10 stars if it was possible because the extra 5 stars would go to its Regional Director of Events, David Stone. That gentleman is 100% of why our wedding day was truly EXCEPTIONAL! We had a large reception dinner in the Grand Ballroom, and every idea that I had, David had an extra suggestion to take it to the next level. We worked together fabulously and he made what would normally be stressful very fun. :) David Stone is a true professional with amazing talent at guiding one during the wedding planning process. He thinks about 10 steps ahead on any ideas you may have, and his experience in this industry really shines in his expert advice and his passion for the work. David was very patient with all of my questions, changes, and gracefully dealt with day-before changes we had in the guest list (beyond our control). His attention to detail is outstanding and so key to a smooth wedding day. The Eldorado Hotel itself is very luxe with rich NM tradition (Governors Balls & NM Justices are sworn in here), but what shines the brightest here is David Stone's talent in coordinating weddings. We had one truly magical day that friends and family still rave about. Thank you, David for the fun planning memories and the best day of our lives! We highly recommend Eldorado & David Stone for a terrific wedding. :)

The Eldorado was an AMAZING place to have our wedding! I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. We had the best planner to work with, David. He clearly understood our vision and had THE BEST IDEAS! He helped us plan our entire weekend, and it was perfect! We had a smaller wedding and had our ceremony on the rooftop - it was gorgeous. The Eldorado is worth it for this alone! We used the chapel for our reception, and it was beautiful! We used the Eldorado's grand candelabras, and it looked so elegant. David had a great idea to use the balcony again to have a firepit with smores. We also did cake and first dances under the stars. So many of my wedding guests said it was the nicest wedding they have ever been to! I loved all of it. The staff was great too! We also did a night before welcome party on the rooftop (the only caveat for the rooftop is to watch the weather - this event was a bit windy. However, our weather for the big day was perfect). The morning after we did a brunch in the Agave lounge and reused our flowers from the wedding reception. It was fantastic! I loved our wedding weekend, and the price was great too! It is really reasonable per person and includes quite a bit, and it is SO nice! We looked at having a wedding back East and it would have easily been twice the cost and half as nice. I'm so glad we got to work with David, who is amazing, super helpful, and has such amazing ideas. Our big day at the Eldorado was a smashing success!

He was so helpful and informative and made us feel so comfortable. He also was very open minded and excited about all of our ideas which I really appreciated. He will go above and beyond on your wedding day to make sure everything goes well. He has many years of experience but it is also just in his nature. The Eldorado Hotel is beautiful! They have many options for indoor and outdoor wedding options. They have a beautiful balcony that has the best view in town of the city but also the mountains. Highly recommend. You can not go wrong with this place, and David will make the experience that much better! Especially if you are doing destination!

We had such a wonderful wedding here. We had the ceremony in the beautiful chapel, and had dinner on the terrace of the Presidential Suite, which was a huge hit with our guests (views of downtown Santa Fe and Sangre de Christo mountains). The price was very reasonable for the high level of service received. The food is top notch, the bridal suite is perfect, but the absolute best part of the package is David, the events coordinator. He kept me relaxed throughout the planning process, and perfectly balanced letting us make decisions on certain things with taking care of other stuff so we never had to think of it. It couldn't have gone more smoothly. Well, one tiny bit of advice: if you have dinner outside, get your own table number holders. The ones (kindly) provided to us were tall and couldn't stand up to a breeze.

My husband and I got married in Santa Fe, NM on 10/15/2016 and had our reception at Eldorado Hotel & Spa. First off, Dan Liss was amazing to work with! He was very responsive to all of our emails, calls, questions, etc. He went above and beyond for us and we couldn't have asked for a better person to work with for such an important event. We had our cocktail hour on the balcony of the Presidential Suite and our reception was in the ballroom downstairs. Everything from the food/drinks to the service was top notch! Our guests were very pleased with the rooms and the overall service of the hotel staff. Josh was so awesome in assisting our guests with any of their room needs and Sylvia was great in helping us get everything we needed for our after the wedding party. If we could give this hotel more than 5 stars, we would! Eldorado is the best place to stay in Santa Fe and definitely the best place to have your wedding and/or reception!

Dan and his team at the Eldorado made our wedding what it was....amazing. We are not from Santa Fe and had to plan long distance. Dan and others at the hotel were always very accommodating with meeting us and answering all out questions when we were in town. Dan was able to take all my small ideas and turn them into beautiful realities and with some he even made them better with what the Eldorado could provide. Brian who did our room block was very receptive and also went above and beyond by taking my RSVP list and making sure everyone was in my room block.The day itself was beautiful and Dan and his team were there all day to make sure it stayed that way. They took care of every small hiccup that came up so I could continue to relax and get ready. We used multiple venue options at the hotel. We had our ceremony in the Chapel, cocktail hour on the Presidential Patio, and had our reception in the Grand Ballroom. All three were so beautiful we spend very little having to decorate them. Although a majority of our budget went to the Eldorado it was all worth it since they provided so much. Being far away that was most important to us was to get everything we wanted with as few vendors as possible. The Eldorado had it all and we are still very happy with our choice.

Dan Liss and the staff at the Eldorado were fantastic. Dan definitely took a great deal of stress off of planning our wedding with the services offered in their wedding packages. Dan and his assistant Ashley made absolutely sure all the details were looked at through the whole process, which helped me not forget anything. The only problem that I had was when the staff packed away the top of our wedding cake they did not include the sugar flowers that were on the cake. But overall If you want a beautiful and elegant wedding that won't break the bank I highly recommend the Eldorado Hotel & Spa.

The Eldorado Hotel & Spa was a great place to get married. And I give the hotel 4.5 stars, but rounded to 5! The new Chapel is gorgeous. There has been many renovations to the hotel, so it seems new. The hotel offers \"Packages\" for weddings, that make it easy and \"sorta\" cost effective, I say \"sorta\" because it's expensive, but at least with the package they don't nickle and dime you for the champagne toast, cake-cutting, chairs, tables, etc. With the package, it is all included. The hotel rooms aren't too expensive, so guests can spend the night if they wish. You can have ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dance all at one location, which is a huge plus. Dan did make the ballroom ready for us early that morning so we could set-up. The staff are really sweet and help when they can. Everyone is easy to talk to. In my opinion, it's a good value for being downtown Santa Fe. It's not a 5-star hotel, so I guess if it is your dream to get married at a 5-star hotel, then you need to keep looking.... but with that being said, I had a friend who attended a wedding at a five-star hotel in Santa Fe (Four Seasons Encantado), and said our wedding was better. Again, personal opinions. Parking, the hotel has a underground valet parking, but that is it, no parking lot. So it's a little inconvenient and expensive, but the bell-hops are nice! It's expensive, so be prepared to pay, but like I said, I think it's the best value in downtown Santa Fe. Dan is the wedding coordinator at the hotel and is pretty good, and has an assistant Ashley, who is also very good. Dan was especially good at the beginning and ending of the wedding planning, unfortunately, in the middle of the planning it took longer to get a hold of him. With that being said, the Eldorado basically has weddings every weekend, so even though you are planning only your wedding, Dan is planning one each week, so at first I was peeved when it took Dan a week to get back to me when I was trying to do a tasting, but now I understand, and two weeks before the wedding, he was AMAZING. He answered quickly, he even met with me a few times to make sure we were on the same page. So kudos to him for stepping up the the plate and making a home run. If I could do my wedding over, I would still choose the Eldorado! It was a beautiful day!

I had the most beautiful wedding at the Eldorado Hotel! Thanks to all the staff there that made it possible. Dan and Ashley were wonderful in working to their fullest to make my wedding successful. The chapel is stunning alone with the ballroom where we had our reception. Prices are very reasonable and worth the aligence of all arangments being done. I will cherish the day and place to where I got married.

Hello Dan Liss\rIf anyone is considering tying the knot at the Eldorado Hotel chapel, you should know Everything, and I mean everything came out perfect. The staff made sure all our guest were at home and the rooms were amazing. Dan and Ashley were on top of everything and also provided us with a list of all the businesses in the surrounding area that took care of the flowers, cake, and the food \" OMG \" was spectacular ! It was truly a Santa Fe wedding. Not all of our guest could make it and that's when Dan informed us that the ceremony could be streamed live into peoples living rooms. We had friends and family all over the country watching us and even though they weren't there, they were still part of our ceremony. \r To us, this was an experience we will never forget ! \r\r\rThank You Much\rGlenn & Denise Gallipoli

We had our wedding at the Hotel St. Francis on 7/4/15 that is a sister property to the El Dorado. I am posting the review on the El Dorado site because our wedding planner Erika works out of the El Dorado property. We live in Texas and decided on a destination wedding in Santa Fe. I fell in love with the pictures of the lobby of the Hotel St. Francis and decided that would be the place. It was the perfect size for our small group of 18. We had the ceremony in front of the fireplace and the dinner in the lobby as well and still had plenty of room for dancing. Erika took such care in making sure that all the details were taken care of with total ease. The minute she took over my event I knew I was in great hands. Planning long distance can be a bit overwhelming but she took the stress right out of it. We met with Erika and her team, which included the Sound person and Catering Manager and her effervescent intern Katherine when we got into town and everyone was so kind and accommodating. \rWe also had a fantastic experience at the Spa at the El Dorado! They are wonderful with hair and make-up and some of our guest had massages as well. It is a super relaxing and gorgeous spa. Everyone is super friendly and very talented. \rOn the day of the event I came downstairs to meet the photographer and I was stunned at how gorgeous everything was. They totally exceeded my expectations!\rI have to mention Joe, our Bartender. He was such a joy and made sure everyone was having a good time and had what they needed. I am so thankful we had him at our event. I couldn’t have asked for a better fit for our group. \rWe were not ready for the evening to end and Vernon and Ricardo from the Banquet department let us continue to play our music while they cleared the area. What great guys they were! So patient with us and let us know where we could move our things so they could get the lobby put back together but still continue to enjoy our evening. Erika and Katherine stayed and made sure everything went as planned and then when she was leaving she asked if there was anything else she could do. I said, “I don’t know if this in the realm of what you can do but is there any way I could have you sprinkle the remaining rose petals in our room?” She graciously agreed and it was such a beautiful finish to our evening! I HIGHLY recommend the El Dorado and/or Hotel St. Francis for your Santa Fe wedding! Erika will take care of you from start to finish! Truly amazing. \r

We had our wedding at the Hotel St. Francis on 7/4/15 that is a sister property to the El Dorado. I am posting the review on the El Dorado site because our wedding planner Erika works out of the El Dorado property. We live in Texas and decided on a destination wedding in Santa Fe. I fell in love with the pictures of the lobby of the Hotel St. Francis and decided that would be the place. It was the perfect size for our small group of 18. We had the ceremony in front of the fireplace and the dinner in the lobby as well and still had plenty of room for dancing. Erika took such care in making sure that all the details were taken care of with total ease. The minute she took over my event I knew I was in great hands. Planning long distance can be a bit overwhelming but she took the stress right out of it. We met with Erika and her team, which included the Sound person and Catering Manager and her effervescent intern Katherine when we got into town and everyone was so kind and accommodating. \rWe also had a fantastic experience at the Spa at the El Dorado! Mountain landscape and Santa Fe square all lit up for Christmas. The hotel went through an ownership change during the year so there were some communication barriers at first, but all in all ended up great!

Everything that was offered was amazing! Food came out quick for all the guests and was delicious! The staff was beyond nice and made sure everyone was happy and had everything they needed!
