Located in Herrin, Illinois, We welcome you to Dragonfly, Southern Illinois' dreamiest wedding venue. It sits on 36 gorgeous acres that you have all to yourself on your Big Day! It features a 1-acre​ pond, a 3-bedroom bridal house, a large wedding barn, an outdoor patio, a covered pavilion with a stone fireplace​, and wonderland woods! Since our gates opened in 2017, we've evolved by adding new surprises, having a venue coordinator on staff, and being the beginning of Happily Ever After for gorgeous couples like you! I genuinely don't know where to start with saying how much we loved being Dragonfly brides! When my wife and I were looking at options for our wedding, there really wasn't a question of what venue we loved the most. Every picture made it look magical, and then we toured and we really felt it. A big part of the magic of Dragonfly (aside from the beautiful setting in nature) is having Ana there through the whole process. Ana really helped us when we were unsure of logistics and tradition. She had an answer for every question, and she made it very clear that problem-solving is an inevitable part of her job that she enjoys doing. We knew we were in *very* safe hands working with Dragonfly and with Ana. The woods make planning a fairytale wedding so effortless. Every picture and video taken of our ceremony was stunning because we had such a lush backdrop behind us. It made everything feel magic!Having the venue for our rehearsal dinner and guest welcome was such a lovely way to invite people into our weekend in a warm and friendly manner. We also felt so comfortable being in the bridal cottage with our bridal parties! At the end of the night, having the cottage to share a final toast and chat with our loved ones was perfect. It was such a relief to not have to drive home at the end of a very long day/night. We genuinely couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Dragonfly helped give me and my husband the wedding of all of our fairytale dreams. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the team at Dragonfly are incredibly accommodating and professional at what they do. Our wedding day ran so smoothly that I didn’t have any worries on the day of thanks to Ana and her assistant, Amanda. Thank you SO much for helping our dreams come true, if we could do it all over again we would still choose the Dragonfly 🩷

Dragonfly is absolutely stunning. You have four options on where to get married, each more beautiful than the next. The foliage was absolutely perfect for our fall wedding. The owners, Joe and Dana, and their amazing wedding coordinator, Ana, are constantly updating the space, making it the best place in Southern Illinois for your wedding. Ana was always there to answer any questions, help with moving tables, being the go-between, calming the bride (ha!), and making our big day run smoothly. The best part about when your wedding reception is over? Simply walk over to your cabin and spend the night in the bridal suite. No travel needed! Perfect! I can't imagine having our perfect day anywhere else. Thank you, Dragonfly!

The venue is beautiful and exactly what we had hoped for. It is set in the woods and has a warm, relaxed, and welcoming feel to the whole place. We were able to have the rehearsal on site the night before, the ceremony in the woods, and the reception both on the patio and in the pole barn. The fireplace at the head table was the centerpiece! The venue also includes stay at the on-site house, which made setup and breakdown very easy. We had the whole place to ourselves for 3 days. Ana, the manager is great to work with and assists with all your needs.

Where do I even start? This place was MAGIC. Pure magic. Ana, the coordinator, is the nicest and most helpful person ever! She truly was there to answer any questions me (or my family) had. She let us come out and visit the venue so many times just to get decorating measurements and scope things out. On the wedding day, I am pretty sure every single guest I talked to complimented the venue and everyone had pictures on their social media of them on the swing!!!! On our day, mother nature had a much different plan than we did. It was a full on tsunami right before our ceromony and right after and Ana made sure to help keep things together during the chaos of post ceromony downpour! I could not have dreamed for a more perfect day and my dream could not have come true if it were not for Ana and this venue! Now they have even more amazing photo spots since our wedding so definitely book fast, I promise you won't regret it ❤

Not only is the property absolutely beautiful, but there are options to accommodate any weather without sacrificing on appearance. Having the venue all to ourselves for the entire weekend made everything run so smoothly I was left with nothing to worry about. I highly recommend booking Dragonfly, it’s versatile, gorgeous, and many guests told us that our wedding was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding! The venue was also completely COVID compliant and made many helpful suggestions to keep my friends and family safe!

I absolutely loved having my wedding here! Dana and Ana are SO amazing! They made sure everything was set up exactly how I wanted everything and that I was happy with it all. Dragonfly is a hidden gem in Southern Illinois! Our guests were transported from a small town to a wooded wonderland. The ceremony was beautiful in the pavilion in front of the gorgeous stone fireplace. It was a cozy and intimate setting. The cottage was great for getting ready and relaxing before the big event. Everyone had a great time! The owners and staff were easy to work with and helped make our little girl's big day a dream come true!
