Earl and Wilson is an urban wedding and event venue in Historic Lowertown Saint Paul, located at the corner of 7th Street and Wacouta. This light-filled space features exposed wood beams, original stack stone and brick walls and is drenched in historic charm and character dating back to the late 1800’s. This newly renovated space is the perfect backdrop for your next event and for making timeless memories.

Cannot say enough great things about Earl & Wilson and their staff. As a COVID bride, they were beyond helpful with rescheduling and were great at communication. Lizie and Abby went above and beyond for us and were great points of contact leading up to the day and day of. They were great resources and were super helpful with recommendations for vendors and had great tips. The bridal and grooms suites were amazing and it was so great to have a space on site to get ready and store our belongings. And the space itself... omg. Honestly a dream. It was so nice to be able to have a few different rooms to entertain in! Lizie and Abby helped create the best day of our lives. <3

My wife and I were just married at Earl and Wilson on 8/19, and we had the absolute best day of our lives. The venue is so unique and absolutely stunning. Our guests gave us so many compliments about the space, which made us feel so proud and good about our venue choice. Having the separation in rooms was awesome! The dance was awesome in the main room, and while that went on the other room was full of people who wanted a quieter conversation and was also full of yard games like bags, jenga, and others. That was so nice to have as it kept everyone at the venue longer. We also loved the get-ready spaces available. You wont find better in the metro, especially for the guys! Further, the service we received on-site was also excellent, we couldn’t be happier. Thanks to Kathy and Mike for lending us their venue. We are so happy with how our day went. Cheers!

My wife and I were just married at Earl and Wilson on 8/19, and we had the absolute best day of our lives. The venue is so unique and absolutely stunning. Our guests gave us so many compliments about the space, which made us feel so proud and good about our venue choice. Having the separation in rooms was awesome! We recently had our wedding at Earl and Wilson and would recommend them 100%. Abby was so helpful and responsive throughout the entire planning process. During the week of the wedding and the event itself, she was extremely flexible and accommodating, letting us come in on Thursday for a rehearsal and Friday to set up. Abby is so organized and knows exactly how to throw a successful wedding. She’s the best!The venue itself is gorgeous. We received so many compliments from our guests. It is pretty big, too— we had 240 guests and felt that the space was certainly able to accommodate that. It is also byob, which saved us a ton of money! Earl and Wilson is a great venue, and I would absolutely recommend them!

This venue turned out to be excellent for our daughter’s 250 guest wedding (yes, we fit 250 and it was just fine, with a good buzz but not too crowded.) Abbey was our host and was generous and accommodating with her time, allowing us entry to the venue for rehearsal, then again for decorating. We moved from the ceremony in the big room, to cocktails in the smaller room, and back to the big room after it had been flipped out for dinner. She helped the day of coordinator with the music for the ceremony, helped the band get set up, and did hundreds of other little things to make the day go off without a hitch. The space has an urban chic vibe and hotels and parking works fine for many of our out of town guests. I couldn’t recommend more highly.

We LOVED our experience at Earl and Wilson and would highly recommend. We got married at a church down the street and had our guests walk to the venue for our reception. The venue is stunning, in an awesome location, and the coordinators (Lizie & Abby) were fantastic to work with - they answered all our questions and took care of everything we needed. The option to bring in our own alcohol made a huge difference too . Our guests LOVED the venue - it is relatively new and I liked that our guests hadn't been there before. The overall experience was incredibly smooth and if we were to do it all over again, we would no doubt pick this venue!

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Earl and Wilson in June. Lizie was extremely friendly and always responded to emails quickly during the planning process. They were very flexible and understanding - our original wedding date was August 2020 and they let us postpone to a Saturday in 2021 at no additional cost. Being able to hire our own bartenders and bring in our own alcohol saved a ton of money compared to other venues that we looked at. The getting ready rooms were beautiful and the Day Of Event Coordinator (Denise) was very helpful and friendly. We loved that we could have our ceremony in a separate room and didn't have to do a room flip. The back room is pretty small - at most you could probably only fit 180 guests without it being extremely tight. We had 150 guests and it was perfect for the ceremony and we didn't have to tear down any tables in the reception room for the dance floor after dinner.

This venue is incredible! The exposed brick and ceilings are exactly what we were looking for and required very little additional decor. The getting ready rooms are also perfect for big groups and fabulous getting ready pictures. Their amenities allowed for us to be on-site all day and not have to worry about traveling between different locations. Leading up to our wedding day, Lizie was extremely responsive to our last minute questions! Denise was on-site for our wedding day and was AMAZING! She was so helpful and always had a huge smile on her face. Her hard work kept our day running smoothly and flawlessly! We were able to leave most of our decor and our leftover cake at the venue overnight and picked it up on Sunday - which was super helpful and made the end of the night process so easy! We had our reception at Earl & Wilson on 11/9/19. One of the main characteristics that drew us to this venue was the natural beauty and character the building has! We knew we could keep our decorations simple and it would still have an elegant and classy look. We had no issues throughout the planning process and working with Lizie and Denise was great! Communication was easy and prompt, and they allowed us to personalize the venue how we wanted. A true benefit of this venue are the beautiful getting ready rooms, which our wedding party raved about! 10/10 would recommend this venue!

I originally heard about Earl & Wilson because they are located above our favorite brewery- Barrel Theory, but as soon as we toured the space my jaw dropped. The event space was exactly what we were looking for- with multiple rooms that we could configure for our ceremony & reception, a lot of the original historic character of the buildings, spacious getting ready rooms, located in beautiful Lowertown, and none of our friends had heard of it yet! ;) Kathy the owner really made us feel at home on our original tour and Lizie was a knowledgeable and reliable resource on the day of our wedding. We keep getting compliments on how special the space was and how it matched our vibe. We want to arrange another party just so that we can visit Earl & Wilson again!

The venue is absolutely beautiful and so convenient!Kathy is amazing- she answered all my questions (there were a lot) in a timely manner and offered helpful insight for setting up the venue for the day. Plus she is super chill which was great for us! We feel very lucky to have found this venue and to have worked with Kathy and her wonderful staff!The bridal/groom suites are so awesome! It was so nice to get there in the morning and relax while getting ready. Our bridal party had a great time as well and the pictures are gorgeous!Another great thing about the venue is we were able to have the ceremony and the reception all in one place. This was really important for us when we were searching for a venue and Earl and Wilson is so beautiful and has its own charm that we didn't feel the need to do much for decorations!

We fell in love with Earl & Wilson as soon as we walked in. It had the exact feel we were looking for- lots of original brick, beautiful hardwoods, big windows, and pretty chandeliers. The GORGEOUS getting ready rooms were also a huge bonus! We had already looked at about 10 other venues, and Earl & Wilson quickly made it to the top of our list. After comparing pricing and features, Earl & Wilson could not be beat, and were absolutely thrilled with our choice. The getting ready rooms are not only beautiful, they’re also huge and were perfectly functional for our large wedding party. The three distinct spaces each have their own character and worked out great- our guests loved having the option to sit in the lounge when they needed to rest their dancing shoes, and the main room was large enough to comfortably seat our guest list of nearly 300. Guests raved about the beautiful setting and our pictures are stunning against the beautiful brick walls. The owners are so sweet, and were there the entire day to make sure everything went smoothly. We are so happy we found Earl & Wilson to help make our wedding day absolutely perfect!

We got married at E&W a few weeks ago, and it was perfect! The space is gorgeous with the brick, exposed beams, hardwood floors and glammed up with crystal chandeliers. The owners, Kathy and Mike, were accommodating to our needs/requests and answered all our (many) questions. The getting ready-suites are amazing, with a full beauty bar for the ladies and a foosball table for the guys. Location is great right off the downtown exit, numerous affordable hotel options nearby, various parking lots (that you can rent out for your guests), and restaurants/bars in walking distance for rehearsal dinners or if your guests want to keep the party going after midnight!Lots of flexibility with vendors, so you can operating within your budget, and the best savings: you can supply your own alcohol if you use a bartending service. We were able to provide a full open bar the entire night, with higher quality products for a fraction of the cost of many other catering companies we considered.Get in on this new space before it's booked up solid!

Kathy Johnson (Owner) My husband, Mike, and I are so excited to share this newly renovated space with you. We really feel the timelessness of it can add that special element to any event. There's an intentional balance between unintimidating stone, brick, wood elements and crystal chandeliers and luxe touches to make you and your guests feel special and right at home.
