Absolutely perfect! We chose Eighteen Ninety because the venue had all that we needed for our entire day, from getting ready, outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour and a beautiful indoor reception space.The victorian house is beautiful, and has a vintage charm. The men had a separate space with a pool table & tv and room to get ready. My fiancĂ© and I were trying to plan our KC wedding from Seattle & 1890 covered all our bases without making us rent tables chairs linens. We loved having multiple spaces for guests to enjoy the wedding. It hailed and rained on our wedding day & Grace made sure we had a game plan if it didnât stop. We ultimately had the opportunity to get married outside. The staff quickly cleaned up the chairs, removed all the leaves. The space was perfect but even if we wouldâve had it indoors it wouldâve been beautiful. It was a great option for older guests to be able to walk a few feet to each location rather than needing to shuttle or drive between venue spaces. My favorite new addition is their beautiful barn bar. The bar is separate from the indoor space and allowed for the less rowdy guests to sit down away from loud music while we got rowdy inside.Their service and team were always accessible, understanding and INCREDIBLY helpful. The team also worked with me by scheduling video calls since I was an out-of-town bride. Grace was communicative and incredibly helpful while making decisions.I loved every moment of my wedding and I am so grateful to have worked with the 1890 team to have had the perfect day.

Absolutely perfect! Paula and Grace with 1890 were absolutely AMAZING!!!!!! They took our dream and made it a reality! They took so much stress off of us with the wedding planning, and I never doubted they would do it effortlessly!! They stayed throughout the event to make sure everything went off without a hitch. I ended up having a dress emergency with my bustle, and Paula was always right there to help me and find a solution. They truly think of and plan for everything that could happen and are prepared to fix it, things I never even thought of as a bride. 1890 was truly our dream venue. We couldnât have asked for anything better. From having our rehearsal there the night before and staying the night to having the best reception. Paula and the staff were amazing to work with and so accommodating! I would highly recommend having your wedding at 1890.

I attended a Wedding here in October and absolutely LOVED this venue. I could not imagine a more dreamy and elegant venue. I can only imagine having my wedding here one day. The staff made the whole day run so smoothly and I was shocked at how helpful they were the entire time. The whole setup of this venue made for smooth transitions, and their new cocktail barn was absolutely stunning! I also talked to the bride who went on and on about how much stress the staff took off of her back when it came to set-up and clean-up. A 10/10 venue for anyone looking to plan a wedding!

If you are looking for an incredible wedding venue in Kansas City or just event space in general, you need not look any further than 1890. My wife and I were married there earlier this year and we just can't get over how beautiful the property is. We knew it was where we wanted to say our vows the moment we saw it. Couple the beauty with the remarkable staff who basically handled everything so well we could focus on family, friends, and ceremony, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend 1890 to anyone within 100 miles of Kansas City!

If you are looking for an incredible wedding venue in Kansas City or just event space in general, you need not look any further than 1890. My wife and I were married there earlier this year and we just can't get over how beautiful the property is. We knew it was where we wanted to say our vows the moment we saw it. Couple the beauty with the remarkable staff who basically handled everything so well we could focus on family, friends, and ceremony, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend 1890 to anyone within 100 miles of Kansas City!

The Fields 1890 is a beautiful venue! It has a very personal feel as the owner is very hands-on which I appreciate. They did a beautiful job decorating for our big day as well and were very accommodating. there are a lot of requirements that come with booking which they are upfront about. I wish there were less requirements so we could have stayed on budget but these requirements made our wedding more elegant. It really depends on your preference budget or beauty! One of the requirements is using their bartender. unfortunately, I didnât have the best experience with them as they did not communicate very well with me leading up to the wedding. After finally finalizing everything with them, we were under the impression that we would be sent a bill for our portion of the bar tab which included drink tickets we handed out to the guests for a drink on us but unfortunately they made our family pay it in full before leaving the wedding. The bartender otherwise did a great job taking care of everybody, but I didnât care for how that was handled. To expect the bride and groom to settle up with the bartender before we leave our wedding is completely unrealistic and unreasonable especially when this expectation is not communicated. Most brides do not have their wallet on them.

Eighteen Ninety will have such a special place in my heart. As a bride who was frustrated with the oversaturation of barn venues in KC, this place was a fresh breath of air. The venue is so beautiful and much prettier in person, if that's even possible. The 1890 Victorian house alone is amazing, I wish I could live there. The best part was being able to stay overnight in the house before the wedding. Waking up and going out on the deck that overlooks the ceremony site, it was literally every girls dream. The reception space next to the 1890 house is also so beautiful! We had roughly 200 guests, plus catering & venue staff running around and it didn't feel crowded the whole night. The two sided fireplace and gorgeous chandeliers give off such a romantic and timeless vibe. There are even built in speakers the DJ used. This made for some great acoustics without it echoing throughout the space which the groom was very particular about. The owner, Paula was such a delight to work with. She is so sweet, accommodating and personable. Her staff was also very exceptional on the day of the rehearsal and the wedding day itself. We had our rehearsal dinner inside the 1890 house, where the staff set up tables and chairs and broke them down when we were finished. On the day of the wedding, I saw so many people working tirelessly to make everything run smooth as butter. Paula and her staff was so gracious, even when we stood with our decision on having the ceremony outdoors in 35 degree Missouri weather. Having a venue and staff who was willing to do anything to make the Bride & Groom's day perfect was more than we could ever ask for. Having that type dedication from everyone made it so easy to sit back and enjoy the day. I could go on and on about 1890. Book the venue, you won't be disappointed!

I remember requesting for some venue information and never heard from her so I went straight to Paula instead.Overall our wedding day went smoothly and beautifully. The venue proved to be perfect for us. This was the wedding of my youngest child and our fourth wedding. It was an unseasonably warm day. We were able to have the wedding outside thanks to a breeze and location. We could then move into a well temperature controlled and beautifully decorated venue. The house was great for getting ready and pictures. We had a number of older siblings with children who slept at the house the night of the wedding. We were able to get sitters and put the grandkids at the house when it got late. They could all play together and go to sleep. This allowed all of my children and their spouses to fully enjoy the wedding (a difficult thing to achieve with young children in tow). Paula was very responsive and helpful.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at 1890 The Fields. It was absolutely stunning. It was the perfect vision I had been searching for my wedding! It had everything you needed and more. The scenery was just everything to me but even more so the owner Paula was the most amazing woman to work with from the very beginning to the very end for my wedding. She goes out of her way to make your day so special, perfect and stress free but also very exciting. Not once did she let me down in any way and she said made me feel so excited, happy and calm but I also felt like I had known her for years !! She is very comforting and sweet and just absolutely wonderful to work with! I couldnât have asked for anything more perfect than her. From the venue itself and all the little details that made even the bigger ones this venue and Paula were top notch and beyond impressive. If you want perfection 1890 and Paula are it! Thank you for making my dream and vision come to life! I will remember and cherish it all for the rest of my life!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at 1890 The Fields. It was absolutely stunning. It was the perfect vision I had been searching for my wedding! It had everything you needed and more. The scenery was just everything to me but even more so the owner Paula was the most amazing woman to work with from the very beginning to the very end for my wedding. She goes out of her way to make your day so special, perfect and stress free but also very exciting. Not once did she let me down in any way and she said made me feel so excited, happy and calm but I also felt like I had known her for years !! She is very comforting and sweet and just absolutely wonderful to work with! I couldnât have asked for anything more perfect than her. From the venue itself and all the little details that made even the bigger ones this venue and Paula were top notch and beyond impressive. If you want perfection 1890 and Paula are it! Thank you for making my dream and vision come to life! I will remember and cherish it all for the rest of my life!

This venue is so lovely. The outdoor wedding ceremony area is perfect. The Fields building is great for a smaller group that wants a wedding a bit less formal. Katie was good to work with. Also enjoyed meeting Paula, who owes it. They were all so helpful on the day of the wedding. It went smoothly without any issues on the part of the venue. You can go and relax.

This venue is so lovely. The outdoor wedding ceremony area is perfect. The Fields building is great for a smaller group that wants a wedding a bit less formal. Katie was good to work with. 1890 was the most perfect we could have chosen for our November 2021 Wedding. Katie was so helpful during the entire wedding planning process, and was there the day of to make sure everything went off without a hitch.In addition to being an absolutely beautiful ceremony and reception venue, the staff at 1890 made this the most perfect choice for our wedding. They took care of everything- chairs, set-up, tear down, and were prepared to take care of a possible site flip (into the reception hall) for the ceremony if needed. All we had to do was a decorate and enjoy the day. My bridesmaids and I opted to rent the 1890 house the night before and get ready there the morning of, and I highly recommend this to any bride if they are able to do this as well!One thing that I initially was not totally thrilled about was the requirement to use Brancato's catering for all Saturday weddings at 1890. At first I was a bit disappointed in not being able to choose my own caterer. However, the staff at Brancato's was amazing as well, and everyone knew the kitchen and setup processes perfectly. During our reception, I was relieved to have such an experienced catering staff who made sure everything went smoothly. And the food was great! I would choose 1890 again and again, and recommend it to anyone!

We loved every aspect of this venue for our wedding day. From the beautiful Victorian home that served as the bridal suite, to the gorgeous outdoor arbor and ceremony area, to the reception hall, there is not a better venue out there. We received so many compliments from our guests on how the grounds were one of the most beautiful they have seen for a wedding. The day was also made spectacular by the staff at 1890. They always were able to answer our questions expeditiously, and be able to provide all of the onsite support to make the planning period along with the wedding day so smooth. We are so thankful that we chose this venue for our big day. Would recommend to anyone!!

Stunning venue with incredible service! We chose Eighteen Ninety because the venue was a one-stop shop for our entire day, from getting ready to the reception, and each space was amazing on its own. The victorian house is sooo beautiful with unmatched charm and it has ample getting ready space for the ladies. The dudes aren't left out; they had an awesome groom's quarters where they played pool and Mario Kart. No other venue we toured provided the same level of space to get ready, on top of the other spaces included. It was important to me to have an outdoor ceremony space, and I love Eighteen Ninety's, with an aisle leading from the house to the arbor. The elegant reception hall is just a hop, skip, and jump away from the ceremony space, making a great backup plan in case of poor weather. We love how no one had to shuttle around to different locations between photo spots, ceremony, and reception. Regarding the beauty of their venue, I mean the photos speak for themselves.Their service and team are top-notch. When we chose to postpone, I dreaded reaching out to my vendors about rescheduling. Eighteen Ninety completely understood and made it easy. I was very lucky in that I managed to keep all my vendors for our rescheduled date. The team also worked with me in scheduling on-site meetings and video calls since I was an out-of-town bride. Katie was communicative and patient with me as a made decisions. Our guest count was less than expected given a recent spike in COVID cases, and Katie worked with me to edit the floor plan last minute. Weddings are their bread and butter and it shows with the team's knowledge and expertise. They are not wedding planners nor day-of coordinators, but at the same time, they are there to help and assist.

Eighteen Ninety is the best venue in the KC metro if youâre looking for a venue that has it ALL. I researched almost 30 venues and the second I toured 1890, I knew I had to get married there. They have a huge bridal house that allow for beautiful pictures, a separate groomâs suite thatâs fun for the guys, an outdoor AND indoor space, and an AMAZING team. As a Type A bride, I had so many questions and needed a lot of flexibility from 1890 because of covid-19, and they were so fabulous to work with! They were so accommodating and sweet to me as I stressed so much about having to change our date. You can tell Paula really loves her venue and her brides even more, and Katie was super helpful in making sure all the details were recorded and taken care of. The indoor venue hall is beautifully modern and traditional at the same time, allowing flexibility for your vision. I love all their details - the decorated bar, the fireplace in the wall, the back patio for smokers and a fireplace out there, the outdoor bar thatâs perfect for an outdoor cocktail hour - nothing else has blown me away more than 1890. I still have people (almost 6 months after my wedding!) who tell me how amazing my venue was and how much they love it. I donât regret a SINGLE thing about booking 1890 for the best day of my life, and I will sing their praises forever! If youâre on the fence, book a tour. I PROMISE you will not regret it!

This review is long overdue but so worth mentioning why Eighteen-Ninety needs to be your venue. We chose The Fields at 1890 because it was the perfect combo of elegance and simplicity. I didn't want a country wedding, but I also didn't want an \"over the top\" venue either. This fit so well with our guests - black tie or jeans - we had the whole shebang. Booking and touring the location was a breeze. The crew is so transparent, accommodating, and insightful about how to make your planning process and wedding day seamless from the start. All along the way, they were there to answer our questions, coordinate with vendors, and take as much off of our plate as possible. They are truly incredible and professional with every detail. When it came to wedding day, we didn't have to lift a finger. Set-up was a breeze (they were helpful with that), and wedding day details fell perfectly into place like magic. When the rain came and moved us inside - there was NO hesitation with rearranging our guests indoors ; it made for the most elegant and intimate ceremony. Our vendors were beyond pleased to work with the 1890 crew, my family was so appreciative of how much they did for us throughout the entire process, and my husband and I were overjoyed with how perfect our day was because of this venue. The Fields is quiet, private, and extremely intimate. Our guests still to this day have so many wonderful things to say about the venue. Multiple options for set up indoors and out - and an endless amount of photo opportunities around the property. The groom and bridal suites are the perfect area for relaxing and getting ready and make for a quaint place to relax before the big day! Paula and her husband are outstanding owners. They are wonderful to any and all who inquire. Definitely worth the investment - it has gone far beyond our wedding day and we are so pleased. I would recommend this venue 100x over.

While looking for a venue, my now husband and I made a pact that we would complete the entire tour before telling each other our opinions so we wouldn't taint the other's vision. After stepping foot at The Fields, we ruined that pact by looking at each other half way through the tour and nodding yes. Before the left that day, we asked for the contract to sign. It was the perfect mix of already decorated and neutral slate to add in your own touches. We could have done nothing to the space and it would have been perfect. The farmhouse tables are a rarity at most venue which saves on linens, but they do require a Day of Coordinator (we had already budgeted for one). This is necessary due to the fact that there are two venues at the property so the managing staff is between two weddings. Although there are two venues and many times two weddings happening at the same time, they are very separate and it doesn't interfere with your day. I cannot imagine being married anywhere else. Thank you for the perfect day!

The house, the venue, the grounds, everything! 1890 was the first venue we were scheduled to tour and ended up being the only venue we toured, we ended up calling and booking with them on our way home. When we had to postpone, Paula and her team went above and beyond to help us find a new date. Because we postponed to a Friday, the bridal party was able to stay in the house the night before the wedding, which was such a blast! The house was such a great place to get ready in and made for beautiful pictures. The dance floor was huge, which was perfect for our guests. The grounds are gorgeous and have some of the most perfect areas for sunset pictures! Thank you 1890 for such a beautiful wedding!!

LOVE! THE BEST VENUE and TEAM! I seriously cannot say enough great things about Eighteen Ninety! The space is absolutely stunning! I always wanted to get married outside with a beautiful arbor and back drop (but a backup indoor plan-weather permitting) and have an indoor reception with simple elegance that would also accommodate our original guest count pre-covid of 275. The reception hall is GORGEOUS with beautiful chandeliers that donât need a whole lot of decor but you can put your own spin on! So many guests commented on the beauty of the venue! The greenery, fields, white fences, Victorian house, red barn, brick cocktail area, gravel road and reception hall all make for amazing pictures. Paula, the owner, and her staff are absolutely amazing! We had to reschedule our wedding that was supposed to be in May due to covid-19. That day was still special to us and we wanted to get married not knowing if our rescheduled date was going to happen amidst the ongoing pandemic. Paula was gracious enough to let us use the venue on our original date to have our pastor marry us with a close group of friends! She seriously went above and beyond to accommodate us and I am forever grateful! Sweetest person ever! Then come our rescheduled wedding date, Paula and her staff, Katie and team were in constant communication leading up to our day and dealt with my mini panic attacks in regards to cutting our guest count and final details! They catered to my high maintenance requests of chairs spaced, vendors in masks, provided hand sanitizer and stunning gold canisters to put at each table for guests to help social distance and stay germ free! Her team helped the day go by so smoothly! The boys LOVED the grooms house where they enjoyed playing pool and kicking back with some drinks. The Victorian house is where us girls got ready and had plenty of rooms and lighting for great pictures! We couldnât have asked for a better venue and team for our big day! I highly recommend Eighteen Ninety for your special day! Such a stunning venue and a rockstar team who truly care about you and making your day perfect!

It is not a secret that Eighteen Ninety is pure magic; I mean, look at it! Pristine, spacious, elegant with a historical touch. The draw to it's beauty is undeniable! What is equally as impressive is the team that comes along with it. I, too, am in the wedding industry and reside in St. Louis so my parents toured the venue for me... and could not stop raving about the space and the team! I booked the next day. It is not a secret that Eighteen Ninety is pure magic; I mean, look at it! Pristine, spacious, elegant with a historical touch. The draw to it's beauty is undeniable! What is equally as impressive is the team that comes along with it. I, too, am in the wedding industry and reside in St. Louis so my parents toured the venue for me... and could not stop raving about the space and the team! I booked the next day. Getting ready, ceremony, photos, reception and view of the sunset are all right there. It's timeless and has modern traditional vibes that require minimal decorations. We just had our daughter's wedding reception at Eighteen Ninety several weeks ago and we were so thrilled with everything! The venue was everything we had hoped it would be - so charming and elegant in such a beautiful pastoral setting. So many of our guests told us how much they loved the venue and how gorgeous they thought it was.And the beautifully restored Victorian home for the bridesmaids and remodeled red barn for the groomsmen were the perfect places for the bridal party to be able to relax and have fun while getting ready. Susan and Bonnie were so helpful in every way, making sure everything ran perfectly despite the record breaking heat we had! We were all so happy we chose Eighteen Ninety for our venue - it helped us create the wedding of our daughter's dream!

Our guests could not stop talking about how gorgeous the venue was.Chelsea hands down made sure everything went smoothly. They had an option to add on planning services which we did. I think doing this just made our experience more stress free. Chelsea not only was very attentive to the wedding party but also the guests. It was a very hot day and she suggested ways to make the guests feel more comfortable. We live about 3 hours away from the venue and I forgot a couple key things for the wedding and she was able to help us. She is a lifesaver! She made sure everything flowed perfectly and everyone was comfortable. Chelsea was very professional and delightful to work with. Definitely an excellent wedding planner! I can not say enough good things about our experience at the venue and working with Chelsea. The grounds are exquisite and the staff is very professional prompt.I definitely would recommend this venue.

Eighteen Ninety has the outdoor ceremony space that captures all the natural beauty desired for an outdoor wedding and an equally elegant and open reception all on site. I was sold on this venue the first moment I saw it, which was in the winter and not the spring/summer when my wedding was planned. Chelsea was very flexible and very easy to work with. She made sure we had all the information we needed and that our timeline was correct. The main house or âbridal houseâ was an open and beautiful space and relax and get ready in. The front room has ample natural light for hair and makeup to be completed. So many venueâs only have a small room in the corner to get ready in, but at Eighteen Ninety, you and your bridal party have the entire two-story house to spread out in. The groomâs suite was located next to the reception hall and provided a place for the guys to hang out, play pool, and games as well as be easily accessible to help set up the reception hall if needed. The day of the wedding Susan was there to help coordinate. She did an excellent job of being there for any help we needed but also allowing us to have space and the ability to do what we needed to do to prepare for the afternoon. I cannot stress enough the beauty of this venue and how well a wedding flows through the space and how everyone who works there was extremely helpful and has your wedding day in mind. The whole venue has such a natural base to it that you can dress it up and make it as fancy as youâd like or make it as rustic as youâd like. Almost any style could be executed at Eighteen Ninety which makes it one of the best venues (the best in my opinion) in Kansas City.

I had the most magical wedding day and I know it's because I chose to have it at 1890. First off, everything about this venue is GORGEOUS. The reception venue, the outdoor ceremony site, the house with the bridal suite, the groom's quarters, everything. Everything on the site is perfect and pristine, the most beautiful setting for a wedding. We ended up having our ceremony inside, and it was absolutely beautiful. We flipped the room for the reception afterwards, and the transition went seamlessly. Point being: this venue is perfect year-round!When we first chose our venue, we were so enchanted with the beauty of the place. Now that our wedding is behind us, we still appreciate the beauty, but we realize that even more important is the quality of service that the venue provides. 1890 is second to none. Chelsea was an absolute dream to work with. She makes the place lovely, but her hand in organizing and running the show is most certainly what made our wedding so wonderful. Chelsea never once shot down an idea, she was always willing to work with us and our vendors to make our vision come to life. She's incredibly organized and knows how to keep all of the behind the scenes planning and execution completely smooth. She thinks of the important details you'd never come up with on your own.We had a last minute change in staff when our wedding coordinator left the company for a new job a month before our wedding date. The company took great care of us, but Chelsea really stepped in to help the transition run smoothly and relieved the stress we felt about changing wedding planners so close to the big day! She truly went above and beyond all expectations.Your wedding venue is SO important in determining your enjoyment of your wedding day. The fact that we could get ready, take photos, and have our ceremony and reception all in once location made our day so relaxed and enjoyable (not to mention easy for guests). The staff here make our dreams a reality right down to every minute detail. I would book this place a thousand times over if I could go back and do it again. Easily the best decision we made.

Our wedding was a dream come true by far and if I could do it over again I would pick Eighteen Ninety a million times. The only reason I am leaving four stars instead of five is just because we had a couple hiccups during the planning process and day of but nothing they weren't able to fix, which was good. Some examples of the hiccups were not responding to emails until 2 weeks after or after sending a followup text making sure they received my email on questions or concerns of mine. Another thing was having to deal with, I think, 3 different coordinators and having to explain myself or ask my questions a couple different times before resolved or answered. Like me adding on a full bar and it not being added to my invoice but was said that was okay so she gave me a complimentary cleaning service for the run around but then finding out all my guests cleaned the reception hall and put the chairs up and the coordinators did not let them know that they didn't need to do that. So then the bartenders had to run out during the wedding and grab the liquor that I wanted to give our guests the full bar. Which I am thankful for instead of just providing beer and wine and refunding the amount. But it would have been nice not to deal with it. But like I said, they were all things that were resolved. Our wedding was a dream come true by far and if I could do it over again I would pick Eighteen Ninety a million times. The only reason I am leaving four stars instead of five is just because we had a couple hiccups during the planning process and day of but nothing they weren't able to fix, which was good. Some examples of the hiccups were not responding to emails until 2 weeks after or after sending a followup text making sure they received my email on questions or concerns of mine. Another thing was having to deal with, I think, 3 different coordinators and having to explain myself or ask my questions a couple different times before resolved or answered. Like me adding on a full bar and it not being added to my invoice but was said that was okay so she gave me a complimentary cleaning service for the run around but then finding out all my guests cleaned the reception hall and put the chairs up and the coordinators did not let them know that they didn't need to do that. I have no idea how to even begin this review, there are no words to describe how incredible this venue is and the staff are!! From start to finish our wedding was so perfect! First of all, I am by far not the most organized person, so the number of emails that Cheslea had to respond to from me was insane, but she was always quick to respond and had all the answers! The day of, the employees were so nice and helpful. They helped set up, helped during the reception, and even helped pass out cake when we realized I hadnât organized that. It was raining off and on before the ceremony, but it cleared up right before so it was perfect, but those amazing employees dried off the chairs and swept the aisle probably 3-5 times without hesitation or complaint. The venue itself is so beautiful, so much extra decor isnât necessary. Our pictures turned out gorgeous.

The 1890 is the most fabulous venue! The staff is awsome and we didn't have to take care of a thing. On the wedding day Shelly even helped me with decorations when I was having difficulty. The house is one like no other, It was the perfect place for my bridesmaids and I to get ready on the wedding day. Where do I even begin with the reception hall? It is absolutely breath taking! From the beautiful vaulted ceiling to the crystal chandeliers, I was swooning over every detail! The property around the venue is perfect for any and every picture. We had so much finding different places to capture this perfect day. Overall, it is just a perfect venue with amazing staff!

My bridesmaids and I also stayed in the house the night before the wedding and got ready on site that morning. The house was so beautiful and comfortably fit all 9 of us. Chelsea is the event coordinator at Eighteen Ninety. She was extremely easy to get a hold of & super helpful. We were able to rent our linens and candles for the reception tables through Eighteen Ninety and everything was perfectly in place when we arrived to start decorating. Every detail that Chelsea said she would take care of us was done for us. I continue to still get compliments on how beautiful the venue was. I could not say enough good things about Eighteen Ninety.

I cannot adequately articulate how much I love this venue, or how thankful I am that we were able to use it for both our ceremony and reception four weeks ago, or how much I appreciate the work that Chelsea put into our day over the course of ten months of planning. When we were looking at venues, Eighteen Ninety was our fifth stop. During the first four tours, I could tell that my now husband was starting to zone out toward the end of each one. At Eighteen Ninety though, I watched him light up differently than he did at any of the other places, which I sang praises for because I was sold from the moment we arrived. It is as stunning as the description of the venue says it is, and it truly does beautifully combine rustic with elegant. We loved that it is laid back, natural, and beautiful without trying too hard (honestly you could decorate nothing and it would still be beautiful). I loved that it felt secluded, private, and open while still being close to the city for friends/family, and it easily has the best bride and groom quarters of any venue we looked at, which makes getting ready there so fun for both parties. Getting married outside was always a dream of mine that I thought was a long shot, but Eighteen Ninety's backup plan soothed my fears regarding weather, and the outdoor ceremony ended up being beautiful. We were able to have an awesome cocktail hour in the outdoor bar area as well, and then moved indoors to the reception hall (also very beautiful), where all 250 of our guests could comfortably fit and no one was excluded off in side rooms. The staff of Eighteen Ninety handled setup of all ceremony chairs and reception tables as well as breakdown and cleanup. Chelsea also served as our unofficial source of all wedding advice and helped provide guidance and advice through our entire planning process, which often involved sorting through oceans of detail from my mom and myself (bless you, Chelsea). She would be reason alone for using this venue, but it also helps that it is truly a unique and beautiful place.

Picture perfect! My wedding day was perfect as this venue was EVERYTHING i ever wanted. The house was so amazing to get ready in and so beautiful for pictures. My husband and his friends LOVED the grooms quarters! The weather was perfect, the flowers, lawn, venue everything perfect! The staff was always friendly and helpful throughout the whole experience!

Absolutely LOVE this venue. It so gorgeous no matter where you look. I worked with Chelsea a majority of the time, but all staff members were very nice and helpful. Chelsea was especially helpful to me from the time we first looked at the venue and throughout the wedding day. She answered any and all of my hundreds of questions throughout in a very timely manner. On the day of the wedding Chelsea was super helpful with getting everything into place and helped make it a stress free day. This is by far the best and prettiest venue I've been to. Great deal for the money. Doesn't take much to decorate as it is already beautiful on its own. Countless guests also commented on how beautiful it is. I do not believe I could have had the perfect wedding day without booking with Eighteen-Ninety Event Space. My bridesmaids and I were able to stay in the house the night before the wedding and we were able to just relax, eat, drink, and talk before our hair and make-up people arrived. We made cinnamon rolls, omelets, cookies, and more! I will say that you will have to bring your own food and your own pans, but that wasnât a problem for us. One thing I do wish is that there had not been tours on the day of my wedding. All of my bridesmaids and I were walking around in pajamas or âgetting readyâ clothing and random people would walk by the house and look in the windows at us. Other than that, the day was perfect. Joanne was there during the day to make sure everything was set up the way we wanted and she had multiple other staff members there with her. We asked them to move the rows of chairs back further and they did it right away with no problems. They gave off the impression that they were willing and happy to do whatever necessary to make sure our day was exactly what we wanted it to be. Joanne would come to the house and make sure everything was okay and came quickly if someone told her I had questions. Most of my questions were about what in the house we actually had to clean up and take care of because we had paid for the cleaning service and signs around the house were talking about what had to be done before you left. She said that we really did not have to worry about anything since we paid for the service. I would strongly suggest paying for the service because it takes a lot of the stress out of the wedding day and the service is actually cheaper than what they would charge you if the venue was not adequately cleaned after you left for the night. Throughout our rehearsal and the night of the wedding, Chelsea made sure she knew the order our wedding party would be introduced and was always available to help us if needed. The venue staff even took down our decorations from the pergola outside to help us even though we were told we would have to take that down ourselves. The staff also collected all of our personal items from the house and put them in a pile so we could quickly pack it up at the end of the night. I was as relaxed and stress free as I think I could have possibly been on my wedding day. The venue is stunning with its formal beauty in the reception hall and its classic slightly country charm in the fields and the old house. The photo opportunities are endless and I cannot wait to get photos back. Eighteen-Ninety allowed my husband and I to have a beautiful, perfect wedding day and we could not be more happy that we chose them for our venue.

Just had our wedding here and I cannot sing enough praises for Joann and especially Chelsea! I didn't have to worry about even a single thing the day before (when we set up) or the day of. They let us come up to the venue a few times before the big day to scout out the space, and welcomed my dad and I to practice our Father Daughter dance. The grounds are lovely and even through the rain on our wedding day went off without a hitch. We expected a little rain for April, and I can't believe how well planned their Rain Plan was. Everything got moved inside, and I think it was even prettier with the fireplace. Our friends and family are STILL talking about how pretty the venue was. You straight up don't need to decorate much at all! Also, the guys LOVED the grooms quarters and we gals think having the house all to ourselves to get ready really made the morning. The getting ready quarters are pry the best part of 1890's package, IMO. If you're on the fence, have your wedding here!

The moment I stepped into the house at 1890, I looked at my fiancé, now hubby :) and said \"Sold\". This was our first and only location that we looked at to be the place we would get married. We were married October 28th. End of fall and a little nervous about the weather and if trees would be bare, but EVERYTHING was incredibly beautiful! I honestly would recommend this venue to any of my closest family and friends! Joanne is incredible. She is just so sweet and incredibly helpful. If you want to have an incredibly memorable, beautiful, and romantic wedding... this is your place. Oh wait, did I mention the new \"Hall\" that was built... so tack on to that memorable, beautiful, romantic, elegant, sparkling, cozy by the fire, perfect sized dance floor,... I honestly could go on and on and on :)

Everything about Eighteen Ninety is absolutely perfect. Our wedding day could not have been more beautiful or gone more smoothly! Joanne and her staff are top notch, start to finish. Not only do they have a gorgeous and unique property, they are incredibly professional, responsive, caring and warm. It felt like they were just as excited for and invested in our day as we were from the first visit! Truly recommend everything about this venue, especially Joanne--she's a gem!! As a wedding coordinator, I absolutely loved working with 1890 Event Space. Joanne was very open to working with my partner and I to make sure our client had the wedding they wanted. The space is excellent for a wedding with the gorgeous bridal suite, outdoor ceremony space, outdoor cocktail space, and the gorgeous, gorgeous reception hall! It's perfect for any type of wedding theme and color palette. We will absolutely recommend 1890 to our clients and can't wait to work there again in the future!

Erica and Joanne went above and beyond what was expected and everything was absolutely beautiful. They made sure that everything was taken care of and helped with any last minute tasks. Beautiful, perfect, amazing, and everything I could've dreamt of. Things I LOVED: 1) The fact that my husband and I could both get ready on site, in separate quarters; get married there, have our cocktail hour there, our reception there, and my husband and I plus some members of our wedding party could stay there. (Think about all those separate expenses when comparing 1890 and other venders) 2)The ceremony site was beautiful right outside the house, we didn't need much decoration to make the space look beautiful. 3) Cocktail hour is in a separate space, still outside, with cocktail tables, and space heaters if needed. 4) We were the first wedding in the new reception hall and it was AMAZING!!! I could write an entire review about just how much I (and all of my guests) loved that hall. It was so beautiful. The chandeliers were beautiful. There is a beautiful fire place behind where we had our head table. A good size dance floor in the middle of the space. The building itself looks beautiful on the property as a whole. Several guests commented to my husband, myself, and our parents on how beautiful the entire property is but especially the reception hall. 5) We were given time to put our things in the reception hall the day before before our wedding before the rehearsal. We had plenty of time on the property the day of to get ready and stay afterwords. 6) We worked with Joanne and Ericka. They were both wonderful! I would email Joanne with a question about vender suggestions, or details about the site and she would always email back promptly and with great suggestions, answers, and help. 7) We fell in love with 1890 the first time we visited. What helped make us feel comfortable (besides all the great things I have mentioned all ready) was the fact that the contract and the rules were really straightforward and there were no strange rules regarding clean up, or alcohol, or with food vendors like we encountered learning about other venues. 8) When I initially envisioned my wedding I couldn't decide on what I wanted as far as theme or feel, and I didn't want it to be too \"themey\" I felt like 1890 was perfect because it has a farm, elegant old house, outdoor, indoor, and all around perfectly unique feel. I have been to other venues for other weddings and they were nice and great, don't get me wrong; but Eighteen Ninety, I believe, has more to offer than any other Venue in our area.

WE fell in love with how amazingly beautiful the venue is, but have been totally blown away with how hard they work for excellent customer service. WE fell in love with how amazingly beautiful the venue is, but have been totally blown away with how hard they work for excellent customer service.
