Forest Lodge is a wedding venue located in Warren, New Jersey that is nestled on 50 acres in the Watchung Mountains. The venue has been family-owned and operated since 1984 and offers a romantic experience for all weddings from start to finish. We now offer two beautiful newly renovated buildings to host your dream wedding: The Sherwood Chalet our indoor banquet hall includes French doors leading to our renovated deck & patio as well as courtyard & gazebo. The Maple Grove is our brand new outdoor rustic pavilion, engulfed in a majestic landscape complimented by fresh wood fencing, warm lighting and a fire pit this gives you a wonderful open-air option that gears towards our larger party bookings. Facilities and Capacity The Sherwood Chalet The elegant ballroom at The Sherwood Chalet creates the perfect ambience for an exclusive reception, featuring adorned crystal chandeliers and a beautiful neutral color palette that will complement any style. The Forest Lodge has a polished gazebo that is surrounded by a rustic landscaped setting, creating the perfect backdrop for an outdoor ceremony. After the ceremony your guests will be guided into the new stone deck and patio, an exquisite spot surrounded by wrought iron fencing that is ideal for a cocktail hour and full bar. Accommodates up to 180 guests. The Maple Grove Our wonderfully converted pavilion serves as a beautiful open-air rustic, chic option perfect for the majestic wedding of your dreams. My husband and I got married 9/16/23 at The Maple Grove and had the most amazing day! The entire wedding planning process was phenomenal and stress free with forest lodge. From our first meeting with Anthony, everything was made easy and we were taken care of every step of the way! Every single question was answered along the way. They truly have everything down to a science and truly go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect and organized. Charlotte, our bridal attendant, was AMAZING!! She anticipated our every need and was always there. Forest Lodge truly has the most amazing team who obviously love what they do. We still have guests telling us how much they loved the food and how much fun they had. We cannot recommend them enough, 10000/10!

From the word GO Anthony opened with 'anything you want or need at any point, ask me and we will figure it out together', and it was absolutely true. He and his team were extremely accommodating and ready to jump in on anything that needed doing. Not only that but the venue (Maple Grove, the outdoor reception area) was stunning. Anthony's team went above and beyond in bringing our vision to life. Extremely professional and detail-oriented, polite and open with what we could add to our reception, the evening was enjoyed by all and considered to be the 'most fun anyone's had at a wedding'. We're looking for any excuse to go back and see everyone again!

Forest Lodge really went above and beyond to make our day truly special. Anthony was always available throughout the when planning process to answer any questions and was there on the day of to help things run smoothly. Charlotte was the best wedding attendant. Always making sure I had what I needed and was enjoying myself. We wanted an outdoor wedding bit had trouble finding a venue that wasn't DIY. Forest Lodge checked all the boxes for us. We had an incredible experience for our Wedding Reception and Fall Equinox Party at Forest Lodge, and we would highly recommend it for a party or wedding. The staff was so wonderful through whole experience from start to finish. All of our guests told us the food was great (we as hosts didn't get to enjoy it, until the next day, after they gave us all the left over food). Awesome.

We got married on 9.9.23 and while I am still waiting on a few more photos and highlights from the wedding, I wanted to give a really big shoutout to Forest Lodge. Everything is still a blur but ill start here - We looked at 3 venues in our wedding search and everything just did not fit the vibe of who me and my husband are and then we met Anthony and saw the Sherwood Chalet and saw the grounds of the Forest Lodge and our decision was made. With the help of everyone at the venue and vendors, my wedding was transformed into something I did not even picture it would be. The wedding planning process was so seamless and Anthony works with you to help fine tune everything to exactly what you need. He was also so good with my questions, responding immediately, and really allowing it to be my day at their venue, he honestly is just a really cool guy and is just as excited as you for the wedding. It really was an ok what do you want and we will make it happen - down to my barefoot crisp whites and no cilantro ha! Day of the wedding, my bridal attendant Charlotte was an angel and every time I turned around she was there fixing my dress, holding my phone, giving me food, a drink, grabbing my jacket and even sewed my bustle when someone accidently stepped on it and ripped, with us laughing in the bathroom the whole time and me not even caring because I was too happy. She made me feel beyond comfortable , so catered too in a way I have never felt before and even assisted my aunt who was not feeling well, bring her to the bridal suite and giving her food. Also, she drives the golf cart like a pro. Now to the food, I mean, it was just delicious. Everyone would not stop raving about the food, cocktail hour action stations (shout out Asian Stir Fry) and the cake! For our cocktail hour we had cornhole which was really fun and everyone enjoyed being outside even with the little rain we had. At the last hour we had smores which I unfortunately missed but heard from everyone there were all different types of chocolate for the smores and were delicious! Everyone also got a stadium pretzel and water on the way out. I am truly happy with deciding to have our wedding at the Sherwood Chalet and could not picture it any other way. Thank you to Anthony, Charlotte and Joe :)

I had my wedding at the Forest lodge in their Maple Grove outdoor area for my 200+ guests. It was the perfect combination of fairytale forest with laid back yet classy vibes! Joe and Anthony were both so responsive and accommodating throughout our planning and Joe did such a phenomenal job the day of. Corey and I appreciated everything Joe and the team of bridal attendants did that day, especially when I was feeling a little anxious about the weather. Spoiler alert: it turned out to be gorgeous by ceremony time! When our shuttle was running late from the hotel, Joe assured me that even if we had to start a little late, the wedding will not be cut short. I was so relieved! I will be forever grateful for the Forest Lodge staff for making it the best day of our lives!

Anthony and Sean answered all my questions throughout the planning process and made sure that everything was going to be perfect on the day of the wedding, and it truly was perfect. Kelly and Joe made sure everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding. They always reassured me of what was going to happen next and made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole event. Julia was my bridal attendant and she couldn't have been more amazing. She continuously checked up on me, making sure that I was drinking water and had something to eat. They set up all of my decorations and they made my vision come to life. They took down the decorations as well and packed them up, so all I had to do was pick them up. So easy! On the day of the wedding they were so organized and everything flowed so beautifully. Everyone I talked to raved about how amazing the staff was, how great the food tasted, and how beautiful the venue was. The Forest Lodge and the staff there will always hold a special place in my heart because they made my dreams come true.

My husband and I fell in love with Forest Lodge at first sight. We had our outside wedding at the Maple Shade at Forest Lodge. They were also able to customize the dishes to our cultures(Haitian and Chinese). Anthony and Sean helped us envision our big day . Our big big day couldnât have happened without the staffs at Forest Lodge especially Anthony, Sean and Charlotte. They were so attentive to everything throughout the evening. All the guests loved the food and the beautiful venue.

5 stars isn't enough of a rating for this place. The whole team goes above and beyond for everything. Anthony, Joe, and Sean are the masterminds behind an amazing team that quite literally handles every aspect of a fantastic day. From the minute I drove up on the property, every need was taken care of. The main attendant, Charlotte, made sure we all had constant drinks, food, and anything else! There's nowhere else you need to go.

I canât thank the team at Forest Lodge enough for helping us put on the best wedding ever. (The guests said it, not just me.) We had our whole wedding out in The Maple Grove which is so naturally beautiful and was the perfect backdrop to our big day. Every single person we interacted with at Forest Lodge is a true professional that loves what they do. Big thank you to the entire staff! Everyone was so adaptable and helped create the day of my dreams. The biggest thank youâs go to Anthony, Sean, and Charlotte. From the beginning, Anthony left the metaphorical door open to as many questions as I could come up with. He was so responsive and helped us reschedule our wedding in a single evening when we had to change dates just months before the original date. Sean was the same, jumping in during the month leading up to our big day and helping us finalize all of the details that made our day absolutely seamless. Day of, Charlotte was our bridal assistant. She was AMAZING. She was my advocate during pictures, helped the men find all the things they kept misplacing, and kept the drinks coming all night long. Also, it was pouring rain most of the evening and she had a huge smile on her face while getting drenched escorting guests into golf carts, holding umbrellas, and generally making sure that we were all happy. The food at Forest Lodge was amazing, from the tasting to the day itself. Our guests were so impressed by the dishes and presentation. I wish Iâd had time to eat more of it! Anthony and Sean worked with us on including everything we wanted within the package we chose. Also, a short note on Sweet Passions, Forest Lodgeâs partner for wedding cakes and desserts: the mini cupcake tree was nothing short of a masterpiece! Everything tasted incredible.

From the first time we saw the venue (in the dead of winter) we knew how gorgeous it would be in the fall. Our first meeting with Anthony was wonderful and he made our choice to book easy. Throughout the planning, Anthony and his team were there for us when we had questions and made things so easy. They thought of all the things I might not have thought of. When our wedding day finally came, I was calm and I knew we were in great hands! We canât thank Forest Lodge enough for helping to make our wedding day so perfect! The team at Forest Lodge truly is the perfect balance of warmth and professionalism. Sean was such a calming influence throughout the planning and Daniella and Desiree were also a pleasure to work with. Desiree seriously made me feel like a movie star or something all day long!! Anything I needed, âGirl, I got you.â Today is our one month anniversary and guests are still talking about the food and how delicious everything was. Also, the servers were beyond attentive. If I had it to do over, the only change I would make would be I would ask if I could give personalized âto goâ containers as favors because by the time dinner came, most of our guests were too full to eat. Everyone that attended our wedding can agree that The Forest Lodge (at the âSherwood Chaletâ ) was nothing but absolute perfection! The bridal attendants, Danielle and Desiree, waited on our hands and feet (especially me!). They followed me everywhere I went in case I needed anything, making sure I was fed and hydrated, not to mention they were so fun to hang out with! EVERYTHING from the venue, bar, food and staff was over the top great! We needed to downsize our wedding, so we were looking for a venue that would be a bit more intimate. Thankfully we stumbled upon Forest Lodge! We hosted our wedding at the Sherwood Chalet and it was absolutely beautiful! Anthony, Sean, and their team were absolutely phenomenal! They really did cater to our requests, even with finding fig vodka for our signature drink! They definitely went above and beyond. They were on top of their stuff, quick respond time and giving great suggestions, theyâre absolute pros! The food was delicious and the drinks were awesome. We needed to downsize our wedding, so we were looking for a venue that would be a bit more intimate. Thankfully we stumbled upon Forest Lodge! We hosted our wedding at the Sherwood Chalet and it was absolutely beautiful! Anthony, Sean, and their team were absolutely phenomenal! They really did cater to our requests, even with finding fig vodka for our signature drink! They definitely went above and beyond. They were on top of their stuff, quick respond time and giving great suggestions, theyâre absolute pros! The food was delicious and the drinks were awesome. We would choose Forest Lodge in a heartbeat if we were to do it all over again. Thank you all for all your hard work, you all were amazing!

I can't say enough about Forest Lodge and its staff. Our guests thought we put way more effort into coordinating our wedding than we really did- it was all their team's attention to detail. The buffet, bar, and games on the lawn were all set up perfectly and the food was amazing. At the end of the night, my husband and I realized that someone had decorated our Jeep and I was so excited and wanted to show our guests, but I realized they had all left. The staff was exceptional, caring and professional beyond any expectations. Kathy and Brunelly (along with the entire staff) made this day perfect. My daughter had a smile from ear to ear all day and all night. Kathy is so on point, never missed a beat and kept everything on time. Her calm demeanor when ever discussing what was going to happen and assurance everything will go smooth was amazing. Every request by My Daughter and Son in Law had was met. Brunelly was such an important part of the day to me! As the father of the bride (my first child to be wed) and super softy, she knew exactly how to treat me at the right times. Assurances, silly jokes or just a simple smile to ease my anxiety. Throughout the night she made sure I had a full dish, drink in hand and an extra treat at dessert. Our original venue ended up closing business completely due to the pandemic when we were 6 months out. I am so happy we ended up at Forest lodge instead. Anthony made sure that we were able to keep our same wedding date and went above and beyond to accommodate our every wish. He made us feel that Forest Lodge was not even close to a second choice or a back up plan, but the place we were meant to be married at all along. I wish I had found Forest Lodge in my first round of venue searches. Anthony and Sean will go above and beyond to make sure your day is personalized and exactly how you dreamed of. Anthony and Sean, thank you so much for easing our stresses throughout the whole planning process!! People say that your wedding day goes by so fast that you donât even have time to eat or enjoy being with your new spouse. That is not the case for us because of the dedication of the maitre d and attendants. Thank you to Madison, Kathy, Brunelly, and Francia for helping our day be spectacular. They made sure we had a plate of every food item from the cocktail hour and made sure we took some time to eat it together while guests were enjoying outside. They even packed up some to go boxes of our favorite dishes and extra entrees. Our drink glasses were never empty because they constantly got refills for me, my groom, and my parents too. It was like magic because I never once saw this occur, every time I was close to the last few sips, I would turn around and thereâd be another one at my table! Kathy, Madison, Brunelly, Francia, we cannot thank you enough. You each helped make our special day even more than we dreamed it could be. I just want to add in that my husband and I were working with a tight budget. We did not have a wedding planner or a day of coordinator, and all of the florals and decor were DIY. Anthony was so accommodating and showed us their multiple meal packages and let us customize the perfect experience that was in our budget. He arranged the timeline, floor plan, and everything in between. Kathy made sure everything and everyone was where they needed to be the day of, not a single detail was missed. I am endlessly thankful for their dedication and professionalism. TLDRI cannot say enough good things about Forest Lodge and the amazing team of people they have. I promise you this will be the easiest and best decision youâll make in your wedding planning process!!

I tend not to give reviews unless the service or product is beyond terrible or absolutely stellar. Fortunately for me, itâs the latter. My wife and I had such an amazing experience at the Forest Lodge. I know you are supposed to be pampered and taken care of for your wedding, but my wife and I seriously felt like royalty. Under Anthony Pancheryâs leadership everything fell into place\tquite impressively, from the ceremony and cocktail hour to the dessert and everything in between. The army of servers that came out to serve our guests were an incredible bunch. Not sure where Anthony got them from but they were all very respectful and obviously hard working. My wife was even assigned a dedicated bridal attendant, Jimena, who was no doubt an asset to the evening. My family and friends had nothing but compliments for how everything flowed. I was so blessed with how many people come up to me to say how this was the best wedding theyâve attended in quite some time. From how beautiful the outside venue was, to how everything seemed to flow so smoothly. Even my DJ said how impressed he was with how he and the other vendors were treated. I had nothing to do with how my wife found this place for our wedding, but Iâm so glad she did. I was also very pleased with how flexible Anthony and the Forest Lodge were with scheduling (and re-scheduling) when we had to cancel TWICE last year due to various Covid related issues. Itâs probably no sweat off their back because itâs something they do for a living, but I hope they will one day realize how much of a blessing they made our wedding experience. Anthony and his people brought together our months of planning and stress (stressful mostly for me) and made a wonderful masterpiece out of it. Other than this review, I cannot thank you guys enough for giving us the experience we had.

Matthew and I got married on November 21st. We originally had an indoor wedding booked but obviously with the pandemic, this was not feasible. I contacted Linda at The Sherwood Chalet/Forest Lodge and Matthew and I went to see her that weekend. Needless to say, COVID has turned everyone's world upside down; so we had to work it out! I was super concerned with going through with our fall ceremony due to the weather and COVID cases rising, so I wanted to work something out so our plans weren't a total bust! Linda to the rescue! Linda was so awesome, and was super helpful (and honest) about everything I did (or didn't) need for my day. As if the scenery and vibes of this awesome outdoor venue weren't enough, the staff there was next level. Linda ALWAYS made sure I had what I needed. Whether it be some salmon or a stiff drink; she also made sure the kids at my party were taken care of too. Mia, the bartender, my god. She had your drink ready before you even got within five feet of her. Everyone loved her. I got compliments all night about the servers and staff there. They truly made the night special, and could not have been more thrilled to have my party there.

I was super concerned with going through with our fall ceremony due to the weather and COVID cases rising, so I wanted to work something out so our plans weren't a total bust! Linda to the rescue! Linda was so awesome, and was super helpful (and honest) about everything I did (or didn't) need for my day. As if the scenery and vibes of this awesome outdoor venue weren't enough, the staff there was next level. Linda ALWAYS made sure I had what I needed. Whether it be some salmon or a stiff drink; she also made sure the kids at my party were taken care of too. Mia, the bartender, my god. She had your drink ready before you even got within five feet of her. Everyone loved her. I got compliments all night about the servers and staff there. They truly made the night special, and could not have been more thrilled to have my party there.

After Covid threw a wrench in our destination wedding, we were fortunate enough to find Forest Lodge. We had our wedding this past weekend outdoors at their Sherwood Chalet. Linda & Anthony helped pull together the most amazing wedding in just one month. The space itself is gorgeous, and they allowed us to customize it however we wanted, keeping it intimate and fun. The food & drinks were delicious. Linda, thank you so much for going above and beyond to accommodate us on such short notice, and keeping me calm along the way. Having you there for our wedding was a treat, you went above and beyond. Anthony, you made our wedding such incredible by reading our minds all night long, making sure we were never in need of anything, and going the extra mile to accommodate our nephews and niece. The whole family loves Anthony!! You kept the night flowing perfectly without me having to think about a thing.

Forest Lodge is AMAZING. The grounds are so beautiful, but still donât compare to their amazing team. They have been so flexible in rescheduling our larger wedding due to Covid, and planning a smaller celebration on our wedding date that went so perfectly. Their food is delicious and their prices are so fair. Can not recommend them enough! We canât wait for our larger wedding in 2021.

We cannot say enough great things about how excellent the venue manager, Scott, and his staff were for us on our wedding day. Scott and his team covered every single detail and delivered exceptional service to us and our guests. From the very beginning, Scott was so friendly, accommodating, thoughtful, professional, and thorough. He worked with us every single step of the way and made sure he and his team did anything and everything they could to make sure we were happy. The day of the wedding, Scott, his team partner Abby, and his staff were absolutely phenomenal - they were so attentive to us and our guests. They were there the whole day from start to finish and catered to every need... I haven't even mentioned the venue yet! Stunning. beautiful. Simply amazing... it's humble, yet elegant and truly beautiful. It's not overly ornate or over-the-top. The best way to describe it is, it feels like home. Our guests felt welcome from the second they walked into the back area for the ceremony and they would not stop raving about how wonderful the staff's service was... and the food! the food - so, so good! Everything was delicious, and Scott went out of his way to make sure that dinner was served according to our timeline even though it presented tough timing for his team to deliver... but they did deliver! big time. Guest after guest the night of were coming up to us and saying how good the food and service was, and today a few weeks later they're still reaching out and telling us about it! The night of, they made sure my husband and I were well fed and that we had a chance to taste everything they served from the appetizers all the way through to the desserts. We can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else - we will remember how amazing it was for the rest of our lives! Thank you, Scott, Abby, and the whole Forest Lodge team! You made our day perfect. Forest Lodge is truly a hidden gem for your wedding! We were looking for a venue that would not break the bank, but would still feel elegant and unique. Forest lodge met this criteria and provided way more than we ever imagined. The guests enjoyed the greenery, as well as taking pictures by the fire pit and gazebo. The guests also talked highly of the food and cake. Scott, the coordinator, was great from the beginning by working with our requests and always responding quickly to emails and phone calls. The servers and staff members on the night of the wedding were WONDERFUL! My guests are still talking about Tom, who was going around to every single table asking guests what they needed. Tom also ran around to help my husband and I with any of our needs and even helped me bustle my dress! Tom made sure my husband and I received a plate of the hors d'oeuvres in the bridal suite. The night ended with about 80 people doing a sparkler send off. I was nervous that we would pull this off, but somehow the Forest Lodge staff made this happen within minutes and without any issues!Many of our guests have informed us that this was the best wedding they had been to! My husband and I are so happy with our decision to choose the Sherwood Chalet at Forest Lodge for our wedding ceremony and reception. This venue is not only beautiful but budget friendly. From our very first visit to the big day, the team was extremely friendly, professional, organized and accommodating to all of our wants and needs.They ensured that the set up and timing of the event runs smoothly. Scott and his team made sure that everything was taken care of. On the day they liaised with everyone to create an outdoor and indoor space that we, our family and friends could enjoy. Unfortunately, it rained and we were unable to use the outside but Scott made sure that inside worked for both ceremony and reception. I was very disappointed with the rain but the team ensured they did everything to reorganize the reception area to do both ceremony and the reception. The waiting staff were absolutely exceptional making sure that guests with dietary requirements were taken care of personally. We felt so comfortable in such a gorgeous space. The food was exceptional, they even allowed me to get Jamaican/ Indian cuisine from other vendors. That was a plus for us! It was great knowing that whilst we were having our photos done, that our guests were taken care of with appetizers and drinks before the reception began. Our family and friends loved our personalized menu. One thing I wanted to make sure of is that our family and friends had plenty to eat and drink and this was achieved with their amazing service. We were very impressed by Scott with the little details, my husband and i were so busy and he realized we didnât eat along with the other guest and he ensured our meals were placed on a warmer and as we were seated he brought us back our meals hot. The venue itself is absolutely spectacular with every space having amazing opportunities for photographs. It was just so easy having our ceremony and reception all in the one place. Special thanks to Scott and his team who put all of my concerns at ease. He made sure we were taken care of at each moment and ensured that we enjoyed every second of our night.Even as issues arrived he came to us very calm with various solutions to our liking. Scott did an exceptional work to meet all of our needs and we canât thank him enough for helping us to create our dream wedding.

We searched many venues before coming here. From initial planning through our wedding day, the team at The Sherwood Chalet were nothing but professional. We worked with Matt, who partnered closely with us to design the room layout, personalize our buffet menu and relieve us of any stress. On the day of our wedding he surprised us with the craft beer we wanted served, much to the delight of our friends.We highly recommend this venue if you are looking for a place more intimate for up to about 120 people and are trying to avoid the impersonal wedding factories.
