Fox Barn at Twenty9 Reviews

We loved having our wedding be at Fox Barn at Twenty9! I remember touring the facility and Patty the owner made us feel so comfortable for all of the questions we had. Patty's responsiveness and willingness to make our special day fit this venue and it was exactly the reason why we booked not only the whole facility for the day of the wedding; but, we even stayed overnight at the farmhouse and had her restaurant cater our rehearsal dinner. The logistics of the day of events coordinator seemed a little misguiding in terms of communication but, everything came together once the wedding started. My husband and I are really excited to come back here for date nights in the future to enjoy the downstairs part of the venue and will definitely consider having events here in the future. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants high quality food and drinks at a more reasonable price than other places in the area and it's a great spot for indoor/outdoor option. Jenna Manginelli(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-09-2022 This venue is absolutely stunning and you get so much bang for your buck! Their package includes beautiful chairs, chargers, linens, and so many other small details the venue provided like floating candle vases, etc. We utilized the farmhouse to host our rehearsal the night before and also to get ready in which was so awesome! Patty was kind enough to provide and assist with setting up linens, tables, flatware, etc for our rehearsal even tho we were making our own food and it was in no way something that was included in our package. And then for the wedding we only booked the top floor of the venue for about 100 guests. It was beautiful for our day and the team put in so much care. Literally the owner was serving dinner plates on the wedding day and they accommodated us in so many ways that I’m not sure other vendors would have (example: I had a sick relative back out the week of the wedding and the venue actually reimbursed us)! The food was amazing and my guests raved about the venue! I truly could go on and on! Book them! Reviewed on 13-10-2022
Paulene Niessen(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-08-2022 This is not a run of the mill wedding factory … which is what we wanted! However this place has a lot of kinks to work out to become a well oiled machine. Please take my advice and hire a day of coordinator. You cannot get married here without one. My planner set everything up, helped me during pictures, bustled my dress, brought me dinner, helped with my cake cutting, and packed everything up at the end of the night. The venue does not do these things. If I didn’t have a planner I would have been doing it all myself on my wedding day. The one thing the venue was responsible for they failed to do. While my planner was with me Patti (the owner) and her staff were supposed to walk around cocktail hour and ask my guests to go upstairs at 550pm so everyone could be sitting down by 6pm. She failed to do this. I had to grab the lead singer from the band and ask her to quickly make an announcement. By the time the guests were seated and my husband and I did our entrance/first dance, we were about 30 mins behind schedule. We spoke many times about my timeline (she even sent me an email with the timeline) so I was extremely upset when everything was derailed! Just hire the planner. And read the other negative comments… because I had similar experiences too. But after my guests went downstairs for dancing on the deck everything was fine. Everyone still can’t stop talking about how fun our wedding was! Reviewed on 05-09-2022
Wendy Ferrero(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-05-2022 We discussed specifics on location & set up of photo booth, wedding favors & table numbers & where each guest is seated... This was also provided in typed & detailed directions- none of this was done. The venue & food were what we were looking for. It was our outside vendors & guests that worked endlessly to give us the wedding of our dreams. When I voiced my concerns everything was refuted & no apology was given. As a business owner I expected a simple- sorry you feel that way. We apologize for the miscommunication. A response that shows little concern or accountability is awfully disappointing and surprising to come from a venue owner Reviewed on 21-08-2022
Alyssa Silverman(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-07-2022 The venue is beautiful and perfect for the atmosphere/look of our wedding. The farmhouse was perfect for our rehearsal dinner, getting ready, and hanging out all night. It is huge with plenty of space for the wedding party and a great sound system throughout the whole house for music. It was also a great price for delicious food & a good location. However, Patricia the owner was extremely frustrating to work with. It was like pulling teeth to get answers to any of our emails, and any time we discussed anything in person, she would not write anything down or remember anything we talked about. It was like we had never had the meeting, as she would never follow up with any questions or requests, and it was up to me as the bride to make sure things were getting done & answered properly. She would go radio silent for weeks, seemingly ignoring my emails. It made the wedding planning process WAY more stressful than it already is. It got to the point where we were afraid to ask more questions out of fear that requests we had already made would be incorrect. She took notes on scrap paper one singular time in our final meeting about the menu, even though she had a MacBook she could have been writing notes in every time we met. It is my guess she lost that paper as well, because items on the menu on our event order were incorrect. It took forever for her to correct it, resulting in us having to wait until just days before the wedding to make any payments. We were also lied to about who would be our day-of coordinator. I requested that the same person also be there for our rehearsal so that I could make sure we were on the same page for ceremony plans as well as the flow of the day. Patricia was the one there for our rehearsal, and I verbally confirmed with her that she would be the one with us for our wedding. While I am putting on my wedding dress, she informs me that is actually going to be Tom the manager (who is super nice but he did not know what we had discussed at the rehearsal). As a result, there was much unneeded confusion at the very last minute about the plan.I had also made it very clear that there could be NO nuts in any of the dishes as my sister has a deadly allergy. It was discussed MULTIPLE times and written in bold letters on our event order. There were walnuts in the salad which could have killed her if I had not noticed it. Tom was apologetic and offered to make a special plate for her, but this was very upsetting.I also spent the morning of my wedding cleaning up trash outside from the wedding before ours and helping remove their decorations. It is inexcusable to be told we could decorate in the morning, yet have to clean up someone else's wedding first. We then had to rush to decorate for our own wedding. At the very end of the night, we were informed that we had to remove all of OUR decorations immediately because they would be closed the next day.The chairs for the ceremony were also set up in a very haphazard way and the groomsmen ended up rearranging them themselves. Our linen colors were also incorrect and I folded half of the napkins myself after she got the correct ones. Overall the wedding turned out beautiful and our guests raved about the food, but the whole process could have been A LOT less stressful with better communication. The owner should hire someone else with event/wedding experience as it was obvious to my husband who works in the event planning industry that she did not have the necessary skills. Chelsea Civitella(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-03-2022 I can’t say enough amazing and positive things about our experience at FoxBarn! We had our wedding reception there and stayed at the farmhouse on the property as well. First things first, Patty is the kindest, most genuine person at heart. She stayed in great communication with me throughout the entire planning process and listened to all of my wedding day visions. She made the wedding of my dreams come true and made planning so easy. I can’t recommend working with her enough! My vendors that day can also vouch for how great working with Patty is!We chose to have a cocktail style wedding and rented out the entire venue. Our guests could not stop raving about how awesome the venue was, how great the food was, & how incredible the staff was. It was such an amazing night that people are still texting us about! The newly renovated 6 bedroom farmhouse is absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend renting that out for the whole wedding weekend. It’s so convenient because it’s right on the property and it gave the bridal party a place to hang after pictures. It was also a great way for my bridal party to all spend the night with me so we could wake up together and start hair and makeup! I could go on and on about how positive our experience is..but you see see for yourself and book FoxBarn for your wedding! You will not regret it! Reviewed on 08-04-2022

Guests could not stop raving about the location, the decorations, the outdoor deck and bar, and especially the food; high quality food for a reasonable price! We originally were supposed to get married somewhere else in Philly in 2020, moved it back a whole year and then in February of 2021 found out that our original venue couldn't have us. Within a week we found FoxBarn and we are so glad we did! Patty and team made the whole day so amazing and we actually are super happy we had to switch venues because now I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. My husband and I are really excited to come back here for date nights in the future to enjoy the downstairs part of the venue and will definitely consider having events here in the future. We were able to choose from a 3 item menu and each choice was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately the deck wasn't open when we had our event but I would absolutely go back.
