Located just minutes above Colorado Springs, the Flying W Ranch is a secluded, bucolic, family owned working cattle ranch with indescribable beauty and unparalleled state-of-the art-facilities. The Ranch is nestled in the midst of colossal red rock formations, teaming water events and ponds, and a plethora of Ranch animals including the endangered American Milking Devon oxen. The working cattle ranch, since 1947, is a popular destination for visitors from all over the world. There are a variety of stunning outdoor venues as well as beautiful winter facilities. The Mountain Stream Lodge, a 6-million-dollar facility, sits in the heart of the Ranch and showcases rolling floor-to-ceiling glass walls, radiant floor heating, real wood-burning fireplaces and the largest LED wall in Colorado Springs. From sweeping halls that seat 800 to intimate event spaces that host 40, the Flying Ranch is a wonderful sanctuary that will be remembered for a life-time. The Flying W Ranch offers comprehensive packages as well as specific amenities. In addition, unique features such as a horse and carriage rides, a narrow gage train, rodeos, axe throwing, etc. can be incorporated into events. Very sad to leave this review as this place is very beautiful. We had an appointment with LeighAnn and to start she was an hour late to our meeting no call, no answer to the call I made, staff calls or response to text messages, voicemail was also full. She stated she was sorry however she was very uninterested in helping us from the start. She made it very clear they HATE doing weddings because of all the work they need to put into them and the hassle. She repeated that statement more then once. When it came to budget the website lies as they DO NOT want to help if you have a lower budget (under $25k). We asked about pricing as we don’t need everything offered but will pay for it. She told us that’s not how they work and we need to give a price so I threw out a reasonable amount of $25k just to start and she said that will get us the bare minimum at most. She treated my fiancé and I like we weren’t nearly good enough to have a wedding there and made it clear they deal with Denver bronco player weddings of 450+ guest list. I understand some places are pricey but if your website starts as an option of $5k then you should be able to help build a wedding. If that is not a price option you offer then change the website to not offer anything that you aren’t willing to work with so others do not waste time and travel over 2+ hours to meet with you.

This venue gave us the remote feeling we wanted, while being only minutes from any major hotel. We were searching for a venue that allowed us to pay homage to our western roots, while was able to still hold the class for a black tie event which is exactly what the Flying W gave us. Their staff was remarkable, and was able to serve 400 steaks to all our guests perfectly and efficiently. The amount of feedback I received from our guests on how beautiful the venue was, and how remarkable the staff was was more than i can count. We were able to bring in our own band, and the flexibility the Flying W had with all of that made it easy to do. The venue itself is so beautiful, there is practically no need to decorate. Truly a wonderful experience. Thank you Leigh Ann and the entire Flying W crew!

Absolutely gorgeous venue, grounds, and amenities. Leigh Ann, as well as every single staff member, went above and beyond to make our day an amazing experience - to include a staff flash mob to join us for a line dance and a mini-show by the Flying W Wranglers! We started planning only four months prior to the wedding, and made several changes in the timeline, order of events, extra amenities, and details. They were fantastic and very accommodating. Leigh Ann was extraordinarily patient, kind, and offered great suggestions to make the day go smoothly. We received so many wonderful compliments on the food and bar services. It was absolutely delicious! We planned on having an outdoor ceremony in their Red Mountain Valley area but it was pouring rain on our wedding day. Leigh Ann made preparations and reservations for the outdoor ceremony, and coordinated a seamless transition into the indoor space. It could have been a disaster but because of their hard work, it ended up being such a beautiful Plan B. No one would have guessed that we literally changed the entire venue, bar, and everything hours before the ceremony. The only con we experienced was the weather. We knew planning an outdoor ceremony in Colorado in the spring was crazy and took a gamble. Our guests had such a fantastic time that I don't think they even were aware that there would have been more things to see and do if it wasn't freezing cold and pouring rain. Thanks so much for making our cowboy wedding an amazing experience for everyone!

I had my Wedding Rehearsal Dinner here. I am actually at a loss of words to express my gratitude to Leigh Ann and Ruth. We felt like family. The grounds are absolutely magical and having the entire place to ourselves was instrumental in creating a feeling of being miles away from civilization and we never wanted to leave. Literally my entire wedding party of 37 people agreed that it was the one of most unique experiences they had ever had. A very high compliment and exactly what a Bride & Groom want to hear.The Venue, the Food and the People. We all highly recommend Flying W Ranch.
