I attended a wedding at Firehouse some 8 years back or so now and at that time couldn't imagine getting married but if I did, it would've been at a beautiful venue like that. Fast forward to 8 years later and we got married at Firehouse. My wife fell in love with the venue as soon as we pulled up. Its a 1920s firehouse and alll the beautiful, unique, and intricate details make the venue absolutely gorgeous. The details from outside, inside, and the rooms are beautiful. The location is amazing and everyone at the wedding loved the ambience. You don't even need much decor with how beautiful the space is. Highly recommend the 3 rooms upstairs. Now for the staff, Sarah and Teddy helped us up to the wedding and were organized and very communicative. They supported us throughout with decisions and made sure the day of went perfectly. I literally cannot think of a thing I would change because how smoothly their help made the event go. The staff who opened put out the decor and it was perfect. They were extremely caring and helpful. One Firehouse member had helped fix our polaroid cause a guest messed up putting in film and he was right on top of it. The staff was so caring and helpful! Thank you all sooooo much!Book firehouse for all your events. You would not regret it at all!*Photos taken by Jungle Branch Reviewed on 11-11-2023

Having our wedding at the firehouse was the best choice we made! The venue is so beautiful that you really don’t need that much decor, and it just feels so intimate, special and historic! The staff are so kind, easy to work with and organized. The meetings leading up to the wedding made me feel at ease and the day of coordinator made everything run seamlessly. We both made an entrance on the fire pole which the guests loved and we also had a food truck pull up to the double doors which people also loved! I also feel like Sarah & Teddy were very clear in their communication which helped everyone understand what was going on & also were attentive to our wishes! :) Reviewed on 28-08-2023

I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said about Firehouse Chicago. They are 10 out of 5 venue. If you are interested in a place that will a) handle the logistics, b) recommend amazing vendors, and c) create a literal GOAT'd wedding (direct quote from a guest) you have to pick Firehouse Chicago. Every single of our guests complimented us on how smooth the ship ran and that is all due to the outstanding team at Firehouse. From Day 1 they let us know they'll help with day-of coordination and a spreadsheet that will help manage the timeline. These two pieces are not to be understated as they helped align all the pieces for everyone in our wedding! To boot they KILLED it with the decoration and all our guests could not stop talking about the fire pole entrance. Firehouse also works so nicely with all their recommended vendors (Lula Cafe in particular, which if you haven't started shopping for caterers go there after you've booked with Firehouse). I wish I could say more than the allotted word count I have here but I don't want to bore you. Make your life easy, amaze your guests, show them a side of Chicago they don't see often and book with Firehouse now. Also, for those of you worried about the proximity to downtown fret not Lake Shore Drive made it actually super convenient for our guests. Shout-out also to Nicki from TWA (get her for photos) and Barrelman Tavern for the best impromptu afties. Reviewed on 31-07-2023

Venue Director Paige was such a joy to work with. We really wanted to have a venue that had the option of an outdoor ceremony, but also had indoor space as a backup plan in the event of inclement weather. Chicago in October can be kind of a gamble weather-wise. Firehouse Chicago is ready for anything. They have a tent at the ready, and they also offer standing heaters or tent heaters for an additional fee. (Lucky for us, we had a sunny, autumn Saturday so we only added on the standing heaters, like the ones you see on restaurant patios, and we were able to have our ceremony outside.) I highly recommend splurging on the bridal suite add-on. It was so great and relaxing getting ready in the same place as our ceremony/reception. A tip: If you want an outdoor ceremony, talk to your photographer about ceremony timing. We picked our ceremony start time based on our photographer's recommendations, with natural light in mind. Our only tiny regret: We wrongfully assumed we could rehearse at the venue the night before our wedding. There was a wedding the night before ours so we were unable to rehearse in the venue. If rehearsing in the venue the day or night before is important to you, ask about scheduling that before deciding on your wedding date. Reviewed on 27-10-2018

We live in the neighborhood, plan to buy a home in the neighborhood, and wanted to get married in the neighborhood, but even if we didn’t live here we would have loved the Firehouse. It was the perfect size for our party (71), the yard is private, beautiful, and green in early July, and the interior is classy and effortlessly full of character with no additional decoration. The field tables were beautiful with just place settings and flowers, and really filled the room. The bride descended the stairs out back to walk down the aisle, we took our family photos against the towering wooden doors, and everybody loved s’mores around the gas firepit. Michelle was incredibly helpful and guided us through the entire event planning process in cooperation with our caterer - we felt in good hands all the way through, with all our questions answered early and all of our worries eased by pros. They orchestrated the flow of the evening smoothly and invisibly, guiding everyone from ceremony and cocktails outside, to dinner inside, to toasts outside, and back to dancing inside - it was perfect. The whole event went off without a hitch and we couldn’t be happier with the venue and our memories of the day. Sliding down the firepole in your wedding clothes is a hell of a way to start a life together. We highly recommend it and hope to have an excuse to book the Firehouse again some day. Michael Germeister(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-10-2016 Hands down, the best wedding venue in Chicago! Not only coming from the happy grooms, but from every single guest at our wedding. We started shopping for wedding venues well in advance of our special day, but the minute we walked into the Firehouse we knew there was no need to look any further. The Firehouse isn't only amazing because of its character and beauty, but because it also comes with Michelle, the venue manager! She was an irreplaceable aspect of our wedding planning and the execution of our magical night. She was there for us every step of the way and made sure that everything we discussed and planned turned out even better than we could have imagined. If you are looking for the perfect place for your wedding or special event, look no further, Firehouse Chicago is the best around! Reviewed on 28-11-2016
