Encore did a phenomenal job with our wedding in June of 2022. We had originally booked another venue closer to home, and discovered that we had lost it about 7 months out from our wedding. Thankfully, Encore had our date available and we were able to move forward with all our same vendors. Kaitlyn was a great help with the event planning department, and Banquet Captain Matt took the best care of us on the day. It was so great to get to the end of the aisle after getting married and see him standing there with champagne glasses ready and waiting for us. The grounds are gorgeous - our pictures turned out beautifully. The guests raved about the food. And having the nightclub area for a \"cool down\" after party hour was fun and unique!

I held a wedding at Encore on 5/29/22. The experience was not what I expected. Some important details were not Executed which made the experience with Encore frustrating. I went through three different coordinator due to employee changes and had to explain what was originally planned out in my contract each time. On the day of we arrived to the venue and it was HORRIBLE. Still had decor and such from the event the day before. My decorator and family members had to clean the event space in order for my decorator to begin her tasks. We were told by the manger that the space wasn’t getting cleaned until 12pm. It was previously agreed for my decorator to arrived by 9am to prepare the space. The manger was rude and appeared to be unbothered by the fact that the venue was dirty as if it was our problem. That was Unacceptable for the amount of money paid. The ceremony chairs left a white print on clothes and when brought to the managers attention, she indicated that it was nothing she could do, this was also told to another staff the Friday before the event . It took my husband to raise hell before something was done. Don’t get me wrong the space is absolutely beautiful however unprofessional and unorganized. We didn’t receive an apology or an Inch of concern from the venue staff. This wasn’t their best efforts. I am very much so unsatisfied with this experience.

Fantastic event rentals vendor who we would use again. They did a 90 person private venue wedding for us in Sonoma and truly were flawless. Beautiful collection, flexible on adding and removing throughout the process, highly professional install and tear down staff. Use them!

I am SO very happy with how my wedding turned out at Encore! I had initially signed a contract with them when they were still Wedgewood. Even with the change of staff and management, they made every effort to ensure that my pre-existing contract was honored. Encore even worked with me when we had to postpone the wedding out one year due to COVID.There are so many pros about Encore Events! The weddings offered are budget friendly. We looked at a ton of places before deciding on Encore and the main reason was because of how easy they are to work with. They provide you with a wedding coordinator for the day of, they will set up all the tables and chairs with linens, they will put out all of your personal decorations, it includes food (buffet or plated), have bartenders and staff available to use on the day of, they offer an indoor and outdoor ceremony option, have both bridal and groom suites to get ready in AND they will clean up at the end of the night!Encore made planning an out-of-state wedding as easy as possible. I want to give a special shout out to Kaitlyn who did everything in order for me to have my outdoor “gazebo moment”. She truly does work with the couple and wants them to have their special day. I felt like I was well accommodated for the whole event.The venue is absolutely gorgeous (we received so many compliments)! They have a list of vendors you can use the day of and they were super easy to get a hold of to make arrangements.I could go on and on… I’ll just say that I am forever grateful I got to have my beautiful wedding at Encore. Thank you immensely Kaitlyn for everything.

I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding. So many people have told me this was one of the best weddings they have been to! The venue is GORGEOUS, the food was top notch, and the staff was very attentive. I worked with Kaitlyn and Sarah day of and she was amazing. So hopefully and so kind! Cleanup after was a breeze since the staff packed most of my stuff up for me! I highly recommend Encore for anyone looking to plan their wedding. The only issues we came across were due to Covid, which is no fault of the venue at all. Such a perfect day. Thank you so much!

My husband and I booked this venue back when it was still Wedgewood Weddings. It changed to Encore Events just shortly before Covid broke out. Talk about stress! We were extremely nervous to see what this meant for us and our wedding. All we can say is it was amazing! Kit, the new wedding coordinator is absolutely phenomenal! She worked smoothly with our external vendors and was always asking what more she could do for us. She was incredibly accommodating given the circumstances of 2020. Our wedding day was yesterday and I can truly say, from the bottom of my heart, I couldn't have asked for a more PERFECT wedding day. I will reccomend this venue any and every chance I get!

Our wedding was at NS Wedgewood 2 months ago. We give them 2 stars b/c our guests had a great time and thought it was beautiful. My biggest complaint is that we were told and promised many things that never came through. If it is not specifically mentioned in the contract, it probably won't happen just b/c they verbally say it will. The whole wedding and reception were stressful for us as we essentially did NOT have a \"day of coordinator\". Our guests were confused about where to park, what door to use, where to go, where to put coats, and how to get to the ceremony room. We had two people who needed an elevator and couldn't find anyone to help us figure out where the lift was. Those two women took the stairs. Very disappointing. We also felt that we wasted a lot of time checking out their preferred vendors, none of which we opted to use b/c of their lack of professionalism. We were asked to elaborate on our feedback, so we spoke with the management of NS Wedgwood. He seemed to want to convince us that the venue is great and that our experience, though disappointing, was an anomaly. He said he would refund us the cost of the \"day of coordinator\" and told us the amount. We received a check for $50 less than what he had told us, which is exactly the lack of detail that we know from them. In general, I would describe the staff as indifferent and disorganized, which is quite frustrating in a wedding scenario.

We got married here on 11/1/19!I can not say enough WONDERFUL things about Wedgewood Weddings Northshore! When my fiance and I were looking for venues, this was the ONLY place we looked at that we left feeling SUPER EXCITED (we looked at about 10 places altogether).What sold us on Wedgewood??- The flexibility of the packages. We were able to custom make our package in a way that we truly only had to pay for things we really wanted. And took out things that we did not need or want. We were also able to change things along the way with ease! Just a quick email and it was done!- The venue itself: this place is SOOOO pretty! They have 2 locations for ceremony and reception. The Chandler Room was our room and it was beautiful! The indoor AND outdoor ceremony areas were just as pretty!-Bridal/Groom Suites: These suites were a great size which was a GREAT perk!-The price: because of the flexiblity in the packages we were able to get our wedding paid for within our budget! They have a few options at different price points.-The people: Meeting with the sales manager, he was just AWESOME! You can tell that he LOVES his job, cares about helping you get the wedding of your dreams and doing so with your budget in mind. Anyone that we talked to was very kind, helpful and always willing to get/change anything we needed.-All in ONE place! We loved the fact that our ceremony and reception could all be in one place! This saves on time and allows your wedding day to be even more stress free!-THE BINDER: Yes, you get a planning binder! A wedding planning binder and IT WAS SO HELPFUL! It is tailored to what needs to get done month by month for Wedgewood and for you. This binder is your \"life line\"!-Stress Less: Now that the wedding is done.... I can honestly say... I had little to NO stress while planning this wedding! This has ALOT to do with Wedgewood and a lot to do with, well I am just a planner kinda gal! But for real, Wedgewood packages take away so much of the pressure and stress, because so many things can be included in your package. SO you just make a choice and BAM it is done! I couldn't imagine doing a wedding anywhere but this all inclusive venue. All the staff and vendors are absolutely amazing. They knew what I needed before I did. They can answer any question and fix any problem. I had the most amazing wedding. All the vendors were exceptional. I wouldn't change a thing.

On the positive side this venue was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful and offered a full range of services, so we had very little to stress about, and the price for these services was (we thought) affordable. The wait staff was phenominal! The DJ and photo booth companies they provided us with were the best part of the package. Both gentlemen were proactive in providing our guests with an over the top, enjoyable evening. On the down side we ended up dealing with at least 4 different people from the time we booked the venue, 2 1/2 years in advance, to the day of the wedding. It seemed their communication within was lacking as we were promised things by one person and then the next person we dealt with had no clue. The hotels they recommended were not really convenient to the venue. All were a 10-15 minute drive, which isn't awful....unless you've had a drink or two......and most did not offer shuttle service. The venue did refer us to a company they use. Unfortunately, their prices were exorbitant considering we would only need them for an hour or two. The food, which was quite tasty, was served at barely room temperature and by the time they served the back tables our guests had to send it back TWICE to be reheated plus they served the bread at the very end of dinner. The hall is meant to seat up to 300 people, we had roughly 120 guests and the room was HOT. We asked twice for the air to be turned down. I don't know if they turned it down or not but the room remained uncomfortably hot. The cake, which was also part of the package we chose, was beautifully presented and had a good flavor but was very dry. So although the pricing fell within our budget and they offered all the services one could need, I truly do not feel we got our moneys worth. When dropping close to 20 grand to give your daughter the wedding of her dreams I feel we and our guests should at least get hot food.

We did not use Weddings by Wedgewood in Wadsworth. We were looking for a more rustic venue. However, I wanted to write an excellent review because I was impressed with their service!Ericka met with us and she offered treats and beverages. It was a nice surprise! She was very enthusiastic and answered all of my questions. We wanted to add a couple hours to the package and she gave us 1 hour free! We gave our budget and she wanted to make sure what we wanted would fit in the budget. That was very thoughtful of her!!The indoor reception spaces were very open and the dance floor was huge! It's hard to find a nice sized dance floor. The rooms were very open and spacious for a smaller or larger wedding group. The gazebo and waterfall outside was a really pretty too!It was very tough to say no and it was close between the two venues. We did not use Weddings by Wedgewood in Wadsworth. We were looking for a more rustic venue. However, I wanted to write an excellent review because I was impressed with their service!Ericka met with us and she offered treats and beverages. It was a nice surprise! She was very enthusiastic and answered all of my questions. We wanted to add a couple hours to the package and she gave us 1 hour free! We gave our budget and she wanted to make sure what we wanted would fit in the budget. That was very thoughtful of her!!The indoor reception spaces were very open and the dance floor was huge! It's hard to find a nice sized dance floor. The rooms were very open and spacious for a smaller or larger wedding group. The gazebo and waterfall outside was a really pretty too!It was very tough to say no and it was close between the two venues. From start to finish, Wedgewood North Shore was the very best! WOW is the first word that comes to my mind. The venue is absolutely gorgeous from the outside ceremony space to the reception space. I cannot say enough about how amazing it was to work with Matt, Ericka and the Wedgewood staff. Ericka and Matt are true professionals at their job. The wedding couldn’t have been more perfect. Every detail was executed flawlessly. It rained in the morning but the sun came out just in time to make it a perfect day! It was truly unforgettable. The bridal and groom suites were wonderful. Staff were very easy to stay in contact with and all questions were answered. We have received so many compliments about the wedding , and I just smile because I loved every detail of the wedding! I just wish we could do it all over again! I HIGHLY recommend Wedgewood North Shore, it was the perfect venue and they had it all. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!

We told them what we wanted, and they made it happen. At our initial planning meeting, they took time get to know us, to learn our personalities and style. They used this to help us plan and create the wedding of our dreams. They have a number of established wedding packages to choose from and they were willing to combine/customize the packages to fit our needs. Through the planning process, we had regular meetings to ensure everything was on target and going exactly as we wanted. Ashley, Alexa, and Erica show that they genuinely care about their clients. No detail is overlooked. They took care of absolutely everything. The food during our reception was amazing. They have so many menu options to choose from. We were able to ensure our Gluten-Free and Vegetarian guests had plenty of options available to them as well. Matt, our Banquet Captain, and his entire Team made sure our guests were well taken care of. They also made sure we had enough time to eat as well. They checked on us constantly to make sure our needs were being met. Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was and how amazing all of the people at Wedgewood were. WW North Shore is amazing from beginning to end. We primarily worked with Ashley for our July 2018 wedding and I can't express enough how great she was. It was always easy to get a response from her and she worked with us in ensuring the day was about us and what we wanted. On the day of, the team was pretty spectacular. They take care of everything, so you don't have to stress out and even when you start to stress/worry, Ashley was right there ensuring me everything was going to be fine and it was all working out. We used the ones they are contracted with, who were all great and easy to work with. It’s nice to have most things under one contract so you know where you are money wise. They make sure everything runs smoothly and all our guests commented on how great everything was. They also said the bartenders were making fabulous drinks! Wedgewood North Shore went above and beyond for my wedding! My wedding was in Chicago but I live in Colorado so I never thought I was going to be able to pull off my wedding all my myself. Wedgewood was the PERFECT choice for us because they can and will do just about everything you need them to do. Invitations, they can do it. Need a DJ? They've got one (and an awesome DJ at that). They even set up decorations AND tear down!! They really are professionals and I will definitely suggest that if you are looking for a stress free wedding, choose Wedgewood North Shore as your venue.

We just had our ceremony and reception at Wedgewood Northshore on 10/28/17 in the Chandler room and it went wonderfully. The sales staff were amazing from beginning to end. They responded very quickly to my many emails, which I greatly appreciated, especially when my wedding was getting closer and I was bombarding them with questions and changes every other day! I worked the most with Alexa throughout the wedding planning process and she is so sweet and helpful. She always has great suggestions! Newcomer Ashley was my coordinator for the day of and worked with me the last week leading up the wedding. She is a great addition to the Wedgewood team! I was so stressed out during the rehearsal and she reassured me and did a magnificent job handling our 20 person wedding party! On the day of my wedding both Ashley and Alexa were so amazing, checking in with me often; Ashley made sure my new husband and I made time to eat our food and get a drink! Lisa and Matt were my banquet captains for the evening and they were both so nice and courteous. They also made sure we always had what we needed; whether that be refilling our drink or getting us another piece of cake! They also were so kind to help us clean up and organize everything at the end of the night, and packed up the remnants of our dessert table so we could enjoy those treats at home! Hats off to the chef! All of our guests raved about the food! We opted for the buffet which had many great options and everything was delicious! Also received a lot of compliments on the bacon wrapped scallops during cocktail hour! Thank you to the entire Wedgewood Northshore staff for an amazing day we will never forget!

Corki was absolutely phenomenal. We changed a lot last minute and it was no sweat off her back. She accommodated every single request with grace and ease. If it was me, I probably would have wanted to strangle us with our indecisiveness and our changes. Never once did I feel like we were an annoyance to her - she truly made this our day, and all about us.The reason why we signed on with Wedgewood was because of Corki. I'm in sales myself, and I can appreciate that you're not buying a product, you're buying the person who sells you the product. Your product is great at Wedgewood (the vendors, the venue... it's all beautiful) but it was Corki who we bought into. Her welcoming attitude, her ability to make you feel comfortable and calm, but most importantly her accommodations and caring attitude. By the end of all this, we felt like she was family. THAT is what sold us on Wedgewood - nothing else. We visited some very beautiful venues with comparable price points, but none of them had what Corki brings to the table.The weekend of our wedding, I've never felt more calm. I'm a control freak and to have someone else set up our site for us the way we wanted it was a concern for me. Corki took our vision, took our dream, and brought it to life. Everything we wanted was done and THEN SOME - she made finishing touches that brought tears to our eyes. To be able to go into your wedding day not freaking out and at total ease - now that's a feeling I didn't expect. She handled the behind the scenes with grace, she instructed us with everything we needed and the day of when we needed to finagle some dressing room arrangements, she made it happen, and even came up with special ideas for my wife and I throughout the day. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.You will not regret your decision signing on with Wedgewood - the experience is magical, their vendors are top notch and everyone genuinely cares to make your day great!

All I can say is Wow! We met with the general manager, Matt, and were immediately impressed with his kind, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor. He made us feel comfortable about the changes we needed to make to our wedding budget and showed us all the ways we could save while still getting what we most wanted. We appreciated that he didn't try to \"sell\" us on anything that would exceed our budget and we were incredibly grateful that he took the time to type up a specific and detailed proposal that showed us exactly where our money would be going. After deciding this is the place for us I met with Corki, who was the loveliest woman! She was so willing to answer all of my questions and put me at ease about all the details that go into planning a wedding. We are so excited to have our wedding here! Im going to say the number one reason you should stay away from Wedgwood banquets in Wadsworth IL, IS THEY JUST DONT CARE. We can't say enough about Corki and Alexa! They were so excited for us and helped us plan the whole thing long distance! Even though it rained the day before and we had to move things inside, everything came together perfectly. The rooms were beautiful and the food was excellent. I am so pleased with our pictures next to the waterfall. Thanks again!

My daughter had her wedding at Wedgewood on May 21st, 2016. All I can say is it was pure perfection! The entire staff was tremendous! I would most definately refer anyone to have their event at this wonderful venue!

I cant express how excited I am for our wedding next June. We recenly booked our wedding here and the service we have already recived from Corki and Alexa has been unbelievable. We looked at serval venues and this one was the that we just had to have and Corki was willing to work with us and our budget so we can have the wedding of our dreams at the price we wanted. they definitely go above and beyond and want you to have the best experience possible. we are so very excited and look forward to working with them more!

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect! We were married 3 weeks ago and couldn’t be happier with our decision to have our ceremony and reception at Midlane. We chose Midlane because we felt like we were getting the most for our money. They were very reasonably priced compared to some other places and extremely accommodating to our budget. Not to mention, there is an onsite hotel - Lotus Suites (which we are not quite as happy with and will review separately). We really liked the convenience of having the ceremony, reception and hotel all in the same place. We had spent 2 years planning our wedding and went through 3 different event coordinators before ending up with Corki Roth. And we are so happy we did, because she was absolutely amazing! Prior to the day of, Corki was always available to answer any questions we had and give advice. She was very professional and responded to all our emails and phone calls promptly. She was extremely accommodating and worked really hard to make sure we got everything we had been promised by the event coordinators before her. She really went above and beyond to make the planning process so easy! \rLuckily, the weather was in our favor that day, so we had a beautiful outdoor ceremony. However, if it hadn’t been so nice, Corki had an indoor back-up plan that I’m sure would have been just as perfect! Corki was there most of the day and night to make sure everything went according to plan. After Corki left for the night we had a Room Captain that stayed the rest of the night for anything we needed. Lynn, our Room Captain, was also amazing! She was so helpful with everything we needed and really went the extra mile to make sure we were well taken care of! When she saw how overwhelmed we looked at the end of the night, she offered to pack everything up for us (table numbers, centerpieces, etc.) to pick up in the morning which was such a relief! The rest of the staff was great as well, taking care of everything and always asking if we needed anything. \rThe food was excellent! We had so many compliments on both the Chicken Coq Au Vin and the Vegetarian Lasagna! And the fireworks are AMAZING! I highly recommend them! Our guests were so surprised and keep remarking on how beautiful it was. I can’t wait to get our pictures back!\rWe could not have asked for a better place or a better event coordinator than Corki! She really made our experience the best! I really cannot say one bad thing about the day… I highly recommend Midlane for any event!

Hello,\r\rI got married this past Saturday, October 18, 2014. There will never be enough words to express how thankful & blessed we are for Midlane Golf Resort & all the staff. Corki, wedding coordinator, was just simply amazing!!! No words can express how absolutely awesome she was to me, the groom, our kids, our family & friends! She went above & beyond to give me my dream wedding. Lynn, the supervising manager on my wedding night, was always making sure we had everything we needed/wanted! she was there to bring me food & drinks when I had to stand still for forever to get my dress bustled before the reception. The staff made sure every centerpiece was perfect, made sure all my personal effects were added to give the hall my own little personal touch. We originally had planned to get married outside but due to all the rain during the week, we got married in the Newport Room & they had the fireplace going to give it that romantic feel. It was amazing! After the ceremony, my guests were moved to the Chandler Room for cocktail hour. Everyone loved cocktail hour. Dinner was absolutely delicious! Not one single complaint, from the adult plates down to the kid plates. The fireworks during our first dance, let's just say ALL our guests were simply blown away!!!! It was beyond perfect! Corki & staff helped me surprise the groom with a happy birthday cupcake & had the whole room singing happy birthday to him! It was such a magical night & I could not & would not have my night any other way! Well.... The only thing I would change would be to re-do it every Saturday! \r\rTHANK YOU Midlane, Corki, Lynn, & all the staff for EVERYTHING!!!! My groom & I are beyond thankful for each & every one of you. Simply put: your team is amazing! The BEST in Lake County! Midlane has been incredibly helpful in the wedding planning process. What really made Midlane stand out above the other banquet halls we met with, was in our very first meeting the first question they asked was \"How do you picture your wedding?\" They were able to customize our wedding package and give us what WE want, not only what they offer. They didn't break the bank and were reasonable in their pricing. They were also able to reference us to a DJ company who was affordable. Midlane has been professional, high energy, and easy to communicate with. In our first meeting they were just as excited as we were for our wedding. We cannot wait for our September 2015 wedding with Midlane.

We had an appointment with Bill, who said he had done over 1,500 events at the place, however, when we got there it seemed like his first day on the job. He didn't seem to remember me when we got there, asked my name several times, and couldn't answer a single question! Everything was \"I'm not sure.\" He fussed in the computer, and seemed very distracted. When we first went to see Toni about our wedding we loved the place! Very nice, new carpet and chairs and a great deal! Toni was very helpful, answered any questions and gave me great advice with a couple of lists of preferred vendors to choose from. The case was even included in our bill. \r\rWe ordered the DJ, uplighting, photography and flowers on our own. \r\rBe aware, they do no provide microphones or speakers or a runway or tule, nor do they provide many outlets to bring your own things. Also, the fireworks are nice but unnecessary since it hinders lighting for photography. You are bringing nearly everything! (guestbook, table decor, reception/ceremony decor and flowers, toasting glasses, cake cutting set, etc.) \r\rWhat you get: chairs, tables, cloth napkins (you can bring your own paper napkins if you want), a gazebo if you pay for an outdoor ceremony, approx. 100 chairs for the outdoor ceremony, 2 votive candles per table, a basic cake, cake cutting service, toasting champagne, some led lit trees in the corner, a dance floor and someone else to set up your things for the reception. (you are free to move the setup as you want the day before)\r\rAll in all, well worth the money (especially with support) but don't assume they provide you with anything but the bare basics of a dinner.

This place is great - you can have your ceremony and reception there and sleep there as well! The grounds are beautiful and the staff is friendly. The outdoor ceremony was really lovely and the reception was a blast. We had an excellent experience with Midlane itself. The hotel part - \"Hawthorn Suites\" - was a constant source of stress. They screwed up guest reservations and did not deliver on promises that were made when we initially blocked our rooms. Get anything they tell you in writing and hold them to it!

We absolutely LOVED the beautiful golf course setting for our outdoor photos; the facility features two gazebos waterside setting and small bridge and many other picturesque settings. We also chose to have fireworks during our first dance as a surprise to our family and guests; it was AMAZING and a HUGE surprise to everyone (especially the mother of the bride...she thought SHE had planned everything!). The cake included in the reception fees was from one of two local bakers (which you chose) and it was absolutely delicious and looked beautiful. Our reception could not have been more beautiful and enjoyable we would highly recommend this facility.
