Eastbank Venue is a modern setting for weddings and other special occasions in downtown Cedar Rapids, IA. The expert staff will do everything they can to ensure that your event is a success. Originally built in 1901, Eastbank Venue seamlessly blends urban elegance with historic charm. For a time, the building was used as a wholesale grocer and then a furniture warehouse. In 2017, the property was renovated to become the customizable lounge, meeting, and event space that it is today. With 14,000 sq. feet available to use, you can host celebrations for as many as 850 guests. The room can easily be configured to fit your needs, whether you want to host a standing cocktail hour or a seated dinner. For speeches and presentations, there is a built-in AV system, projector screens, and automated privacy blinds. The controllable LED color-changing ceiling can add flair to your special day. Partygoers will love the luxurious leather lounge furniture, imported Italian dining chairs, and floor-length linens. The team at Eastbank Venue aims to give you and your loved ones an unforgettable experience. From start to finish- Eastbank was one of the vendors who made our wedding the easiest wedding ever. We loved working with them for all 3: the rental of the space AND floral AND decor. Having Eastbank streamline the entire event and being super flexible and communicative with our day-of-coordinator were all huge wins!

After photographing many weddings here, this is one of my favorite venues in the area! The staff always plays a huge role in making my bride and grooms wedding day a success. Adam has poured his heart into helping wedding couples who get married there. Even ran to buy cake for my last wedding when the cake they had designed didn't show up. If you’re looking for the perfect place to get married - this needs to be on your list!!!

I truly cannot say enough great things about Adam and the staff at Eastbank. We scheduled our reception with Eastbank before moving out of Cedar Rapids, and from the moment we started working with them they were kind, accommodating (to both us and our vendors), fun, and truly cared about my experience. The night of our reception the entire staff was such a pleasure to work with, navigating through our almost 250 guests with smiles on their faces, never missing a beat. Though we were married in Mexico, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to have my entire wedding at Eastbank. I truly couldn't have asked to work with a better group of people and am so grateful to them!

Beautiful venue- extremely classy without having to add a ton of decorations...just a great atmosphere. Adam is very responsive and easy to work with, and consistently collaborated with our decorator, caterer, and DJ to make sure everything went smoothly. The bar is gorgeous, and the bar staff knows what they're doing. Highly recommend!

It's a nice place and the staff is pleasant and helpful, but we found them unreasonable about some charges, especially related to alcohol. The venue cost is high, but they find ways to inflate it substantially through bar charges. As disclosed in their contract, they charge $100 per bartender, but we found that only a portion goes to the bartender. They also charge a gratuity of 22%, which seemed high when I learned that 1) only 18% goes to the bartenders - the rest goes to the house, and 2) they required tip jars on the bar to extract additional gratuity from our guests ater we had already supposedly paid 22%. Decorations: the rental they charge for many of their decorations is extremely high, especially the Edison lights that hang from the ceiling. We found those and other decorations available through wedding decorators for a fraction of Eastbank's cost.

LOVED the venue. It worked perfectly with the theme we had going. They had so many options of napkins, colored lights, set ups, etc. We felt we were able to personalize the space to exactly what we had envisioned. Overall, I couldn't have picked a better place to host our reception at!

We had our wedding, cocktail hour, and reception at Eastbank on 4/28. We were able to break their space up into 3 separate sections using their sliding doors and rented draping for our 80 guest wedding easily. The space is a great blank slate and could be easily decorated to meet anyones vision. Also the staff was amazing to work with before and during our event. They were quick to react to any minor issue that may pop up, and they were very attentive to me as the Bride. The staff was also very welcoming of our guests and treated us great throughout the day. I'm very happy we picked to have our special day at Eastbank!

We recently had our wedding at Eastbank. We loved the facility. It is very contemporary and you don't have to do a lot to make it look beautiful. The bartending staff was amazing! We had our reception and ceremony at Eastbank. The ceremony went great and the staff had the chairs and tables set up for us. But, we were not happy that they say they have many floor plans available because we had to move all chairs and a few tables around ourselves after the ceremony to get ready for our reception. It would have been an extra cost for them to do that themselves. Also, we had many family members leave early because the heat went out at the reception and how we know that is because cold air was blasting out of the vents from the floor. After expressing our frustrations, we found out that Eastbank does not have great customer service. We feel like they did not respect us or want to give us the time of day to make things right or apologize to us. We will not recommend or use this facility in the future due to the lack of concern from the staff.

My fiancé and I recently went to a friends reception here. It was beautiful! Elegant, chic, and sophisticated. And there was plenty of room for the many attendees. The bar area was classy. Overall, this was a great venue.
