ABOUT US The Flying J Ranch is a ten acre special event venue just outside of Ruidoso, New Mexico. Established in 1982, the ranch is located ten minutes from downtown Ruidoso for shopping, entertainment, restaurants, and more. The meticulously cared for property is tucked among the ponderosa pines, offering a variety of wedding locations, including a serene mountain meadow, a charming hilltop chapel, and the rustic Old West Opera House. Old west inspired buildings and a beautiful outdoor landscape make the Flying J Ranch a beautiful and completely unique backdrop for your special day. FACILITIES AND CAPACITY The Flying J Ranch offers a range of indoor and outdoor venues. Our beautiful, rustic buildings are available as well as well-maintained lawn areas surrounded by trees, gardens and walking paths. The Hilltop Chapel and Meadow are beautiful options for your ceremony. For your reception, the Old West Opera House is decorated in the spirit of the old west and makes an unforgettable space for virtually any size wedding, up to 600 guests. We are open year-round, and offer a number of distinct packages for weddings and special events of all sizes. WHAT WE OFFER We can host your rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, engagement party, shower or any other special event. We offer all-inclusive packages, catering services, event planning, lighting, sound, outside vendors, chairs, china, flatware, tables and set up. Our team works with you to arrange all your custom details for your venue, menus and more. We can connect you with trusted local vendors, and help you with both wedding planning and day-of coordination.

Emily and her team at Flying J are incredible. They put so much love and care into the property. They allowed us creative freedom and worked with us to host the perfect outdoor wedding. Food was super good! Grounds are well kept and beautiful. Booking this venue was the best decision we made for our wedding day!

The Flying J Ranch could not have been more perfect for my wedding. It is located in the mountains just outside of Ruidoso. You can decorate in several different styles like western or rustic, or you can make it look less country if that's not your style. They have ample parking for bigger weddings, and even cater your reception with their famous barbeque chicken and brisket. The owners are very helpful and accommodating, and can give you tips and ideas from past weddings as well. There are several different places to hold the ceremony on the property, as well as the reception. If I could do it all over again I would still choose the Flying J Ranch for my wedding ceremony and reception. The property is beautiful and needs minimum decorations.
