Your love isn't ordinary, so why should your wedding be? Located along the Missouri River and Katy Trail in Historic Downtown Saint Charles, the Foundry Art Centre is a unique event space for special events. The beautifully redesigned interior of the Foundry, where railroad cars were once produced, is a beautiful, spacious, picturesque backdrop to fit any occasion. The Grand Hall can accommodate up to 400 seated and 300 with a large-sized dance floor. With complimentary wedding pre-planning, free design assistance, and custom floor plans plus everything else that is included, the price is a real steal! Check out what's included. *7 hours of setup time! WOW! Venue access for event set up between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM the day of the event. --If we don't have an event the night before, we invite you to set up early! *5 hours of event time, 1 hour of clean up/load-out time. *Assortment of tables: 66" rounds (guest tables), 8ft, 6ft, tall/short cocktail tables. --Linens are not included but can be provided by the venue/caterer/client. *Up to 400 white padded chairs. --FAC staff will set up and remove the tables & chairs. *Two pre-wedding planning meetings with custom floor plans (PDF). Let our experienced wedding planners help you! *Assistance with design and decor coordination free of charge. Beautiful venue and an amazing staff! Paige and her team did a great job making sure our day was special and ran smoothly. Paige is so personable, organized, and easy to work with! The venue is spacious and great for a small wedding ceremony and reception. We cannot thank Paige and her team enough for an awesome wedding day! This venue let us do SO much. I created beaded curtains and let me hang them from the second floor. They let me set up a whole Pagoda (and helped me move it for the reception). They let me through my bouquet off the balcony. They opened the Gallery for my wedding as well, all my guests told us that our wedding was the most memorable wedding they had been to because of the gallery! It has amazing photo areas (inside and out- including a literal train caboose)! Paige was our wedding coordinator and she is so unbelievably wonderful. Clear communication, great tips and guidance, and can make anything g happen!Aside from the event itself, the city of St Charles owns this, so you are supporting a community and culture center! The venue is also the crown jewel of historic St Charles Main Street & the Katy Trail, so your guests have endless opportunities to entertain themselves if the gallery is not doing it for them.

I am SO happy that we booked our wedding reception at the Foundry! I cannot picture our wedding day anywhere else. Paige, Mark, and the rest of their team are the BEST! Paige was one of the best vendors to work with throughout the wedding planning process. She is very communicative, organized, and will make sure you are taken care of! She truly cared that our event went smoothly and was perfect for us. She checked in multiple times throughout the planning process to see if there was anything we needed. Our parents came to one of our planning meetings with us, and she took the time to give them a tour and explain the logistics of our reception to them - they were so impressed! Everything was set up how we discussed it with her, and it was set up on time. The layout was perfect for our 220 guests. The bar staff and other Foundry staff that were there the night of our reception were very friendly to all of our guests and very efficient. We had so many of our guests tell us how nice the bar staff were! Mark was very helpful at the end of the night when we were cleaning up. The inside of the Foundry is stunning! The galleries are open during our cocktail hour for the guests to view, and the mezzanine was a neat thing as well. There are multiple spots immediately outside of the Foundry for photos, which was a nice plus. We loved that the venue is so close to Main Street, which gave our guests something to do before the reception started. The large parking lot was reserved for our guests, and we had no concerns with safety or security. I will be recommending the Foundry to all of my friends and family for their next event/wedding!

Loved this venue!! So beautiful, it was a blank canvas for me to do whatever I wanted for my decor. Paige was amazing to work with. She helped make the process so smooth. She was unable to be there the day of my wedding, but I know if she would have been there the minor issue (tried to close the bar early) we had wouldn't have occurred. They did not provide linens, which could be something that could be nice in the future. Overall, I would highly recommend this venue!

The Foundry Art Centre is a fabulous wedding reception space for a large group! We had around 246 guests, and Paige helped us design a custom layout that fit our wants and needs. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Paige and the Foundry Art Centre, from day one of planning until our big day they made us feel so important and perfectly executed the day. We had access to the venue as early as the night before (so long as their is no event that night) and all day on Saturday . Their stage is perfect for a live wedding band, that was a huge plus for us. The entire venue was picturesque and perfectly captured our vision. The ultimate canvas for any couple. We took photos in the gallery which was amazing, and it was open for our guests to view. The mezzanine and hall provided a space with multiple outlets for those who enjoy dancing, mingling, drinking, and people watching! The best wedding ever. They have an abundance of preferred vendors that they work with, and their bar staff was top notch! The catering if you do a buffet is in a separate room so no need to have a transition space. We even had a second bar set up by the dance floor. I cannot recommend this venue enough! I found this venue through the knot. And I’m so happy I did!

I love the Foundry Art Centre and its history. I spent some time there with art classes and really enjoyed spending time there. So I wanted it for our wedding reception! Twice we had to postpone the date due to Covid. On our third try, it was a go! The guests were amazed at the Foundry as what they stated was elegant. The Foundry staff worked well with us each time we had to postpone our reception. Rachel, who coordinates events there...was of tremendous help and worked so well with us.

Just go visit the Foundry and you will fall in love with the space! Melanie was great to work with and so flexible during this pandemic. The space is huge but our wedding was only 60 people. You could not tell! The way the space was used was so perfect. We had the ceremony and reception all in 1 and I highly suggest it, our guests loved the experience.

We had our wedding at The Foundry Art Centre on Saturday 7/25. Let me just start by saying Melanie is absolutely AMAZING!! She was so easy to work with and was available to answer any and all questions I had. As a COVID bride dealing with restrictions changing daily, Melanie always made sure to touch base and update me with the latest information. I couldn't thank her enough for making our special day ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! The Foundry is a perfect venue for any event and the space can be transformed into anything you imagine. I am so happy with how everything turned out, it was absolutely beautiful and will be a day we will never forget. Thank you to Melanie and The Foundry team for making our special day so PERFECT.

My husband and I had both our ceremony and reception here, in the same hall and it was SUPERB. We are both artists - but different types - and so we handmade all our decorations and the Foundry was a perfect set up for it all. The cost was the best we found - especially for what they included (chairs and tables and set up of it.) This location can hold up to 400 but we had 120 and it was still great. It didn’t look empty at all. And with my claustrophobia, it was perfect. Melanie was our point of contact and she was INCREDIBLE from start to finish!

Melanie was helpful and answered any questions we had throughout the process plus we were able to execute our wedding vision with their open concept location. We loved the simple decorations that were done to the space and that we could add our own unique touches. Also, we had a 200 person wedding and we didn't feel like we were on top of each other during the evening. I would recommend this space again and again.

We booked the Foundry early in our wedding planning and were enamored with it. We loved the art, the visible studio spaces, and the blank slate to plan our ceremony and reception however we chose. We knew we wanted to have the ceremony and reception together, and the Foundry was perfect. We loved the location at the end of Main Street in St. Charles and knew that this was the place for us. However, shortly after we toured the facility, the venue had a change in event coordinators, and she was disappointing at every turn between booking and the day of our wedding. I can't think of one positive thing to say about her. She was horrible at communication - we never heard a word from her unless money was due or we called to ask a question. Eighty percent of the time she didn't know the answer to our questions anyway. We were extremely upset to find out that we wouldn't be able to have a rehearsal at the venue, because she booked other events the four nights leading up to our wedding, and we were never informed that we needed to schedule this separately. Her solution was to see if someone else would be willing to let us share the space with their event the Wednesday before our wedding, which was useless since most of my wedding party didn't get to town until Friday morning. We were also GUARANTEED in our contract to have the additional Ameristar Gallery space, and when we went in a month before the wedding to look at the space again and finalize our layout, she told us that we might not get to use it. It's like she never bothered to read the contract that she signed with us. She never contacted us at any point about the set up of the space either, and I spent the day before my wedding having to coordinate it all with her by email (she claimed she had no contact info for me and had to get my email from my mom). By the wedding I had given up any hope of her being useful. The one thing she was left with the task of doing was to prop the back door open for the wedding party to enter after photographs - and of course, we found it locked. When we arrived, she mumbled some excuse about someone else closing the door, and then she was nowhere to be found for the remainder of the night. \r\rAll I can say is thank goodness the rest of my vendors were phenomenal and kept everything running smoothly, because the Foundry coordinator was completely useless. In the end, the wedding went smoothly and was beautiful (no matter how horrible the coordinator, the space is phenomenal). \r\rIf you're looking for a beautiful location for wedding and ceremony, you've found it. But in the end, I was extremely disappointed that we'd paid so much for such terrible quality service. If you book here, you should strongly consider hiring a wedding coordinator or have absolutely fantastic caterers, photographers, and dj/band (fortunately, I had all of that).

We booked the Foundry early in our wedding planning and were enamored with it. We loved the art, the visible studio spaces, and the blank slate to plan our ceremony and reception however we chose. We knew we wanted to have the ceremony and reception together, and the Foundry was perfect. We loved the location at the end of Main Street in St. Charles and knew that this was the place for us. However, shortly after we toured the facility, the venue had a change in event coordinators, and she was disappointing at every turn between booking and the day of our wedding. I can't think of one positive thing to say about her. She was horrible at communication - we never heard a word from her unless money was due or we called to ask a question. Eighty percent of the time she didn't know the answer to our questions anyway. We were extremely upset to find out that we wouldn't be able to have a rehearsal at the venue, because she booked other events the four nights leading up to our wedding, and we were never informed that we needed to schedule this separately. Her solution was to see if someone else would be willing to let us share the space with their event the Wednesday before our wedding, which was useless since most of my wedding party didn't get to town until Friday morning. We were also GUARANTEED in our contract to have the additional Ameristar Gallery space, and when we went in a month before the wedding to look at the space again and finalize our layout, she told us that we might not get to use it. It's like she never bothered to read the contract that she signed with us. She never contacted us at any point about the set up of the space either, and I spent the day before my wedding having to coordinate it all with her by email (she claimed she had no contact info for me and had to get my email from my mom). By the wedding I had given up any hope of her being useful. The one thing she was left with the task of doing was to prop the back door open for the wedding party to enter after photographs - and of course, we found it locked. When we arrived, she mumbled some excuse about someone else closing the door, and then she was nowhere to be found for the remainder of the night. \r\rAll I can say is thank goodness the rest of my vendors were phenomenal and kept everything running smoothly, because the Foundry coordinator was completely useless. In the end, the wedding went smoothly and was beautiful (no matter how horrible the coordinator, the space is phenomenal). \r\rIf you're looking for a beautiful location for wedding and ceremony, you've found it. But in the end, I was extremely disappointed that we'd paid so much for such terrible quality service. If you book here, you should strongly consider hiring a wedding coordinator or have absolutely fantastic caterers, photographers, and dj/band (fortunately, I had all of that).

We got SO many compliments on the venue. It is absolutely gorgeous! They have the option of having the wedding and reception there, but we just had our reception. It was spacious and beautiful. They have many different features you can utilize--extra lighting, a piano that plays itself, a projector, a stage, etc.. it holds up to about 400 people. We booked them through a bridal show and recieve 25% off our bill. The only downside is they only have 4 peferred caterers, so if you choose to have an outside caterer, there is a 25% charge added to your bill. Overall, we didn't have to worry about anything--we just gave them the layout we wanted and they did the set up. You will have to provide your own linens, cake, dj, caterer, etc... It was well worth the money, and our guests enjoyed looking at all of the art throughout the night!

The foundry is a beautiful and affordable venue. You get a wonderful reception for not a large price. The staff is helpful and friendly. You are able to find your own caterer to fit your budget.

The Foundry was an absolutely perfect place to have our reception. It was different from the standard ballroom and the space was beautiful. The catch is, they only have 3-4 'preferred' caterers on their list, all of which were out of our price range. We used a non-preferred caterer and even with the $1500 non-preferred caterer's fee and them taking 15% of the total food and bar bill, our caterer was cheaper. This is an absolutely stunning venue, but beware of hidden fees.

I would recommend it, but want other brides to be aware of a few things: (1) they will tell you that the side galleries will be open during your cocktail hour for the guests to walk though. This depends on the artist being displayed in the gallery, and no one bothered to call and let us know that they were not going to allow the guests into it until the week before the wedding. This is something I was excited about, so I was not happy. I was also not thrilled about the lack of notification.
