Based in New Orleans, LA, English Turn Golf & Country Club is a beautiful wedding venue that is conveniently located 15 minutes from the Central Business District and French Quarter. The Clubhouse at English Turn can accommodate receptions and ceremonies of up to 500 guests in our Grand Ballroom, Garden Room, and Main Dining Room. The Stunning 55,000-square-foot clubhouse is the perfect setting for your style. The grand chandeliers, high ceilings, and beautiful views are just some of our elements. No words can express how abundantly grateful I am for Janel, Kevin and Manager of English Turn Golf Country Club. Janel went over and beyond for my son’s wedding experience. I am planner/coordinate and she is too we work together like shining diamonds. Every day she check on us throughout and even after the wedding. Janel went above to accommodate us and the changes that occur.. Kevin food & beverage manager went over and beyond to accommodate our request finding menu to accommodate our budget . Janel even iron a bridesmaids dress because she didn’t bring to cleaners. Janel accommodate the bride rearranging the suite to please the bride . I have a forever friend .

I cannot say enough great things about English Turn. We had our wedding scheduled for the beginning of March (right when COVID broke out). They worked with us to reschedule our wedding three times, and were just as determined to have our wedding as we were. The day turned out AMAZING. One week later and people are still telling me how beautiful the venue was. Jessica was amazing and did everything within her power to make our day happen and make sure everyone stayed safe throughout the event including putting hand sanitizer around the venue and at every table, masks and gloves throughout the venue, all employees masked, and cleaning of frequently touched surfaces. I would definitely recommend them for our venue. They are reasonable cost, flexible, friendly, and absolutely beautiful.

The night of our reception, I had 3 attendants making sure my husband and I (and our families) had everything we needed (they even came to the rescue when I had a dress malfunction before our first dance!)The venue is beautiful, the food is very tasty, and the location is wonderful.I highly recommend English Turn as a reception venue no matter the size of your guest list!

Beautiful indoors and outdoors, I picked this venue because not only was it beautiful but because it had both indoor and outdoor options and Jessica and Ally made me feel very comfortable during the process. The wedding day it ended up sprinkling so we did the ceremony indoors which i was originally disappointed about but honest I think the ceremony indoors was even prettier and made for AMAZING pictures!! We ended up being able to take some pictures outside as well! I feel like I got the best of both indoor and outdoor. If you don’t have your ceremony indoors, I still recommend you take pictures indoor in the room with the wooden beam ceilings and chandeliers. The reception was also decorated very tastefully! It looked beautiful. They did a gorgeous head table and I had white linens that were included and the beautiful gold cavalier chairs (GORGEOUS) I will recommend to double check with dj if you decide to use their dj because we had a miscommunication and the songs that were played were not the ones I listed but Ally got that fixed right away! This was one of the prettiest venues I’ve seen! The stairs are gorgeous and your guest will be wowed!

Our day was just breathtaking.. My photos are some of the nicest wedding photos I've ever seen; the backdrop of the lake and golf course are so beautiful. My guests still talk about the sunset and swans that were part of the ceremony. Also the food is great! The Gumbos and soups are better than most restaurants. Thanks to English Turn!

My daughter was married here in September; It was everything I hoped it would be and so much more! The mansion is so beautiful and the staff are very attentive and have a genuine concern for the success of the event. My husband and I are so thankful to all who had a part in one of the best days of our lives.

Wedding ceremony and reception hosted by English Turn as was the rehearsal dinner. Words do not do this venue justice.. the grounds and setting are serine and breathtaking. Our wedding took place on outside on the patio overlooking the lake and fountain and came complete with swans swimming and cranes flying overhead. Thanks to the entire team especially Edwin & Jessica!

Our wedding took place on outside on the patio overlooking the lake and fountain and came complete with swans swimming and cranes flying overhead. Thanks to the entire team especially Edwin & Jessica!

There are not of not words to express how perfect the Reception was at English Turn. We learned in less than 24 hours before the Wedding that it needed to be moved up 6.50 hours because of an impending \"hurricane\". That was no problem for the English Turn Staff. It was absolutely Beautiful, the food and drinks were incredible. The Staff is the Best Ever. No other venue could have \"pulled this off\". Great venue and all around good views! Our guest said it was the best wedding they had been to. We took a star away because we didn't care for the DJ and was upset we couldn't have our own because it was a \"packeged\" deal. Although we gave a music list, our request weren't met. That's a major no no when you're trying to PARTY. Other than that, it all came together nicely.

My wedding at English Turn couldn't have been more perfect. It was exactly what I had imagined, and they made it come to life! I cannot thank Racheal and the staff there enough for all the hard work they put in to make my wedding a dream come true. And to my attendants that chased me around all night to make sure I had everything I needed - you both were awesome! Everyone still talks about the wedding and how it was the most beautiful ceremony they've been to and the most fun reception. Thank you guys again for everything!!

This team really knows how to roll out the red carpet. The staff was easily accessible in the planning phase and helped me plan out every detail. From the minute me and my guys got there, they were very friendly and very very helpful. Even throughout the wedding, the staff members there took care of us and made us feel like royalty. Great! All I can say. English Turn was beyond FABULOUS. Our guests stated it was something out of a movie. Our ceremony was outdoors near the lake and the reception was held in the dining/garden room area. Jessica was our planner and readily available throughout the planning process and during the ceremony/reception. Jessica was wonderful to work with and genuinely cared about us and our wedding. Mr. Kevin was the Buffet Manager and he was wonderful. He ensured all of our food needs were met. This was absolutely the best I could've asked for.

I knew a didn't have to worry about a thing at English Turn. Of course, you pay a little more for all of that service (and remember tips aren't included) but I would have had to pay and plan more for other things had they not been included. No regrets at all about English Turn!

At first, my fiance' and I chose English Turn because he was a professional golfer and it was close to my church. But as I interacted with the staff here in the months leading up to the wedding, the true value of English Turn really shined. They were attentive, creative, organized and incredibly helpful. Then we got to their Villa on the day before, which is a beautiful home feet from the clubhouse that sleeps 16. This place was updated, spacious, comfortable and perfect for preparation pictures. Our hair and makeup vendors were in awe of the amenities they had available to them when they arrived wedding day. We were also able to hold a 1/3 of the guests in the house for an after party following the wedding. Back at the clubhouse, the rehearsal dinner was delicious and the staff was SO amazing they literally became part of the party. And it continued into the reception the next night. The venue, already a southern treasure, was transformed into my white and gold dream wedding. The food was epic and unending, the bars kept up and were accommodating with extra requests, and again, the staff truly became part of the party. Not only did we get everything we wanted out of our big day and more, our guests were wow'd by English Turn and everything it had to offer. If I had to do it again, I would start with English Turn and never look back!!

English Turn is absolutely the perfect place for a ceremony and a reception! We got married March 12, 2016 and the weather wasn't ideal for an outdoor ceremony, so we decided to move it inside. Our wedding day at English Turn was beyond perfect! The Villa was the ideal place to stay the night before the wedding and so spacious for bridal prep on the wedding day. Let me just tell you how excited I was to visit the property for the first time. The pictures online does it no justice, this place is beautiful. Being a bride planning the perfect wedding, I cannot tell you how many venues I've seen. Once I came across English Turn, I just knew that this was the place. I made an appointment with Rachael for the a.m. When I arrived with my mother and mother-n-law, no one was there to greet us. Eventually someone came from a back area and I notified her that I had an appointment. The receptionist told me that Rachael was in a meeting. My first thought was why schedule an appointment with a potential client if you had a meeting at the same time? So we sat down and waited......and waited......and waited for a about 40 minutes. (first strike) No Rachael. We let the receptionist know that we are not going to wait any longer. The receptionist just shrugged her shoulders and said okay. (second strike) She didn't even seemed concerned or apologetic. So we left disappointed and angry because we traveled 45 minutes to meet her. The next day Rachael sent me an email apologizing for missing our meeting and stating that she was in a meeting and couldn't break away, which I felt was unacceptable. I emailed Rachael to let her know how disappointed I was and her response was absolutely unprofessional. Lets just say that this is the best $19k I will never spend with this place. The staff was entirely unprofessional. So back to the drawing board I go. I will make sure to not recommend this place to all of my fiancee' clubs.

When deciding on a venue for our reception, my wife and I felt English Turn was a no brainer. We had a fairly large wedding with about 250 people and the space was perfect. When we drove up in the limo, the grounds were beautiful, the clubhouse pristine and we hadn’t even walked inside yet! Once inside their staff had done a wonderful job with the white table cloths and gold chair ties to match our wedding colors. We didn't have a wedding planner but having Rachel and Brenna was a huge help. They provided a timeline of events for us to stick to through the night. They really kept us organized and the night flowed smoothly from start to finish. Racheal was always easily accessible by phone or email whenever my wife or I had questions. On the night of the reception, Mia was our personal attendant. She was amazing! She was our fairy godmother all night. The one hiccup, according to my wife, was her dress wasn’t hemmed properly and she was tripping with every step. Mia quickly pinned up her dress in all the right places so my wife could continue dancing the night away with me. More importantly, Mia always had a fresh drink ready for us whenever we needed one. The food was delicious and our guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed both the food and the venue. The bartenders were excellent as were the servers. They really took care of our guests. English Turn was a great choice, Racheal and Brenna really helped ease our anxiety that came along with planning a large wedding and they made sure all our small details came together on the big night.

When deciding on a venue for our reception, my wife and I felt English Turn was a no brainer. We had a fairly large wedding with about 250 people and the space was perfect. When we drove up in the limo, the grounds were beautiful, the clubhouse pristine and we hadn’t even walked inside yet! Once inside their staff had done a wonderful job with the white table cloths and gold chair ties to match our wedding colors. We didn't have a wedding planner but having Rachel and Brenna was a huge help. They provided a timeline of events for us to stick to through the night. They really kept us organized and the night flowed smoothly from start to finish. Racheal was always easily accessible by phone or email whenever my wife or I had questions. On the night of the reception, Mia was our personal attendant. She was amazing! She was our fairy godmother all night. The one hiccup, according to my wife, was her dress wasn’t hemmed properly and she was tripping with every step. Mia quickly pinned up her dress in all the right places so my wife could continue dancing the night away with me. More importantly, Mia always had a fresh drink ready for us whenever we needed one. The food was delicious and our guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed both the food and the venue. The bartenders were excellent as were the servers. They really took care of our guests. English Turn was a great choice, Racheal and Brenna really helped ease our anxiety that came along with planning a large wedding and they made sure all our small details came together on the big night.

My mom worked side by side with the friendly wedding coordinator Rachel. They were very accommodating to what we wanted. The food was amazing on the night of the wedding, my favorite was the shrimp and grits in a martini glass. All the servers that worked there were also always looking out for the wedding party. They were fast with drink service. Mia was amazing to the family! She fixed the bustle on my dress and made sure everyone in the bride and grooms family had everything they needed. I am really looking forward to seeing the beautiful pictures outside by the fountain and on the stairs.

The day of event I must say Andrew was pleasant and eager to assist in anyway needed; Dwan the front desk lady always greets you with warming spirit and made sure we were taken care of during set-up; and as always Mia banquet captain has and will go over and beyond to assist and execute in all areas of service...from Captain, Server, Bartender, Busser, Cake cutter...there isn't anything this lady won't do to assure that the client(s)& or guest(s) are happy during their event from start to finish. I got married at English Turn a few weeks ago and it was even better than I imagined. Not only has the club been updated but the service is impeccable. My ceremony was outside overlooking the water and reception in the gorgeous ballroom. All my guests kept repeating how amazing the food was!!!! It was truly a dream come true. \r\rKatie was absolutely amazing! She was always on top of everything and kept me calm! I will be sure to refer all of my friends to English Turn.

First, we took advantage of a deal for 100 people which included the ceremony, food, table linens, DJ, open bar with beer and wine. Now, our ceremony was on a Friday, which lowered the costs, but all we had to do was show up with the flowers and any other decorations we wanted. Rachael and Katie, the coordinators, were very hands on and readily available to answer any and all questions we had during the planning process, and they remained calm with us on the day of. When the day finally arrived, my husband and I were blown away by the level of personal service we received for our private dinner. The entire evening was better than we ever expected, and was certainly a WOW experience for our guests. The beautiful setting allows for many, MANY picturesque moments.\r\rIf you are in the beginning stages of planning your wedding, please take some time and drive out to see English Turn yourself. We chose to have the ceremony and the reception at English Turn. They had just redone the ceremony area 2 weeks before our wedding and landscaped. It look BEAUTIFUL!!!! Being that I grew up in the subdivision, in the end it was a no-brainer on where to get married, however, I did not expect it to be as amazing as it was! The staff was very involved from the contract to the secondline and alleviated the extra cost of hiring a \"day of\" wedding planner. Everyone was very personable, professional and hands-on. The venue is gorgeous on its own so if you don't have a large decor budget, no worries! You already have a beautiful backdrop! We had our ceremony on the back of the country club facing the golf course and I couldn't have asked for a better view on the day I married my best friend! Being that it was a spring wedding, we had a 6pm ceremony that worked perfectly with daylight savings time. The picture shown on the homepage of this venue is my husband and I after our ceremony. I still cannot imagine a better sunset! Having the grand staircase to walk down on from inside the club makes you feel like a princess! Then it is an easy transition for your guests into the clubhouse for the reception. We had 260 guests on our wedding night and never at one point was the room crowded.To this day, I still have multiple people (no exaggeration) tell me that our wedding was the best they have ever been to! You cannot go wrong with this venue, the staff, the food (was phenomenal!), the service and the attention to detail. English Turn was hands down the best place for my husband and I to spend our special day! P.S. my groomsmen took advantage of the golf course the day before the wedding and loved it!!!!

Instead of a traditional church wedding and reception we chose to have both our ceremony and reception at English Turn and it was MAGICAL and everything I had ever dreamed of. \r\rOn the day of the wedding we were a little worried that it might be too cool to have the wedding ceremony outdoors, but everything worked out wonderfully, we were married right before sunset and it was absolutely perfect.\r\rOur reception was held in the Grand Ballroom which was beautifully decorated with candles throughout and looked like something out of a fairy tale.\r\rEveryone is still raving about the food and saying it was the best food they ever had at a wedding and how they were surprised that it was available to everyone until the very end of the reception. \r\rRacheal and Katie were so accommodating in meeting our requests regarding the wedding. For the reception, the candles throughtout the room reflected off the ceiling and made the whole scene look like something out of a fairy tale, so breathtaking and surreal.\r\rDespite the madness of the evening Katie, Racheal and Maya(I think that was her name) made sure that we got to eat and always had drinks in our hands. The food, oh my goodness, the food. Everyone raved about it for days afterwards because it was that incredible. I could probably live off of those crab cakes that just melted in your mouth! Needless to say the food was to die for!\r\rTo my suprise, when it was time for the magical night to end all of our stuff was ready and packed with a beautiful basket filled with cake and champagne. It was so sweet and such a perfect end to a stress free evening. I could go on for days but I will end it with this. Instead of having a traditional church ceremony and following reception, as most Native New Orleanians do, we chose to have both our ceremony and reception at English Turn. \r\rIn New Orleans, the name English Turn is synonymous with elegance and class. Our wedding embodied both those characteristics. When planning our wedding, there were some aspects that were top priority. These were: guest parking, food and beverage packages, outdoor ceremony availability and location of venue. \r\rET was a dream come true for me! Our coordinator Katie worked with me to ensure any wedding detail I asked for was executed. \r\rThe outdoor ceremony was a nail biter with the possibility of bad weather, but\rit turned out to be PERFECT. ET was beyond professional with an inclement weather plan to roll out in the event it was needed. The entire staff was friendly, professional and provided stand out service. Anything I asked for they saw to it that it was provided. They facilitated our event seamlessly. \r\rAfter the reception, our coordinators Katie and Rachael saw to it that we were well packed with all of our belongings and a wedding basket of champagne, cake and some some bites. Not one item was left behind. \r\rMy guests raved about the how excellent the food tasted and how the hand passed food servers never missed a beat. The bartenders were prompt and kept my guests happy.\r\rIf I could relieve our wedding all over again, I would in a heartbeat. I wouldn't change a thing about our experience at ET. My husband and I were married 4 days ago at English Turn and it was AMAZING! Instead of having a traditional church ceremony and following reception, as most Native New Orleanians do, we chose to have both our ceremony and reception at English Turn. \r\rIn New Orleans, the name English Turn is synonymous with elegance and class. Our wedding embodied both those characteristics. When planning our wedding, there were some aspects that were top priority. English Turn was awesome. The place is beautiful, we brought in our own decorations and flowers and they did the rest. By the end of the wedding planning process I felt as though Racheal and Katie were more like friends, then a wedding vendor. They went above and beyond to provide the best service they could. \r\rIf the Dining Room that overlooks the 18th hole, The Atrium and Grand Ball Room does not sell you, then the food alone should. The food was WONDERFUL. My guests are still talking about how good the food was. \r\rThis was the right venue for us. They truly helped all my wedding dreams come true. I would not change a thing!\r

English Turn was the perfect place for our wedding. When we visited English Turn for the first time Katie Davis made us feel so comfortable. We knew right away that English Turn was the venue for us. We did everything at English Turn, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. We also rented the villa for the weekend, which was very convenient. Everything went flawlessly (except for the rain the forced my outside ceremony inside but the staff handled it effortlessly). We got so many compliments on our venue. Some guests even told us that the food at our wedding was some of the best wedding food they had had. \rWords cannot express how fabulous Katie was. She was so easy to work with and communicate with. She made sure everything was taken care of and that the ceremony and reception flowed flawlessly. I felt as if Katie cared about our wedding as much as we did. I will never forget the moment she and I had right before I walked down the aisle. She kept me calm and reminded me to just take everything in and enjoy the evening. The rest of the staff was so attentive. The bridal attendant Mia was amazing, between her and Katie I was never without lip gloss or a drink. \rWe could not have asked for a better experience. English Turn went above and beyond and that is what really sets them apart from other wedding venues. My husband and I highly recommend English Turn for weddings and any other events!

From the delicious food, amazing attendants, and of course Cammy and Katie, the best coordinators ever, I loved every second of our reception. I have and will continue to recommend English Turn as the perfect place for a wedding reception! \r\rMy husband and I knew right away that we wanted to have our reception at English Turn Country Club. I had grown up going there with my parents, and my husband had played golf with my dad there the entire time we dated and were engaged. We loved the beauty of the club house and the grounds. \r\rFrom the first time we met Cammy and Katie, we knew that we had made the right decision. Cammy helped with every decision that needed to be made and even recommended vendors when we needed suggestions. We wanted a very personalized wedding reception and Cammy was willing to accommodate all of our requests down to hanging lanterns and lights in the atrium, and a personalized \"eat, drink, we're married\" banner hung at the bar. No matter what my requests were, Cammy was willing to work with them and helped with every aspect of the set up. It was so nice to know that I had someone who was so willing to make me and my husband happy in every way. It truly made the wedding planning process and of course the night of our wedding as stress free as possible. \r\rWe rented the Villa for the Friday and Saturday of our wedding. It was so nice to stay there the night before and have a place for everyone to get ready. The girls got ready at the villa while the guys hung out, ate and got ready in the Men's Grill. We were able to take professional pictures before the ceremony with our wedding parties and families, and English Turn and its grounds provided the perfect backdrop for our pictures. \r\rThe reception itself was amazing. Our guests still comment on how delicious the food was and how they loved having places to not only dance, and trust me our guests loved to dance, but to also sit and talk. The guests had the option of sitting in the main room where the band and dance floor were, or in the back room where it was much more quiet. My husband and I were well taken care of from the second we stepped out of our limo until we were presented with our basket stocked with food and champagne as we walked out. \r\rI could not have asked for a better experience than what I had with English Turn. I loved getting to know Cammy and Katie and loved sharing my special day with them. If you can't already tell, I would highly recommend English Turn Country Club for a wedding site/reception. I know that my husband and I will continue to use English Turn for our events in the future.

We went to meet with Cammy and Katie and they were awesome! The space was PERFECT! The one thing we loved, was that the space is so beautiful, it spoke for itself. At the food tasting, Chef went through all of our options and each item on our menu. When it came to the day of the wedding, Katie and Cammy had everything under control. English Turn was an amazing place to host our wedding. We had the ceremony and reception there. It was absolutely stunning! I loved our sunset ceremony in front of the pond with GORGEOUS swans! Katie was so helpful! When I took my bridal pictures she was there, she helped with the rehearsal too...not to mention when I ever needed anything she always had answers and was there to calm my nerves! I loved that we were able to rent the Villa for the Friday and Saturday night. All the bridesmaids slept there the Friday before the wedding and we got ready there Saturday. The staff was so helpful, the bridal attendant Mia was AMAZING! She always made sure that I had my lip-gloss on and a drink in my hand:) I think everyone went above and beyond to make sure things were done perfectly. We have used English Turn for several events. The great food and service we are given each time keeps us coming back. We started planning more than a year in advance. Cammy did an excellent job helping to make this day perfect from beginning to end. The wedding and reception were both held here. We had over 400 guests. The wedding was outside in the back. It was absolutely gorgeous. You don't need decorations out there because it is really beautiful. We rented out the whole top floor to accommodate our guests for the reception. There was so much food. Everything was hot and fresh. We never ran out and they even boxed up food for my husband and me to take with us. It's very hard to have time to eat at your own wedding. Everything goes by so fast. It was well worth it. It has been a year since our big day and our guests are still talking about the amazing time they had at our wedding. I would recommend English Turn to anyone looking for a venue that will turn your dream day into a reality.

I was very excited to book my wedding at this location. They have everything you need for a destination wedding...or so they say. I made several requests for \"the big day\". Services that were offered to me, no less. Yet none of them were made. Cammy (the coordinator), \"thought\" I wanted something completely different. \r\rA week before, they informed me that the ceremony cite that I had chosen would be used for a wedding later that day and that the other party would need to start setting up chairs at that location early in the morning. She also \"thought\" I requested the garden room for the ceremony, but my fiancé and I objected to using that space from the very beginning. She then informed me that we were unable to use their linens on chairs for the reception because the other party would be using them. She then proceeded to tell me that \"people usually rent those\" and they couldn't allow both parties to use them because they would need to be cleaned (which I understand). BUT WHY DO YOU OFFER THESE THINGS IF YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH FOR ALL EVENTS GOING ON!!?? AND WHY WAS I ONLY INFORMED OF THIS A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE!! \r\rShe made me feel like my event was not important. :( No bride should ever feel like that. \r\rI was also told that I needed to hire a coordinator to help with the rehearsal, because she would not be there. What?? Absolutely not! \r\rThe big day arrives: To my surprise, Katie Davis (another employee at the English Turn) was there to help me with all of my needs. She was ABSOLUTELY SUPERB!! Although the location of the ceremony had changed and I did not get the chairs covered....she made sure that everything went smoothly. She saved the day!! Despite my disappointment, we had a beautiful ceremony and reception. \r\rIn closing, I would also like to add, that the food served was AMAZING!! I am a very picky eater, that loves cajun food (hence the reason we got married in New Orleans) and it was definitely up to my standards!! All of my guests loved everything on the menu as well. \r\rLesson learned, if you are looking to book an event at this beautiful facility, ask for Katie Davis!!

Absolutely wonderful! I was a bit worried at first when we booked it because it is a little out of the way but everything was absolutely perfect. The girls there are so easy to work with and my big day was just the way I had envisioned it!

WOW- From my first moment at English Turn until the last minute of my reception I felt like a true princess with a fairy tale wedding. Cammy, the wedding coordinator, was incredible throughout my 18 months of planning. She was so helpful, patient and I felt like I had a new best friend that truely cared about every aspect of my special day. Mia, my attendant the night of my wedding was the sweetest person- she made sure everything was running smoothly and truely couldn't have done without her. \rThe venue alone is gorgeous- the landscaping and golf course give you an incredible view and the ceremony and reception rooms are amazing! I had an indoor wedding and the photos are gorgeous. I would do it all over again!

We interviewed the coordinator to have our reception here, and were overly impressed. The view of the lake outside the window...breathtaking! The Atrium for the wedding...beautiful! We didn't choose here simply because we decided to stick with a traditional church wedding, but I would host any formal gathering I have here.
