Sidney Barker(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-11-2019 First and foremost, this venue is GORGEOUS. Such an authentic vintage look and feel, which is absolutely my style. On top of the reasonable price, I feel like I struck gold as far as that goes! Rachel and her father, Tom, are very sweet and helpful. I truly enjoyed working with them and would recommend them to any brides who want venue owners that make you feel like you’re a friend. They really care about their brides. I saw a lot of reviews that were displeased with the lack of decor the venue offers, but I’m the kind of person who prefers a blank canvas to do what I want with. The venue is beautiful by itself, with the few pieces of antique furniture here and there, I thought it was perfect and we really only needed minimal decorations because I honestly thought the venue was so beautiful, I didn’t want to take away from it. Rachel and her beautiful venue truly made for my perfect wedding day, and even better photos! I never wanted the day to end. Thank you to Rachel and Tom for everything, truly! Reviewed on 11-12-2019

I love this venue! First of all, it’s a historic venue with some amazing original details that I’m obsessed with! Second of all, it’s recently had a little makeover and it’s even more beautiful than before. It’s white walls and dark hardwood flooring allow for so many different color/theme options. The owner, Rachel, is awesome! I’m a wedding planner and have done several weddings/events there and it’s always a joy to be there!!! Reviewed on 27-10-2019

Veronica Cassel(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-06-2018 Prettiest outdoor area ever. I loved this place. The inside is beautiful and has an amazing area for the girls to get ready, and has a cool room for the guys to hang out as well. It is a great place for amore intimate wedding. I had my heart set on an outdoor ceremony, and when it rained the day of, we were able to still go outside since they have stamped concrete outside the guests and bridal party walk and stay on, and not be in the grass and mud. They were amazing about setting up all the chairs and tables, and even helping wipe down the chairs so guests could have dry chairs to sit in after the rain. It was beautiful, well priced, and so unique. I heard a lot of my guests loved it as well! Reviewed on 02-07-2018

Chelsea Rink(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-03-2017 My husband and I LOVE this venue. The courtyard is beautiful and you wouldn't need any extra decorations unless you preferred it. The reception space was great (enough to accommodate our 150ish guests) and we still had plenty of space for the dance floor. The bridal suite is great because you can look out the window and watch your guests arrive, or take a peek at your groom as he is taking photos in the courtyard ;) also, Rachel at the event center is SO great! She's at every open house, answering questions. She's also just straight forward about expectations for the bridal party. We recommend this venue for the space it accommodates, and the historic charm it has. Reviewed on 23-04-2017
Amanda Titus(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-02-2017 The place itself was beautiful despite some renovations still in progress. I chose the have my ceremony outside. It was a little chillier than expected, and the greenery hadn't yet come in, but I was still pleased with it's natural beauty. It does cost a bit more to have it outside because they have to set up the chairs for you. I started to get a little nervous when the chairs weren't there when we started taking pictures, but they did get set up in time for our guests to sit before the ceremony started. All in all I think the ceremony went smoothly and looked very pretty. Reviewed on 14-03-2017
Julia Brown(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-03-2017 I would definitely recommend festivities! I had a great experience having my wedding here in March. The building itself is beautiful and has recently had a \"spruce.\" Rachel has added a lot of new touches and additions to the property that are well noted. There are some restrictions to decorations and set-up to maintain the property, but I really liked that I could carry out the wedding I visualized since the event center provides a blank canvas. \"Affordable elegance\" is a great description! Ashley Lovato(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-10-2014 If you love vintage, you'll love this venue. It's a belly nicely renovated post office in El Reno, OK which was very convenient for us and our family as most of us live in Yukon, or other suburbs west of OKC. The owners are very laid back and easy to work with but definitely want to keep their historic venue and vintage furniture in fantastic condition. They were much more reasonable in their requirements, we got to do/have everything we wanted! They even have a bar in the venue (no bodyguards required!) and their own liquor license! The courtyard is beyond beautiful as well. A outside ceremony, weather permitting, was a must-have for me. They have a great pergola you can dress up or use as is because along with their gates/fences its covered in grapevine. Plus there's 2 working water fountains, columns, trees, potted plants, full bushes, a very nice deck with string lighting around, etc etc. It was absolutely the perfect setting for our ceremony and reception! The inside had more brilliant columns, great light fixtures which were dimmable, fans, the most gorgeous hardwood floors & even marble in the front entry area, tall windows everywhere, free plentiful parking... I cannot say enough great things about this venue! Best value for an amazing rustic historic vintage yet fancy venue! Reviewed on 03-11-2014
Hillary Minick(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-12-2013 This is by far the best venue in it's price range and location. If you are looking for a more hands on wedding, this is the place for you. They only provide the building, some rentals, and bar, so you are able to get creative with the rest. The staff couldn't be friendlier, and were very easy to get in contact with. Reviewed on 16-01-2014

This was an amazing venue and we are still getting compliments on it weeks later. The only complaint we had was the small caterrers kitchen, but I don't think for a normal wedding it would have been a problem because it had a lot of counter space, a big fridge, ice machine and everything. Tom and Rachel are amazing people to work with and were very caring and helpful throughout the whole year of me planning our wedding. It is a more DIY venue setting up and tearing down wise but it was an amazing value for what you got. My wedding was perfect because of them and I will be forever grateful. The only thing was the bartenders I heard weren't the nicest to some of our guests which bumbed me out they were nice to me of course but I did not like hearing they were super friendly to our other guests. Other than that I wouldnt have picked any other venue for my wedding day. The building is gorgeous has an old rustic feel. The bridal suite was amazing and perfect for me and my girls! Emily Baker(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-04-2012 This venue is actually an early century post office in the downtown area of El Reno, OK. It was perfect for my \"vintage pop\" theme. Beautiful grounds with a courtyard with an altar, and a deck for people to mingle outside. The entire upstairs is reserved for the bridal party to get ready, one side for the boys, the other for the girls. They DO NOT allow outside alcohol, they busted us and were not happy (especially since there are signs everywhere upstairs that state this). They will pop open a bottle or two early if you ask them though. Rachel was the best. She helped us with the vision and made it happen, offering helpful suggestions that would only come from years of experience. We also rented our linens from them and they ran the bar service as well (cool old bar in a seperate room from the main hall). You get alot for the money, and it's definitly a bargain ($1500 for a weekend wedding during peak months). Our photographer took some cool shots of downtown, it's a very cool location. It's not your average wedding venue (BORING!), it's very beautiful, even without a lot of decor. Reviewed on 03-05-2012
Jessyca Wander(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-03-2012 Overall, Festivities Event Center was great. The building has a lot of historical charm, and the area outside was great, & great for pictures. Our guests enojoyed being able to walk around outside during the reception, and was plenty of room for everyone. We had about 60 guests, along with the wedding party. We had to put a lot into decorating, but everything turned out beautiful. Overall we were very happy with how everything turned out. However, I do have some complaints. \r1. It's a little overpriced, given what you actually get. \r2. We had to spend a lot on decor, inside & outside (which was not over the top, just simple & elegant). Despite having green grass and other greenery outside, we had to add a lot to make it feel right. \r3. The bathrooms upstairs are in serious need of some remodeling, (in the \"ladies\" room there was even a urinal & they were pretty dingy, so we didn't even use them). \r4. The stairs in the building are really steep, and not good for older folks, or anyone with knee/joint issues, which was a little bit of a problem since the bridal and groom's suties are upstairs. \r\rIf they remodel the bathrooms upstairs, add more to the garden outside, and provide at least some linens, we feel it would be more worth the price. Having said that though, like I said before, we are really happy with how everything turned out, & it is a good venue. Reviewed on 28-04-2012
