A staple of Allentown, and a fantastic spot for a wedding! Everyone had an amazing time. Rosanna was great to work with throughout the entire process, and Brewworks handles almost everything you need in house, which makes coordination a lot easier. Great selection of food, drinks, and floor space. Extremely caring and attentive staff as well! Prices are also very competitive with other venue options, even ones that include a lot less. Also a great restaurant and bar! Reviewed on 27-11-2023
It was truly hard to find a venue within budget and proximity to most guests. I saw and liked the brewery idea and found Fegleys. Though not an avid Lehigh/Allentown area traveler, I have been through the area to understand enough that people would not have difficulty in attending. It is street parking, but plenty of parking in nearby lots or around the corner. I first communicated with Jared who has since left and had remaining communications with Rosanna, who was always very responsive as we mostly spoke through email as I am no longer in the area. This venue has 5 floors of which can be rented for your wedding needs. You pick two floors for a flat rental fee for 5 hours while you can add additional time or floors at an additional cost. I chose my ceremony/happy hour on one floor and reception on another which worked great! Additionally, when figuring out a venue for your wedding you must review their food options. Some venues only allow insured caterers (perhaps even requiring a 200k+ insurance) while other venues require you use their caterers at their cost. Fegleys offers a wide variety of food, with both buffet or plated style. The price was more than fair, as you can easily end up spending a premium of $75-150 a person for food. I know good food is a priority for most when choosing venue. I will say that the meals we had were wonderful and was not disappointed. I chose three different dinner buffet options and throughly enjoyed the lemon chicken and salmon. The pork was good too, but preferred the other proteins more! Salad, roll, and soup of choice was also part of the meal in which their beer cheese soup I truly loved. With the flexible food choices, you also get a very flexible bar option. Being a brewery they have great specialty beers on tap to choose from as well as different packages (top shelf liquor, beer, and wine / beer and wine / or just soda) depending on your amount of guests and how many hours you choose for those packages. The flexibility to make it your own is a convenience you won't have at other venues.Lastly they have tablecloths, napkins, and centerpieces of your color/choice available included in your rental for your tables. One less thing to worry about ! Rosanna discussed these options with me during our wedding tasting to select our food. They have round tables and rectangle tables included in the rental for your gifts, desserts, guest books, etc. Being out of town, I communicated with Rosanna regarding decorating the floors I was renting. As they had no event the night before I was allowed to then decorate which was fantastic as it was already a time crunch to get things done without a coordinator. I was then able to collect my things the following morning on one floor that did not have another event. All in all, this venue provides extreme flexibility where most do not. Communication with Rosanna was easy as well as their payment schedule. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking at a brewery! I hope this helps in your decision-making! The food is amazing and the beer is great too! The day of the wedding, our reception was delayed 30 minutes, which may have been due to under staffing issues or something. We are unsure. Overall, the venue was great! Our guests had a great time, the bartenders and wait staff were fantastic! (Shoutout to Fay) Beers were good, a little disappointed the seltzer wasn’t available something that was communicated to us a week before the wedding so perhaps better communication between brewer and event coordinator. After booking a date canceling it getting married in a back yard and then changing your entire wedding for the following year was a lot. Jared helped us out so much and responded fast to our emails. Having to deal with multiple vendors would have been a disaster with replanning. Fegleys Allentown brew works handles the food and liquor. It was such an ease dealing with one person when it came to planning.Having multiple floors to have ceremony, cocktail, and reception on is amazing. Renting the floors did not burn any holes in our pockets and honestly that was the weighing factor with us choosing fegleys as our venue as many other places you are paying 2000$ just for the venue. Lets talk about food. Guests remember the food at weddings among other things. I have been to multiple weddings and fegleys brew works hands down was the best food ever. Plates were served warm and the filet cut like butter. We had food stations come out after dinner to soak up some alcohol and the cheesesteak egg rolls and pretzels were a hit. I definitely recommend this as a wedding venue. You will not be disappointed!!! Reviewed on 11-11-2021

The venue it self was beautiful. The only reason I took away a star was just because there was a little confusion about a few things with our contract months before and during our wedding. I want to also point it out that during the wedding I did NOT let Jared or anyone else know. If I did I know it would've been fine and they would've fixed it right away. Growing up in the Lehigh Valley, I had been to both the Allentown and Bethlehem Brew Works over the years for dinners and happy hours. My husband and I went on one of our first dates at the Bethlehem Brew Works, and he later met my parents for the first time at the Allentown Brew Works. However, I had NO idea ABW had such an extensive and beautiful event space until looking for venues! We both love craft beer and breweries, and we wanted the entire event to take place at one location, so ABW was a no-brainer, with different floors to accommodate our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We had our ceremony on Hamilton, cocktail hour on High Gravity, and reception on FIVE, and every floor had the exact vibe we wanted. It was perfect! The prices were extremely reasonable, and the food & drinks were fantastic! Our guests had such a wonderful time, and most made their way downstairs to the restaurant/bar after the reception ended. Jared made the planning process super easy, with prompt responses and flexibility when we decided to reduce our guest list in half due to COVID concerns. He was super helpful on the day-of, helping to herd the wedding party and make sure everyone was where they needed to be. Nicole Falato(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-10-2019 We just had our wedding at Allentown Brew Works this past Saturday, and Dustin made sure everything was amazing! It wasn’t the easiest road for us as we began this journey with the Brew Works, as our original wedding event coordinator, Jackie, left us. But luckily Dustin worked closely with her beforehand with other weddings, so we knew that he would take care of us. Unfortunately, it took us a little longer than it should’ve to get Dustin to be our event coordinator for our special night, as we had to go through Jared first. Jared already had very big shoes to fill after Jackie left, but it just didn’t work out. There was a large lack of communication that we experienced with Jared. This included us having to pull information out of him about the fact that we weren’t allowed to use the bridal suite, due to another wedding going on the same day as us (something else we had to pull out of him), and he just could never give us a straight, definite answer. At this point, living over an hour away from our venue, I knew that I couldn’t work with someone who wasn’t capable of communicating properly and efficiently with us. LUCKILY...DUSTIN was still around and he took over with no hesitation. Dustin made sure EVERYTHING for our wedding day was taken care. He was super understanding of our situation, treated us with such love and respect, and really went above and beyond for us! I also knew that I could count on him throughout the night, as he was constantly checking in with us and running around making sure everything was being handled! Dustin, we can’t thank you enough for making our special day so wonderful. YOU deserve ALL of the credit! If you’re thinking of getting married here, I definitely recommend it, but make sure that Dustin is the one who is in charge, because he truly knows what he’s doing and will for sure make your day special and memorable! The menu options, picture opportunities, and overall unique venue experience was well worth it. Communication was fantastic, especially considering that we were not able to just pop in when we wanted from being out of town. The only drawback is parking for people that are not familiar with the area, so the Renaissance hotel was our best option for hotel blocking given they have an attached garage as well as are within walking distance to the venue. Our guests were so pleased with the food and we received many compliments. They never had to wait for a drink and were pleased with the ambiance of the venue. Jared also worked seamlessly with our other vendors. Two days before the event torrential downpours caused some slight flooding in the Silk Lounge and we had some concerns. Jared said we could change last minute to a different room if we weren't happy. The room was perfect, it was like it never even happened! They went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Jenna Colin(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-05-2019 I don't doubt the validity of all the previous five star reviews because they all have one thing in common: Jackie. However, Jackie is no longer with Brew Works. She left about a month before our wedding. The new coordinator, Jared, might have just been overwhelmed and while nothing major went wrong, there was just a laundry list of small issues.First, I had e-mailed twice within the week leading up to our wedding with no response. I called assuming he wasn't receiving my e-mails but when I talked to him, he said he was just busy. At the rehearsal dinner, he forgot I had e-mailed him asking about a gluten free meal, but they were luckily still able to make one. They put out dinner for the buffet but we had to ask if it was okay to start eating. They put dessert out on the other side of the room so most of us didn't even see it was there. They came up to us and said they forgot to charge us for the appetizers so had to bill us again. I also didn't like that all the food was removed when the night was over and we were never asked if we would like to take any leftovers home even though we paid for all of it. When it came to our wedding day, I saw Jared when he told us it was time for the ceremony to start and when he ushered us out to start walking down the aisle. That was the last we talked to him for the rest of the night. He had another coordinator, Dustin, who we also didn't talk with during the day. They didn't check on us one time after the ceremony. It would have been nice for them to check on us because after the ceremony they brought the bridal party food but no silverware and absolutely nothing to drink, not even water. When it was time to make our grand entrance to the reception , our photographer had to track down the parents and bridal party. Obviously, that's not the job of the photographer but Jared was nowhere to be found and Dustin was helping the bartender. Two of our vendors had to hunt down their own meal. Another vendor was given food, but no silverware. Everyone was eating their first course while my husband and I had nothing in front of us. They forgot to give us a cake cutter which Jackie had put in our contract. We were standing in front of our cake for about ten minutes before one of the wait staff were finally able to bring us one (this was awkward as this forced the DJ to make a second announcement that we would be cutting the cake). A server had to track down my toss bouquet and she couldn't have been less thrilled to do it.Even our other vendors noted how not put together this whole event was. My husband and I basically felt like we were bothering them anytime we needed anything. I really wish we had Jackie, as my friend who got married here said Jackie would constantly check on them all night. Reviewed on 13-05-2019

We put a wedding together in six weeks, and it would not have been possible without any of our great vendors, but ABW was the most important one. The Bride chose ABW because of the more modern casual atmosphere of Five and High Gravity, but the more formal Hamilton Room is available. The Bride and several guests have food allergies...whole menus were customized deliciously to accommodate them. We had multiple last minute guest list changes (additional whole table two days before, surprise plus ones showing up, babies and toddlers we did not expect, cancellations) and everything was handled smoothly. There are always minor problems...everything was fixed immediately, pleasantly and with no argument. The whole staff worked so hard to make everything seem effortless but Jackie and the Banquet Chef deserve special praise and thanks. \r\rOh, and we were there multiple times at night for planning, meals and the wedding itself and never had a problem with being in downtown Allentown after dark. Paul Stewart(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-10-2013 Allentown Brew Works (ABW) offers four different floors for wedding receptions. We used Silk Lounge for our cocktail hour, and FIVE for our reception. Silk Lounge was wonderful, it has a very cool modern vibe to it. Dark lighting, cool accent lights, etc. FIVE on the top floor of the building and has more of an industrial modern type feel, redone hardwood floors, an open ceiling with exposed HVAC equipment, and lots of windows overlooking the city. \r\rThe food was absolutely wonderful. The cocktail appetizers were delicious. Lots of finger foods, and some outside the box snacks. For example, we had a bruscetta plate and a hummus plate; both very delicious and not something you usually find at a wedding, which was nice. Dinner service was also delicious, we had a pork dish, and a chicken dish. Both were delicious, the meat was very moist and done well. \r\rThe service was also excellent. Prior to the wedding, Wendie was very helpful. We mostly communicated via email, and she was always quick to respond to any questions we had. She was very flexible and open to any ideas we had. During the wedding Wendie was there to make sure everything went smoothly. Anything we needed she made sure we got. The other servers were also very nice and helpful. During the dinner service we had our own server to make sure anything we needed we got. If we needed anything to drink she offered to get it for us. While everyone ate we decided to go around to the table to say hi to everyone, and ABW made sure our food was covered so that it stayed warm until we wanted to eat. They were super helpful.\r\rBeing a brewery, obviously they served their own beer. They had 5 different beers, so there was a style for everyone. They were all excellent, and I had multiple people tell me afterwards how much they enjoyed all of the them. \r\rOverall everything was excellent. This sent us all over the Lehigh Valley. We also wanted to be in one of the 3 cities, Allentown, Bethlehem, or Easton. We are loyal to the cities and did not want a country club wedding. We found the perfect place in the Brew Works. \r\rI worked with the wedding coordinator, Wendie. She was absolutely amazing and had an anything goes attitude. I have been described as \"particular\" by my maid of honor, mother, and bridesmaids through out this process. I have great attention to detail, and was pleased when I saw the same in Wendie. She didn't miss a beat throughout the entire process. As the date got closer, I was emailing her almost daily, and she was sure to respond to all of them within 24hrs. \r\rMy only criticism was that during the cocktail hour not all of the guests received the hourderves we ordered. It seems they only made it to the closest tables to the kitchen and did not circulate around the room. Aside from this, the food was excellent and our guests raved about the stations we selected. The bar staff and reception staff were very pleasant and seemed to be having a good time alongside our guests. \r\rGreat experience. Glory Santos(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-12-2012 I should of known having my bridal shower and rehearsal dinner at the same place my wedding was going to take place was a bad idea. Every aspect of my wedding was a complete disaster. \rMy bridal shower was a mess from the start, they placed a flyer at the main entrance with my soon to be sister in laws last name. So my guest left thinking they were at the wrong place, some asked the hostess and they didn't know what was going on. 15 of my guest left and did not attend my shower. The colors picked for the shower where not the tablecloths that were provided nothing was decorated as promised. We literally had to search for workers to get things.\r\rMy rehearsal dinner was done by Wendie who is very unpleasant, she does not like her job and shows it. I was a very easy bride an anything goes bride and she promised things that were not even close to being done. At my rehearsal dinner she showed how she didn't want to be there looking at my groomsmen wrong and when asked a question she rolled her eyes and had an attitude. We didn't have anywhere to sit my guest had to sit on the tables that where already set for my wedding the next day she told us that we could drag the chairs from the reception and sit down and disappeared. We had to go into the kitchen to ask where we could leave the flowers and cake and they had no idea. My groomsmen had nothing to drink we didn't have a server. They had to go down to the bar and order drinks as they where coming up the elevator the restaurant manager put his hands so the elevator door wouldn't close and asked my groomsmen if they were lost and they were not allowed upstairs because they was a rehearsal going on. CLEARLY no communication amongst the staff. One of my guest accidentally spilled their drink on the table and the next day we asked to get it changed and Wendie with an attitude said \"you guys did this and I have no more table cloths to change\" I do not know where she expected my guest to sit and eat on the floor? Which was so dusty the place was filthy! Lets just say it went down hill from there. When I first selected the Brew Works because of their reviews and reputation I mainly based my decision because Jeff promised to do exactly what I wanted he saw my view and understood. Jessica Papp(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-10-2012 Our wedding coordinator pulled our wedding off beautifully. He did everything I asked, kept great communication throughout the process, and had great attention to detail. The room was gorgeous, the food was fantastic, and the staff really took care of my guests. Afterwards was a different story. Our coordinator offered to store all of our belongings and decorations until we returned from our honeymoon. When I tried to contact him, it was almost a week before I received a response, which came from the other site coordinator informing me that ours was no longer employed there. When we met with the other coordinator to pick up our things, I was very disappointed. Our guest book, which was a poster rolled up and stored in a cardboard tube, was sitting in a vase with water in the bottom of it. There was water damage to one side of the poster, and when I brought it to her attention she said if I frame it no one will see it. She made no apology for this. When I discovered that my 8 tall centerpiece vases were missing, she argued with me that she hadn't seen them and I would not be reimbursed because it says in the contract that they are not responsible for items lost or damaged. She finally located these. I had given my brand new Ipod to our coordinator to play music during the ceremony and cocktail hour, at his suggestion. She was unable to locate my Ipod for over a week. I was told it was given to several different family members and friends, and they finally discovered it in the house safe. We also had an entire layer of cake left, which our coordinator told us he would freeze for us until we came back from the honeymoon. When we tried to pick it up, the other coordinator informed us the chef had thrown it out. They have still not done anything to resolve this. After unpacking all of my belongings when we got home, I realized I was still missing several items. It took a week for the coordinator to locate these items and return them to us, and I am still missing 3 decorative pieces, and the memory stick they used to play our slideshow. Responses from this coordinator are slow coming and very unsatisfactory. While we had a fantastic night and they pulled our wedding off perfectly, the stress they have caused afterwards has been unnecessary and ridiculous. Unfortunately, I would not recommend anyone use them until they get their act together. Reviewed on 12-11-2012

ABW just opened up their 5th floor to large events and it's amazing! Simple and very modern, which was right up our alley! My husband is a huge microbrewery buff, and we loved it from the start. We were idiots to take another two months of searching around to other places before booking the place. Jeff, the guy we worked with, is just simply awesome. He knows what he's doing, gives amazing suggestions, isn't pushy, and reacts well when something unexpected pops up (which, sadly there were unexpected pop ups, but they had nothing to do with ABW thankfully!). He was very helpful with maintaining our budget (which was tight!) and was creative in creating our vision a reality. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. My guests loved the fact that we served craft beer and several went down to sample ones we couldn't serve at the wedding.\r\rThe only suggestion I would make would be to bring the children's meals out first - the kids at our wedding started getting a little antsy while waiting for all of the adults to go through the buffet line before the servers brought out their meals. Also, the meals for the vegetarians could have been brought out sooner.\r\rOther than that, the set up was the way we wanted it, the tables were gorgeous, and everything went as smoothly as Jeff and his team could make it. We received numerous compliments on the professionalism of the servers and they were incredibly helpful and friendly to my husband and me.\r\rI would definitely recommend this venue for another wedding and if I ever need to throw a catered event in the Lehigh Valley, I'm definitely talking to the Brew Works first! Nicole Cowley(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-06-2012 The Allentown Brewworks delivered the ultimate wedding experience for me and my husband, \"beer cheese soup\" to nuts. From catering a delicious rehearsal dinner offsite the evening before, to providing a comfortable bridal ready room for myself and eight other ladies to get ready, to helping us coordinate every last detail of our ceremony and reception, I could not have asked for a more perfect event. Our coordinator at the Brewworks, Wendie, really went the extra mile for us, ensuring all of our guests were comfortable and that everything went smoothly. Tammy Persun(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-09-2010 When searching for reception locations in the Philadelphia/Allentown area for our September 2010 wedding, I came across the Allentown BrewWorks. We immediately set up an appointment with Wendy (fabulous by the way) to view the location. It seemed to be the answer to all of our reception desires (close proximity, value (we paid for the wedding ourselves so this was spot on), beer selections, and atmosphere. Throughout the months of planning I couldn't have asked for more from Wendy. She was the perfect planner, calm, collected, full of ideas, and suggestions, and if it weren't for her we wouldn't have even found our perfect ceremony location (Lockridge Furnace Park). On the day of the wedding she even grabbed my mother out of the crowd during cocktail hour to take her up to the ballroom so she could get a sneak peek. I never thought of asking her to do this, but my mother truely appreciated it. All of our guests complimented us on the layout as well. They loved how cocktail hour was on one floor and then you moved up to the next level for the full reception. If we had the opportunity to relive our wedding day, we wouldn't change a thing about the reception...it was absolutely perfect!!! Reviewed on 28-04-2012

MaryJo Widdersheim(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-12-2011 I had my reception at the Barrister's Club and the Allentown Brew Works was one of the approved caterers for this site. I met Jeff DeAngelis at the Barrister's Club one night, and then started emailing him with different ideas for the reception. Jeff was very prompt in responding to emails, which I appreciated. With any change, he would send me an updated price total, so this helped me stay on budget. I met with Jeff about a month or so before the wedding to go over everything. I met with him at the Brew Works and we went over everything, including tablecloth colors and napkin colors. He brought up things I hadn't even thought of and asked me what I wanted to do. I'm glad he gave me tons of choices. At the meeting a month before the wedding, I added some more food choices to the cocktail hour. This was no problem for Jeff. He was very accommodating. When I was unsure of tablecloth choices, Jeff volunteered to go over to the Barrister’s Club later that week and email me pictures of how the different tablecloths looked at the club, which was really helpful. At the reception, we had prime rib, chicken parm, and eggplant (something, lol I forget). The guests loved the food, I had gotten so many compliments on it. I had the prime rib and it was cooked exactly how I told Jeff I wanted it to be (for everyone). I thought the prime rib was delicious. I didn’t hear any complaints about the food and one person even remarked “I can’t believe the Brew Works made this” which I think is a compliment. For being a casual restaurant, the Brew Works made really elegant, delicious food. I have been to Christmas parties at the Allentown Brew Works in the past and was always impressed with their services at the Brew Works as well. I would definitely recommend the Brew Works for on site or off site catering. Reviewed on 11-03-2012

Rachael Sell(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-10-2011 When we were planning our wedding it was very important that our venue ja character ABW certainly did. They were great in the planning phase. They day of we did run into a couple of snags. There were details missing (whih were quickly fixed) and champagne missing from the bridal room (which was not fixed), not to mention the clean up ent less than smooth - our top layer of wedding cake ended up in such a large pile of things I wasn't sure it even made it home a first. The biggest issue we ha was that we chose buffet style an were told by the coordinator that we could take any extra food home since we paid for extra plates, award we were then told that because of how log the food sat out that was not the case. Overall I woul recommen. It was beautiful. Just make sure you have a command of the details and get everything in writing. Reviewed on 18-10-2011
Jacquie Miley(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-09-2010 My husband and I are polar opposites. He wanted a traditional wedding and I wanted funky and the Allentown Brew Works had the perfect blend. We actually had 3 levels rented off. One level was for our ceremony that had beautiful brick walls and beer vats (funky). Cocktail hour was held in the basement that had sofas, pool tables, and big screens in which we were able to show a video (fun). Then our reception was upstairs and was held in a formal dining room, very elegant (formal). \rThe food was amazing. We got so many compliments on that. Plus Wendie, our coordinator, freakin' awesome. She was very organized and professional and helped us out when we needed to cut cost. On that note, best pricing around the Lehigh Valley. Although the chocolate fountain was a bit pricey but my husband wanted it. \rBest place to have a wedding. My husband and I are already thinking about renewing our vows there for our 9th anniversary - 9/19/19 - I like palindromes. Reviewed on 21-08-2011

Wendie and her staff were terrific; we were treated no differently than any other couple. Wendie took the time to meet with us and discuss our options. She took our ideas and made them happen. The day of the wedding was stress-free thanks to Wendie and her staff. \r\rOur ceremony was performed in the “High Gravity” room, our cocktail hour was in the “Silk Lounge”, and our reception was in the “Hamilton Room”. Each room was decorated in pink and black (our wedding colors) and looked absolutely beautiful. Wendie and her staff even wore pink and black outfits! \r\rThe food… amazing! Our guests had many compliments about how delicious the food was. And of course, their beer is great! If you’ve never been there, they brew they’re own beers, which are all awesome! \r\rWe loved the ABW so much that we came back a few months later to plan a surprise 30th birthday party! Romantic and refined and all that I had hoped for. \rThen it was down to the Silk lounge for the most amazing, party/night-club atmosphere reception that we had dreamed of. It was exactly what we wanted. Some of our choices were a little non-traditional, having pool tables at our reception and the Phillies game on the TV's, but the great thing about the Brew Works and Wendie is that the venue and staff can accomodate whatever the dream is for you wedding, traditional, casual, romantic, off-beat or in our case BIG PARTY!\rOne of the best comments that we heard about our wedding was \"I've been to a lot more expensive weddings, but I've never been to a better wedding!\"\rIn hindsight there is absolutely NOTHING that I would have changed about our experience at the Brew Works.
