Everything about the event and venu was amazing. Te staff and coordinators are phenomenal at every level. They are so amazing that my daughter is using them for he wedding in a few months. The food was impressive, the decor was perfection, the grounds were immaculant, and the staff took care of every detail so that my husband and I could enjoy our celebration. You get what you pay for. If it is within your wedding budget, this is the place you want to choose for your big day.

Fishermen's Inn DEFINES excellence. They make every part of the wedding process as easy as it can be, from start to finish. Their planning, food, bartending, and overall service are top tier. We wanted to chose a venue that was as all-inclusive as possible. We were able to plan our wedding from out of state thanks to the amazing team at Fishermen's Inn. They give you recommendations for vendors they love to help you narrow down your search which I found to be extremely helpful. You really feel like part of the family at Fishermen's Inn and I would recommend this venue to anyone!

Working with the staff at Fishermen's Inn was incredibly easy and super enjoyable. Kara over there is a pro: we had fun in every conversation planning our wedding, and everything we discussed was executed as planned on our wedding day. Fishermen's Inn takes care of so much: the scheduling, the bar, food, seating, decor, etc. Kara worked 1:1 with our florist, photographer, bakery, band, and makeup to schedule the day and make sure everything went by smoothly. So many things that we just did not have to worry about, because Fishermen's Inn was on top of it for us.The venue was beautiful on the day of our wedding. We loved spending nearly all day there, getting ready, taking photos, and the wedding ceremony & reception itself. The food was tremendously good. Our guests repeatedly mentioned how nice and professional everyone on the staff was, including John the bartender and Kara herself. We'll also shout out Patti, who gave us a hug every time we walked in the door throughout the entire planning process. Our wedding day was perfect, and we know that was because we picked the best venue around - Fishermen's Inn.

The Fishermen’s Inn beyond exceeded our expectations! From the very first time contacting them they were professional and responsive. Any question we had they answers promptly and accurately! The venue is absolutely stunning and very well maintained. Our other vendors also had nothing but good things to say about the fishermen’s inn. They enjoyed working with them and altogether created a beautiful day!The food was absolutely amazing and our guests were raving about dinner all night. The staff was very attentive and supporting on the day of the wedding. Guests loved everything was at the same location but in different areas of the venue to keep things moving. The fishermen’s inn was absolutely amazing and they made our wedding day absolutely perfect! We both would recommend them to anyone getting married. They were very easy and wonderful to work with!

My husband and I had the absolute best wedding experience thanks to Fishermen’s Inn! Even from the start, the owner, Patti, took us on a tour of the venue and we never felt rushed once. She also sent us a beautiful hand written note following our tour. We then had our coordinator, Kara, who was very responsive and easy to work with. We really chose Fishemen’s because of its beauty and it is really a one stop shop. They made the wedding day so easy and we had so many compliments on the venue!! Also, the food is INCREDIBLE! We are big foodies so that was important to us. It filled my heart to hear guests say this was one wedding they walked away full from! They also let us get creative with our signature drinks and they were a hit! We also used several of their vendors and all were great to work with.If you want an easy, gorgeous wedding day then look no further than Fishermen’s Inn!

I cannot say enough good things about Fishermen’s Inn. Patti gave us our first tour and explained everything so thoroughly to us. We could clearly tell from our first visit that the staff was extremely organized, the venue layout was well thought out, and they were highly experienced in successfully planning and executing weddings and other events. Once we booked with them, we were paired with their coordinator Kate, who worked with us thoroughly during the planning process to make sure every detail was discussed and carried out. Kate answered all of our questions and concerns promptly, lead us through 3 planning meetings to iron out all the details, and was patient and kind throughout the entire planning process. During our rehearsal, multiple people in our bridal party told me how impressed they were with the organization of Kate and then venue. The rehearsal was run smoothly and efficiently, and we were able to practice all details of the ceremony so everyone was prepared. Arriving to the venue the day of our wedding was a dream. We planned for food to be provided for lunch, and it was promptly served after we arrived. I was very nervous, but arriving at the venue and seeing that everything was handled and was going smoothly eased my nerves greatly. We stayed promptly on schedule with the help of Kate and other Fishermen’s Inn staff, and I felt we were seamlessly guided through the day. There were times when I was panicked because I didn’t know what time it was or if we were on schedule with our timeline, but then Kate or another staff member would swoop in and reassure us that everything was on schedule. At the end of the night, I kept saying to my husband “I don’t think anything at all went wrong!” Still to this day, I feel like everything went according to plan and the day went perfectly. Even if there were any issues, my husband and I didn’t hear about them or have to deal with them, which might be the best part! We have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was and how good the food was. I would not change a single thing about our experience with Fishermen’s Inn. If you are looking for a venue that has their stuff together, makes the planning process WAY less stressful, and walks you through every step of the way to create the wedding day of your dreams, Fishermen’s Inn is it!!!

Fishermen's Inn is the perfect venue for a wedding! Since touring the venue, we knew it was the one for us and we had absolutely no regrets throughout the whole process! Our coordinator Kate was amazing while we planned the wedding. During the planning process, we lived out of state and they were very accommodating with our meetings and staying in touch. They took care of everything from the food and alcohol to providing and awesome vendor list and taking on the shuttles to make sure everything was perfect for the day. The food was AMAZING and the venue was absolutely stunning! They made me question if wedding planning was even hard with all the work they took on that I didn't have to worry about. Kate made it seem like our wedding was the only one she was working on while working on all her other events. The week of the wedding, she was always available to talk, especially when it came to our weather. We had to change the ceremony to be inside last minute due to rain but you wouldn't be able to tell at all if you were attending the wedding. The guests were in love with the venue especially the separate rooms for the dinner portion and the dancing. It gave everyone a chance to be in the area they were most comfortable in. The whole day went off without a flaw and it's hard to say that for some weddings. I cannot recommend this venue and Kate enough!

This property is very beautiful. We were very lucky this last month. Have a beautiful day to have a ceremony and cocktail hour outside and reception inside. The staff were amazing and attentive to anything we needed. It was great to have a coordinator that worked there. I cannot recommend Fishermen's Inn enough! From our first visit to our wedding day, they were great to work with! We primarily worked with Kate and she was fantastic! She was very easy to communicate with and had good suggestions when we had questions or needed advice on some things. The food was great and they did a great job accommodating my many food allergies as well as some guest allergies. The day of went SO smoothly due to their wonderful staff which really allowed us to enjoy our day without worrying about logistics. We could not have asked for a better venue to have our wedding at and we can not recommend them enough!

Fishermen’s Inn made our wedding day one we will never forget. From the very beginning just looking at venues, Patti was so kind to us and was giving us great advice even though we hadn’t yet committed to them. Once we said yes, every staff member we came in contact with helped answer our questions with the planning, especially our wedding coordinator Kara. The venue is gorgeous, the staff and service was fantastic, and we had so many guests tell us later that it was the best wedding they had ever been to.

The easiest Yes. When my now Husband and I were touring Venue's, we went to look at Fishermen's Inn, and actually had another tour scheduled after that. As soon as we concluded our tour at Fishermen's Inn, we immediately cancelled the second tour we had that day. The staff were so incredibly Kind, and were beyond communicative throughout the Wedding planning process. We absolutely LOVED their tasting event they put on for their couples, it was an amazing way to get to taste a variety of their foods in preparation for the big day. Not only that, but when it came to Wedding Weekend, the staff were simply amazing. Constantly checking in with us ladies in the Bridal Suite, making sure the men were taken care of in the Groomsman Suite. Our Coordinator, Kara, was amazing. She would answer all of our tedious emails within minutes, she was always reassuring us that if we had any question to reach out to her no matter what. Fishermen's Inn is the perfect elegant but rustic Wedding Venue that fit our style perfectly. We could not recommend Fishermen's Inn enough!!

We loved the venue, staff, and entire wedding experience at Fishermen's Inn! Totally exceeded expectations! After deciding that we wanted to have an outdoor wedding ceremony, it was extremely important to me that our venue had an equally-as-stunning indoor option so that we'd be stress-free in case it rained on wedding day. Fishermen's Inn is GORGEOUS. The flowers, ponds, and trees definitely sold us, but the indoor venue space is also incredible. We ended up holding a smaller pre-ceremony marriage contract signing ritual in that indoor space because we didn't want to let it go to waste! The windows are floor-to-ceiling and make you feel like you're on the pond. While we were initially hesitant about having split rooms for dinner and dancing, we ended up loving the extra space for dancing (side note: hire One Night Band if you want to keep your guests on the dance floor all night!). Also, the food was delicious! Just know that they only have a few specific dates that you can select to do the food tasting, and it's a pre-set menu (meaning you cannot necessarily try all of the dishes you're interested in). We were planning the wedding from out of town, so we ended up making a special trip to be able to taste the food in advance. Aside from that, Fishermen's Inn was extremely flexible/accommodating and made everything easy for us, even as we navigated planning the wedding remotely!! We ended up swapping out the soup course (it was July) for sorbet, brought in our own wedding cakes from the Cheesecake factory, made COVID-specific requests, and they executed flawlessly. We also had multiple friends/family members come to tour the venue for us while on Zoom calls with us since we couldn't travel when we were making our selection, and they couldn't have been nicer about it. We can't say enough good things about all of the staff. Kate was our planner, and she relieved all the stress on wedding day by taking care of EVERYTHING! She even made sure that appetizers from cocktail hour and lemonade from the ceremony were available in the bridal suite for us after the ceremony as we shared a few private moments together. We loved how organized and detailed our pre-wedding timeline was, and she made us feel like this was the most important wedding in the world!We are so happy we chose Fishermen's Inn!!!

Fishermen’s Inn was the first and only venue we checked out for our September 2022 wedding and we couldn’t be happier with our decision after getting married a few weeks ago! It was evident from the moment we walked in that Fishermen’s Inn is unlike any other venue in the area. The staff’s level of service, knowledge and attention to detail are unmatched. Guests continue to rave about the quality of food, service, landscape and overall atmosphere, saying they never attended a more spectacular venue. I also can’t say enough good things about our coordinator Kara who was always on top of everything and might actually be the fastest person to respond to emails that I’ve ever met. Wedding planning felt like a breeze with their planning guide, preferred vendor list and open lines of communication. Our wedding day was truly the BEST day ever and so much of that is owed to Fishermen’s Inn!

Everyone loved how beautiful the venue was inside and out. Our wedding coordinator Kate helped us with everything and was there every step of the way and the owner, Patti was so wonderful to work with as well! My husband and I got married at Fisherman’s Inn, it is also the location where he proposed to me. If I could give Fishermen’s inn more than 5 star I would! Firstly the grounds are absolutely stunning! I got a drone footage of the place so I can forever look at how beautiful it is!! Inside the venue is just breathtaking, especially when you have all your wedding decor up too. I have so many great photos!! The staff are incredibly! Patti is the best!! She definitely made me, my husband and my little baby girl like family! We had to postpone our wedding due to covid and Patti was so accommodating. Kara is an incredible wedding coordinator. She has a lot of experience, great recommendations and is so organized, it made me feel at ease during planning and especially on the day. She also decorated my cake so I know she can put cake decorator on her resume now too ha. The day was magical and seamless, and I couldn’t have done it without her. The bar staff were great on the day!! Everyone you meet working there are so caring! They will forever have a place in my heart. Now let me tell you about the food… I still have people raving about the food and we got married in April 2022. They support and serve food from local business which I think is great!! If I could do the day all over again I would in a heartbeat!

Fishermen's Inn was the first venue we toured and we fell in love with it immediately! Our wedding day exceeded all of our expectations, and Kate and the rest of the Fishermen's Inn staff made the day so seamless and we were able to relax and truly enjoy ourselves without worrying about a thing. Kate also helped to make the planning process so easy and was there every step of the way for any question we had leading up to the wedding. Our guests could not stop raving about our venue- how beautiful and unique it was, the delicious food, and the amazing service. Thanks to Fishermen's Inn our wedding day was absolutely perfect and we cannot thank them enough!

My husband and I got married on April 8th at Fishermen’s Inn. We had originally planned to have an outside ceremony and cocktail hour but the weather did not cooperate. One of the reasons we chose Fishermen’s was because they have a beautiful inside ceremony location as well. This made the rain/snow more bearable knowing our backup location was just as picture perfect. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Fishermen’s Inn. The day of our wedding was flawless and everyone was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Our guests raved about the service and the food. Thanks for making our day so special!

Having our wedding at fishermens was the best decision I made during wedding planning. I thought that living in Washington, DC, planning a wedding in Illinois was going to be super stressful, but the people at fishermens made it the easiest experience ever. They are so organized, helpful, and on top of all the planning. I genuinely did not need to hire a wedding planner because they were so organized and experienced in throwing a great event. From set up to take down they were there every step of the way. I am so appreciative of Kate’s communication and support during this whole process. I would recommend everyone I could to host your wedding at Fishermens. Other pros: they serve and support local businesses including Reims Meat Market (their supplier for their food), they provide all tables and linens, set up of decor is included, they allow parking overnight/transportation, they box up all decor and allow pick up after the event, and they communicate to all your vendors personally to coordinate timing. Overall, I could not be more thankful to the people at Fishermens for making all my wedding dreams come true!

We had been working on our wedding plans since June 2019 and we were suppose to have the big wedding we had been planning March 2021 but of course covid happened. They let us still use the venue for our ceremony and some pictures and we rebooked for our big wedding in March 202.Kara was absolutely AMAZING with all of the rescheduling of all of our different meetings and events. When we got closer (and finding out that we were expecting our first little one), Kara and the Fishermen's Inn team did everything with attention to detail when it came to making sure no one knew until we announced it after dinner. Everything was flawless from start to finish, so many compliments about the food as well as the venue from all of our guests combined!

I can't speak highly enough about Fishermen's Inn!!! From the moment we booked our venue we were impressed with the support, excitement and attention to detail that Fishermen's Inn gave us throughout our engagement! Every detail was incredible. The day of coordination was amazing so much so that as the bride I did not have to worry about anything going awry. The staff at the venue on our big day were incredibly kind and you could tell that they genuinely were so happy for my husband and I. The venue is stunning. Each room is more beautiful than the last. We loved the rustic chic vibe. Even in winter, the ceremony space was beautiful with candle light down the aisle and at the window. The grounds are also gorgeous. We were able to take our engagement photos at the venue space in the fall which is beautiful at this venue. Our wedding photos are going to be just as beautiful I am sure! The food was INCREDIBLE. We had so many people tell us that the food was top notch. I would recommend this venue one million times again. We had the most wonderful day and are so happy we were able to have our wedding at Fishermen's Inn!

We had our wedding at Fishermen's Inn in October 2021, and everything was stunning! From the time of booking through our wedding day, Kate, Patti, David, and any staff we interacted with were kind, communicative, and professional. Every corner of this venue—indoors & outdoors--is beautiful, making it a great choice for a wedding at any time of year. When I walked in to the reception space on our wedding day (our ceremony was at a church offsite), it was literally breathtaking! The attention to detail at Fishermen’s Inn is unparalleled. The quality of food & beverage was outstanding—our friends and family are still talking about the tomato bisque and filet mignon. Kate was an excellent day-of coordinator, and I cannot thank her enough for answering so many of my questions & helping to pull off our perfect day! I hope we get the pleasure of attending a wedding at Fishermen's Inn as a guest some day!

We cannot say enough about how wonderful Fishermen's Inn was to work with. From our initial tour and postponement (thanks COVID), to the day of, they were wonderful to work with. I wanted to get married at FI (rustic, barn- like) but wanted a glam, black- tie wedding. I wasn't sure how we would accomplish this, but it worked out perfectly. Kate was great to work with and really got stuff done. She was responsive to calls and emails. My only qualm with this venue, which is to be expected in the industry I suppose, is how they nickel and dime you for every item/service. Arriving earlier than 11am on the wedding day was $, lunch for the bridal party (you aren't allowed to bring anything at all in) was $$, rentals for china/silverware/linens (you have to use their vendors) were $$$. Don't let the barn/rustic vibe fool you into thinking their services cost any less than fancy hotels or grand venues. This place is expensive, but they deserve every penny for the beautiful event they put on for us. Would highly recommend this venue if you have a healthy budget.

Truly the best experience ever working with the Fishermen’s Inn. My now husband and I initially toured the venue in 2019 and planned for a 2020 wedding. When covid shut the world down for the year, fishermen’s inn was so incredibly accommodating and supportive of us moving our wedding to 2021. And it was so worth the wait! Kara was amazing to work with as a coordinator and made sure everything during the planning process and the wedding day was so seamless. The venue truly leaves no detail unnoticed for your wedding day. The food served for getting ready on your wedding day to cocktail hour to the sit down dinner is incredible. All of our guests have commented it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. We also have not stopped receiving compliments from our guest about how beautiful the venue is and what a gorgeous wedding we had. Majority of the credit goes to the fishermen’s inn for us having such a beautiful wedding. It is also so incredibly helpful that they are a “one stop shop”. You can have your ceremony and reception there, they cover catering and bar, and they have such a great rental catalog of anything you would ever want to rent for your wedding. Truly could not recommend Fishermen’s Inn enough to anyone considering getting married there. It was an absolute dream experience and a perfect wedding day.

Fishermen's Inn will always hold a special place in my and my husband's hearts. What a spectacular place! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and balances rustic vibes with the elegance you want for your wedding. The grounds are stunning rain or shine!On top of that, their staff is wonderful and so so helpful. Kate was our coordinator and she was so kind and you could tell she cared about making our day run so smoothly! She was so on top of the details and even worked directly with our third-party vendors to communicate the timeline for the day. I didn't have to worry about anything the day of our wedding because I knew she had it all handled.The one part of our wedding my husband cared about the most was the food, and Fishermen's Inn delivered! The food was fantastic! Our guests are still raving about the meal! They had a lot of options for us to choose from and it was so hard to narrow down our choices because everything was so tasty!Patty, Kate, and the whole Fishermen's Inn team made the planning process so easy and our wedding day was perfect. We are so blessed to have found them! Hoping we get to attend another wedding there in the future!

I can not say enough about how amazing our wedding was at Fishermen's Inn. Everything flowed so nicely and went according to plan! We had the ceremony inside but were still able to use the beautiful gardens for our pictures. The staff was absolutely wonderful! So genuine and thoughtful with all the planning and made sure that everything went according to plan. They cared so much to make sure that our day was incredible! We got so many compliments on the food and the drink options and how amazingly beautiful the grounds were by all our guests. We would recommend this venue to all!!

Honestly the BEST place to get married at! They were BEYOND wonderful dealing both our sides' parents and the problems they presented, along with dealing with the problem that was 2020! They even worked with us, so we could have our legal ceremony on the day we had picked last year, since it was such a special date to me. I cannot highly recommend them MORE! If you're thinking of making Fishermen's your venue, DO IT! You will NOT be disappoint and and I PROMISE you, your big day WILL BE amazing! We had our wedding here TWICE! Lol 100% the best venue we could've gone with! HUGE shout out to Linda, Patti, Kate, Kara and the rest of the ladies for bending over backwards for us and making everything perfect! I don’t even know where to start with this review… Our June wedding was so beyond perfect and I cannot thank anyone except for Fishermen’s Inn. Kara, Patty, Felicia, and the whole team made us feel welcome from the beginning of our journey with Fishermen’s. We toured the venue and grounds in August 2019 and booked our wedding for June 2021 after just one visit. The views, perks, packages, and service you get at Fishermen’s Inn are by and large worth every penny, and is so much more than you get at other venues in the area. Although we didn’t have to reschedule or modify our wedding, Kara and Patty were always available with email updates and reassuring phone calls. I cannot thank them enough for this, since I was most definitely panicking. Kara is quite literally the definition of a gem. She’s funny, personable, knowledgeable, professional - she’s everything you want in a coordinator. We had some minor inconveniences with some of our vendors and before I could even give it a second thought, she had the problem solved. My bridal party, mother, and mother in law are not an easy bunch to please, but after our wedding every person had nothing but raving things to say about everything Kara did for us. Choosing Fishermen’s Inn for your wedding venue should be a no brainer. It was absolutely the best decision we made!

Fishermen’s Inn is not only the most gorgeous venue you’ll ever see, but their staff goes above and beyond to provide stellar service and care to their couples! When my husband and I had to postpone our May 2020 wedding due to the pandemic, the staff was so compassionate and flexible. Our venue coordinator, Kate, helped us put together the perfect wedding celebration in June 2021. The kindness and excellence of the staff really sets Fishermen’s Inn apart from any other venue! We’ve received countless compliments from our guests saying that the food (I could go on and on about the food!!!) was the best they’ve ever had at any event! And our guests couldn’t stop talking about the stunning beauty of the Fishermens Inn’s grounds. All in all, I couldn’t imagine a more perfect venue for our wedding. We felt so cared for by the staff at every point in the planning process and ended up having the most spectacular wedding day that was definitely worth the wait!

The staff is incredible, the venue itself is stunning, the dedication and passion of everyone is amazing, and the food is delicious! Everything is very top notch and high quality there. They truly do take your vision and make it a reality. It was the first and only venue my now husband and I saw. The minute he saw my face when we toured it, he knew it was our place. They are communicative, thorough, helpful, etc. I will say, the price is a bit higher than others but it is well worth it!!! Our wedding day was completely stress-free❤️ They have tastings, events, meetings for you throughout the whole process. Not to mention, the food is served in a very fancy way- they practice a certain dance and deliverance of it all. It’s just outstanding!!!You will not regret booking there, I can assure you.

Kate made sure we didn't have to worry about a thing and coordinated with all of our other vendors to ensure everything went smoothly. She is so thoughtful and when we missed cocktail hour she delivered appetizers to our table to make sure we got to try them! The Fishermen's Inn is so much more than we could have ever imagined in a wedding venue. The food is DELICIOUS, the people are incredible, and the space is romantic and beautiful. I don't know where to begin to say how utterly fantastic my daughter and son in law's wedding was this past Saturday at Fishermens Inn!From the moment you walk through the doors of this unbelievably breathtaking venue, its like a fairytale.We worked with Kara from the first day through the wedding day/night and she was absolutely fantastic to work with! She answers any questions right away and has great ideas! We are constantly hearing compliments about the outstanding food and service from appetizers through dinner. The bar staff was on top of their game as well. I only wish I could be there every day, its so gorgeous! You will be hard pressed to find a better scenic venue or one with the quality of food and service of Fishermen's Inn!

We had our wedding here in July and it was an amazing day - the venue really is beautiful, the food and staff were incredible, and our coordinator Kara was very efficient and helpful throughout the whole process. The only disappointment we had was when half of the bistro lights we rented from them (which were definitely not cheap) went out during our reception, and it is very obvious when looking at our photos and video. It didn't ruin our whole wedding, but it is pretty disappointing

I am not sure where to start (like others have stated, I could write a short novel about Fishermen's Inn). The moment we walked into Fishermen's Inn, it was a done deal to book the venue (even my indecisive husband knew the moment we entered!) I did not know what to expect through wedding planning but I know it could not have been anymore flawless. Kara was our coordinator and was so sweet and insightful with suggestions every time we met. We loved the showcase event (don't miss it!) and the tasting was amazing. On the day of the wedding, the entire team made sure that we were comfortable and everything was going to plan. Our guests have just RAVED about the food (best wedding food ever), the incredible staff and how beautiful the venue and the grounds were. Everyone has told me it's impossible to have a \"perfect\" wedding day, but ours was absolutely perfect in every single way thanks to Fishermen's Inn, Patti and the entire team. We are so sad to no longer visit for our consultation meetings :) Thank you all for the best day EVER (almost four weeks later and we still can't stop reminiscing) and one we will remember for a lifetime.

Fishermens Inn went above and beyond from start to finish. My husband and I got married there just shy of two weeks ago and every staff member was so kind and helpful, especially our coordinator Kate. The venue is absolutely stunning and many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had been to. The food was amazing- all their meat comes from Reams meat market in elburn and if you know the area, you know they have quality meat. They kept everything moving along seamlessly throughout the planning process and Kate handled everything the day of so I, as the bride, did not have to stress about anything. Both Matt and I have said we want to do our wedding day over again because of how perfectly it went- Thanks to the staff at Fishermens Inn and their amazing venue.

Choosing a venue is so important in so many ways and I can honestly say Fishermen’s Inn exceeded my expectations. First, the venue is gorgeous and you can really customize the space to make it your own. Even without any decor the space is beautiful. My husband and I had our wedding outside, if weather did not permit us to do so the space that they have inside for Ceremonies is so pretty. Second, the staff is phenomenal. Kara was our day of coordinator and was so helpful throughout our planning process. We met with her 3 times before our wedding and she offered the best advice and helped us make our dream become a reality. Fishermen’s Inn is super easy to work with. Kara and the rest of the staff is always available to help via phone or email. One of the coolest things about Fishermen’s Inn is they have a showcase event where multiple vendors come and showcase different rental items and looks that you can choose for your day. This is great because you can actually see how florals, lighting, signs, etc. look in the space before your actual wedding. It also gives you the opportunity to see some of the other vendors work in person before booking. Next, the food is hands down the best wedding food I’ve ever had. Our guests raved about the food we had during cocktail hour and dinner. The drinks are also delicious. David made our specialty drinks for cocktail hour. They were the most refreshing/tasty mojitos. The station he served them at was so cute too! Lastly, our wedding day could not have gone more smoothly. Kara’s timeline that she created was perfect and the staff is well aware of everything at all times. This staff makes sure that everything on your day goes perfect.My husband and I knew from the moment we saw Fishermen’s Inn that it was the venue for us and I can honestly say it exceeded our expectations during our wedding and throughout our planning. Finding Fisherman's Inn after an exhausting search in and out of Chicago downtown venues was like finding a diamond in a haystack! We made a quick drive out there on a cold January day.The peace and calm was breathtaking. The staff warmly greeted us and went through almost every detail. Having the ceremony right at the venue was very important to my daughter. After viewing some early videos its clear that this was \"Their Wedding\". Well written, choreographed, and executed by the super staff at Fisherman's Inn. The Hotel suggested by the Inn was excellent and provided a fun weekend for our guests.We snap chatted my daughter (military husband) and she said please book it, it's charming and so different!Every season is beautiful there!

I don't even know where to begin when it comes to reviewing Fishermen's Inn. First of all, five stars is not enough. There are no words that can accurately capture how amazing this place truly is. The layout and grounds of the venue alone are absolutely GORGEOUS, nothing compares. Even on the darkest of days, Fishermen's Inn is a sight to be seen. But beauty alone isn't what makes this place so special, it's the people. We had the absolute pleasure of working very closely with Patti, Mandy, and David, and all three of them are phenomenal. Every time I reached out to them, they treated us as if we were the only couple that mattered. They had just as much excitement about our wedding as we did, and they truly put their hearts and souls into our special day. They went above and beyond for us throughout the entire planning process, and just when you think they've done it all they find a way to top themselves. We received so many compliments from all our vendors and every single one of our guests about how fantastic the entire staff was and how it is such an absolutely beautiful venue.The only downside of working with Fishermen's Inn is that it makes it so much harder to say goodbye. They will always hold a very dear place in our hearts, and they truly made our wedding day absolutely perfect.

We were so lucky to have worked with such a wonderful, caring, and loving team at Fishermen's Inn! From our first pop-in visit to see the interior of the venue to the food tasting day and showcase, everything was so easy in the planning stages. We worked with Mandy, Kara, and Kate throughout our wedding planning from September 2017 to our wedding in March 2019. Each of them has so much compassion and expertise in planning and coordinating events that suit each couple's needs. Even though we were very organized going into each meeting, the coordinators would come up with things we may have forgotten about or didn't even think of. Our wedding was everything we hoped for and more. Everything ran so smoothly and we were able to relax and really enjoy the magic of the day. Our family and friends still talk about how they thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful setting, delicious food, and the guest service that was provided. Everyone at the venue was so supportive and really made our event so fun and perfect. Our vendors also had an easy time working with everyone at Fishermen's Inn and were very impressed. Having our wedding at Fishermen's Inn was simply the best decision - it was worth every penny! One word of advice is to be open with setting a specific date because they fill dates fast!

If you're searching for a wedding venue, look no further! My wife and I were just married there on 1/5/2019 and could not be happier. The venue is spectacular and magnificent. A beautiful, rustic (but modern and not old-feeling) building, with stunning stone and wood throughout. The high, pitched-ceilings with exposed wood beams -which makes you feel like you're in a luxury ski lodge - in the reception and dining rooms set the perfect atmosphere, with big windows allowing in the excellent views of the grounds, and in the ceremony hall, you're literally standing above the water, with giant windows all around showing the gorgeous grounds scattered with ponds, trails, trees and hills. Second, the staff was nice and extremely skilled in hosting weddings. They are professional, organized, and flexible. They are so organized that all you have to do is follow their process and you'll have no worries at all. Definitely worth every penny we spent. The most telling indicator of the venue's value is that my wife and I, both our families, and our wedding party received so much feedback from our guests about how amazing the venue and location was, how nice and helpful the staff was, how delicious the food was, which they prepare in their own full-service kitchen, and how much fun they had. You will have a fantastic, unforgettable experience if you get married here.

The food was perfect and every guest we had at the wedding said it was the best wedding food they have ever tasted. The white glove service made the event go flawless. Having the separate room for dancing provided a ton of space for all our guests to enjoy the party in the way they felt was best; whether it was sitting, dancing, or standing talking to friends and family. Fishermen’s was the perfect venue in every way.

Fisherman’s inn was the most amazing experience ever! Not only is it such a beautiful place but it also comes with an even better coordinator Mandy! From start to finish she was unbelievable. She is always sweet, well organized and easy to work with. Mandy is who made it possible to have Bella my dog in my wedding, that was such a big deal since she’s such a big part of my family. She really went out of her way to make our day as perfect as it possibly can be. The only problem with this venue was once you are done being married you may never recover from not getting your monthly dose of Mandy! Worth every penny!

My HUSBAND (!!!!) and I got married at Fishermen's Inn on 8/31. It was seriously the most amazing day!! Everyone always talks about the grounds and they are just as beautiful as people say. So well kept and we seriously got so many compliments (it also helped that we had amazing weather). I made so many last minute changes in terms of vendors or guests who couldn't make it and Kara was able to accommodate them all. KARA IS AMAZING. So, so helpful. But honestly everyone there was just such a pleasure to work with. I am not a super organized person but Fishermen's pays attention to every single little detail. Nothing will be missed. If you are looking for a space to hold your reception that is beautiful, elegant, has attentive staff, DELICIOUS food and somewhere that will blow your guests away with it's greatness - have your wedding at Fishermen's!!

If I could give Fishermen's Inn more stars, I would! Our experience with Fishermen's Inn started in November of 2016. I was living in Florida at the time I got engaged, and my fiance was living in Chicago. A college friend of mine had gotten married at Fishermen's Inn and I fell in love with the venue. I called and they had June of 2018 available, but it was recommended we act fast. The very next day, my fiance and my parents went to FI and picked our wedding day, June 2nd! It wasn't until February 2017 that I even saw FI in person, I just knew that it was the place for us! Kate was our wedding coordinator and was hands down the best person to work with. She was incredibly helpful to work with. No matter the question, big or small, she was willing to help and was a huge part in making our day so special. Our friends and family were truly blown away by the service, the venue, the grounds, the food...I could go on and on! The organization from the entire FI team made our wedding weekend seamless! Set-up was a breeze and they take down the decorations at night and allow you to pick them up a few days later. AMAZING! We were all able to enjoy the night and not have to worry about logistics. Flowing through the venue and having it to ourselves was such a magical and different experience for our guests. June 2, 2018 was our perfect day and I am so grateful for the FI team for being a part of it. I am so happy we jumped on the opportunity to celebrate one of the happiest days of our lives at Fishermen's Inn. I would recommend their services to anyone! THANK YOU!!

Fishermen’s Inn is an incredible establishment and I couldn’t have dreamed of a better place to have my wedding. My husband and I got married in June 2018. I first toured the property and was lucky enough to have had Patti as my ‘tour guide’. She was so genuine and welcoming, she helped make sure left with all questions answered, and continuously took the time to follow up with us throughout the entire process. From my first moment of entering the venue and taking in all its beauty, there was not a question of doubt, we had selected the perfect location. Fishermen’s Inn is both rustic and elegant, every detail compliments the next. The entire planning process was made effortless and I had the pleasure of working with Mandy, our coordinator. Mandy was friendly, attentive and overall amazing! Our planning meetings were always warm and stress free, she was so detailed in running through the timeline and making sure no stone went unturned. She not only took care of making sure we were happy with the timeline for the day but also communicated with all our vendors to ensure they knew how the day would flow. Even during the showcase that was held in January, both her and Patti made it a point to find us to see how everything was going, if there were any questions we had and how they could help. The showcase mentioned was an opportunity to see/speak with a few of their preferred vendors, view rental options or décor, lighting etc., and while we went with our own vendors for most aspects, brought in our own décor, we did select our DJ from their preferred list and selected of few of the rental options that made the wedding phenomenal.Continuing into the planning process, we had planned to add the specialty drink station, which I recommend everyone does, and when we shared we wanted to ‘create’ our own, Mandy set up our own tasting with their Bar Manager/Mixologists to create (3) Groom’s Drink selections and (3) Brides Drink selections for us to taste. They went the extra mile to make sure we received what we wanted. We also made a few visits outside of our planning meetings to show the venue to my in-laws and parents, and all were made to feel important and special - they too fell in love. When we reached the rehearsal/day of the wedding, everything was PERFECT! People always share horror stories from their weddings and lucky for us we have nothing but amazing stories to share, everything was stress free! Fishermen’s Inn staff made everything run smoothly, made sure our needs were met, and everything was kept organized. Mandy was on top of every detail in making sure everything ran according to schedule and making sure everyone was happy and there were no issues. And an added plus, she made sure the bridal party when ‘hidden’ could enjoy the specialty cocktails as well as the guests as they arrived prior to the ceremony.Fast forward to almost 2 months out from the wedding and we still receive compliments on how amazing the venue, staff and food were. The quality of the food is out of this world, one of the most favored take away from our guests was having a butter knife that cut through the steak, that right there tells you the quality you are receiving. Overall my husband and I were blown away by the process and day. Our coordinator Mandy, the owners Patti and Mark and the entire Fishermen’s staff truly love what they do and helped to make our day perfect.

I could write a short novel about how perfect this venue is, but I’ll try to just highlight my favorite aspects. This place was truly a God send and I couldn’t dream of a better place to have had my wedding. I got married June 2018. After meeting the staff and touring the property, I asked where do I sign to book the place. This place is impeccably kept both inside and out. It truly is the perfect blend of rustic elegance, as I knew I wanted a hint of a barn/country feel but still maintain a traditional feeling of a formal wedding. The staff truly does make the place perfect, as each step of my wedding planning was made effortless. Any question or request I had, I had the option of reaching out by phone or email and had a reply very quickly(pretty much within the hour by email)! Each bride is given a wedding coordinator, with 3 set dates to meet with them to plan logistics of the wedding. Kara was my coordinator and was so warm, welcoming, and friendly. I can’t speak enough of what a help she was, and she along with every single other staff member genuinely wanted me to have everything I wished for for my wedding day. They are all very friendly and professional. Kara took care of the timeline of the day which was a HUGE help, along with coordinating with and communicating with all of my vendors on how the day was to go. I used mostly vendors from Fishermen’s preferred vendor list, and all were effortless to work with and gave me everything I wanted. They all knew the venue which made things very easy. Each couple also receives a formal invitation to both the tasting and the rental showcase events. This provides the chance to see the venue again, taste food options for your wedding day, and see the endless possibilities of items(decor, lighting, etc) you can rent directly from Fishermen’s Inn. I also visited the venue 2 more times in addition to this, and it was easy to schedule a time that was convenient for me to come in. The food was outstanding and I am quite picky when it comes to food! Everything down to how they serve the plated entrees to guests is wonderful and perfect. I can’t even count the compliments I am even now continuing to receive from my guests on how impressed they were with the grounds, food, staff, and how much fun they had. You get the entire property to yourself on the wedding day which is a huge plus. I had quite a few kids at my wedding and they (even the adults too let’s be honest) had a blast just enjoying the beautiful grounds and being able to spread out. It made for a very relaxed and fun environment. This place runs like a well oiled machine on the wedding day, and keeps things organized from your decor you bring in yourself to the flow of the timeline. It’s clear they all know what they are doing and make you feel very special and give very personalized attention to details. It seemed that every staff member knew mine and my groom’s name. I will say at first glance, it seems a little on the pricier side, but there are NO hidden or added on charges unless if you add stuff for rentals, and the price they quote will give you everything you need for the perfect day, and for a unique and quality experience it really is worth it. Overall, fantastic staff, great food that is 4-5 star restaurant quality, beautiful landscaping/grounds, and a ton of help to the bride in her wedding planning. I can’t recommend this place enough and truly have no bad things to say about my experience. They made my day perfect.

We just got married in May of 2018 and we cannot gush enough about this place! Fishermen’s Inn is truly the best when it comes to wedding venues. This was the first and ONLY place we looked at when deciding where to host our wedding and we could not be happier with how our day turned out. First of all, the grounds and the venue itself are absolutely stunning. The entire staff is wonderful, but we wanted to give a special shout out to Kara, who helped us with all our planning needs along the way. Kara was absolutely amazing and 100% made our planning process enjoyable and stress free. Where do I even begin? From the moment I walked into my new kitchen job at Fishermen's Inn in the spring of 2014, I knew I had found my dream wedding venue. Four years later, that dream became a reality. While I may be biased, I say Fishermen's Inn is the best of the best. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding day. Everything was absolutely perfect. The service is top notch, food is outstanding, bartender's choice was a huge hit, and our guests walked away claiming it was the \"best wedding ever\". Kate, who was our coordinator, was a joy to work with leading up to the big day. She was on top of everything and if anything went wrong the day of, we had NO IDEA. I didn't have to worry about anything. The staff handled everything professionally and graciously. From an insider's point of view, the day was flawless. More importantly, from a bride's point of view, it was everything I always dreamed of, and more. Thank you, thank you, thank you all from the bottom of my heart. They completly go above and beyond to make sure your wedding day, as well as the entire process, goes without a flaw. Everyone from the owners, the coordinators, and the staff make you feel like you are at home and leave you nothing to worry about. There was never a second where I was worried about anything throughout the process.The venue is absolutely spectacular! Both the indoor and outdoor grounds are breathtaking all year round. Our wedding was the end of November and we took some of the most amazing pictures outdoors. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Fishermen's Inn! From my initial visit, to the actual wedding day, the entire staff was incredible to work with. Kate, our wedding coordinator, was always organized, punctual, and helpful in executing my vision for the day. They have tons of decor rental options and you can't beat the location and building itself. Fishermen's Inn can accommodate indoor and outdoor ceremonies and has several options for cocktail hour as well as your reception. I can't say enough good things about Fishermen's and my entire families experience with them! It's been almost eight months since my wedding and I still receive compliments on the venue and how beautifully the day was executed.

Everyone was so welcoming, professional, personal, accommodating and responsive. I would absolutely recommend people use Fishermen's Inn for their wedding! We could not have asked for more!

I am the mother of the bride and the wedding was on October 15, 2917 at Fishermen's Inn in Elburn, Illinois. This beautiful venue has gorgeous grounds and the interior was recently renovated in a rustic but elegant style. The staff is extremely attentive from the planner to servers. Many of our guests said that the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding. They had an extensive list of vendors from which we chose a DJ, officiant, photographer, forist and baker and all were wonderful to work with and did a great job. This was a very positive experience from start to finish.

Our daughters wedding was not just an event at the Fisherman's Inn - but an Amazing Experience! From our first meeting to the wedding day, Patti, Mark and their entire staff welcomed us like family - everyone as professional as they were friendly. Many thanks to Kara who encouraged and guided the entire planning process and led us so beautifully through a perfect wedding day! The flow of the party was remarkable and the staff knew how to make it happen! A stunning setting, fabulous food, superior service...we couldn't have asked for more. Thanks to ALL at the Fisherman's Inn for providing such a special celebration for Kelly and Alex!

AMAZING!!!!!!! My husband and I just got married there on Oct. 13th and it was unbelievable. Everyone there went above and beyond throughout the entire process up until the day after the wedding. Literally Patti, Mandy and Kara were unreal. Always asking to help and if there was anything my bridesmaids and I needed. Right after the ceremony Mandy (our coordinator) asked my hubby and I if we wanted a drink and even saved us the food during cocktail hour that we missed. So sweet! Honestly this was hands down the best experience and venue we could have possibly chosen. Any bride that is looking for a unique venue that totally transforms to your vision...this is the place. Even there preferred vendors were awesome! We went with Sugar Path Bakery and Wallflower Designs!!! Seriously AMAZINGGGGG!!!!!!!!!

Best Wedding Venue any Bride could ever ask for!! My husband & I got married at Fishermen's 10-6-17 and we could not have picked a better venue! From the minute we stepped foot on the grounds we knew it was the place to be .... the exterior, interior, and environment are all beyond beautiful - I believe my friend put it best \"your weather Plan B, is prettier than most people's Plan A\" (it rained on the big day - but not even that could ruin it)We started our planning journey about 2 years ago (we had a long engagement) ... During the entire preparation process the staff (and our amazing coordinator Kate) were organized, respectful, and accommodating. They made planning a wedding from 800 miles away a breeze. No matter the question or request the team did the needed investigation work to make sure everything was perfect and to our liking. When the day finally came, not a single detail was missed. The Fishermen's Inn team took care of everything including all coordination with our other vendors - all this made it very easy for my husband & I to enjoy our Wedding Day for what it was & not have to worry about all the little stuff. It was the happiest day of our lives and a lot of that is thanks to Fishermen's & their staff! Thank you for all your hard work in making our special day the best day ever!!
