East Wind exceeded all expectations! With the capacity to accommodate our large guest list, they created an incredible experience for us. The food was not only amazing but tailored to perfection, satisfying every palate. The exceptional staff (Shout out to Jennifer, Tony, and Tara) played a pivotal role in making our day the best it could be. From start to finish, this venue proved to be the ideal choice for a memorable and seamless wedding. Highly recommend for a truly special celebration! Reviewed on 29-12-2023

Our wedding at The East Wind was an absolute DREAM come true. When reading reviews, the ones that really stood out were the ones about Jennifer. We booked an appointment and she greeted us with her amazing smile and extremely outgoing personality. She felt like family (and quickly became part of it). She listened to what we wanted, learned about us & never ever pushed us one way or another. She came back with options that she felt worked for us. We quickly decided this was the place for us. We didn’t want a long engagement & we signed our contract to have our wedding in the Northampton Ballroom on 11.11.22 for our wedding on 11.11.23. We felt the price was affordable and we were getting SO much for our money. Jennifer is a GREAT communicator, too great if you ask me. I would have to yell at her for answering my emails on her days off. When we were reaching our final appointment I was starting to get frazzled. I was emailing Jenn on different email chains with different questions. Even though she says I didn’t drive her crazy, I know I did. I will forever be grateful for her help in bringing our vision of a perfect day to life. There are always hiccups, however, Jennifer took any troubles we were having, assured us they would be taken care of by her personally, and they were. We never felt that we were on our own. We met our Maitre D’ Scott at our final appointment. He listened to our vision for the day, worked with us to ensure it would all be executed FLAWLESSLY & he came through. All the planning and little details were getting us too frazzled. We communicated best we could & just let go. We let Scott work his magic, & he made it one thousand times better than we could ever imagined. We both cried seeing the room for the first time. Desmond’s - To make things even easier for us (annoying right?) they has an on site restaurant that we decided to have our rehearsal dinner in the night before. We worked with Rob. He helped us pick the menu that worked best for us. We weren’t rushed, & they let us enjoy ourselves. We invited our families for brunch the morning after the wedding & we had a great time. We stayed from basically open to close of the buffet, & just reminisced about the night before. Which EVERYONE loved. We both decided to stay in the inn the night before the wedding. We wanted to keep tradition and not see or even speak to each other the day of the wedding. Lauren made sure we were on separate floors, & in areas we wouldn’t run in to each other. All of our guests who stayed in the inn raved about their rooms & loved the accommodations. They only let you book 10 rooms within a block, which wasn’t ideal for us. We understood we picked a popular day, & there were other weddings going on in other rooms, which had NO impact on us, by the way. Fab, or bridal attendant is amazing. She ALWAYS made sure we had a drink in our hand, & made sure we were staying hydrated too. My wife had 35 bustles on her dress. As our guests enjoyed cocktail hour, she worked on this dress while my wife and I enjoyed the food they brought to our bridal suite. Fab still made sure we were able to get to the cocktail hour and see our guests. The family we have made here will always have a special place in our hearts. We will always be grateful for how they made us feel & the love they showered us with.Jennifer, let’s get planning on the baby showers, christenings, & vow renewals ASAP! Reviewed on 06-01-2024

We wed at the Vineyard at East Wind in October and we had the picture perfect wedding day. The grounds are immaculately groomed and the landscaping is breathtaking. From the moment you enter the vineyard, you'll know you made the right choice. The food is excellent as the staff so attentive, professional and caring. My guests still haven't stopped talking about our wedding and quite a few of them have stated that is where they would like their wedding to be. A hug shoutout to Jennifer M., Joe C., Joey Bowtie and Barbara - they are the ones who brought us through step one till the end without a hitch! I really hope to be a guest at a wedding there soon! We took the package (photo/video, dj, florist) for the Veranda room. We spent the whole weekend (Fri-Sun) out here with our families. It was so nice to have everyone together in the hotel all weekend, it was like the party never ended! Went in the pool, had some drinks/food with live music at the bar, got ready the morning of in our rooms, enjoyed walking the shops, delicious Sunday brunch. Our photos in the room and all around the hotel/property were stunning with all the Christmas decor. Rooms were nice and clean, they worked with us whenever we needed to add rooms to our block or make any changes. Just the fact that everything was all in one the whole weekend made it worth it. Tara our maitre’d, Marylou our bridal attendant, Sadie our bridal attendant in training shadowing Marylou. All were amazing, helped our reception run so smoothly, were so helpful to my husband and me. Especially Marylou and Sadie their attitude was basically that everything is great, my husband and I could do no wrong, and no request was unreasonable. Reviewed on 01-01-2024

East Wind did a great job with our wedding on 10/28/23. Everything went seamless and we worried about nothing. They even came up with a last minute solution when we realized that we had forgotten to bring a card box. We had a great time, and so did all of our guests. The food and service was wonderful Reviewed on 19-11-2023

I cannot fathom the idea of another bride going through what I did. If you have any self respect, don't choose East Wind! They sell an all-inclusive package that doesn't include:Digital version of photos ($250)Centerpieces past 10 ($35 per)Flowers Ceremony ($1600)Ceremony and cocktail hour music + MC ($900)Golf cart useGetting ready at venue ($250 per 1/2 hour)Tips ($1,175 + vendors)The venue tour is full of lies:They say you can use the golf cart to take carousel pics, but they wouldn't let us use it)They say the provided flowers can be removed but they won't let you take them down.Digital versions of photos are NOT included in packageMoving on...They closed their bakery 1 month before the wedding and offered to switch my order to another bakery. No tasting and EW would not provide an order confirmation. I had to call the bakery myself in order to make sure the order was correct...AND THEY STILL MESSED IT UP. The cake was made the wrong flavor. This is exactly why I was uncomfortable going with a bakery I hadn't used before, I bought my engagement party cake from EW's bakery so I would know what I was getting and EW ruined that. AND the sales team tried to lie and say the bakery chose to close, but someone at the bakery told me EW shut them down.We were told 10-12 people per table for the reception at our original meeting, then 8-10, then 8-12. Ended up being 9-12!When we paid in full our receipt was accompanied by an envelope stating we were EXPECTED to tip them $1,175 (not in our contract). One week later they leave a voicemail stating that they messed up the final bill and will just run my credit card for the remaining amount since I didn't answer the phone. When I called back they had already charged my card for over $800 and were only willing to cancel the charge if I brought them the amount in cash within the next few days. I show up to the rehearsal to discover the venue is still decorated from the last wedding. I inquire and discover that they changed their permanent outdoor display to a hideous array of CLEARLY FAKE flowers (see photo). I start crying because my vision of my wedding is ruined (I handmade all of my florals) and the Maitre'd says something to the affect of \"are you done, I'm trying to run a rehearsal.\"Scott promises maintenance will remove the flowers by 7am the next day (day of wedding), we arrive around 9am and my father-in-law has to take them down himself and replace them with our decorations just hours before the ceremony because EW won't (also tried to tell him he wasn't allowed to take them down). Back to the rehearsal...after the fiasco outside, we go in to set up the reception space. The Maitre'd abandons us, leaving me, an already distraught bride to discover they are short on tables. My mother actually had to go downstairs and tell him to go up and help us.Then during the wedding the MC forgets to announce one of the groomsmen and they can't make the signature drink (which was ordered 3 months prior) because they don't have Blue Curacao (they didn't even tell me, I found out from a guest). Finally, the morning after the wedding we were rudely awoken around 8am by an EW management pounding on the door to kick us out of the hotel. A shitty end to shitty service! Reviewed on 07-11-2023

the Estate @ Eastwind, Long Island: exceeded my expectations- beautiful venue, heard the food was AWESOME - when it’s your wedding, you THINK you’ll eat, but I’m telling you… you don’t. I’m the biggest foodie- I love to eat but.. the overwhelmed feeling kills your appetite. ASK FOR A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING FROM COCKTAIL HOUR TO TAKE HOME (a regret of mine) & one of each entree. You’ll want to eat it in the morning! Jennifer was my sales manager, and she was a pleasure- very easy going, and quickly replied to all of my crazy 3 am emails when I couldn’t sleep and was stressed about silly things. Tony was my maitre d & Mary Lou was my bridal attendant. I didn’t see Tony for much of the night, but it all ran so smoothly, and I set up my lobby because I have OCD, and controlling issues- but I can’t think of any complaints. Mary Lou was AMAZING and on top of everything the entire time. I never DIDN’T have a nice, cold drink in hand. However, we brought a LOT of liquor because we wanted specific types that didn’t come on the package we got. And not ONE liquor bottle was given back to us. I know for a fact the guests didn’t go through all of the liquor we brought, but I was told they would’ve packed it for me if there was any left…. Reviewed on 03-11-2023

I am giving East Winds 5 stars because our day was absolutely INCREDIBLE! The staff, service, and food was amazing and our guests were raving about it from start to finish. We got married 9/15/23 in the Northampton courtyard and had our cocktail hour/reception in the ballrooms afterwards. The courtyard and the entire ceremony ran so smoothly. The cocktail hour was HUGE and we didn't pay any extra. The amount of food you get within your package is absolutely more than enough. At the reception they even came around with SECONDS of dinner for our guests to choose from. Our Maitre D Joe Caserta was awesome and did everything I asked him too, plus so much more. Our salesperson was Melissa and we also got to work with Joey Bowties. The three of them are such an asset to East Wind and made our day amazing. We cannot thank then enough!I would tell anyone to book East Wind. They have plenty of different space options, there is something for everyone and you truly cannot beat their package of vendors and what they offer, especially being on Long Island! The food at cocktail hour and reception was just outstanding. All of our guests raved about it and no one went home hungry. We had our after party and welcome drinks at Desmond’s which was so easy and accommodating!! I was so thrilled with the way everything turned out!! If you want a rustic wedding vibe with a hotel, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in the same place book east wind! The one thing I will mention is that each wedding is only allowed 10 rooms for a room block which was not enough for our immediate family and bridal party so we had to block out some other local hotels but this is understandable as they have other weddings on site! Suzy DaPonte(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-09-2022 My husband and I were married at East Wind in September 2022. It's hard to find the words to describe how wonderful our experience has been. After meeting the Sales Manager, Jennifer everything just fell into place. Let's face it, planning a wedding is a lot of work. The stress of even finding a venue was a lot for us. We personally were faced with venues not being transparent about their availability and giving us the run around about dates they had open. The frustration was starting already and up until we had our meeting with Jennifer, I was beginning to lose steam. She was open, honest, and transparent about availability, pricing, and packages... Honey, everything you wanted to know she knew. Not to mention she was an absolute angel on earth. She doesn't have to tell you, you just know she loves what she does. Her passion comes out when she talks about your wedding… when she helps you visualize it and then struts you around like you own the joint. She was my #1 hype woman. She personally made me feel so special about this momentous event, and again with all the planning, you can sometimes lose focus on how exciting it really is. I can't speak more highly on East Wind. I loved that they had everything included and it was just picking out what we wanted. There was only one little hiccup with an included vendor that Jennifer and the team went out of their way to remedy for me. That was huge. I had an issue, I reached out and they handled it timely and respectfully. I popped in a few times prior to my event to see the beautiful renovations to our space. We were welcomed not only by Jennifer but by the operations manager, Joe. Joe is another one that made this experience so wonderful for us. He went out of his way throughout this process to make sure we were happy with every single thing we wanted. However, he did it with such kindness and commitment. We never once felt like he was just doing it because “It was his job”. He really cared- and we knew that. Scott our Maitre D was a true professional. He brought our vision to life and we loved how seamless the day of went. Our bridal attendant Mayra was so wonderful. She was so sweet and attentive- we really appreciated her being with us! We even took a picture together in our photobooth that we LOVE. This wedding process for me has been so wonderful. From the very beginning in planning and choosing who I would use, I told myself that I wanted everything to be a special experience. This is my wedding- I wanted to feel like the people who were helping me were in it for the right reasons- I didn't want to feel like I was bothering them when I called or that they were too busy to chat. We hit the lotto at EW, they have a stacked team of professional, loving, and committed people. At my last appointment with Jennifer, it felt so bittersweet. These have been MY people and we had reached the end, yet the beginning of a beautiful life with my now husband. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts for making this time so special for us. From the look, to the ease, to the surplus of tasty dishes, they were outstanding. I have severe medical issues that required special arrangements. Not once, was I made to feel like an inconvenience, or embarrassed. They are VERY good with food allergy safety! This is a big deal! They also were receptive to me needing the staff masked inside our room. They even had the bridal attendant and Maître d' take a test that morning. They were so supportive and helpful when we learned the morning before that my father tested Positive for COVID-19, and thus could not attend. We were able to work out a few pictures outside with a safe distance between me and my father. We had Tara as our maître d'. She was fantastic! She knew what had to be done, and executed it flawlessly. She made our vision come to life, and made us feel at ease. My bridal attendant was Maira, she was like a best friend I knew forever, while remaining professional at the same time. I could not have been any more comfortable with her. I was not concerned about a thing. And, when I got a little teary eyed saying goodbye to my father, she was the first one to hand me a tissue and immediately make me laugh, to support me. She and Tara kept me us informed, comfortable, and happy all day and night. They were a terrific team! I also have to mention another person who I believe no longer works there, but was such an integral part to our planning. We eventually worked with salesperson Christi after a few changes at the venue. She was outstanding, and I just felt wrong not mentioning how her help made us be able to get to our day safely. My Maître d tony, was amazing. We didn’t do a rehearsal, but tony made sure everyone knew what they were doing and when they were doing it. I didn’t have to worry about a thing knowing he was handling the event. The cocktail hour was amazing, my guests keep raving about the different stations, the extravagant set up of every station all the way down to the small details. The Chef really out did himself with the food. It was an insane amount of food. I’ve been to other weddings and haven’t seen this much food being served at cocktail ours. My bridal attendant was Mary Lou and she was better than I could expect. My mom was very nervous about bustling my dress and Mary Lou handled it so well. I never had an empty hand. She even had bud lights waiting for us after our ceremony. She calmed us down, made sure we had a minute to ourselves before we met our guests. I can’t thank her enough for how amazing she was. The rest of the staff was on point from what my family and friends have told me. Every table had only good things to share about the service they received. The bartenders were making good drinks and even played along with our “signature drink” which was icing our bridal party. Guests continue to tell us how amazing of a wedding this was, and I can’t stop praising east wind and the job they did. 10/10 would recommend and I can’t wait to be a guest at my friend and cousins weddings at East wind that are coming up this year. Rehearsal dinnerHad my rehearsal dinner at Ruggeros. It was amazing. From the food to the drinks to Alyssa the manager making sure everything was taken care of. The servers were all on point. We had the private room in the back, which was so nice, and my guests were able to go right outside if they needed to. The chef even went out of his way to make my grandma a plain piece of salmon because she can’t eat much or have any seasoning. 10/10 would recommend Ruggeros to anyone looking for a rehearsal dinner. Carousel bake shopCarousel did my groomsmen cake, as well as my wedding cake. I gave the baker m idea for the groom’s men cake, and she took It and ran. It was a Jets jersey, and it came out so realistic. My husband loved it and didn’t even want to cut into it. Just wanted to keep looking at it. For my wedding cake I let the baker use her creativity and do whatever she wanted. This was the best idea I could have had. She brought out the most amazing, and delicious cake I could never have dreamed of. The Hotel manager, Luisa was on point. I have a bit of a momzilla, and Luisa was able to calm her down and help her organize all the front desk bags for check in. Our Sunday wedding with our package deal was remarkable and our guests cannot stop talking about it! East wind gave us a great deal and worked with us through the pandemic. My sales rep Jennifer was a pleasure to work with in preparation for the event. Then our Maitre D, Tony, was great keeping our event running smoothly. Our bridal attendant, Mary Lou was OUTSTANDING. She catered to us all night. We even ended up going to Desmond’s in the Inn for three hours after the wedding and when everyone was tired they had the ability to go to the room block which was super convenient. Overall, I am so happy we chose to get married there!! Reviewed on 03-04-2022

Ashley Mardos(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-12-2021 Our wedding was this past May. We were postponed from covid. The people we dealt with were friendly and nice. We booked the estate, which was beautiful. However it poured the day of and about 25 mins from the start of our ceremony they were setting up indoors. Cocktail hour we were missing some passed h’ourderves and we also upgraded one of them which was pretty pricey and I just recently found out only 2 people saw them come out. During the reception our guests were not offered seconds st all which was stated in the contract. And 2 out of 15 tables were given the passed desserts. I was not made aware of any of this until recently. I don’t know if they dropped the ball because of Covid but after all the money we spent and planning I was pretty devastated to hear this from quite a few of our guests. Reviewed on 31-12-2021
Michelle Alvarez(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-11-2021 My husband and I went to East Wind as the first venue to check out from the list we had, as we drove off we immediately called Jennifer, and said yes to the venue. Jen is absolutely incredible, bubbly, fun, and detailed, everything you need to make the wedding jitters disappear! Our original date was 11/27/2020 but with covid we decided to postpone, we were so worried but regardless of the stresses she must’ve been going through, she managed to get us in exactly a year from our original date as we wanted our wedding the day after thanksgiving. No problem at all! Thought that year there was constant communication, and I felt like a weight was off my shoulders. Fast forward, before our wedding on 11/26/21, I met with Luis my Maître d’, since our deist meeting I knew he was the perfect fit and I trusted him wholeheartedly, and my god was I right in doing so! Luis is professional, has years of experience, detailed, we laughed, we cried, between him and Jen we created an unbreakable bond! They both executed every detail I envisioned, even more than I imagined! Our wedding day came, and the weather wasn’t the best, in fact it was freezing cold! We wanted a ceremony outside but no way would we do that under those conditions. I asked Luis if we could have it inside and he assured me it will look beautiful. Before I walked down the aisle, Jen appears rushing in all happy and excited and all I can say omg you made it, both with tears in our eyes, that meant everything to me! As I walked down the aisle, I embraced every single detail, the lights, the decor, the seating and as I got close I saw my to be husband, it was emotionally so beautiful. He and the staff absolutely killed it! My bridal assistant helped with not only my dress but a malfunction on my bridesmaids dress. We had a intimate meal during the cocktail hour but rushed back as we were too excited. Omg the amount of food, and happiness in that room!!! Everyone was in awe, raving about how good the food was! Then the reception, uff that was a whole party! Dinner was INCREDIBLE, and our guests and us included were jaw dropped when they came around serving seconds!!! Like what no other venue does that! The entire staff, was the best! We wished we were a guest at our own wedding because that’s how amazing it was! All thanks to them! Thank you all at East Wind, thank you Jen for being a friend, and for being so dedicated and loving, and for making this experience a memory we will never forget. Thank Luis for making my dream a reality, with so much love. I am grateful I had you, and grateful that you were apart of our day. Gabriella Rossetti(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-11-2021 My son was married on Friday, November 26, 2021 in the Cottage. We originally booked his wedding, two years ago, and it was supposed to take place last year. COVID 19 had other plans for us. We booked the wedding with Jennifer. Immediately, I felt like she understood not only the couple vision, but she had an understanding of how important this wedding was to us. I include myself in the “us” and you will soon understand why. We moved from Queens to Long Island to start a new life after my marriage ended. Joseph (who was just married) took on a new role. He was no longer just the oldest sibling, he was now the man of the house. He sacrificed a lot growing up. Paid for every single college textbook for his sister, who is only a year younger than he is, bought is brother his first car, took me grocery shopping and to numerous doctors appointments as I battled health issues. He was selfless. When he got engaged, and decided to have a wedding, I recommended East Wind, because I had attended a wedding there a couple of months prior and LOVED IT. What I didn’t know was how we would immediately feel like family. Jennifer cried with me when we booked the wedding. I briefly explained our situation and she made sure she never let us down. I told her, that whatever my son wanted, to give him. She took every call, answered every email, and made what could be a very stressful time, seamless. She is simply amazing. Everything was so perfect I am still crying over it. I cannot thank you enough for making mine and my sons dream come true! Jennifer, you are family. The only complaints are about the food but it was mostly really great,,, the rice was undercooked and tasted just like plain boiled sticky/gooey white rice which was embarrassing and also the scalloped potatoes at the cocktail hour were undercooked as well,, my dad said his steak was a little tough. Jennifer M was our catering manager and she was a large part of the reason we chose East Wind - from the moment we met her she was warm, engaging, friendly, and supportive. Getting married in the time of COVID was so stressful, but Jennifer made us feel at ease every time we spoke to her. We plan on visiting Jennifer at least once a year for lunch because she is now part of our family. Mary, the secretary in the catering office is such a doll! She gave us great honeymoon tips for Hawaii and was such a sweet person every time we interacted with her. Lauren at the front desk was delightful to work with in planning our room block. Mayra, our bridal attendant, was just the best! She kept my husband calm when he was having a meltdown and she was right by our side the entire night. We still keep in touch with her, that’s the kind of bond we made. And finally, Luis, our Maitre d’, ran the entire day with such precision and care. He is so detail-oriented and he made us feel at peace on a day where anything could go wrong! He made sure nothing went wrong. The whole team worked to ensure our day was perfect - and it was!The venue itself is beautiful. It’s perfect if you have out-of-town guests because they can stay at the inn, visit the shoppes, and dine at the restaurants. My family and friends came from out of town and enjoyed the hotel accommodations, the quaint shoppes, the spa, and Desmond’s. They also spent a day at the local vineyards. They made a whole weekend getaway out of our wedding night. We even made sure to enjoy our weekend - we booked a room the night before and the night of our wedding in addition to booking a spa treatment for us both the morning of our wedding. What a great way to relax! We got married in The Veranda. It was such a unique venue because it had three different settings for the evening: the beautiful outdoor garden chapel for the ceremony, the stunning upper lobby and veranda for cocktail hour, and the beautiful reception room with its expansive bar and access to the veranda. The food was spectacular! Our guests raved about the food (and the seconds!). Mayra got us a little bit of everything for our plates and it was so delicious! Her enthusiasm and vibrant personality made the entire planning process so easy. Let me start by saying from the bottom of my heart... thank you.Our wedding at East Wind on December 29 2019 was truly exceptional. The allure and reputation of East Wind alone is what made us book our wedding there. However the service we received was unparalleled. From the minute we arrived on property yesterday we were taken care of with the utmost class and hospitality. Our Maitre D Luis was a dream come true. The meticulous attention to detail he had and the “you don’t have to worry about anything” mindset he instilled in us was what made the day so spectacular. Pairing him with our bridal attendant Krista made for an amazing team. I can not say enough accolades about the two of them. Krista made sure my wife was never without a drink or anything she might have needed and handled everything exceptionally and without being asked. Her attentiveness made us feel completely at ease. She kept the night on track beautifully. The both of them are two all stars that we both agree made yesterday run flawlessly. They are tremendous assets to the EW team. We took Luis’ advice to sit in our bridal suite alone and relax before the cocktail hour started and we enjoyed every minute of it. We left that room completely stuffed and were able to socialize with our guests without being hungry. Luis also had all the vendors on the same page which made for an even easier night. Our guests raved about the quality and taste of the food. We have attended weddings that cost on the upside of 75,000 dollars and we agree that the service we received at East Wind was priceless in comparison. The food tasted fresh and was prepared beautifully. We can not say enough good things about our special day. We are still smiling from ear to ear. On behalf of my wife and myself thank you for making this possible. EW handled us with such care and everything was as described, and even better. Reviewed on 31-12-2019

They weren't much help at all with anything. By the end of the night everyone was leaving and they packed all my stuff on the dance floor and told me I had to take it over to their hotel. All of my guess left. So I had to walk out caring all my luggage all my flowers all my favors everything that was mine from the wedding and they expected me to walk to the hotel. One of the kitchen ladies was driving a golf cart and I asked her for a ride. I put all my stuff on a food chart and got on with my wedding dress on a dirty food golf cart. When me and my husband got to the front desk the own was rude very nasty man and said that was in are contract to get there on my own to the east winds hotel. I said I would like to see that because that is a lie and ofcourse noting like that was said in are contract. Even though you spend all this money on a wedding there they dont even help you to your room because once your wedding is done in their eyes they your not a bride or even a special hotel guest. I had to call the front dress because I never got my bouquet and my bail was missing they came a couple of hours later and said they forgot to pack it. I would never recommend this place. The Cottage is a nice setting but a bride and a groom should never be holding all her luggage and every that was from the wedding to another building that is their property. Reviewed on 10-12-2019

Brittany Dammann(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-10-2019 We got married at the Estate at East Wind! What a BEAUTIFUL venue! My heart was set on it the minute I saw it. We toured all of the rooms at East Wind (as there are roughly 5 of them) and fell in love with the Estate. The beautiful huge windows in the room where the dais sits is what originally caught my eye in pictures. Then seeing it in person, along with the entire space of the room, made me know it was the one. All of the grounds are gorgeous and heavily flowered/gardened, all year round. I knew I wanted the ceremony to be outside there because of how beautiful that area was, luckily the weather held out (despite the weather report changing 700 times that week!) We got very lucky and it made for gorgeous pictures. Our cocktail hour was great, right after the ceremony our bridal attendant, MaryLou, took us into the bridal suite and kicked everyone else out (nicely, of course) and got us champagne and drinks and all kinds of food. She said take 15 minutes and enjoy this moment together because it's going to go fast. It sure did! I highly recommend doing this because my husband and I got a moment alone together to enjoy just getting married! Then we were able to join in cocktail hour and mingle with everyone so we wouldn't have to go table to table during the reception. By the way, this was possible because we did a reveal. The entire planning process we worked with Christine, banquet sales. She ended up leaving and we then worked with Penny. I was nervous at first because it was a different person, but she was so great to us and really addressed every need/want/concern with ease. Reviewed on 19-11-2019

The package deal was so affordable and all the vendors that were part of the package were top notch! One of the great things about this venue is everything is right there. The hotel rooms were down the hall from the cocktail hour and reception space. The salon is downstairs and they did an excellent job with my bridal party and I's hair and make-up. The outdoor space where our ceremony took place was absolutely gorgeous. Our maitre'd Kathleen was thorough at our meeting/rehearsal and put us at as ease so all we had to think about was enjoying our wedding. She made sure everything was executed perfectly. Mary Lou our bridal attendant was so sweet, helpful and attentive. We really appreciated her suggestion of going up to the bridal suite at the beginning of the cocktail hour so my husband and I could have a private moment to ourselves after the ceremony. We also loved that Kathleen brought us in to the reception room to see it before everyone began to enter. The food at both the cocktail hour and reception were amazing. John Dolan(groom)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-11-2019 I had attended several events at East Wind over the years, and always had a good experience. So when it came time to hold an event, I decided to book at East Wind. I was quite surprised to learn that on 3/4/18, there had been a 'brawl', or 'melee' between 2 separate parties at East Wind, in which the police had to come. According to the news reports, 'arrests were made, and injuries were sustained'. One of the articles covering it can be found here;http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/03/05/new-york-firefighters-arrested-following-massive-wedding-brawl-that-left-groom-2-cops-injured.html(for more articles, search 'East Wind Brawl')For reasons that are quite obvious, this gave me pause.Completely apart from the above alarming information, and quite unfortunately, circumstances developed that are beyond my control, and that are personal in nature, which made it necessary for me to cancel the event. I had made a deposit of $2400 in mid January 2018 for an event to be held at the end of September 2018. I cancelled in March 2018 (more than 6 months before the event was to take place). To date, despite pointing to Suffolk County Caterer's Law which states in section 363-3 B(3) that \"It will be presumed that a caterer who receives notice of cancellation six months or more before the scheduled date of the function will be able to rebook.\" East Wind has refused to refund any of the $2400 deposit. They claim that they have been unable to re-book the date, and therefore the deposit is non-refundable. The law can be found here;https://ecode360.com/14944735And so, finally I had to file a complaint with Suffolk County Department of Consumer Affairs. The investigation is currently pending. My advice is that if you plan on booking at East Wind, please familiarize yourself with the law that governs caterers in Suffolk County, and read the contract before you sign. This way, if you end up in my position, you will be better prepared to fight for what is right. Don’t count on East Wind doing what is right without a fight. Reviewed on 13-09-2018

Jaimee Thampan(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-05-2018 East wind review The East Wind was our number one choice when it came to selecting a venue for our wedding, from its beautiful landscape to its exceptional catering. We had heard about such great things about the venue and wanted to really recommend this venue for our friends and families as we have many weddings coming up; however, our experience with our banquet manager, Michele, was not the most pleasant experience. With so many things on our plate as it is, the journey was not smooth with East Wind. You would expect with a large vendor like a reception venue would be on top of their emails and phone calls, but it was not the case in our situation. We would wait days, sometimes even weeks without no phone call or email response. It was kind of absurd that we had to point this out to her before she got the ball rolling again with responding within an appropriate amount of time. With the amount of guests we were bringing to the venue for the wedding, it was ridiculous how much we had to squeeze out of Michele- almost as if she was doing us a favor. But it’s not every day you have a 600 count wedding. When it came close to the wedding, of course Michele pushed us to get things done by a particular deadline and respond to HER emails, but when it came to her doing the same for us, it was a struggle. In addition, she was pressuring us to give a tip to the maitre’ d and the bridal attendant BEFORE the actual event. I’m sorry, but as far as I know, tips are generally given at the end of an event/service. We also got plenty of other input as to what other reception halls do in regards to tip and the most proper and professional way is give the tip at the end of the service. We denied that forceful attempt to pressure us into giving a tip prior to the wedding after Michele pushed us several times to do so. We never felt like the bride and groom and if we asked a question more than once she would say, “I feel like i have to repeat myself” but she had no problem repeating the tip to us multiple times. The maitre’d, Kathleen and bridal attendant, Mary Lou; however were great and made us feel special and took great care of us on our special day. The guests loved the main course and cocktail hour food, but the plates at cocktail hour would not be replenished quickly so guests were waiting a long time to get food. Our fathers had to go speak with the head attendant for the day and made sure guests were fed. They shouldn’t have had to do that at all, considering this was a reputable location. Lastly, maybe it was the salad we chose as part of the dinner courses, but they skimped out on the salad and basically put a bunch of spinach leaves on the plate and hardly any other ingredients/garnish except some pieces of tomato. As much as I appreciated and loved many aspects of our wedding, I wish we had another banquet manager that would’ve made the journey a lot smoother for us. Reviewed on 19-06-2018

Ciara Larkin(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-06-2018 I feel the need to share my story with everyone here, because things happen in life, engagements break off unexpectedly, and while I sincerely hope this is the happiest time in all of your lives, you should be aware of what can possibly happen if you end up having to cancel your wedding. When my ex-fiance and I were together, we booked our wedding at the Estate at East Wind for June 8th, 2018. In November, nearly seven months prior to the wedding date, we decided to end our engagement. I immediately contacted the East Wind’s catering director, Michele Testa, to notify her of our decision. She sent us a form to release the date, which we both signed and promptly returned to her. East Wind had us on a payment plan. At the time of our cancellation, we had already paid them $17,000. I have an email from Michele in which she wrote that East Wind abides by the Suffolk County Caterers’ Law, which states the following: \"It will be presumed that a caterer who receives notice of cancellation six months or more before the scheduled date of the function will be able to rebook.\" However, when it came time for us to actually get our refund, her tune changed. In the weeks that followed, I went back and forth with her several times. I have a string of emails with her from late December, notifying me that our paperwork was given to the accounting department and that we should receive our refund in approximately three weeks. The refund never came. After receiving the runaround in the weeks that followed, we finally decided to get an attorney involved. When he contacted Michele himself, he was verbally advised by her that a refund would be processed and sent to us within two weeks within early February. Again, nothing came. When my attorney called to follow up on our lack of receipt of the refund, Michele advised him that she had since transferred our information to their attorney, and that he needed to speak to him directly from that point forward. It is now May, and the East Wind is still refusing to refund us, after they had told us a check would be in the mail. There have been conversations back and forth between our attorney and theirs, with no productive results. What they’re doing is infuriating, cruel, and frustrating, and I strongly warn anyone who has booked or is considering booking their wedding there - stay away. Reviewed on 16-05-2018

Jackie Combs(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-04-2017 Our wedding was an absolute WOW factor for many of our guests. We had the best experience with East Wind for our wedding in the Estate. Although we had a few bumps in the road everything was worked out wth ease between Penny our marketing contact and Scott our Estate Maitre D. We were able to come in early the day before to set up the estate to the way I wanted to to look and they were flexible with my crazy ideas I had worked out (disco ball, escort card arch way etc). We had a wonderful experience from staying at the hotel the night before, to take pictures before cocktail hour, and to the entire reception. We could not have imagined a better location for our reception. Reviewed on 07-07-2017
lisa koulis(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-04-2017 This is a difficult review to write because there are pros and cons. Cons: I\"ll start with when I walked into cocktail hour. My guest went up to me and asked why there was the wrong name on the ice luge. Lisa & Danny it said . My dads name is Danny and my ( now ) husband is Dominck !!! I was mortified !!! I feel like if you are spending all this money and our names are on the contracts like the name should be correct. Booking rooms with this place is not easy. No one is friendly and accommodating. Our comped room was a 2 queen size bed suite. When I complained they said we had no other option. I had made up guest bags for all of my guests with info in them for the day after brunch. Upon going to the front desk and asking why everyone did not receive one . The girl had no answer for me. I asked how many were left and there was over 10 bags that were not given out! I spend all that money and time putting them together and half my guest did not receive one and did not know about my day after brunch . I complained and the response was not helpful at no point did they say oh well come back we will give you a compted stay NOTHING ! Pros: My banquet manager was Faith . She is so sweet and easy to work with . Very accommodating and reliable ! My maitre'd was Scott also was excellent. Paid attention to all the details I requested and very pleasant to my guests . I forget my bridal attendants names but she was also excellent no complaints there. Food was amazing ! Reviewed on 13-06-2017
Robyn Smith(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-05-2017 I can't even begin to tell you how pleased we were with our wedding at The Estate. Our Bridal attendant was Diane and she was so amazing and accommodating! Our Maitre D was Suzanne and I loved her from the moment I had our first meeting. It was raining and our ceremony was outside and they both helped make our day so special and amazing. It all worked out perfectly and I'm SO happy that we got married at the most amazing venue. The Estate was so beautiful and everything was so perfect. The food was amazing, service was amazing and I would highly recommend getting married at East Wind!! The grounds are so beautiful for pictures. We booked our wedding with Faith who was so awesome but she sadly moved on and then we met Melissa was so awesome too! Our hotel information was all taken care of with Lauren and everyone was so accommodating from the moment we booked the wedding! I cant say enough great things about the whole place. I'm so thankful for the staff there and am blessed that we had the greatest wedding day of our lives! Reviewed on 12-06-2017
Matt Frenchman(groom)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-07-2018 I wish there was a 0 star option, giving 1 star seems pointless as it gives this venue 1 more star than it should ever get, especially on professionalism. My wife and I had a great wedding but the memories will forever be tainted knowing that we were hit with a bill a month after the wedding due to a billing error on eastwinds part. When I spoke with the executive about the issue I stated that since the wedding had happened a month prior it seemed like it wasn't my fault since I had a paid in full receipt. They said no it was my fault and then proceeded to yell at me over the phone as if I was a 5 year old who had just written on the wall. I asked the woman to be respectful and speak to me and not at me. She said do the right thing and pay us what we are due and hung up. After a day or two I received emails from eastwind saying that I need to pay up and \"do the right thing\" trying to imply that I was in the wrong. After a year and a half of them being rude and disrespectful this issue has been put to rest but not before memories of our dream wedding were tainted with greedy behaviors and actions by a company that has no moral backbone and no professionalism at all. I have spoken with many people from the wedding about this issue and we will never allow anyone to ever have their event at eastwind in the future. I know they will try to spin this post and say they heard great reviews before the incident and all that B.S. But to be honest it is all a lie. They have never once contacted anyone from my wedding nor has anyone from my wedding ever returned. All they have done is put greed in front of responsibility for the last 18 months and they have showed what it means to be a classless, greedy company with no heart or morality. I find this sad because as I stated in the beginning, my wedding was great up until the month after the wedding. Luckily for me I have an amazing wife, friends and family and we will never give a positive review to a place like eastwind. Reviewed on 30-05-2017
Mindy Boyd(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-05-2017 Our wedding ceremony and reception was at the cottage. We had an amazing experience with our wedding planner Michelle our Matre D, Kathleen and our bridal attendant Judy. These ladies made our wedding run smooth with zero issues. Michelle took our wedding planning over a couple of months after we booked East Wind and the transition was smooth and she was amazing. Things happen and people leave especially when you are planning a wedding for over a year but even with the wedding planner change it was smooth and easy!! I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding and highly recommend East Wind! I had my hair and makeup done at their salon along with my entire bridal party and we also had our reversal dinner with 32 people at the restaurant on site at Desmonds. We stayed 2 nights in one of their sweets which made a great set up for photos. 5++ stars from me for every service we had at East Wind! Reviewed on 28-05-2017
Samantha Frenchman(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-03-2016 If I could give zero stars I would. I'm going to start out by saying that when my (now) husband I are booked with east wind, everything was great! It wasn't until the planning started that everything went to sh*t. When my husband and I were booking they told us that they would include a farewell station at the end of the wedding. they failed to mention that I would be losing one of my cocktail hour stations. I received an email from Laura saying that we would be down a station unless we pay extra. This was 2 weeks prior to the wedding. How do you tell a bride 2 weeks before her wedding that the menu agreed upon is no longer valid and that its going to cost me extra money?? I found that to be so tasteless and horrible customer service. So I had to shovel out almost $800 for the pasta station (that should of been included) it gets better..2 weeks prior to the wedding we sat with Laura and she gave us our remaining balance. We gave the check, Laura made a copy and said we were all paid up. Final Balance zero, no credits or refunds. my husband and I were so excited that our wedding was paid off and the wedding was in 2 weeks. Fast-forward 2 weeks after my wedding we received a call from our photographer stating he wasn't paid, he asked if we were a part of the all inclusive package. I told him we were and that I would have my husband call East Wind to figure out why he wasn't paid. My husband called Laura and then she realized that she charged us the wrong amount on our final payment. When my husband spoke with East Wind about this issue they were extremely rude and unprofessional in their approach with him suggesting that he should know more about THEIR contract. When he called about the contract issue, they said to him \"do the right thing and give us the money were asking for\". No conversation, no discussion, treating him like a misbehaving 2 year old. What kind of venue treats the customer like that?? It was my understanding that East Wind should be aware of the contract that THEY fill out. we signed the contract 2 years ago, I didn't know that I needed to bring the contract with me every time I made a payment How do you tell someone they owe you money A. after the wedding. B. over a month from when my final payment was given. What's the point of giving someone a final receipt stating that they owe you $0 and no credits or refunds will be given. So if I overpaid you I would be SOL? that doesn't seem to make sense or be fair.. Thank you East Wind for making my wedding memories a complete nightmare. I really hope that the $3,000 was worth it. East Wind is literally a nightmare to deal with. I will never refer anyone to have their wedding there. If you want your planning to go smooth with no headaches I strongly suggest giving your business and wedding day to another venue that isn't East Wind. Reviewed on 24-05-2017
Lawrence Michno(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-06-2018 I would like to change my original review and just say that in the end they worked with us and were very understanding! Michele was very polite and professional as well as the rest of the staff! Diana Egielski(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-05-2016 This is a somewhat difficult review to write, as there are really two separate reviews. The first part is the day of - My wedding at the Estate was absolutely beautiful! It was my dream wedding come to life. The Maitre D, Scott, made sure everything flowed seamlessly, and he and the bridal attendant, Bruna, saved my butt on multiple occasions, from red wine spilling on my gown to my bustle collapsing due to everyone stepping on my dress, they saved everything, you would never even know there was a problem! The grounds at East Wind are gorgeous, and the Estate is a beautiful building. People are still raving about what a great time they had! You would not have known there was a single hitch thanks to the team working that day!Despite my beautiful day, working with East Wind to plan my wedding was, in short, an absolute nightmare. After booking with them, I was out of sight, out of mind. I was not reached out to unless there was a payment due. If I had questions, often questions my other vendors needed to know, it would be several days before I would hear back with a one-line, greetingless response, answering only my last question. I would often have to follow up and reiterate the questions I already asked, which made me feel like I was neither being listened to or considered. After 10 months of working with my planner Laura Allison, she sent me proofs for my menu with my first name wrong, and also had no idea what my ceremony theme was. Then she tells me 6 weeks before the wedding that she had found another job and will be leaving. When I asked who would be replacing her, she said \"someone will reach out to me in a few weeks\" This was an unacceptable answer that caused me great undue stress and worry mere weeks before the day! And, despite correcting my name and seeing the corrected proofs when we first went over this, for some reason they kept the incorrect proofs and printed that. The day of my wedding and the wrong name was printed on top of my menu cards. How do you get the bride's first name wrong? Trying to work with the wedding planners was like pulling teeth. It made me feel really low priority and like I didn't matter as a client or a bride. You don't pay a lot of money for your special day to feel like you don't even matter. Reviewed on 27-02-2017
Hannah Siegel(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-06-2016 We got married at The Estate at East Wind in June 2016. We booked exactly a year in advance and the process could not have gone smoother. Compared to other venues we had seen, we were so impressed with how well-manicured the grounds of East Wind were and once we saw the outside ceremony space complete with the magnificent arbor at the Estate, we were sold. We worked with Faith who was absolutely amazing and always available to answer my questions even on her day off. She is such a sweet and calm person and really makes you feel as though she is as excited for your event as you are. We were lucky to have met her. For the day of, Scott was our maitre d and he was unbelievable, so professional and made the day run so smoothly. He fit right in with our bridal party and family and was extremely attentive to our needs. Bruna was my bridal attendant and was also very kind and attentive, making sure I looked perfect before going down the aisle, bustling my dress and bringing me plates of food during the cocktail hour although I was too nervous to eat. Everything at the Estate was impeccable - the rooms and outside area where we got married were absolutely gorgeous and everyone kept raving about how good the food was (and our family knows good food!). It was also perfect having the hotel right next door, as we walked across the parking lot and had our after party at Desmond's, the hotel restaurant, and then everyone stayed at the hotel, which is beautiful and so well-maintained. We got many compliments that we chose the perfect place and that it was the best wedding our guests had ever been to. Thank you to Faith, Scott, Bruna and the entire team at East Wind for making our wedding a dream come true! Reviewed on 24-01-2017
