I stumbled upon The Exeter Inn when I was looking for a private dining room for a small group after a wedding. Due to illness and children living in other states, we really needed to make this wedding happen on May 15. With only 10 days until the wedding, I reached out to Eileen Piccolo at the inn… and that’s where the magic began. An hour later, my fiancé and I were touring the venue. The minute I saw the inn and met Eileen, I was sold. Although we already had a location for our wedding, I loved the charm of the inn so much that we decided to switch location and do the ceremony AND celebration at The Exeter Inn. Eileen was so accommodating and understanding of our special needs for the day. She went above and beyond what I ever anticipated. We got married outdoors at their gazebo and it was perfect. We did photos on the property and they came out beautiful. The venue, our meals, the drinks and the service were all top notch. I am so glad I found Eileen and The Exeter Inn… they made our wedding day perfect ❤️

We were very happy with my daughter's experience at Exeter Inn. The venue has beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces so you're covered in whatever the weather brings. As for the planning, right from the first meeting, Eileen, the marketing director, ran through all aspects of the day so we knew exactly what to expect. On the wedding day, Eileen was the perfect combination of supportive coach, stage manager, and drill sergeant, ensuring that everything was in place and on time. As parents, we were able to enjoy the day without worry.

I hate the fact that I am writing this review. However, after going into the knot app to change my venue, I can not help but urge future brides to not do business with the Exeter Inn. I received a call 2 days ago that the inn was cancelling my wedding. All my vendors are booked, my invites have been sent out, and my honeymoom is planned. I now have 80 days to find a new venue during a pandemic. The entire staff are amazing and deserve so much better then to work for a company that does this to their employees and to couples that have spent months preparing for their big day.

When I booked Zorvino Vineyards as my wedding venue I was in need of a hotel nearby and found the Exeter Inn. We had a lot of out of town guests and we were able to book the entire hotel. During planning we decided to have our rehearsal dinner at the Exeter Inn as well. During the whole planning process Laura was an absolute joy to work with. She was always quick to respond, answer all my crazy questions and over a wonderful person. The hotel was so accommodating even with the crowd that we brought in. The rehearsal dinner was wonderful (we opted for the buffet) which was very good. Everyone also raved about the breakfast at the Epoch Bar. We had one issue with one of our rooms which was handled quickly so no real issue. All of our guests fell in love with the quaint hotel and the stunning courtyard. I would absolutely recommend staying at and working with the Exeter Inn.

I had my reception dinner here and stayed here the night before and the night of my wedding (i got married at Alnoba and suggest you avoid it at all costs) However, Laura and the entire Exeter Inn staff could not have been more accommodating. They were so warm responsive and helpful i immediately regretted not getting married there. If i could do it again I would get married at The Exeter Inn.

I grew up in Exeter and knew when I got engaged, I would want to party at the ol' Exeter Inn. The inn is beautiful, the food was great, the garden courtyard perfect. But the five stars here are for all the truly wonderful people who work at the inn that were so kind and so amazing on the day of -and days leading up to- our wedding. Laura, our wedding coordinator, worked to make everything perfect. She even ordered me kumquats! KUMQUATS, people. I loved my wedding day, and will definitely use the Exeter Inn for my next wedding.

I cannot say enough about The Exeter Inn and how wonderful everyone was before, during and after our daughter's wedding. Laura, the wedding planner, was always available, knowledgeable, kind, understanding and accommodating. The Inn was beautifully decorated (the wedding was on New Year's Eve). Everyone from the front desk personnel to the wait staff to the bartenders was top notch. Every dinner was served with grace, was hot and cooked perfectly. Many of our guests stayed at the inn overnight in their comfortable the rooms with freshly baked cookies on their pillows and all. I highly recommend The Exeter Inn for your wedding. We had 94 guests and everything fit just fine.

My wedding was everything that I ever could have hoped for. Sherri was amazing and went above and beyond in every way. She assisted wherever needed no matter the task. All of my guests mentioned how fantastic the food was as well as the venue itself! The venue was perfect for our 80 guests. It was very intimate and accommodated our needs. \r\rMany guests stayed at the Inn that evening and we enjoyed a fabulous brunch the next day in Epoch. The staff was phenomenal from the servers in the restaurant to the front desk reception. The Exeter Inn was a perfect choice for our wedding! I would recommend it to anyone!

We wanted to write and thank the Exeter Inn for, well, EVERYTHING. We were married there last weekend. The Inn Staff was wonderful, the food was amazing and Sherri Ferns took care of every last detail right down to helping bustle my dress when it wouldn't work. We wanted for nothing the entire day. The chef created the most amazing dishes at our request. We had the perfect New England Wedding.\r\rThank you to the front desk staff for dealing with our gift bags\r\rThe Exeter Inn is a perfect location for your wedding.

I had my September 2013 wedding at the Exeter Inn and could not be more pleased with the choice. With about 75 attendees, the Inn was the perfect size to accommodate our group. The staff was very easy to work with and helped us tremendously as we planned the wedding from another state. Sherri in particular was an absolute joy to work with. She was experienced and professional but also very warm and enthusiastic. Exeter is lucky to have her! The event spaces, including the courtyard, worked perfectly for our wedding. The Inn staff was fantastic, as was the food! I highly recommend the Exeter Inn as a wedding venue.

The Exeter Inn has recently experienced some turnover. In the middle of my wedding planning, I was contacted by a new event coordinator who would be taking over my event. \r\rI have to say that the only reason my wedding was great was because of the work that I did. The event coordinator (Director of Sales, Sherri) either does not understand her job or is just not good at it. She left the wedding (without telling us) after only two hours, leaving her staff to fend for themselves. Things that we had specifically asked for were not executed. The staff did not know what we had asked for and apparently were not told. Over $200 of desserts that we requested be passed by servers were not even brought out. We found them at the end of the reception, tucked away in a room, wasted.\r\rAll in all, The Exeter Inn is a beautiful venue and the wedding was great. However, they need to hire a new Director of Sales.

My husband and I got married in June 2011, the day was a bit rainy but everything else was just perfect! Shannon, along with all of the staff at the Inn, made sure that our guests were comfortable and had everything they needed throughout the weekend.\rThe Inn gave our wedding the personal feel we were seeking. New England charm at it's finest. The food was wonderful, all of our guests commented on how nicely the presentation was. \rShannon made sure their were a few surprises and truly made our experience simply perfect!

Shannon and Tom were very accommodating and helped us through the entire process.\r Our wedding day was perfect. I had an amazing time on my wedding day. The food was amazing. The location is gorgeous & looks great photographs. Shannon was always pleasant to work with. My only complaint would be that our bar was left unattended a number of times.

When we considered a venue to hold our wedding The Exeter Inn was exactly what we were looking for. The Inn has very classy atmosphere with a personal feel. We loved being able to use the garden outside for the ceremony and then have dinner and dancing inside their beautiful ballroom. Shannon, the wedding coordinator was such a pleasure to work with as well as all the staff involved with our day. Everyone really made a huge effort to make sure everything was set up and taken care of just how we envisioned it. The food was absolutely amazing!! A definite 5 star restaurant with a great selection of oeuvres and main courses. Looking back on our wedding day, there is nothing we have changed or added. The Exeter Inn truly made our wedding day everything we wanted.

We hosted our wedding reception at The Exeter Inn. We had an evening reception in early October. Everything about our event was perfect. \r\rWe chose to use the lovely outdoor courtyard space for cocktail hour, and then to move inside for dinner and dancing. This worked for us, but using so many spaces did add up in terms of cost, just something to be aware of!\r\rShannon Cote and her team were very attentive and helped ensure that everything ran smoothly. The food and service were everything we expected them to be and more.\r\rMy husband and I had booked a room at the Inn for the wedding night, and we were delighted to walk in and see it decorated with fresh flowers and some decor from our reception. Even more exciting was the tray of assorted desserts from our event, and a few slices of wedding cake and a small split of champagne! It was so cute, and such a nice way to wind down from a long and wonderful day!\r\rThe following morning our parent's hosted a breakfast at the Inn for our guests and once again everything was great. The staff was friendly and accomodating and the food selection was perfect for the morning after a late night. There were even little \"to-go\" boxes put out for people who had to get on the road, but wanted to take a muffin for the ride!\r\rI would highly recommend The Exeter Inn as a wedding reception venue. It was exactly what we were looking for, and overall we are very happy with the service we received!

The food and service were everything we expected them to be and more.\r\rMy husband and I had booked a room at the Inn for the wedding night, and we were delighted to walk in and see it decorated with fresh flowers and some decor from our reception. Even more exciting was the tray of assorted desserts from our event, and a few slices of wedding cake and a small split of champagne! It was so cute, and such a nice way to wind down from a long and wonderful day!\r\rThe following morning our parent's hosted a breakfast at the Inn for our guests and once again everything was great. The staff was friendly and accomodating and the food selection was perfect for the morning after a late night. There were even little \"to-go\" boxes put out for people who had to get on the road, but wanted to take a muffin for the ride!\r\rI would highly recommend The Exeter Inn as a wedding reception venue. It was exactly what we were looking for, and overall we are very happy with the service we received!

SHannon was just great with all the details for my ceremony & wedding reception. Bob was just fantastic too. All the staff treated my wedding guests like royalty. The food was just wonderful. Many compliments from my guests. I would highly recomend the Exeter Inn for your ceremony outside and reception inside!

We just had our wedding 2-26-11 and it was amazing! Every piece of planning to the actual day was taken care of with the coordinator and other Inn directors. The staff were one step ahead of us the entire way and took excellent care of my husband and I, our family and guests the entire time. I would definately recommend this venue to everyone!

I had my wedding at The Exeter Inn on February 5, 2011. I had looked at a lot of wedding venues, but none of them had everything I was looking for. I had heard about The Exeter Inn and decided to take a look. After one visit, I knew this is where I had to have my wedding. The elegance, charm and New England feel of the inn was exactly what I was looking for. I met with Shannon Cote, the Catering Sales Manager at the inn and meeting with her confirmed I had made the right decision. Shannon was so wonderful to work with. She is very professional & organized and yet I felt like I had known her for years. As my wedding day arrived, I had no idea how spectacular everything would turn out. Every aspect of our day was perfect. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience. The food was amazing. The staff was amazing. The day was everything I could have dreamed of. If I could do it all over again – I wouldn’t change a thing. Everyone at the inn strives to make your event the most beautiful and incredible experience you could ever imagine. Thank you so much for making the day one that I will never forget.

We got married here on October 30th 2010, and everything was amazing. Shannon, our event manager, was helpful and attentive throughout the entire process. She handled everything beautifully, and is extremely knowledgeable. The rest of the staff was friendly as well. The little surprises, including a display in the bridal suite of our favoriet candies and drinks upon arrival, and then a lovely surprise display of chocolate covered strawberries and champagne after the reception, were wonderful. I can't say enough good things about the Exeter Inn. We had our ceremony and reception there, and we couldn't have asked for a better day!

What a great venue for a New England wedding. The function rooms are interesting and spacious. There were plenty of rooms for out of town guests. The staff was very accommodating. All of my guests commented on how wonderful the food was. All in all, I give them 5 stars. \rLinda
