Our experience with The Fairmont Pittsburgh was nothing short of a fairytale. Joanna & Team made our wedding weekend experience seamless! As a type-A personality, planning a wedding was nothing short of insanity & stress inducing for me, but having Joanna guide my husband and I on our choices put me at total ease & comfort! We met with Joanna a handful of times, & she'd always be available to me to answer questions (even if it was via text at 11 pm LOL). As a day-of coordinator, you really couldn't ask for someone more responsive & organized! The entire staff was more than accommodating & we felt our needs were more than met. This place would be gorgeous without the staff, that's a given, but the PEOPLE here made our wedding weekend as perfect as it was. A total class act. Would recommend 10000/10.

I cannot recommend the Fairmont enough! When we toured the venue, we immediately made the decision this is where we are getting married, and we are so happy we did. We were able to have everything on site. We held our welcome party at Fl. 2, ceremony, reception, and our Sunday farewell brunch at the Fairmont. Joanna, Senior Wedding Catering Sales Manager, went above and beyond in her role, and was an instrumental part of our vendor team. She was timely in her responses for any questions we had. Her professionalism and ability to work with all of the other vendors was incredible. We cannot thank her enough for everything she did to make our wedding weekend even better than we could imagine. The entire Fairmont team was exceptional and were there to help with anything us and our guests needed. From the moment we checked in, we felt at ease. Brian, the bellman, was so kind and helped us throughout our entire wedding weekend. He was professional, timely and precise. He made sure all of our things were in the right place, at the right time, and did it all with a smile on his face! The wedding food was hands down the BEST I have ever had. The taste and presentation were unmatched. Also, they catered to our guests’ dietary restrictions with ease and professionalism. The waitering staff confirmed multiple times with the guests to make sure the dietary restrictions were correct. This was not your traditional banquet food and service you think of; it was dining at a 5-star restaurant. With our wedding package, it came with a cake. The pastry chef is top notch! The cake was so beautiful, definitely a show stopper! Not only did it look amazing, but it tasted amazing as well. It is hard to get a beautiful cake, with the delicious cake, but the pastry chef at the Fairmont did just that! If you are from Pittsburgh, you know how important the Pittsburgh Cookie Table is. The Fairmont set it up to perfection and made sure it was refilled consistently. I cannot thank the entire staff of the Fairmont enough for their professionalism and assistance. Stop your search and book the Fairmont!

We had our wedding reception at the Fairmont in September 2023, and it turned out beautifully. We chose this venue for its size and convenience since they include a lot of elements within their package (food, drinks, cake, chairs and tables, basic linens). The room was lovely, the food was delicious, and everything came together well. It was great having Joanna as a contact. Throughout the planning process their were many ups and downs but at the end of the day, it all came together and the day was picture perfect. Our first tasting was not great as they had an interim chef, and most of the food was cold. They made it up for it by offering us to come back for a second tasting, and they had their new wonderful chef (Tyler) who was absolutely a pleasure -- all the food was hot/incredibly delicious. If getting a room block, we would recommend you reserve more rooms than you think you would need. We definitely did not err on that side and had to reserve additional rooms at a significant upcharge (due to Steeler’s home opener).

We had our room block at the Fairmont, we got ready there, and we had our after party at Fl.2. I can not speak of Joanna highly enough. She is professional, kind, and genuine. There is nothing that she won't do for you. She made us feel like A-list celebrities. Joanna has an air about her that makes you feel like you've been friends forever. She greets you with a hug, she's so excited for you and your day - and she really cares about your experience - your memories made. She put all of us at ease every step of the way. And she is just the tip of the iceberg. The entire staff at The Fairmont have the customer service standards of those at a Michelin-star restaurant. They are precise. They are diligent. They have a keen eye for every little detail. And most of all, they're warm and friendly and just really happy to have you there. I have to take a moment to call out Brian, at the Fairmont. I believe he is on their concierge team? He did everything from unload our cars and bring everything to our rooms - but he was there for literally any.thing. we needed. Anything. He gave me his cellphone number to message him if I needed something. I made the mistake of texting him on his dinner break (I didn't know) and he left his break to help me. And it wasn't just me (the bride) who he treated that way. He was like that for the groom, his brother, my father, my mother in law, our aunts and uncles. He must have been running around that hotel every single minute of the day. And - he did it with a smile on his face. A genuine smile. All this to say, in whatever capacity you're thinking of having the Fairmont be a part of your day, I say do it. You will not regret having this exceptional team of people serve you. They are the epitome of customer service and professionalism.

Our daughters’s ceremony and wedding at the Fairmont Pittsburgh were both stunning! Joanna and her staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect! Brian was amazing with our guests in the lobby as they arrived. The food and service was excellent. The cake and cookie table were beautiful! Lovely venue!! We highly recommend the Fairmont and the amazing team that made this the wedding weekend perfect!

I can't even begin to explain how thankful I am that I made the choice to get married at the Fairmont. We looked at a ton of venues and without a doubt when we walked into the Fairmont and met Joanna, she made our decision 10x easier.From the beginning Joanna was always willing to answer questions quickly and help me make decisions for the big day. She not only put me at ease with how organized she was but both of our families.I also want to mention the ABOVE & BEYOND service we received from all of the staff at the Fairmont. They were accommodating, friendly, and extremely helpful. We absolutely loved them.The day went unbelievably smooth, and it was absolutely gorgeous. There are not enough words to express how beyond perfect everything was at the Fairmont Hotel! It was truly everything we dreamed it would be and MORE! My husband and I looked at close to 15 venues. When we walked into the Fairmont and met Joanna, we knew this was the perfect place for us! Joanna, the wedding coordinator, immediately made us feel at home and we connected with her right away. She went above and beyond for us throughout the entire process. She was beyond kind, friendly, caring, and was for us throughout every step! I am so beyond grateful for Joanna as she truly took the best care of us throughout. Anything we needed or anything we asked for, she made sure we had it! Joanna made the process so fun and enjoyable! We absolutely loved working with her. At our tasting, we were introduced to Rachael, the assistant wedding coordinator! Joanna & Rachael were the perfect team and did everything and more to make sure every detail was perfect in our space for our day! On our day, Rachael ensured that everything went beyond perfect! They made sure everything was the way I wanted it to be and I could not be any more thrilled about how the day went! Also, to our surprise the venue had a renovation just in time for our wedding! I fell even more in love with the space with the new updates! Everything about this venue was top-notch! From the incredible staff to the beautiful space, it has it ALL! The staff at the hotel took incredible care of not only my husband and I, but our families & guests! They were beyond kind and did anything we needed! One of our signs we brought had glue that smeared, one of the incredible staff members painted it for us himself so that it was perfect on the wedding day! To say that every member of the staff went above and beyond is an understatement! We were spoiled with care and love from the hotel staff and we are so grateful for all they did for us. The food was also INCREDIBLE and the chef did an incredible job with our meal presentation & our cake truly matching our vision! Our guests continuously complimented how first-class and beautiful our wedding was and that it was one of the best weddings they have been too! This truly is due to the wonderful staff at the Fairmont Hotel for making sure that our event was beautiful with incredible service throughout! I cannot recommend this venue and staff enough!

My husband and I started checking out venues for our November 2022 wedding last June, and had already mentally picked out another very popular location here in Pittsburgh until we met with Joanna Bazzano at the Fairmont. The Fairmont Pittsburgh is already a beautiful place to have your wedding, but it was Joanna that sealed the deal for us. She was incredible to work with! You can tell that she loves what she does and she is amazing with her clients. She's extremely professional, but also very fun and down to earth. Not that we asked for anything crazy or over the top, but any request that we made was met without hesitation and with a warm and positive attitude. She also worked really well with my wedding planners and our other vendors...everyone loved her! She helped me with anything that I needed and even helped me come up with a very meaningful signature cocktail named after our daughter for our wedding guests to enjoy. The whole wedding planning process with Joanna was a fantastic experience, and the actual wedding day itself was even better! The entire day was flawlessly executed and I can honestly say that I had the wedding of my dreams thanks to Joanna and her incredible staff at the gorgeous Fairmont Pittsburgh!

The wedding coordinator Joanna was amazing! She helped us every step of the way, from answering all of our questions to being there for our special day. I did not have a single reservation leaving all of our decor with her the week of the wedding, I knew she understood our vision and it was perfectly executed! She was sweet and made us feel like we were always a priority! I couldn’t have asked for someone better to help us on the most important day of our lives. The venue itself, was stunning!! The beautiful staircase and lobby made for amazing photos! Myself, along with my bridesmaids, stayed in a suite the night before the wedding; it was perfect for brunch and getting ready! The food was great and everything went off without a single issue. I could not have been more impressed!!!

The rooms have beautiful views of the city and the bridal suite was very spacious which allowed for a large bridal party, makeup artists and multiple hair stylists all to be together in one room getting ready. The Fairmont wedding planner Joanna Bazanno is amazing to work with. She is super responsive to any and all questions and did everything from the fist time we met through the entire wedding weekend to make sure our day went off without a hitch. Fairmont was willing to accommodate special requests of the band, hair stylist etc. Our guests thought the reception was perfect. We are very glad we chose the Fairmont for our son and daughter in laws wedding!

I can’t recommend the Fairmont enough! The elopement package that they offer is PERFECT for anyone looking for a small wedding, especially during the pandemic. Everything I could have asked for was included: venue, officiant, photographer, flowers, dinner, champagne, cake, suite for the wedding night and breakfast the next day! Joanna Bazzano took care of every detail, I didn’t have to worry about anything! She was even able to accommodate some of my special requests. All of the hotel staff were also super friendly and accommodating. The team at FL 2 were exceptionally great and ensured we had a FABULOUS first dinner as husband and wife. If I had to do it all again, I wouldn’t change a thing!

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!! My daughter and her (now) husband chose The Fairmont immediately after our intial visit. We cancelled all other venue visits and we are thrilled with our choice! Natalie Weiss greeted us with a big smile, and continued to do so throughout our year of planning. Most of our guests would be coming into Pittsburgh for the wedding, and The Fairmont provided \"One Stop Shopping\" for our wedding weekend. The ceremony, reception, and after-party at \"Andy's\" in the hotel lobby were truly perfect!! Our guests never had to go from once facility to another for the entire weekend, and guests could walk to all that downtown had to offer easily. We had a huge block of rooms reserved for out-of-towner's and friends that wanted to stay in town after the wedding parties. My husband and I got married in April at the Fairmont and are still talking about our amazing experience with them! When we entered the Fairmont on the wedding weekend, the staff at the Concierge Desk was extremely welcoming and accommodating. They immediately knew who we were and made sure we had everything we needed. They were also welcoming to all of guests. After the wedding, we continually received comments about how wonderful our guests’ experience at the Fairmont was and how much they loved all of the staff. The delightful people we met at the Fairmont did not stop at the front desk. The servers during our wedding reception were fantastic. Maria was the designated server at our sweetheart table. She made sure we were taken care of the entire evening. Her attentiveness and level of detail was outstanding. Throughout the evening, our guests kept commenting on how delicious their meal was and said our cake was the best wedding cake they have ever eaten! My husband and I highly recommend the Fairmont to anyone planning a wedding, a special event, or a visit to Pittsburgh. I cannot say enough how amazing The Fairmont was for our wedding. From the first tour with Natalie to her checking to make sure our food was delicious on our wedding day, there was never a flaw in our year of working together before our wedding. The room itself is gorgeous as is, but Natalie took over and helped me add a white dance floor, chandeliers, and chivari chairs so I did not have to add another task to my list. The food was OUTSTANDING and looked and tasted exactly as it did during our tasting. The front desk staff, concierge, housekeeping, servers- every single person was SO lovely to us and our families and we had many guests tell us the same thing. We did our first look and family photos in the lobby and they are beyond gorgeous. I just can't say enough good things about this hotel, the people you will work with, the food you will eat, the immaculate cookie table they set up, or how downright genuinely wonderful our entire experience was. The Fairmont made our wedding day dreams come true and I would recommend it 10000000%.

Wow! Just WOW! It's been a little over a week since our daughter had her ceremony and wedding reception at the Fairmont and we were blown away!The staff is friendly and courteous, the hotel is clean and modern, the location is perfect and everything we planned (regarding our event) was amazing! We had a few phases and I'm so glad for the guidance of Natalie and her team! The ceremony in part of the ballroom was glorious. The cocktail reception with passed wine and hors d'oeuvres was elegant and made for great conversation. The dinner/reception - with choice of entrees was spectacular. Finally, the buffet breakfast for our guests the next morning was on point! The hotel staff even re-used our flowers from the night before!The hotel rooms were beautiful and I felt safe letting my 14 year old daughter come and go as needed. Our room block was handled with care and I was able to make adjustments as needed.We did rent the chandeliers and they added elegance to an already beautiful room. Our family is grateful to Mr. Stern, Natalie and the entire team at the Fairmont! It's the little things that add up and the attention to detail is superb!Make sure you call Natalie and set up a tour!

Planning a wedding is stressful in nature. If anyone tells you otherwise, they're a liar. When it came to picking our venue we immediately fell in in love with The Fairmont. The clean lines and beautiful space with all of its natural lighting, what wasn't there to like. The hidden bonus that you can't see in the pictures is working with all the amazing people at The Fairmont. Throughout the entire planning process Natalie was a step ahead of us and ready to guide us to the next decision that needed to be made. The million little details were broken up in a manageable way that didn't seem overwhelming or tedious. Working with Natalie was an absolute dream when it came to planning the wedding. After months of planning and came to the weekend of, literally every single person rolled out the red carpet and knew our names. Not only that, but they went above and beyond (what we ever would have expected) in providing or helping with anything we could have dreamed of needing. The Fairmont is obviously a well known name when it comes to luxury hotels. What I honestly think sets them out from the rest was the unprecedented hospitality from their entire staff. Which in my personal opinion is very hard to come by. Our wedding day was perfect and went off without a hitch. I know that I owe all of the thanks to Natalie and the entire staff that I'm sure played an even bigger behind the scenes role at The Fairmont. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have changed a thing.

August 25, 2018.......Our Daughter's Wedding - PERFECT! Natalie, the Events Manager, supported every step of the way & made us feel very informed & comfortable. Never having done this, she eased my fumbling & stress to get to this day. When we had \"another\" question or two or three, it was no problem to email, talk on the phone or meet. Every menu selection we made was delicious, hot when served & very well received. We were continuously told throughout the reception that the food was excellent, the party was phenomenal & how much everyone loved the venue. EVERYONE we came in contact with could not have been more friendly or supportive. Sadly I don't recall everyone's name, but our bellman was prompt & smiling when we needed to move all the extra items we had for the wedding....multiple times. The waitress we had for breakfast Saturday went beyond the call of duty when asked for some salt to treat an on coming sore throat - she grabbed a salt grinder & ground it for me. Ron, the doorman, was phenomenal in helping us get all the \"stuff\" we needed to bring home packed safely in the back of our SUV. We didn't have near enough boxes so he came up with a number of towels which he wrapped each large glass terrarium in. Made it home with no problems. Again, thank you for everything.

We got married at the Fairmont on September 2, 2018 and it exceeded all our wildest dreams. Natalie was amazing to work with. From the moment we began planning to the end of the wedding weekend she was always accessible, helpful, and creative in helping us take our ideas and execute them. The planning meetings, meal tasting, and all the phone calls and emails were professional and thoughtful and we left every conversation feeling confident and well taken care of. On the wedding weekend we felt like royalty- every employee at the Fairmont did an amazing job and took such good care of us. Natalie and her team made sure everything was perfect and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We had our ceremony in the ballroom and it was beautiful. During our cocktail hour in the lobby outside the ballroom you would have no idea the work that the team put in to quickly flip the ballroom into the reception space. The room was stunning with a large dance floor, stage for the band, and plenty of space for our 200 guests. The meal was incredible and we got so many compliments on the food and the impeccable service. Natalie helped us plan an after party at the hotel bar complete with pizza and fries which was a big hit! We finished off the weekend with a beautiful brunch the next day outside the ballroom and left the weekend feeling like it was a dream. Our decision to have our wedding at the Fairmont was the best one we could have made. Everything exceeded our expectations and I would recommend the Fairmont to anyone looking for a beautiful, elegant, and fun wedding!

From the moment we walked into The Fairmont for our first consultation to the day we left after our wedding, it was five star, impeccable service. Natalie, the events manager, and the rest of her team does a truly incredible job. Throughout the planning process, the attention to detail, organizational skills and general advice given was extremely helpful and allowed us to stay at ease. We knew if Natalie was on it, it was covered. The best part was keeping everything under one roof and with one person. The second we made a decision with an outside vendor (i.e. linens), Natalie took care of the rest. Even when we asked for specific ice cream all the way from Penn State, The Fairmont team made it happen! Before the wedding, Natalie walked through every detail of the night, so we knew it would be perfect. Even the breakfast the next morning, which we decided to do just a few weeks before the wedding, was executed beautifully! The staff of the entire hotel was also incredibly accommodating all weekend. From the greetings at the door through to the bartenders at the wedding, we - along with our guests - were in awe of their kindness and service. Prior to the wedding, multiple people gave me the advice that “something will go wrong, just roll with it.” I can honestly say thanks to Natalie and the wonderful service at The Fairmont, nothing went wrong and our dream wedding came to life just as we imagined.

The Fairmont Pittsburgh, amazing in every aspect of the wedding planning, the wedding day, the reception and the day after. The Fairmont is a class act. First the venue - the hotel is gorgeous, lots of opportunities for great photos, the food is out of this world, as was the wedding cake, and the color scheme is neutral and inviting that everything goes. My finance, parents and I looked at a group of hotel venues and nothing compared to the Fairmont. Nothing came close at all. The décor is perfect and subtle, the room size is perfect and no ridiculous poles anywhere to block anyone view. They are very flexible with arranging the room - different sized tables if one table has 6 and one has 10. The food was incredible, our cake was gorgeous and was one of the best cakes I have ever had at a wedding. The set up for the cocktail our was perfect, as was the room for the reception. The staff is incredible. I hear of horror stories of brides being stressed out and I had zero stress. Natalie and her team took care of everything so I didn't have to worry about anything. They were attentive and quick to respond. Even the rest of the staff, from the doormen to the staff at the front desk, called us by name, did everything they could to make sure we had the perfect day, and we did. The next day the service was just as amazing as the day before. We would do it all again exactly the same way and we are so very happy that we selected the Fairmont for our reception. Best experience and that's exactly what you want for your wedding day - those memories and photos will last a lifetime! Thank you to Natalie and the entire staff at the Fairmont.

If you could rate over 5 stars I would have done so in a heart beat. Since our wedding one of the first things our guests tell us is how great the food was at the wedding and how great all of the people working at the Fairmont are. Impress your friends and family this wedding season! My husband and I first found this venue and not only did we love the location, but we loved everything the Fairmont had to offer. We went with their winter wedding package and got married on New Years Eve 2018. From the champagne toast at midnight and popping confetti we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. The weekend of our wedding the hotel staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND not only to myself and my husband but all of our guests staying in the hotel. From the moment we arrived at the Fairmont to the very second we left EVERYONE at the hotel was accommodating beyond words. Maria was outstanding and took the time to decorate our wedding cake plates specifically for us. She decorated the room we had breakfast in for our guests the next morning. (Which looked fantastic) Natalie Weiss our wedding coordinator was exceptional. Not only was she on top of everything but extremely responsive if you had any questions or changes. She gave us her personal cell to contact her anytime the week before the wedding. Working with Natalie put our minds at ease and gave us the feeling everything was under control (which it was)...and to not freak out the day before LOL They were under construction adding a new restaurant and bar to the Fairmont right before the wedding. The Bar is super cool and makes for GREAT groomsmen pictures. The day after the wedding my husband and I were pleasantly surprised when we went back to our room before check out to find customized robes as a gift from the Fairmont with our names and wedding date on them. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. If the Fairmont is available for your date...don't blink and eye....BOOK IT! I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Fairmont Pittsburgh on September 23, 2017 and it was nothing short of perfect!!! The hotel itself is spectacular and that's just the beginning. From start to finish, we couldn't be more pleased with how smoothly everything went at the Fairmont. We had a tasting several months back, and the chef and pastry chef were on hand to accommodate any special requests and answer all of our questions about the food selections, meal and bar service. The appetizers and entrees on the day of the wedding were absolutely delicious and we received SO MANY COMPLIMENTS about the absolutely perfect food and food service. And the CAKE! If you are considering hiring out for cake, DON'T DO IT. The cake was fabulous and looked EXACTLY as we envisioned. Their chef, pastry chef, banquet service managers and banquet staff are incredibly professional, organized and exceptional at what they do. The timing of the cocktail reception and salad/entree/cake service was impeccable. Beyond the event staff, the hotel staff (reception, bell hops, etc) treated us like royalty - as if our family and friends were the hotel's guests of honor. We - and our guests - were so impressed by the Fairmont staff's service and professionalism. We worked with the Fairmont's event coordinator, Natalie W., for the majority of the planning and she was SPECTACULAR. (Madeline, the former event coordinate for the hotel, was amazing and we were disappointed when she told us she was moving on, but we were so incredibly pleased with Natalie that the disappointment stung for, oh, 2 minutes.) My husband and I had ideas for a few of the things we wanted for the wedding (i.e. Pittsburgh pierogies and Cincinnati Skyline chili coney dogs for a late night snack for our guests) and Natalie executed every detail better than we could imagine. She also worked with us to identify and work out details we hadn't thought of. She was prompt, flexible, always available for a quick meeting, and kept this type A bride calm and confident about every last detail. She even personally steam ironed a crease out of my wedding gown a few hours before the ceremony. She was truly a dream to work with. We looked at several other venues in town to host our reception and are SO glad we chose the Fairmont. The Fairmont is worth every last penny and they just over-delivered at every turn (besides, many of the other downtown venues are comparable in price anyway and I can almost guarantee you won't get the same attention to detail you'll get at the Fairmont). You will not be disappointed!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Fairmont Pittsburgh on September 23, 2017 and it was nothing short of perfect!!! The hotel itself is spectacular and that's just the beginning. From start to finish, we couldn't be more pleased with how smoothly everything went at the Fairmont. We had a tasting several months back, and the chef and pastry chef were on hand to accommodate any special requests and answer all of our questions about the food selections, meal and bar service. The appetizers and entrees on the day of the wedding were absolutely delicious and we received SO MANY COMPLIMENTS about the absolutely perfect food and food service. And the CAKE! If you are considering hiring out for cake, DON'T DO IT. The cake was fabulous and looked EXACTLY as we envisioned. Their chef, pastry chef, banquet service managers and banquet staff are incredibly professional, organized and exceptional at what they do. The timing of the cocktail reception and salad/entree/cake service was impeccable. Beyond the event staff, the hotel staff (reception, bell hops, etc) treated us like royalty - as if our family and friends were the hotel's guests of honor. We - and our guests - were so impressed by the Fairmont staff's service and professionalism. My wife and I had our wedding reception at the Fairmont at the end of October after a long 10 months of planning. The finished product? In a word, outstanding. The Fairmont went above and beyond our expectations, and we'd like to share a few reasons why.My then-fiancee and I had a few fairly inflexible parameters when searching for a wedding venue:1) Somewhere in Pittsburgh proper, as we had a large number of guests traveling from out of the country and wanted both a convenient hotel and reception location that were one in the same2) A venue that could hold 250+ guests3) Someplace that would let us party 'till late, like 2 a.m. or later (that's how we do).4) Something classy, and upscaleIf any of the above resonate with you, look no further than the Fairmont Hotel. In doing so you will be starting a relationship with a Madeline Kelly, the hotel's young and pleasant event manager. I should mention that my wife and I are both medical professionals and are transitively somewhat neurotic when it comes to scheduling/planning. That said, we could not have been happier with how Madeline planned our wedding with us from the very start. She was responsive to our hectic hospital schedules and bent to our random availabilities. For an October wedding, she held sit-down meetings with us as early as March (upon our request) to comb through details of the wedding. We had about 4 such in-person meetings throughout the planning phase, each was productive and pain-free. In between these meetings she was responsive with both email and phone whenever we needed to reach out and make adjustments. She even met with my mother-in-law to discuss things when we were too busy to meet in person. As pleased as we were during the planning phase, it was really the day of the wedding when the Fairmont stood out. I cannot keep count of how many visiting (out-of-country) guests approached us and our family after the wedding about how impressed they were with the hotel experience during their stay. The service is simply on point, from Madeline and her staff to the front desk receptionist to the bartenders to the servers at dinner. Madeline was there from start to finish on the wedding day, overseeing everything silently, ensuring all was going smoothly. Our celebrations went till ~2am, and outstanding service was noted until the last minute. The attention to detail here is truly something impressive.I would be remiss if I didn't mention the food as a huge strength at this venue. It was far, far above par for a wedding, on par offerings from Pittsburgh's premiere stand-alone restaurants. Also, as part of the deal with the Fairmont package, you get a wedding cake made to your liking. I mean truly to your liking - send a picture of your fantasy cake to the pastry chef and he will make it for you. Biggest regret of my wedding day? Not eating more cake. Sweet Lord--this cake was perfect. Delectably tops. Best cake I've tasted, ever.If you have a number of guests traveling for your wedding, the Fairmont could not be more perfectly nestled in the heart of downtown. We wanted to pick a place that would allow our guests to really taste Pittsburgh and to do so with class--the Fairmont was a slam-dunk in that regard.All in all, we can't imagine our wedding being anywhere else. The Fairmont and all the people who helped make our wedding possible have become a part of our wedding memory in a very warm way.TL,DR: would marry there again, if only for the cake.

We had the reception following our daughter's wedding on Oct 1. 2016 at the Fairmont. We would highly recommend the Fairmont for anyone who is looking for a wedding venue. From our initial contact with the team headed by Madeline Kelly we were impressed by the professionalism and their attention to detail. From the planning stage through the reception we were never disappointed. They worked with us to transform the room into the romantic feel that we hoped to portray. In the final weeks leading up to the wedding Madeline's suggestions were spot on. During the cocktail hour the butler passed hors deserves were delicious and the bartenders were attentive. The food was plated as artfully as it was shown at our tasting, which is not an easy undertaking when you have three hundred guests. We had several guests comment that the dinner and service were the best that they had ever had at a wedding. Our confidence in Madeline and her staff made it easy for us to relax and thoroughly enjoy the evening.

I recently held my reception at the Fairmont Pittsburgh and could not have been happier. Madeline was a dream to work with, her calm and fun personality makes you feel reassured and enjoy the process. The entirety of the staff at the hotel, from the bellmen, to the valets, to the front desk staff, are so incredibly attentive and professional. We had quite a few out of town guests and all of them raved about the accommodations. We've also been told several times that it was the best wedding food our guests have ever had, specifically the desserts. We decided to forgo a traditional wedding cake and did a platter of mini desserts including creme brulee and smores on a stick and people are still raving about them almost a month later. And honestly, its not that expensive for what you are getting comparatively. I had a friend get married the weekend before me at a more DIY venue and she said she spent the entire week of stressing out, whereas I just gave Madeline anything we wanted set up or displayed, along with my vendor contact info and she and her staff took over from there. They were very accommodating to any special requests we had. The open bar is the most expansive selections I or my guests have ever seen. If I could do it again I would 100% choose Madeline and her team at the Fairmont Pittsburgh every time!

Madeline and the Fairmont staff were easy to work with, accommodating and very professional. We would recommend them to anyone. About half our guests were from out of town and the hotel was in a great location for them to explore the city. The food and cake were delicious! The ballroom looked amazing, they were even able to accommodate a balloon drop for a New Years Eve Wedding. We loved our wedding and if anyone is looking for a great venue in Pittsburgh, the Fairmont should be at the top of the list!

All of our guests and vendors had great things to say about them. Then our big day came, Madeline was there to help with everything, she was so easy to work with, laid back and nice. From the first time I contacted her, we both felt comfortable with her and how accommodating she was. Beth Zysk stayed until the end of our wedding and made sure we were taken care of, she had all of our stuff moved to our suite and her and her staff stayed late to ensure we had the best time of our lives. We did! Our guests loved the food and the beauty of the hotel as well as the amazing staff. We couldn't recommend the Fairmont more.

Our experience at the Fairmont was top-notch. We already loved the hotel, as we stay there every Valentine's Day and frequent Andy's bar. We held our wedding reception at The Fairmont Hotel and absolutely everyone we worked with there BEYOND exceeded our expectations! Madeline was so helpful with all of the planning and truly worked with us throughout the process to make sure the day was everything we hoped for. She went above and beyond - helping us to coordinate suites, vendors, and day-of planning. On the wedding weekend - from the moment we checked in, everyone was wonderful. Bryan and Ron met us at the door and helped us carry in multiple car-loads (wedding dress, luggage, decor, etc) with ease and enthusiasm. Emily and everyone else at the desk made us feel more than welcome and truly catered to everything we could ever need! When it rained, immediately following our ceremony (which was held outdoors and nearby the hotel), The Fairmont brought us umbrellas and asked whether we'd like a Cadillac to come and pick up the bridal party. Our rooms were immaculate and just as we had planned. Many of our guests sought us out to compliment The Fairmont staff on a number of things...accommodating special room arrangements, excellent service upon arriving, special requests were all met with pleasure, etc. - the entire staff was just WONDERFUL. I truly cannot thank The Fairmont enough for taking such wonderful care of our guests; everyone had an amazing time and was truly wowed by the level of service they received. It was very important to us that our guests had a great time at our wedding and The Fairmont staff made sure that was the case. I have never had a hotel go so far out of their way to ensure that everyone was truly satisfied. THANK YOU to everyone at The Fairmont - you made our wedding an incredible weekend to remember!

My husband and I chose the Fairmont Pittsburgh as our wedding reception venue because this hotel is not only contemporary, but also elegant and luxurious. From the moment we first met Madeline Kelly (Catering and Events Manager) we fell in love with the idea of hosting our reception at the Fairmont. Madeline is a kind, professional individual who responded promptly to all of our questions and concerns. We were offered a very reasonable price per person which included hors d' oeuvres, a three-course dinner, our wedding cake, and an open bar. Two things that drew us to this location were that Madeline was willing to act as much or as little as a wedding coordinator as we would have liked at no extra cost, and our per person price covered all place settings, linens, set up, etc. which are normally charged separately by other venues in downtown Pittsburgh. At the end of the day, Madeline was an integral part of why our wedding reception was as wonderful as it was. She's an amazing human being and we are so lucky that we got to work with her! My husband and I, along with our families, dropped off decorations that we wanted to use for the reception and left it to Madeline to make it all look great. We really trusted Madeline to do her job well and she went above and beyond to deliver. We only gave general ideas for what we wanted with the space, and the entire Fairmont staff brought the room together for us. \r\r\rThe food for dinner was prepared on the same floor, right next to the ballroom and was served promptly and professionally by the staff. Everyone was extremely polite and our guests loved their meals. Even the most picky and/or opinionated of guests made a point to compliment the food. In addition, our wedding cake was beautiful. The renowned pastry chef used our inspirational photos and made them a reality. There were no limits with what we could have done with the cake. We couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome, and the cake was delicious. We cannot wait to celebrate our one-year anniversary by eating the top tier!\r\r\rOne last thing that should not go unnoticed is that we were able to extend our wedding reception for an extra half hour. While the reception time was nearing its end, my husband and I felt like it wasn't time to say goodbye. At the last minute, we asked if we could extend our open bar and the Fairmont was willing to accommodate our request. We appreciated their accommodation and for asking their team to stay with us. \r\r\rI could go on and on complimenting Madeline and the entire Fairmont staff, but bottom line-- choose this venue and you will not be disappointed! This location is the most luxurious hotel in downtown Pittsburgh and very little was needed to create the reception experience that we'd hoped for. We were a couple that wanted a modern space that spoke for itself and with the Fairmont Pittsburgh that is exactly what we got. The entire Fairmont team made our wedding planning experience completely enjoyable and we were sad for it to end. We had a wonderful time working with them and would recommend this hotel time and again. The art, layout, and immediate vicinity to Market Square created a welcoming environment for all of our guests and at the end of the experience, there is not one criticism that we can give. We had an amazing experience with Madeline and the Fairmont team for our wedding. I looked at pretty much every hotel in downtown Pittsburgh, but once I saw the Fairmont it was a fairly easy decision. The location was awesome for out of town guests to explore the city, the ballroom is sort of a blank canvas that can be transformed into whatever style you want, the lobby is gorgeous, and Madeline inspired confidence from the start. \rTo add to that from the post-wedding perspective, \rthe food was definitely better than typical wedding food, they were able to offer just about any beer we wanted to have for our bar, the cake was AMAZING (do NOT source your cake from elsewhere. This was the best part of the meal), the house wines and champagne were all great, and the servers were top notch. At one point my husband and I tried to stop to get water from the bar but got pulled back onto the dance floor. The bartender came and found us to give us water. At another point a server walked by when we were with a big group of friends and offered to take a picture. Little things like that happened throughout the night. \rIt was also great from a pre- and post-reception standpoint. The guys got ready in the bridal suite and everything was seamless- it was perfectly cleaned and ready for when he and I arrived post-reception. We got some really nice personal touches in the suite afterwards, like a card, champagne, strawberries, and personalized bathrobes to take home. I regret not being able to spend another night in that room- it was so nice! \rWe chose to do our honeymoon through their platinum honeymoon program, where you get some % of your wedding spend to use at your honeymoon hotel (any other Fairmont). That was definitely a bonus, although getting the gift card situated with the honeymoon location was a little confusing. That being said, the second we said we were having issues, the Pittsburgh team was all over it to help.\rReally nothing but good things to say.

We had the best wedding we could have ever imagined thanks to Antoinette Ferraro and her outstanding team at Fairmont Pittsburgh. \r\rWe got engaged at the Fairmont exactly 1 year before our wedding (which the staff made sure was the most beautiful and memorable proposal), but never thought we would be able to afford such a beautiful and upscale venue for our wedding reception. However, we decided to chat with them anyway, and found that they could work with our budget if we were willing to be flexible with dates. Booking with the Fairmont was the best decision we could have made, as we never felt our reception could be anything less than perfect with their team on the case. This made out-of-town wedding planning from DC a breeze. \r\rMany of our guests went out of their way to let us know how wonderful the food and service was. I can't imagine how any venue could compare to the costumer service for which the Fairmont is famous. Antoinette went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us and that our guests were comfortable and happy. We will always look back on our wedding as one of the best days of our lives and the fairmont played a large role in making that possible. \r\rWe are now even bigger fans of the Fairmont and already have a Seattle fairmont valentine's day trip planned!

I had my wedding on 2-1-14 and it was incredible! The staff was helpful, courteous and kind at all times. Antionette Ferraro did an amazing job helping coordinate everything! The venue, food, cake, atmosphere, everything was more than I could have hoped for. My husband and I are truly Fairmont loyal from now on! The ballroom is gorgeous and they will customize it to make it perfect for your big day!

The Fairmont Pittsburgh was absolutely STUNNING for my wedding! Meaghan Tiberio was SO incredibly helpful in all aspects of the planning and with all of her experience with weddings at the hotel, was able to provide expert feedback and support for my event. Not only is the hotel a GORGEOUS place to hold any event(hello gorgeous photo opportunities!), but the food was UNBELIEVABLE(I had countless guests tell me it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding). They also do the wedding cake on-site which was such a weight off of my shoulders; they told my husband and I to bring them any design we wanted and they would make it! Our cake turned out to be EXACTLY what we wanted and it was delicious! Best of all, on the day of our wedding, I didn't have a single worry and if I ever needed anything, the amazing staff was willing to help within a second. My husband & and I couldn't have been happier with our decision to hold our reception at the Fairmont!

We looked at multiple venues in the city for a wedding that could accommodate 150-200 guests. The Fairmont is one of the newer choices in the city, and also one of the pricier options. However, after comparing it to other locations, the extra money is definitely worth it. All of our guests raved about our selected cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres (crab cakes were the favorite) and dinner (both filet and chicken). Service was impeccable. Communication - via email, telephone, and in person - with catering sales manager (Meaghan Tiberio) was extremely easy, prompt, and efficient. The venue is easy to work with to accommodate various payment schedules. Venue is great for wedding photos (block and half from Clemente bridge, right next to market sq, has beautiful staircase). There were no issues coordinating any wedding tradition (dollar dance, cookie table, etc). This venue requires minimal decoration because it already so beautiful! We did not have to worry about anything pertaining to the reception on the day of our wedding - both Meaghan and personal waitstaff were constantly on hand. Such a great experience!!!

The Fairmont Pittsburgh is hands down the most elegant, contemporary and phenomenal hotel in Pittsburgh. Located in the heart of the city next to the up and coming Market Square, there is so much to do for out of town guests including delicious Pittsburgh restaurants like Primanti's and Mancini's Bakery next store. Though I was initially in love with the style of the hotel (sleek and modern), I was mainly sold after meeting with Meaghan Tiberio, the sales/catering manager that doubled as our day-of coordinator, too! She handled every last detail for us, including contacting all of our outside vendors and setting up all of the details I put into our big day. Though I work in events and was a more organized bride than most, I honestly felt little stress at ALL the days leading up to my wedding and the big day itself. Meaghan handled everything with ease and it was worth every penny. \r\rThe accommodations there are top of the line, and the honeymoon suite my husband and I got to enjoy the night and next day after our wedding was honestly exquisite. The service at the Fairmont is unlike any other hotel we've ever stayed, and for that we will forever be Fairmont Hotel fans! In fact, we decided to make Hamburg a must for our honeymoon in Germany next spring because there is a Fairmont there as well! The food is delicious, too - in fact, we were able to make up our own menu (I based it off of my Nana's home cooking) to really fit our personalities and taste. \r\rIf your budget cannot make this space work, I totally understand - however, if you can make it work, it is worth it all.
