still having a tasteful event -- she was extremely helpful. When we moved the reception up from July to March and she helped us pull it off with ease. \r\rWe went with their Gold Package on a Friday night and that was a great value. My daughter's wedding was December 20th, 2014 at the Radisson Hotel Roseville. If you want a totally worry-free wedding, I suggest you have it at the Radisson Roseville. It was way beyond my expectations. The room was gorgeous. The food was delicious. Nancy, the banquet manager, made all the planning so easy. She really listened to us. The banquet staff were so accommodating and helpful. Mafi, the bartender, knew my Mom had passed away 10 days before the wedding. He went out of his way to do whatever he could to make the night perfect. Check out the Radisson Roseville. You will not be disappointed. It will be a perfect event. Reviewed on 31-12-2014
Katie Larson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-10-2014 The Radisson Roseville was the perfect wedding venue! I did a lot of research and my husband and I visited a good amount of other venues before we finally found the Radisson. When it came to the price, the look and all around atmosphere it's the total package. I worked closely with Nancy, she was extremely helpful and very hands on. I had started planning my wedding a year before the date, so I had a good amount of time to work on everything but Nancy made it even easier. The Radisson had some amazing partnerships with other vendors. We were able to get a great deal on our catering with Axle's restaurant (which is in the hotel), Buttercream cakes, Dj and photo booth through Complete and they also had a wonderful decorating package. From start to finish the entire staff was amazing. I highly recommend the Radisson in Roseville for a wedding ceremony and reception! Reviewed on 19-12-2014
Missy Kappes(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-10-2014 My husband and I chose The Radisson of Roseville based on the fact that they had over 250 rooms to accommodate our guests. We were told that there would be no problem being able to reserve enough rooms for our wedding guests. However, over 6 months before our wedding occurred, we were being told that there were no more rooms available for our guests. They had two other wedding parties who also blocked rooms at their hotel. We hadn't even sent out invites yet at this point! Unfortunately, having your wedding reception at this hotel does not guarantee that you will get any priority when it comes to booking rooms. It is very disheartening when you are spending the kind of money we spent and find out that you are not important. We had a total of 35 rooms, if that. I would have to say that the quality of the venue was fantastic and the wedding reception went perfectly without any major hiccups. It was the unneeded stress in the planning process that was frustrating and the lack of cooperation and consideration that was extremely disappointing. Reviewed on 07-11-2014

My wedding was this past weekend and it was AMAZING! We selected a Friday package because the food and beverage minimum was less and so many other things were included. For example, we received complimentary sodas for the whole night, late night pizzas at our ceremony, and a complimentary continental breakfast for gift opening the next day. Our dinner we chose was sirloin steak and chicken with potatoes and a veggie which everyone loved. I had compliments all night. The pizzas were okay, but to my guests that were there that late they didn't stay out long enough. Nancy, one of the wedding consultants there was excellent. She's very personable and organized. We also used the Radisson for our rehearsal dinner and chose the Mexican Buffet that my whole wedding party and family loved. So happy with the Radisson and I hope other future brides consider this venue! Reviewed on 23-09-2014

Stephanie Gonia(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-09-2013 Susan was my go-to gal who helped me with everything and she was extremely responsive and answered all emails within a day or two and was willing to meet whenever I wanted, she was great! The only thing I felt like she should have explained better was more about laying out the tables and where they should be placed in the room, according to how many tables you have. We ended up having way too many tables near the \"front\" of the room, and not many back by the dance floor. It all worked out though! Also, we never received the promised complimentary champagne in our bridal suite, or the complimentary breakfast for the bride and groom the morning after the wedding. I expressed these to the hotel, and they did issue us a gift card to Axels to make up for it, so that was nice. I did have a friend who was also our florist help set up the room earlier in the day and she said that she really needed to take over in setting up because the staff didn't seem to know what they were doing, so I would suggest that to future brides, have a trusted friend or family member go and check on the room beforehand! With all that being said, my day was just about perfect and our reception went beautifully, the food was good, the staff was quick and courteous, and I would recommend this place! The catering and event staff was wonderful and we had no issues with them. The hotel staff was where the issues laid. The people at the front desk were rude to some of our guests, and they also double booked one of the rooms, so some of our guests walked into a hotel room already occupied by some of our other guests. Jessica Daum(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-06-2010 Our wedding reception at the Radisson in Roseville, MN was beautiful, memorable, super fun, and worry-free. The hotel offered a great package option for our celebration, and we didn't have to spend any time wondering if our vendors (dj, cake, catering) would show up or be prepared. The food was amazing! We heard so many great comments from our guests about our buffet, especially the walleye, Minnesota stuffed chicken, and garlic mashed potatoes. The dj that was lined up through the Radisson (Complete Music) was professional and ran the event flawlessly. As a bride with minor control issues, I was so surprised at how I was able to sit back and enjoy the evening. The Radisson event coordinators that we worked with were attentive, professional, and detail oriented. They made me feel at ease from the initial tour, through our tasting, and up to the night of our event. They were flexible with our requests and changes, and even set up our centerpieces and favors. The accommodations are nice, and the hotel has recently been through renovations. It was also a great bonus to be the only event held at their hotel, since they are smaller than some venues that host multiple weddings on site. It was a perfect balance of luxury at a reasonable price for us. My husband and I really can't say enough about our Radisson wedding reception. It was all that we had hoped for!
