My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at Esprit back in November. The staff was wonderful, especially Daisy, who helped us with everything we needed leading up to and including the evening of our event. The venue itself is simply and beautiful and looked stunning in our pictures.

My husband and I absolutely loved using Esprit de Coeur as our wedding venue! The inside is so elegant and beautiful, it doesn't need much extra decorating for your special event. We are still receiving comments from our guests about how perfect our venue choice was!The whole process was very smooth and we didn't encounter any problems whatsoever. Angelle and her staff are all very friendly and professional, as well as prompt when responding to any questions we had. The upstairs bridal suite was perfect for getting ready in with my bridesmaids. The suite is stylish and feminine, I felt like a princess getting ready in front of the big mirror! It was very convenient getting ready upstairs at the venue instead of somewhere else, like a hotel. I am confused by some of the less than 5 star ratings, nothing about our experience was negative at all. I wish I could rate Esprit de Coeur higher than 5 stars, it was perfect!

I booked this venue to take my bridal pictures and was extremely disappointed. My photographer and I did arrive early because of the rain and thought maybe we could unload my car with my dress,bouquet,etc.before the rain started. We were met outside by a lady name Christina who already had a chip on her shoulder. She then tapped her wrist and said \"oh you're early\". She then proceeded to tell me \"I needed to hurry up because there is another party happening soon and wasn't sure what time the people would start showing up\" and \"I couldn't use the outside grounds because they had yard workers working\" she then stated \"your time will start now\" we literally hadn't even walked up the front steps to the house yet. The house was stifling when we we're let in, not to mention we could not use the downstairs because tables were set up and men with yard equipment were in Windows. Me and my photographer both felt we had been treated very poorly. I emailed Angelle who offered a partial refund and when I stated I wanted a full refund her true colors showed of how rude she is. She accused me of lying and telling me the A.C. was set on 75...its July 31st and I have a huge wedding gown on. I spent a lot of money to be able to take pictures there that day and not only was I not able to do so I was treated terrible. Should be ashamed of your selves.

Absolutely Beautiful PlaceEsprit de Coeur was the venue for my best friend's baby shower. It was an awesome experience from start to finish. Angelle was such a doll and awesome to work with from answering all questions timely, to going out of her way to ensure the place would indeed be perfect for the day of the event. The place doesn't require much besides a few centerpieces and linen. It was an easy setup. We were able to bring in our own food and was able to utilize the kitchen which was huge and all the appliances were available for use. I would definitely recommend this place for any special event.

The venue is beyond gorgeous!!! The staff friendly and accommodating!! Everything from the ceremony to the reception was perfection. I did not have to worry about a thing on my wedding day. The venue is beyond gorgeous!!! The staff friendly and accommodating!! Everything from the ceremony to the reception was perfection. I did not have to worry about a thing on my wedding day. Angelle is awesome!! I never had to wait or recontact her to get any information she was always prompt answering my questions, complete sweetheart as well!!! Also have to give a nod to Christina. She was so helpful on the day of, always checking on us making sure we had everything we needed. She went above and beyond. With the beauty of the venue and the tenacity of Angelle and Christina, I give 10 stars!!!!!!

We recently had our rehearsal dinner at Esprit de Coeur and absolutely loved everything about it! The entire process from planning the event all the way up until the event was a breeze since the staff handles everything! They were also super sweet and so easy to work with. We have received so many compliments about how delicious the food was how nice the venue is. It truly is a hidden gem in Lafayette and I would recommend to anyone! Thanks Esprit de Coeur for a very memorable night!

Once you walk into Esprit de Coeur you know you have found the right place for your wedding/reception. The inside is beautiful, so there is not a lot of decorating needed as the building speaks for itself. Angelle and her staff go out of their way to make your day perfect, very attentive and helpful along the entire process. The food was really tasty, the carved beef was amazing and their boudin egg rolls had the perfect taste of spice with a little crunch. The honeymoon suite was a nice bonus touch, if you decide to stay the night. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to everyone I know! If your looking for a hidden gem for your wedding/reception this is the place!!

We LOVED Esprit de Coeur! We used the event facility for our rehearsal dinner and the bed & breakfast for our wedding night. Everything was perfect. Angelle is a delight to work with and is very organized and accommodating. The venue itself is beautiful - we only had to bring in a few table centerpieces and photos for decorations and left the rest as is. Our rehearsal dinner guests had a great time, and I especially loved that we had the whole place to ourselves (as opposed to using a restaurant). The food was AMAZING and our day-of coordinator, Wade, was wonderful. The honeymoon suite was lovely as well - there is a private sitting area and balcony overlooking the street that we really enjoyed. Absolutely wonderful experience from beginning to end. Highly recommended!

I've had two events here. My birthday party, and my bridal shower. The place is beautiful, and clean (Except the refrigerator) unless they've changed that since I've mentioned, however both times I've used them, the air did not work properly. It was awfully hot for my bridal shower. We followed suggestions of not going in and out, but it was still hot and the unit froze up not producing cool air. \r\rFor my shower I incurred things that did not happen my first time I used them, but if I write about it, & our disagreements it will be all day. Lol Let just say, I will not be using or referring this place again for my own personal reasons. \r\rGreat vintage place for a shower or very small wedding though, as there's not many places in Lafayette to choose from.

Having attended numerous events here over the last few years, there was no doubt that I wanted this venue as part of our wedding events. Angelle and her staff were amazing to work with and both events could not have gone more smoothly. The service was impeccable and the food was top-notch. Esprit de Coeur was the venue for both my Couple's Shower and Rehearsal Dinner. Having attended numerous events here over the last few years, there was no doubt that I wanted this venue as part of our wedding events. Angelle and her staff were amazing to work with and both events could not have gone more smoothly. The service was impeccable and the food was top-notch. So many of our guests also commented on the building itself, a great gem in our city. Overall, a wonderful experience!

I absolutely fell in love with this place as soon as I stepped foot through the door! Omg! I had seen pictures on the website and also through other peoples Facebook and honestly the picture does it not justice. The entire setup of the room was amazing and convenient! I especially loved how there was a separated room with a separate entrance and exit for the food tables/setup!! We were also allowed to sync our cellphones to their system to have music playing for our event. My sister (the guest of honor) as well as the guests were infatuated with this venue and inquired about it for their potential events in the future! This establishment was very clean and neat. The staff was also very delightful and very helpful. I would highly recommend this place a hundred times over!!

My wedding day was wonderful and that was largely thanks to Angelle and Esprit de Couer. We had the ceremony and reception at Esprit de Couer; everything was set up beautifully and went smoothly. I loved that they took care of catering and decorations and that I didn't have to make too many decisions or micromanage anything on my big day. The only less-than-wonderful part of the experience was that my cake decorations somehow got lost following the wedding. I had bought sugar flowers and dragonflies for the cake and wanted to save some as keepsakes, but didn't specifically tell Angelle or any of the staff this. They didn't go home with us and they weren't at the venue the next day, so I can only assume they were thrown away. Make sure you make it clear if you want to save cake decorations and maybe provide a box specifically for them.

My fiancee' found this place online while searching for venues to host our wedding reception. Angelle was very professional, courteous and attentive and made the entire process easy and painless. Aside from the few preparations we decided to do ourselves, everything was ready for us. All we had to do was show up. \r\rThe venue itself, the house and grounds, was beautiful and charming, very well done, and there was plenty of space for all of our guests and the typical wedding fare and of course.. Lots of dancing! We opted to use the sleeping accommodations upstairs so we were able to party all evening and just stay there for the night. Such a great idea! Also, they recently finished off the entire upper half of the house to accommodate nearly and entire wedding party with several rooms and a full kitchen! Included with the stay was an option to have breakfast brought to our room or a gift cert for the French Press, a little bistro a block away around the corner. Take the cert! The food was great at Esprit de Coeur but if you've never been to the french you've got to go! GREAT place for breakfast! Speaking of the food, the menu and drink selection at Esprit De Coeur was good and the food was fantastic and there was plenty of it!\r\rAs great as the food and venue are I think the best part of their business is the great staff and customer service that they provide. Everyone was super friendly and personable and even now, as we continue to attend other events there, we are always treated as welcome friends, not just customers. They really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable. \r\rWe would highly recommend Esprit De Coeur to anyone looking for a venue to host their next upcoming wedding, reception or event!

My husband and I first went to Esprit de Coeur for a Murder Mystery Dinner one Valentine's day and I fell in love with the place. When we discussed having a reception here, he was so nervous about not having enough room for all of our guests. With Angelle's reassurance, I was sold. She was so patient and professional throughout the whole process, even when my florist didn't see eye to eye with her for table arrangements. To make me feel better and ease some stress, Angelle and I met and she moved tables all around her venue so that I can visualize the reception. She was always available via email and phone. She was so easy to communicate with and we just adore her.\r\rThe reception was so elegant and everything I imagined plus more. We had a formal, sit down dinner followed by a four hour party. Esprit took care or food, drinks, and decorations for us; which made it super easy for me. Angelle found roses that fit perfect and may have introduced me to a new favorite. :) The staff was friendly and professional throughout the whole night. Once the time was up, they did not begin cleaning until the guests were out of the building. Even at midnight, they were all smiles.

Angelle and her staff at Esprit de Coeur have an amazing attention to detail. From the first visit to the final review, and then the wedding day, Angelle made it so easy to plan for my daughter's wedding. From the beautiful decor to the delicious food - you couldn't want for anything more. She was so accommodating to any requests that we had. Our family and guests had nothing but good things to say about the reception. We highly recommend this place !!

Angelle and her staff at Esprit de Coeur have an amazing attention to detail. From the first visit to the final review, and then the wedding day, Angelle made it so easy to plan for my daughter's wedding. From the beautiful decor to the delicious food - you couldn't want for anything more. She was so accommodating to any requests that we had. Without going into detail, I will just say that I had a HORRIBLE experience with this venue for my reception. The food was good, with the exception of it coming out slow, but the overall experience was a disaster. As a bride, I was appalled at the lack of professionalism from the owner during the entire process. Everything was when it was convenient for her. She definitely put a damper in my wedding experience. Choosing this venue for our reception is my one and only regret.

Espirit de Couer is wonderful, romantic and elegant. The owner is great to work with. There are many options to choose from. It's easy and, therefore, lessens stress. The food is tasty, especially the boudin egg rolls.\rI heartily recommend this beautiful venue.

Every bride dreams of her big day, and every bride wants her big day to go as smoothly as possible. Enter Esprit de Coeur. The building is gorgeous, the catering was phenomenal, the staff was accommodating (and friendly), the honeymoon suite was perfect, and the owners are top-notch when it comes to professionalism. I would have expected this much satisfaction and class to also come with a huge price tag, but, happily, it did not. We couldn't have dreamt a more perfect celebration. If we would have to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing. I definitely give Esprit de Coeur the highest recommendation to anyone.
