Farmington Lake is a scenic outdoor wedding ceremony venue. Located on our family's historic fifty acre farm, Farmington Lake offers couples the treasured benefit of hosting a completely private event. The estate features a three acre lake, that serves as a reflective backdrop to exchange vows, a rustic barn, rolling meadows, an intimate garden woodland and expansive, green lawns. Our event coordinator and creative director collaborate with couples to bring their beautiful, bespoke ceremony to life with our natural, handcrafted and vintage design elements. Conveniently located 37 miles from downtown Chicago, and within 3.3 miles from I-355, I-80, and a Metra station. This venue is the perfect space for an outdoor wedding. We got married here in September and it was absolutely stunning. Melanie + Alison were so kind. They were very responsive and made sure that we had everything taken care of. Our florist forgot to leave behind flower girl petals and Melanie was so kind and gave us faux petals to use. Highly recommend this venue! :)

This venue is the perfect space for an outdoor wedding. We got married here in September and it was absolutely stunning. Melanie + Alison were so kind. They were very responsive and made sure that we had everything taken care of. Our florist forgot to leave behind flower girl petals and Melanie was so kind and gave us faux petals to use. Highly recommend this venue! :)

Melanie and Allison were a pleasure to work with. They were personable, accommodating and very kind. The venue has lots of parking but the ceremony site is a nice walk from the parking lot but they are easily able to accommodate preferred parking upon request. The venue is just beautiful! We got great compliments from all our guests. The beautiful white antique chairs set it apart. The lawn well manicured and no bug bites. For it to be outdoors there was no noise from the community(traffics, sirens, etc). There is a beautiful white antique bridge that the groom and groomsmen made a grand entrance and grand it was. There is no bridal suite but there is a quaint bridal house with comfortable outdoor furniture beautifully decorated that keeps her hidden until her entrance. Most exciting part this outdoor venue has 10-12ft ivory cathedral doors that are closed and reopens for the bride. How spectacular. They only do ceremonies so take that into consideration if it rains. There is a tent as an alternative but nothing compared to the spot by the lake which is the backdrop. Great for us we had âperfect weatherâ.

I have nothing but GREAT things to say about Farmington Lake!! We got married here on 10.2.21. This site was the very first place that we toured and we loved it so much that we booked that same week and never looked anywhere else! Melanie was such a great help along the way! She was so easy to work with and even when things started to go wrong at rehearsal she kept calm and fixed everything with ease! They have so many great decoration add ons and even a beautiful rain tent with a beautiful backdrop should it rain. I will forever recommend this place to everyone and will never forget our beautiful wedding day!

Farmington Lake is the most beautiful, intimate venue for your wedding ceremony. Melanie (the owner) is the sweetest and easiest person to work with. The grounds are handicap accessible, well kept, and absolutely stunning! Melanie managed everything the day of the wedding and beautifully decorated the ceremony site! There are endless photo opportunities between the lake, beautiful bridal suite, the barn, and so much more! I cannot speak more highly of this venue!

Farmington Lake is the most beautiful, intimate venue for your wedding ceremony. Melanie (the owner) is the sweetest and easiest person to work with. The grounds are handicap accessible, well kept, and absolutely stunning! Melanie managed everything the day of the wedding and beautifully decorated the ceremony site! We recently had had our wedding at Farmington Lake, and I am so grateful that we did. We loved everything about it, it was absolutely beautiful! The venue is absolutely beautiful, and there are so many great spots for beautiful pictures. It really felt like something out of a fairy tale. We had an entirely different wedding plan before COVID started. Our original ceremony site fell through but we found Farmington Lake about a month before our wedding and Melanie, the owner, made everything super easy. She is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. I would highly recommend having your wedding ceremony here. :)

The venue is absolutely beautiful, and there are so many great spots for beautiful pictures. It really felt like something out of a fairy tale. I cannot say enough good things about Farmington Lake. It truly was my wedding dream come true. Melanie and Alison were amazing throughout the entire process. I did not have anything to worry about since they took care of pretty much everything for me. They were a pleasure to work with and the venue itself is just PERFECT. I cannot say enough good things about Farmington Lake. It truly was my wedding dream come true. Melanie and Alison were amazing throughout the entire process. I did not have anything to worry about since they took care of pretty much everything for me. They were a pleasure to work with and the venue itself is just PERFECT. We are delighted to thank Farmington Lakes for our perfect wedding ceremony. We couldnât have dreamed of a better place to have our wedding. From the start to the finish everything ran smoothly thanks to Melanie. She was so helpful and accommodating to make sure every little detail was perfect and exactly what I wanted and always responded quickly. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. I was a sucker for all the sweet little touches like the antique chair seating for guests, the church doors to walk through, vintage window frames, and the most romantic bridal suite with the daybed, vanity and white drapery. It really was the perfect fairytale wedding with a vintage country feel. I am so happy I discovered them. Check this place out, you wonât regret it đ

The pictures you see on their website are exactly what you get and more! Melanie and Allison were wonderful to work with. They made our day a dream come true. I was a little nervous as much of our communication was done over email but the day of the rehearsal, Allison was so wonderful, she made all my worries disappear. She made sure everything went perfectly and we truly had the most amazing, beautiful, flawless ceremony. Everyone said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. We were worried about the weather as it was raining in the morning but cleared up for us to get our first look and bridal party pictures before the ceremony. Minutes after our ceremony ended, it started to rain. My husband, 3 bridesmaids and myself were stuck in the bridal tent and Allison made sure to bring us all umbrellas to get back to the limo. They were honestly the best to work with you CANNOT find a more stunning site to hold your ceremony. I highly recommend this site to anyone looking for an outdoor ceremony venue!

We had our ceremony at Farmington and could not have found a more beautiful place. It is a hidden gem with the most drop dead gorgeous grounds. Alison and Melanie, who own the grounds, are wonderful and walked us through the ceremony rehearsal when we needed help. They also were so accommodating in staging our wedding and have such a perfect eye for design. I cannot talk highly enough of Farmington Lake. It's a must-see venue, and everyone who attended the ceremony was raving about it. It's perfect for an outdoor garden wedding venue.

We used the location for our engagement picture session. The location was super helpful and beautiful. I had no idea this place was located where it is at. They were very helpful and accommodating when it came to changed the date and time of our photo session due to weather. There was a small permit fee but was worth it. I can't wait to see my pictures.
