Eagle Mountain House Reviews
Emily Noonan(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-09-2022 Our wedding at Eagle Mountain House was absolutely perfect. The whole weekend was perfect from the rehearsal dinner, the breakfasts, the wedding, the bar and all of our guests stays. We had about 170 people at our wedding and everyone has reached out to us on how much they loved it and that is truly all thanks to Linda and her team. After meeting Linda for the first time I could tell she knew exactly what she was doing. Throughout the whole process she was communicative and answered any question I had, even the silly ones. On the day of the wedding, I knew that Linda and Stefania had it all handled and I was able to just enjoy getting ready and the whole day. Everything was absolutely perfect. All of our guests (and us) had the best weekend. The staff at eagle mountain house is the best and everyone was so friendly and helpful. We were a big group and the night of the rehearsal dinner and after the wedding the bar and bartender were amazing! I can’t say enough good things about Eagle Mountain house and wish we could do it all over again. Would highly recommend to everyone! Reviewed on 01-01-2023
Christina Basiner(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-09-2022 Dreams do come true, and they happen at Eagle Mountain. Eagle Mountain Hotel did not only deliver what we’d hoped for, they went above and beyond it. The charm that saturates the building is something only 140+ years of care and service can bestow. Recognized as a Historic Hotel of America, the hotel has stayed true to it’s original feel and aesthetic while modernizing the amenities. The overall ambience from the rooms, to the lobby and restaurant was palpable when we first dropped in. Little did we know just how much it grows as the leaves bud and rocking chairs hit the front porch! Our goal was to find an outdoor venue that we felt our family and friends would enjoy visiting for a weekend away regardless of our actual wedding. Of all the places we visited, Eagle was by far the best. Nestled in Carter Notch of the White Mountains, one could happily relax the day away on the hotel grounds admiring the views and hotel amenities. However for more activity, the golf course is just across the street and the vast network of hiking trails are directly out the backdoor and down the road. Floating down the Saco River or shopping and dining in North Conway, the area offers something for everyone and Eagle is perfectly positioned for all of it. We have spent years travelling to and through North Conway, but you don’t need any practice to untap the endless possibilities all around. The rockstar of the organization and captain of our main event was none other than Linda Boyer. If we saw Eagle as a possibility just based on ambience, it only took a few minutes speaking to Linda for that possibility to seem much more realistic. Calm, cool and collected, my husband and I both knew instantly that Linda was the person we wanted on our dream team. Her time and experience with the hotel were abundantly clear, she rattled off her favorite vendors to work with and why without batting an eye and we believed her when she assured us our vision could be delivered. Her confidence is inspiring and her capacity to multitask and keep open lines of communication from start to finish were legendary. She secured a vendor we could not get a response from at the first ask, and we had even travelled to the business to speak to someone in person! On a weekend with as many moving parts as a wedding, you need an ace to call the shots and Linda is that ace! We had our ceremony on the landing above the gold course, cocktail hour on the veranda and reception in the big tent and it fit our needs perfectly. The drink selection was proper and every bit of food we tried and ultimately chose was delicious. I never thought people would be raving about dinner long afterwards, but 2 weeks later and I still hear stellar reviews. The short rib is one of the best I have ever had, period.Everything went off without a hitch, and it could not have been so without Linda and her team. If the timing was thrown off for one thing, it was adjusted for moving onto the next so seamlessly one might have thought it was purposefully intended that way. Always available for support, advice or a glass of champagne, Linda and Stefania both were all-stars and we are forever in their debt for the memories they helped us create. Since the wedding I have tried to imagine what it would have been like at any other venue and I can’t do it. There is nothing we would change about our entire weekend and we can’t wait to go back to celebrate our anniversary at EMH! Reviewed on 24-10-2022
Carolyn Govoni(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-06-2022 Eagle Mountain House was the perfect hotel and reception venue for our wedding! The bride grew up in and around the White Mountains area so the stunning views were close to home. There were many nearby activities for our guests who stayed the whole weekend, so we never had to worry about entertaining them. Linda Boyer was a dream to plan and work with from day one. She's the kind of person who will jump behind the bar, run food, or do absolutely anything to make sure the event goes perfectly. During the planning process and the big day, she and her team (chefs, bartenders, front desk, etc) made every step along the way seamless. She suggested great vendors for us, coordinated with them before and on the wedding day, and was a source of happiness during the reception. The staff here was a huge reason as to why our day was stress free, they ensured our day went off without a hitch. We couldn't recommend this place more for anyone who wants a wedding where the couple can enjoy their day and all the guests have nothing but amazing reviews and memories. We'll be coming back to visit for many anniversaries to come! Reviewed on 05-08-2022
Haley Marie Holt(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-09-2021 Eagle Mountain House was such an important piece to my husband and I’s big day. I grew up vacationing in Jackson while my husbands family lives in Jackson so when we considered venues, it was top of the list. We booked the venue pre-covid and after postponing we were so happy we waited. The charm that it offers are bar none. It’s quiet, personal and absolutely stunning backdrop made for the perfect day. Despite the venue being short on staff- like most places are right now, every one of our guests was so pleased with the food and location. We had a few hiccups when it came to rooms booked in our room block and check in but Linda made sure to clear up anything that was thrown our way. I hired an additional wedding coordinator to have extra hands on deck as I too work in the wedding industry and this was my busiest season to date. Between Linda and my own coordinator things came together exactly how we wanted them to. Anything that came up along the way was handled just as it should have been and it made it so I didn’t have to personally deal with much of anything. Overall a beautiful venue with absolutely hands down the best food! During dinner at our reception a family member suffered a seizure (thankfully she is okay) and all of the staff handled the medical emergency flawlessly. We are very thankful and cannot say enough how perfect this day was for us. Thank you Eagle Mountain House. Reviewed on 16-11-2021

She and Stefania were so receptive to our needs and everything went so smoothly on the day of our wedding thanks to them. Linda has a great calm energy that helped keep me relaxed and not worried when I felt \"behind\" on my timeline. The food at the rehearsal dinner & wedding was incredible! The surf & turf was a huge hit and everyone loved their meals. Chef Ryan is incredibly talented and many of our guests felt it was one of the best meals they'd had at a wedding. We especially loved our BBQ rehearsal dinner.Eagle Mountain House was the perfect location for us and our guests with the idea that everyone parks their cars for the weekend and doesn't have to worry about going anywhere or driving after a good party. We had so much fun in the game room after the wedding; it was a pleasant add on to the weekend where we could continue our fun without disturbing other guests. We cannot recommend EMH enough! Emma Halstrom(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-07-2021 Eagle Mountain House (EMH) will be the best first decision you make in planning your wedding. If you are planning a wedding in the White Mountains, EMH is in my opinion, the premier venue in Jackson. My family has been vacationing in the White Mountains for 20+ years, and having our wedding at EMH felt like having it at home, and that is in no small part thanks Linda and her team. Linda goes above and beyond to make sure your day is everything you could hope for. She is responsive, creative and is at the top of her profession. Linda genuinely cares and will be with you from the moment you do a site visit, to the entire day of your wedding and being there to send you off. I already miss working with her. The venue itself is stunning, from the ceremony site that overlooks the river and mountains, to the veranda to the tent. Linda suggested an after party bonfire, which if you have the right group, is the perfect end to the evening. Even though it’s a busy hotel, you feel a sense of intimacy and privacy during the entire day. EMH is a quintessential New England mountain hotel that has been lovingly cared for exudes charm and warmth. I don’t know how Chef Ryan and her team managed to produce so many perfectly cooked filets at the same time, but it’s a marvel. We had several vegans in our family and Chef Ryan created a stunning dish for them in addition to the other plated meals. My new father in law commented that the short ribs “could have been at any 4 start restaurant in the world.” I still want her to bottle and sell her sauces and dressings, I have not given up hope and will be first in line if she ever does! If you want a fun, romantic mountain wedding, EMH is for you. Thank you Linda and team for making our rather electrifying wedding so wonderful. Reviewed on 03-08-2021

Stacey Dick(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-04-2019 I can't say enough good things about Linda and Stefania and the Eagle Mountain House. If you're looking for a venue with all services on site, with folks who really care about making your day as special as can be and will go above and beyond to see that that happens, with fantastic out door views - this is a perfect location! When looking in the summer of 2018, my husband and I really wanted a location where we could have an outdoor ceremony. We fell in love with the Eagle Mountain House, and were really impressed that they had multiple back-ups options for ceremony location in the event of unpredictable weather. They really are very experienced at this and had lots of great recommendations to help us in the planning process. \tWe had our rehearsal dinner on site, and it was fantastic! Linda did a great job with decorating and creating a fun Tex Mex theme, and then people were able to gather in the bar and use the playroom for some games of pool so we didn't feel like it was just dinner then leave. We were able to make a NH destination wedding out of it Friday through Sunday, ending with seeing everyone at breakfast on Sunday to say final good byes. We got married over a month ago, and folks are still raving about how much fun they had. A huge additional selling point for us was that we could use the fire pit after the reception. We love NH and love being outside, and it was a great way to wind down Saturday night after the festivities. It was a huge hit! Reviewed on 09-06-2019

Working with Linda and her crew was amazing, they made sure to answer all our questions and take as much stress off us as possible. She focused on my needs even with two strong mother personalities. We were able to change the location (to the tent from the carriage house) very late since we had more people that expected, which was amazing they could accommodate and it went very smoothly. Linda and her team helped us decorate on Thursday to make sure the tent looked exactly like we wanted. She make my dreams a reality on Saturday by finishing the tables and decorations exactly has I imagined them. The food was delicious, it came out hot and quickly, all tables ate within 10 minutes of each other. People raved about the service and food. The cocktail hour outside was beautiful and provided the mountain views we longed for. Most of our guests stayed at the hotel and loved the charm of the old elevator and the personal service provided. We used the fire pit option and it was such a nice way to wind down after the reception. Planning a wedding is no easy task, however, it was truly a pleasure to work with them and the team. We had one major concern of getting our elderly mother down to the wedding site, because she has issues walking and they worked out a solution. They were able to assist her in getting her to our wedding without any issues. This took a huge weight off of our shoulders. In addition, we had one small issue the day before our wedding and the team worked tirelessly through the night to fix it, so our wedding went off without a hitch! Thank you everyone for all of your hard work! Our wedding at the Eagle Mountain House was nothing less than spectacular! The staff is like family and they did an amazing job. The chef even came out to congratulate us and to ensure we were satisfied with all of the food. Everything was perfect. We love the Eagle Mountain House for the rustic charm, breathtaking views, the delicious food, friendly staff and they were able ro recommend all local vendors who were outstanding. We received the most beautiful flowers any bride could imagine from Dutch Bloeman Winkel. Our delicious and beautifully decorated cake came from Autumn Nomad. The justice of the peace who performed the service Barbara Theriault, did a lovely job. The readings and prayers she chose were so beautiful, that they made us both cry. Our photographer was Megan Bailey another lovely individual who was so easy to work with. She was kind, funny and she has taken some gorgeous photos of our wedding day...can’t wait to see the rest of them! My sister planned her wedding in less than 6 months but could not have done so without the help of the fabulous Linda Boyer. Linda was organized, professional, and extremely hands on, not just from a planning perspective, but also for the execution of the entire wedding weekend. Not only was Linda a dream to work with, but the entire staff were extremely accommodating, helpful and friendly. Our family and friends were blown away by their level of attentiveness. Kelly Huettner(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-08-2018 I was married at the Eagle Mtn House on 5/20/17 and we booked our wedding back in March of 2016, so our planning process involved the many management changes. I have to admit that with each new coordinator I became more and more nervous as details weren't being conveyed. But once we met with Linda in January we felt 100% confident our wedding day would be perfect! I am an event planner myself and in one meeting I instantly knew that Linda was experienced, kind, organized and most importantly cared about the success of our wedding day. She - and her assistant Brittany - put up with my seemingly endless emails and pdfs with smiles and even pushed the completion date of the porch renovation up so our guests could rock on the porch. Brittany helped bring older guests down to the ceremony space via golf cart and to the carriage house. Honestly, all of the staff were so kind and courteous to all of our guests. I am still having guests remind me how much fun and easy the day was. The food was amazing (Ryan the chef is the best!) and when my cake baker arrived with a bit of a melted cake, the staff went into overdrive to help her fix it. Even the catering captain made sure everything looked perfect. I felt like I was working with a well-oiled and professional team who not just took my ideas, but also gave me excellent suggestions. Even the desk manager that weekend - Katie - went out of her way to make myself and our guests comfortable. The hotel is such a beautiful and historical place and may need some updating down the road, but it is clean and comfortable and all of our guests raved about the location. My husband and I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding experience. I feel terrible that some people may have experienced the disorganized staff from late 2016, but the new crew is one of the most professional event teams I have had the pleasure of working with in my career. I wish I could take them to every wedding that I do! Reviewed on 13-06-2017
rachel Klauber(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-09-2016 DO NOT USE THIS VENUE!! Eagle Mountain House ruined our wedding day and our engagement experience. They were unprofessional and incompetent. BEWARE!Problems arouse early on when our first coordinator lied about the space/capacity of the tent and rules regarding weather. The tent did not hold 200 people or was weather proofed as promised. This made our day overcrowded and stressful when it stormed during the reception. Our 1st coordinator didn't document simple information so when she abruptly left and we had the 2nd coordinator, we had to start at the beginning. Due to changes in management again our 2nd coordinator left too! Our third coordinator (current coordinator- Emilie L. ) wouldn't reach out to us until we contacted higher management. At this time we were a month away from our wedding date with nothing but a date planned. Being so far behind in the planning process, many promise were made with little follow through. This lack of effort, complete disorganization and unprofessional behavior continued throughout the wedding day. I had made great attempts to get the information that was needed, making schedules and diagrams, but basic scheduling and details were still incorrect until an hour before the reception! I was scrambling to do the job that staff should have. It seemed completely unacceptable that we had to be so stressed and do their job. I did not have a chance to enjoy my day because I had to do the work that other's could not. Worst of all was the hard labor that our guests had to do because the staff were inept. Guests were shocked and worried about the staff who could not handle the steps they were given. They jumped in to help with set up and did most of the work for hours. Furthermore, at the end of the night our guests noticed that staff were throwing away our items and being reckless. Guests stepped in to salvage the items we had spent months paying for and creating. Staff were late to set up events, leading to guests walking into an event space with storage containers and no chairs out- so embarrassing! Sadly enough, a bunch a guests saw our coordinator have a “mental breakdown” and started “freaking out” in the middle of the cocktail hour. Everyone who saw felt very uncomfortable by her unstable behavior. Eagle Mountain's inability to do their job cost of lots of money too. They lost flowers for the cake, lost our favors for the children, and did not fill the adult favors (matches), wasting the time, effort and money put in and guests with no favors! The staff lied and blamed others until items were founds locked away the following day. The worst was when strangers trespassed into the event (despite promises of privacy signs and security) and attempted to steal our wedding money! Once again our wedding guests had to step in to assist them out and get back our money. The venue was unaware of this group of people on their premises with back packs, it's crazy! Our vendors as well as our guests were unhappy with the process. Vendors stated they did not feel comfortable working with the Eagle Mountain staff and would not recommend this to others. They reported that the staff were “very overwhelmed and unorganized” and “if it were not for your guests being so helpful” then the event would not happened. Whatever your do, DO NOT use them. They will try to persuade you and make promises but you will be left just as upset as us. We ae left sadden and disappointed with little happy memories of the day. Reviewed on 26-11-2016
