Drusilla's was awesome for my daughter's wedding reception. Everything was perfect. My daughter called most of the 'wedding reception' halls in town and got quotes for a wedding reception and visited them. I was 'hosting' the reception and wanted it to be somewhere that reflected well on me and wife and accommodated our needs. My daughter called a number of 'wedding facilities' and got information from them and she and my wife visited with them. I found out on this website that Drusilla's also did wedding receptions. I had been to a number of work related events at Drusilla, so I insisted they check it out. My daughter and wife agreed to consider it and made an appointment with Brad Zito. SO HAPPY they did. It was a 'no-brainer'. The price is better; the food is better; the owners/manager are better to deal with (honest, direct, friendly, trustworthy and straightforward). The facility can be arranged to accommodate the size of the reception and they provide a number of reasonable options on food, drink, alcohol and set up, with pricing information. My wife and daughter were extremely please and everyone had the time of their life.Working with the Zito's at Drusilla was stress free. I knew they would make the reception great. Found out early what the options were, what the price was, and they were flexible on size estimates. Used their projector for a slide show; they worked with us on set up considering size of band, location of food, size of dance area; arrangement of tables, etc. Could not have been easier and less stressful.At the reception, we had two bars, two food stations; lots of tables for eating; lots of space for large band and dancing; quite space for talking; great suggestions. We had over 225 guests everyone had ability to sit and eat and talk and lots of room to dance. The food was fantastic. In fact, the staff made sure we got all the left over food, which we really enjoyed with family the next day as well. Nothing but compliments from guests about food, service and facility.My wife and daughter were very pleased with the hall and had a great stress free time at reception. I was thrilled that I got to deal with the people I liked the most, trusted the most and saved money all at the same time. We had a great time at the reception and I would not dream of using any other facility for a wedding reception or large party.DO NOT BOOK A FACILITY without checking with them first, you will be making a huge mistake.

We could not dream of ever choosing another place for our daughter’s reception. The food at Drusilla was absolutely wonderful and 4 months later our guests are still raving about it . Brad was incredibly responsive and helpful as we selected our menu as there are many options to choose from. The prices were very affordable and better than other venues we had looked at . On the day of the event the service and staff were truly exceptional. Brad made sure everything looked perfect and was a pleasure to work with, he checked in with us to make sure everything looked as we had envisioned .He truly wanted our daughter’s wedding to be perfect , and it was! I have and will continue to recommend Drusilla’s services to anyone planning a reception .It was a magical day!

When we made the decision to use Drusilla Place Catering we chose this venue for a number of reasons- Location, the size and beauty of the facility and mostly we were told that the food was fantastic. When we met at Drusilla they showed us photos of their presentation of the food and the room layout, and it was gorgeous and the look we were after — The complete experience with the help of Brad from the beginning to end was a pleasure. Drusilla did a beautiful job they we so very willing and helpful on all our decisions and very professional.We were ecstatic when we walked in it was everything we hoped it would look like - spacious and elegant. During the three (3) hours the food was outstanding and plentiful. Fruit and cheese cascading down on the table. We had a carving station, pasta station paired with a variety of cold and hot hors d’oeuvres. The food was a tremendous success, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Again, thank you Drusilla for everything you did for us. You will be called on to do more weddings in our family — We are truly grateful for a wonderful wedding reception- Thank you also to Chef Sonny!

Drusilla Place Catering is a beautiful venue for a wedding reception! The decor, lighting, and room layout are perfect for an afternoon OR an evening reception. All of the details from the beautiful fireplace, fixtures, linens, etc. are simply breathtaking. Not to mention that the presentation of the food is absolutely amazing! Brad and the rest of his staff know exactly how to lay everything out so that it not only looks beautiful, but the flow for your guests is flawless. We had a very large wedding and the food tables, dance floor, and bar access was not ever crowded or uncomfortable. Not only was the presentation and layout wonderful, every single menu item was absolutely delicious. All of our guests raved over the food! Our florist, cake designer, and band were so pleased with how helpful everyone was throughout our planning. And the day of, we had not one issue pop up. We walked into a breaktaking wedding reception ready to feed and entertain nearly 350 people! This venue is truly amazing!

There is really no where better to celebrate your special day. My wedding was perfect, and it's a huge thanks to Drusilla. We had a large band, and there was no trouble with them fitting their equipment and still plenty of room to dance. We had about 250 guests, and there was plenty of room to fit everyone comfortably. Most importantly, the food; a year later and random people still comment on how fantastic the food was, and how it was the best they've ever had at a reception. Brad is easy to work, and super helpful in helping you get what you want on your special day, for a reasonable cost! With all the stress that goes into a wedding, don't let the worry of being ripped off be one of them! The only regret I have is that it's over :((((

My wedding reception was beyond perfection! I considered several venues. A good friend mentioned that Drusilla had recently updated their catering facility and that is was beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised after I met with Brad at Drusilla and compared pricing with the other venues. Drusilla’s pricing was significantly less allowing us to not only have an incredibly menu, we were also able to choose a premium bar package. The staff was very accommodating and always available to answer any questions. My florist, band and photographer also commented on how easy they were to work with. We had close to 200 guests and had adequate room and seating. The food tables were absolutely gorgeous. Everyone raved about the food. I hadn’t been to an event at Drusilla in several years and have to say that my friend was right..... the catering rooms are updated and beautiful. If you are looking for a beautiful place to have your wedding with great food, exceptional service and fair pricing (that looks like you spent a lot more;)...... Drusilla is my pick.

Having our reception at Drusilla made our wedding day PERFECT! The staff made everything so easy from the beginning all the way to our wedding day. Brad is easy to work with and very helpful. All of the staff at the reception were attentive and very friendly. The ballrooms were spacious enough for all of our guests. We had a large band (7 people) and they had enough room to fit all of their instruments as well as a large dance floor. I can not say enough good things about the food - it was INCREDIBLE! I would recommend this venue to anyone!

Having our reception at Drusilla made our wedding day PERFECT! The staff made everything so easy from the beginning all the way to our wedding day. Brad is easy to work with and very helpful. All of the staff at the reception were attentive and very friendly. The ballrooms were spacious enough for all of our guests. We had a large band (7 people) and they had enough room to fit all of their instruments as well as a large dance floor. I can not say enough good things about the food - it was INCREDIBLE! I would recommend this venue to anyone!

I had never heard of anyone having a wedding reception at drusilla (didn't know the ballrooms existed) but the room is beautiful. I had been to a dozen rehearsal dinners and events at Drusilla during my 26 years on Earth, who hasn't?? But not until I went with my *then boyfriend* to chaperon a prom, did I know about the big, beautiful ballroom and banquet hall Drusilla had to host events. After we were engaged and I got prices sheets & met with people from EVERY reception venue in BR, I went to meet with Brad Zito at Drusilla. Within 10 minutes, I knew without a doubt that this was 100% the place we wanted our reception. We even had the option of holding our reception at the City Club but chose not to. I couldn't possibly begin to say enough positive things about the service that we received. From going along with all of the little details that I mulled over, cooperating with my other vendors (florist, dj, photobooth, decorators, etc), helping me pick the menu, letting me come see a reception all set up an hour or so before it started so I could get a true feeling for the venue... Brad was incredible!!! \r\rTHE EVENT\rWe had right around 180 guests attend and with both of the rooms opened up with the huge pocket doors there was PLENTY of space for people to be comfortable, tons of room to dance... the food was GREAT, the drinks were strong (if you've ever been to a wedding at white oak or lake house or any of those type places you know the drinks tend to be pretty watered down), the facility was gorgeous... The staff that were there during the reception were great, making sure there wasn't anything in the world that we needed - were attentive to my guests, smiling the whole time and just so pleasant! They have a great crew there and we just couldn't possibly have asked for anything better, I cannot say that enough! \r\rMONEY!\rDrusilla does not charge a gratuity - most of your other venues with charge you:\r(food pp + bar PP) x Tax = total... then T x 1.20 = real total... minimum 20% gratuity is added on to all of their final prices... \rDrusilla does not pay their staff on a tip basis, but rather on a set wage when they work events, therefore drusilla does not charge the gratuity on top of your total... we paid for PREMIUM BAR (jack, crown, absolut, bombay, cuervo gold) and chose from the basic food tier (jambalaya, crab balls, sandwiches, catfish filets, cold shrimp dip, fruit, best cheese layout ever, etc) which all together, with tax, our reception cost around $8,800... anywhere else (the food wouldn't have been nearly as good) and it would have cost us nearly 10,600.\r\rSERIOUSLY... \rIf you're looking for a place that is beautiful, tried & true in baton rouge and the most helpful staff ever - go meet with Brad! You won't be disappointed!
