We got married at Elkin Creek November 4th, 2023 and had a magical experience. We chose their magnolia package which is for an intimate wedding of a maximum of 30 people, bride and groom included, which was perfect for our small group of friends and family. We used their in house catering and the food was delicious and tbe presentation was top notch. Honestly, you chopse this venue for the rustic and charming natural views, the creek, the barn, the valley with the old bus, the opportunities for photos are all over. Staying on site at the cabins made the weekend transition very smooth. Carrie, one of the owners, was our officiant and she did a fantastic job accommodating our requests into the ceremony. Just a couple of words to the wise, you will be responsible for all your decorating so make sure you have that in mind for your timeline as they are very strict about their schedule, communication sometimes was a little delayed, but we also chose peak season for our big day so I think they were just extremely busy leading up to it, you may want to have a private planner for a more 'you' focused experience. I am very biased though because our day went off without a hitch and was a dream come true. Reviewed on 22-01-2024

“We were married at Elkin Creek Winery Dec 9, 2023. I have to say it was the best day of my life! Other than marrying my best friend, Jennifer and Carrie are no like other! They made the entire process so easy for us on our special day, site unseen until the day before!! Our day didn’t start out the way it was supposed to, thank you to the rain…all day; however we woke to a beautiful rainbow, deer wandering out front, and rain showers to wash all the past in the past. Our ceremony was utterly priceless! Carrie’s sermon was amazing and so meaningful! Our dinner after: starter salad - the house dressing…DELICIOUS!!; chicken - was juicy and delicious; green beans - delicious; oven roasted potatoes- perfectly cooked and well seasoned! The dining room was a perfect space to host my family!Cabins…where do I start?? I literally felt like I was home! Unbelievable comfortable, cozy, warm, comfortable bed and blankets! Loved the heater in the bathroom! I can not wait to come back! We plan to on our 1 year anniversary!! Thank for making Eddie & I and my family so comfortable!! We appreciate all that you’ve done to make an already special day even more special!! Jennifer & Carrie, you ladies and your families are so warm and welcoming and have beautiful souls! Grace Ross(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-08-2021 Elkin Creek Vineyard was AMAZING to work with! The wedding coordinator at the venue (Jennifer) is so thorough and goes above and beyond to make your wedding day go well. Even with a torrential downpour on our wedding day Jennifer still made our dreams of an outdoor ceremony possible. The scenery was stunning, the ceremony site is in a shaded grove that was perfect for pictures and to make you feel in nature without having to hoof it through the country to get there. If you have a chance I would grab some good shoes and climb the waterfall onsite as it is truly spectacular. The staff was helpful and so kind to me and all of our guests. They cared about how we felt and that we were having a great time. So many of our guests came up to me to tell me how wow'd they were with the service, food and scenery. They do their own catering and it did not disappoint! Book them now, because they are 100000000% worth it! Reviewed on 08-09-2021

Frances Saccoccio(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-06-2019 Jennifer and Carrie did a excellent job. We planned the wedding from 2 hours away in Raleigh but did not have any issues because Jennifer recommended local vendors and made it all happen. The guests all loved the ceremony and reception. Our ceremony was by the creek and reception in the harvest barn. We rented the winery golf cart for mobility impaired older relatives which made getting guests to/from the creek very easy and manageable. The food was delicious for both the rehearsal dinner (buffet style pizza) and wedding reception (family style salad, grilled chicken, pasta, grilled veggies) . Guests loved having the vinter double as the bartender and hearing about the wine. We stayed in the honeymoon cabin which was also great and super convenient. Our bridal party stayed in the other on site cabins. We really appreciated being the only event for the weekend (rehearsal dinner Friday and wedding on Saturday) which created a very individualized experience. Reviewed on 01-11-2019

Jennifer, Carrie, Louis and Nick were all a pleasure to work with, and their hard work and creativity made our special day just magical. The venue is gorgeous and staff’s hospitality is unparalleled. On the day of our wedding we asked for some lighting to be moved which in-turn busted a water line! No sweat for Louis though, all was repaired and no sign of any damage for the ceremony. Lauren Ferber(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-06-2019 I booked this venue for both the ceremony and reception for our wedding, and I am so thankful I did. The property is absolutely gorgeous, and needed very little additional decoration to make the wedding look like I wanted. The ceremony site beside the creek was perfect for us, providing a beautiful backdrop for pictures and a wonderful soundtrack of running water. The reception in the harvest barn could not have been more picturesque. On top of that, Jennifer was the best to work with. She was there every single step of the way, and made sure to truly take our budget into consideration. The day of the wedding went so smooth because of her, I truly couldn't imagine how things would have gone without her there. We appreciated timely responses to emails and in person meetings to make plans. She offered great suggestions to help the evening flow smoothly. Their team is professional and experienced and it really, truly, shows through the whole process. They are accommodating and flexible in all the best ways and made the entire process so easy and took so much off of my (now) wife and I! The location is so charming and romantic-- we had our ceremony beside the two rivers on the property, which was beyond beautiful, and our reception in the pavilion. It made it so intimate with family but there was still so much room to run and dance! The mood and lighting were absolutely perfect. We also chose them to cater the wedding and-- WOW! There was not a single complaint. In fact, there were many guests coming up to us just to tell us how amazing the food was! Elkin Creek is a very special place and my husband, Corey and I will forever be grateful that we had our wedding and reception here. Jennifer, Carrie and team went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our wedding was perfect and better than we ever could have dreamed of. We planned the wedding from DC, and were very thankful for all of the support that was provided from afar. Jennifer served as the day of coordinator and she made sure every detail was perfect and ready to go, taking away any stress from the wedding party. The Elkin creek wedding website was a HUGE help as it recommended local vendors in the area that all knew the venue well. We are still getting compliments about the venue and the food. wow the food! We had our rehearsal dinner on site with their famous wood fire pizzas. These pizzas were probably the best I'd ever had. For our ceremony we used their recommended venue, twenty one and main. We had the NC BBQ, wood fire chicken, gouda mac & Cheese, green beans and rolls. We are STILL getting comments about how the food was the best wedding food people ever had. I loved the imagery of two creeks merging. The entire place is unique, from the open harvest barn to the hill of vines, everything is picturesque. It provided two opportunities from either an outdoor by the creek wedding or a ceremony in the harvest barn. The also have these perfect cabins were it was really fun and quiet place to stay the day before with the bridal party, get ready the day off, and spend our first night as husband and wife in the honeymoon cabin. It was also a fun place to stay during a wedding planning weekend with my Mom.What I'm blown away with was not the land but the people. Jen is amazing. She served as our day of coordinator but really went above and beyond to helping an indecisive, out of town bride figure out a perfect wedding day. By the end, she really felt like a friend and I was kind of sad to not be going back every few months to see her and her amazing team. They really know how to troubleshoot in those \"make it work\" moments like when it hailed an hour before our ceremony. She didn't even make me feel stressed about it but approached me with an alternative plan that turned out even more beautiful than the original. Everyone pitched in to make our wedding day perfect, even her kids and mother!!My guest loved the venue and felt like they were somewhere they'd never been before, which was what I really wanted. The food, from the pizza rehearsal dinner, to the amazing caterer Jeff was amazing and the staff was so attentive. Ashley Spenello(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-10-2016 To say our special day was a fairytale plucked straight from my mind would be cliche, but incredibly accurate. Jennifer and the staff at the winery made our wedding weekend everything we could have hoped for and more. From my countless questions patiently answered the whole year leading up to the wedding to her careful consideration and guidance navigating our budget, Jennifer made sure we always felt comfortable and helped me avoid over-stressing about the details. We had our rehearsal dinner in their tasting room, complete with gourmet brick-oven pizzas and - of course - the delicious wines crafted by their resident winemaker. We were able to book all 4 cabins that are located on the property as well, so the wedding party had a proper stay and Yadkin Valley experience. To call them 'cabins' is misleading; full kitchens, slate tile bathrooms, hardwood floors and gas fireplaces with private porches and porch swings .. it doesn't get any more cozy! The wedding day was simply effortless and perfect - she saw my vision and helped us make it a reality. We used her recommended caterer and have continued to get rave reviews from our guests about how delicious and creative the menu was (I mean, smoked Gouda and bacon macaroni and cheese?? So good!). Everyone at the winery went above and beyond to make both my husband and I and all of our guests feel like family ... you can tell from the moment you arrive that these people have a real passion for what they do and it resonates in the special moment you celebrate with them. I highly recommend this venue - the wine is the best I've had from North Carolina and the memories we will have from our wedding have already made up my mind that we will return for our anniversary next year! The atmosphere and the people of Elkin Creek made me feel like this was the place to begin a lifetime with my soul mate. As a bride, Jennifer and the staff was extremely helpful and supportive from the beginning of planning through the day of the wedding. She guided me through the options and custom fitted the ceremony to my personality. Jennifer also gave great recommendations for the photographer, florist, violinist, and even choices of their wine. I was able to enjoy being a bride without any concern about how the ceremony and reception would unfold. This allowed me to be relaxed and enjoy the experience. The ceremony was held on the water’s edge where two creeks join into one. This symbolized the joining of my husband and I. The wording of the ceremony by Cary was powerful and captured the love we will always have for one another. Their recommendation of layout and food served at the reception made everyone feel at home and loved. The Barn was beautifully lit and decorated for our dance following dinner. Jennifer was extremely helpful right from the start! Our families as well as us stayed in the beautiful cabins they have on site which were very affordable. Jennifer and her husband acted as wedding planners the day of, making everything go off without a hitch. Stephanie Schmitt(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-04-2014 Everything about Elkin Creek fit our vision of our wedding. We happened about this vineyard many years ago and have been enjoying the wine and sporadic visits to the grounds since then. When it came time to plan our intimate wedding, we knew this was the place. It can accommodate larger and smaller groups -- all depending on how you want the feel of your wedding to be.\r\rWe wanted immediate family only, so having the ceremony right along the waters edge at the \"beach\" was perfect. Carrie was a wonderful officiant, and her ceremony was just beautiful, respectful, and appropriate. We worked with her in advance and only made very minor modifications to the script to fit our style. It was already a perfect blend of tradition but tailored to the modern day.\r\rJennifer was wonderful to work with all along, from my initial questions about the site and date up until the details of the day. She was always responsive in emails, very understanding when I had a lot of tiny questions, accommodating to our needs and changes, and great at offering advice. If you need a high-touch, all-inclusive wedding planner to direct everything for you this may not be your spot or staff, but if you want a lovely, low-stress, flexible, enjoyable, and beautiful wedding, you should look no further.\r\rThere are a million spots for beautiful photos -- casual and formal poses, perfect in virtually all kinds of weather. We made a weekend of the event by staying in the lovely cabins (I want a bathroom just like this) and enjoying the pizza and wine lunch on Sunday. Everyone is still talking about the pizzas. It's great we'll be able to enjoy many future visits to the site of our wedding for casual lunch, buying new wines, and just enjoying the grounds. How many people get to say that about their wedding venue?\r\rThanks so much for a wonderful experience! We can't wait to come back soon! Reviewed on 04-05-2014

They work directly with other local vendors to take more stress out of the process and have a convenient one stop process for several things. They are also accommodating to requests and timelines to make your special day uniquely yours. Also, their wine is delicious! We had extra wine left over from our wedding and are not complaining, they have some of the best wine in the Yadkin Valley area. lulu Broms(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-08-2013 We had our wedding at Elkin Creek and wish we'd gone somewhere else. Anywhere else in fact. It was very difficult working with the venue leading up to the venue. We were made to feel we were inconveniencing them if we called, emailed or visited the site. On the day of the wedding we had a lot of problems, some out of their control, some firmly within their control. \r\rOur biggest complaint was with the caterer they recommend, 21 and Main. The cost to use an outside caterer is $500, which is cost prohibitive and unreasonable. So, we went with their caterer. On the day of the chef was not on site. They did not deliver all of the items in our contract, or on our menu. Food came out ten minutes apart per dish. The chicken came out raw! It was embarrassing! After the wedding we had people coming up to us for the first week telling us things like, a) the waiter spilled food all down my back! 2) The chicken was raw. 3) Where was the appetizer? We have no answers for them because we also don't know how this could have gone so wrong. After the wedding they agreed to take off $1 per person for the missing food. That added insult to injury. \r\rWe feel very embarrassed about all of this. Our memories of our wedding are forever tainted by their lack of concern, care and service. To top it all off we paid a lot of money to be there, to be dealt with rudely and to have items not even show up. \r\rI'm writing a review today to warn other brides away before they have a similar experience.
