The Emerald Theatre is a gorgeous historic venue located in the heart of downtown Mount Clemens, MI. Designed by C. Howard Crane and built in 1921, the beautifully-restored venue boasts three levels, exquisite gold-gilded ornate plaster walls, opera boxes, and elevated stage with professionally-designed specialty lighting and concert-quality sound system, of course! Announce your event in style with a special message on our marquee and our outdoor digital screen which faces the huge public parking lot directly behind the theatre. The intimate, oh-so-cool vibe of the Rock Room is perfect for cocktail hour and pictures. The Emerald Theatre sets the stage for an extraordinary and memorable vow exchange and reception, featuring truly spectacular decor sure to enchant and surprise your guests. Step inside and find yourself drawn to the dramatic stage, soaring ceiling, and classic opera boxes. Following the ceremony, take in the splendor from the stunning vantage point of the balcony and take time for a few photos before joining guests on the mezzanine or a private bar for a cocktail. The stage has an option to be transformed into a dining area for your evening reception, and following dinner, the ultimate dance floor is ready for you and your guests to dance the night away. The Emerald Theatre offers flexible packages designed for intimate to elaborate weddings (up to 250 guests) and tailored to your preferences for a unique, personalized experience. To enhance your celebrations, the catering team can create a delicious menu with a selection of hors d'oeuvres and main courses. We were married at the Emerald Theater on August 26th, 2023. There was also a festival happening downtown that weekend and the staff at the Theater was just incredible in managing around that. They went above and beyond to help direct my guests on where to park and make sure they found the theater without issue. Becky in particular was a pleasure to work with and made sure every detail of our ceremony was covered and went smoothly. It was a gorgeous space and we got some really amazing pictures before, during, and after the ceremony throughout the entire space as well as outside. The marquee with our names and wedding date was truly a special touch. I would highly recommend this venue and their staff for any event.

Excellent experience with Emerald Theatre. It was a beautiful venue. The owner and all the staff were amazing. The venue was very easy to work with, and they were very organized, accommodating, understanding, and responsive. They were very supportive of us having 2 ceremonies in one day at the venue, including a traditional Nigerian ceremony. Food was delicious and they allowed us to have an outside food vendor as well. Couldn't have asked for a better venue experience. They treated us like family.

Excellent experience with Emerald Theatre. It was a beautiful venue. The owner and all the staff were amazing. We were married on June 16, 2023 at the Emerald. It was a story book wedding. The venue is absolutely amazing - vintage all the way. Standing on stage for our ceremony was the best \"performance\" of my life. The food was exceptional. The service, especially our coordinator, Becky West, was exceptional. Everyone went above and beyond. I could not have asked for a more magical experience. I highly recommend this facility and this team. You will not go wrong!

My wife and I had an overall wonderful night at the Emerald Theater. Every guest we spoke to told us how beautiful and pleasant the night was. We experienced a few venue-specific hiccups along the way, but overall I would pick them again. Below are the pros and cons of our experience with Emerald Theater, but the pros far and away outweigh the cons 10 to 1. Pros: - Inside the venue is breathtakingly beautiful. Much of the original 100-year-old details are incorporated into the design. - The drinks, food, day-of coordinator, tables, chairs, linens, late-night pizza, and much more are included in the per-person price, with upgrades available. The price was super reasonable for everything included. - We liked having access to the staff before and on the wedding day. Everyone was super kind and responsive to every message and call. - Lots of space for guests. We had around 140 guests + vendors, and it was plenty without feeling empty or cramped. We also had plenty of space for the bridal party to get ready. There were also plenty of places around the venue for amazing pictures. - They customized the marquee with our names. - The food from D'Amato's Restaurant in Royal Oak was out of this world. Seriously, the food was on point. The buffet style food worried me at first, but it was very quickly accomplished with 140+ guests and vendors fed. - No lines at the open bar! I don't know how they accomplished this with 3 signature drinks and the amount of guests we had. - The upstairs Rock Room sold me (a punk rock guy) on the venue. Cocktail hour was a hit up there. - They let us set up the venue the day before, saving a lot of time, stress, and hassle on the wedding day. Cons:- We worked with four different wedding coordinators throughout the process. We had to explain everything to each. However, we were engaged for 2 years during COVID, so this could be an industry / pandemic problem. - Prices differed between the provided documents and what the owner told me. We were slightly overcharged, but they let us invite more people at no cost to remedy the situation. - Towards the end of the night, the security must have taken a break, and a random person wandered around the venue, finally talking to my new bride and me on the dance floor. Several guests and security personnel quietly escorted the person out of the venue without incident. I think it will be a decent story, but they may want to figure that out in the future. - No elevator in the venue for those with a disability. - Across the venue, a green tarp covers a giant window on the adjacent building. They don't own the building and can't do much about it, but it's unsightly for guests unfamiliar with the area. Again, we loved the venue and I would 100% go back again. The security issue is the only reason we are giving 4 stars instead of 5. We plan on returning to D'Amato's every year for our anniversary (same owners).

My Husband Jarred and I had our wedding here on 10/22/22 and it was the best night of our lives. The Emerald holds a special place in our hearts since we met here 12 years ago. The management and staff helped us share our love for the venue and music with all our family and friends. They allowed Jarred to take the stage and play a concert for old-times-sake. The sound systems and the lights made the event extremely unique. The bar service and specialty couples cocktails were perfect. We went with their preferred caterer D'Amato's Restaurant and the food and INCREDIBLE! It tasted exactly like it did during our tasting and came out hot. The day of coordinator was amazing and keep the day going smoothly. Overall everything was perfect and we couldn't have imagined a better wedding and it was all thanks to the Emerald staff. Truly, thank you all!We did have some minor issues during the planning process but the management resolved things extremely professionally and quickly. I want to give a specific thanks to Eryn West for helping us out and being extremely professional throughout the process.

My husband and I had our wedding here this past Saturday and it was incredible. Planning a wedding is always crazy stressful, Nichole (manager) and John (owner) went above and beyond to try to take the stress off. Nichole is super organized and communication with her was very easy. She stayed in touch every step of the way and did her best to make sure everything was flawless on our big day. I'm so glad we went with the Emerald, the venue is gorgeous, and the sound system and lights gave it such a \"wow factor\". Lights and sound are ran by Kenny which just like the rest of the staff, is exceptional. You can tell he really loves his job and we're thankful for him and all the time he spent with us to make the theater into our vision. Hands down, I would do it all over again at the Emerald. I can't imagine a wedding at any other place. Thanks to the team there, you were all so fantastic.

Great accommodations for any size budget! They will work with you to make your dream wedding come true! Wedding was 2-2 (the day of the big snowstorm) and the venue called a couple days before offering to postpone if I chose to, but assuring me they were ready for my big day! My husband and I loved the Emerald from the minute we walked in. Due to covid, we had to postpone by a year. There was a cycle of coordinators while we were planning, so the first person we worked with wasn’t the last. That said, everyone was incredible. The team was insanely accommodating, they were willing to work closely with my MOH and myself, and the experience was the best ever. We got so many compliments on the space and the FOOD! If I had to do it over, I wouldn’t change a thing.

When looking for a wedding venue, my wife and I were interested in somewhere that was able to accommodate a ceremony and reception. Our first stop was the Emerald Theater, and the experience just spoiled all the others we went to. The decor, atmosphere, and onsite amenities are just so unique! I will never forget the shivers down my spine when the venue coordinator showed my wife (then fiance) how her grand entrance will be made through the foyer doors. When it came to finances, the pricing for their top tier package (including all of the things we wanted) was significantly cheaper than any other venue we visited later.Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to postpone our wedding date twice. The whole time, the venue was right there with us supporting our decisions and assisting us along the way (the owner John even met with us to discuss what he could do to help). As it was a crazy time, we ended up having 3 different coordinators throughout the time from initial visit to the actual event day, but we could not appreciate their contributions more. Cecilia, Jessie, and Shanna were so accommodating, with Shanna taking on the final leg helping with the actual wedding. Our day came out better than we could have imagined and we could not have done it without their help and support. Overall - we highly recommend anyone looking for a unique and intimate wedding venue to check out the Emerald Theater!

We are all about jazz, and the Emerald Theatre stood out to us as soon as we got engaged. It was the first venue we viewed and we never looked back. The ornate beauty was just the start, as we were able to put engagement photos on the big screen out back, use the Rock Room throughout the day, and smoke cigars out front at night. Most importantly, the food at the wedding was just as good as when we went for our tasting.Considering all the personnel changes and complications surrounding COVID-19 throughout the duration of our engagement, the wedding turned out to be as beautiful as we were hoping. We are very appreciative of the flexibility shown when changing our wedding date, asking for specific accommodations, or getting creative with the experience. All in all, we are very pleased with our Emerald Wedding.

From the moment we walked into the theatre we could feel the magic from the lights, music playing, and the historical architecture. Not only was the venue amazing but the staff helped us plan everything with ease and took a lot of our planning stress away. The venue is very flexible and can help you tailor your wedding to how you picture it. The food was catered by D’Amatos restaurant, and it was absolutely delicious! They made the planning process a breeze! We were so excited to book the Emerald Theatre for our wedding reception after we toured the beautiful venue. Cecilia helped with all the details, and once we decided on everything we wanted, she took care of the rest. Our night was perfect and the food was amazing. They made the planning process a breeze! We were so excited to book the Emerald Theatre for our wedding reception after we toured the beautiful venue. Cecilia helped with all the details, and once we decided on everything we wanted, she took care of the rest. Our night was perfect and the food was amazing. D'Amato's catered and everyone raved about how delicious it was. The sound system and dance floor made it a party! I'd definitely recommend the Emerald Theatre for your wedding reception!

This venue is every brides dream. It is something so unique and also very reasonable! There is no need for expensive centerpieces because they building itself is enough! The service was amazing and they were so good on communicating ,organizing, and just taking care of everything! The food was fantastic, not your boring banquet food. Overall expirence was absolutely incredible and I would recommend it to everyone!

This venue is every brides dream. It is something so unique and also very reasonable! There is no need for expensive centerpieces because they building itself is enough! The service was amazing and they were so good on communicating ,organizing, and just taking care of everything! The food was fantastic, not your boring banquet food. Overall expirence was absolutely incredible and I would recommend it to everyone!

The Emerald Theatre was such an outstanding venue for our wedding! The space is so beautiful and elegant. There is so much detail in the architecture and the new owners have restored all of it’s original beauty. The team working our wedding did such an amazing job! Cecilia was so very helpful and coordinated everything to be spot on. Tony also ensured that everything was absolutely perfect. We did both our ceremony and reception here and our guests really loved having a one-stop-shop for the evening. We catered from Damatos restaurant in Royal Oak and the food was incredible. We had so many guests from out of town and weren’t yet familiar with Damatos. It felt like every single guest pointed out how great the food was and that they will be visiting Damatos when they return to Michigan!!Our wedding went off without a hitch! We used Ten Seven Photography as our team of husband and wife photographers and they utilized the space so well in their photographs! They were a breath of fresh air to work with and we absolutely adore our photos!! They are also local to this venue and made relationships with the team at the Emerald for ease of future events!
