Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is a wedding venue located in Columbus, OH. This venue offers an array of indoor and outdoor event spaces and is within a short distance of downtown Columbus. Featuring romantic botanical gardens, it is the perfect setting for a tranquil wedding experience. Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens spans an impressive 88 acres. Its crown jewel, the glass-enclosed John F. Wolfe Palm House, features various versatile areas to celebrate. When you marry here, you can enjoy access to the venue’s interior as well as the spacious surrounding terrace. The building has a double grand staircase that serves as a dramatic backdrop for photos and lets couples make an impression with their entrance. Palm trees and other tropical flora will transport guests to a romantic paradise as they celebrate with the happy couple. This space can accommodate 190 guests for a seated dining experience or up to 250 for a cocktail reception. Also available is the Grand Atrium, a modern room decorated with greenery and featuring a glass ceiling. You can also use the rooftop zen garden, an Asian-inspired area with bonsai trees and bamboo. We are so happy with our decision to have our reception at Franklin Park! We got married in a church and had our reception at the Palm House and Wolfe Terrace. We initially had hoped to have cocktail hour inside and dinner outside on the terrace, however it ended up being a little too chilly and windy to be outside. FPC was very accommodating in helping us build out our Plan A and the backup plan we ended up going with. The staff was friendly and easy to work with. So many of my guests commented on how beautiful and unique of a space it was! Dinner started during sunset and it looked absolutely magical inside! My only complaint was that our bar ran out of most garnishes and a few of the mixers a decent amount of time before last call. Not the biggest deal at all, but still a little bit of a bummer when you are paying so much for the event.

We worked with several people throughout the process. All of the staff was wonderful and knowledgeable. We were able to make decisions quickly for most items and take our time for others. We are so pleased with how our wedding turned out and Franklin Park Conservatory is the reason why.

The FPC is definitely one of the prettiest venues in Ohio. It's like getting married in a magical fairy garden. All of my guests raved how it was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever been to and that was largely due to the venue being so unique and not like your typical wedding venue. My husband and I actually had our ceremony up the road at the Statehouse, following with our reception in the Palm House. The Palm House is definitely the most beautiful space of all the ones offered at FPC. Luckily we had great weather so we were also able to have cocktail hour on the John Wolfe Terrace which provided the prettiest backdrop for photos. Overall, my experience with the staff was exceptional. Emily Anderson was my contact from the moment I signed my contract and then a month before your wedding you will get assigned a day-of contact. Mine was Sarah Schafer and she was so amazing to work with! She also responded so thoroughly and quickly to each of my emails and she was always willing to give me her honest opinion about things. The bartenders during my reception were also amazing because they were so fast! We had three different signature cocktails and they were still able to keep the line moving rapidly. While the majority of my experience was top-notch, there are a few things I think people should be aware of when booking. First, if you are getting married in the Palm House, please keep in mind that it is a greenhouse which means, no AC, bugs, some dirt, etc. Luckily our reception started late so the sun was set by the time our guests arrived, but it was still scorching hot in there, even on 9/30. This is NOT a good venue for a summer wedding! Secondly, this is not a good venue if you are on a budget. The initial cost exceeds most wedding venues in the city and things will only get more and more expensive as you add things on. The upside of the venue is that you don't really have to worry about florals or décor because the plants speak for themselves. However, plan to pay an extra $500 for PAPER lanterns that they already own or even bistro lights which cost $1000 for the cheapest package. Nonetheless, money added up the fastest at this venue. Lastly, what added the most stress of all to the wedding day is that you are only allowed to start setting up TWO HOURS before your event start time. Not only is this no time, but you, your fiancé and closest friends and family will likely be unavailable because you're getting ready or getting pictures. Therefore, it's nearly impossible to set up without a wedding planner because your event planner does not set up stuff for you. They will help as they can, but they do not just set everything up for you. This added a great deal of stress to my wedding day. Overall, a beautiful and unique venue and I wouldn't have done a single thing differently!

The only complaint I have with this venue was their lack of communication about a massive event that would be taking place on our wedding day. We found out less than a month before the big day that a very large number of people would be allowed into the venue after hours during our wedding time to wander the grounds freely. A big reason we picked the venue was because we knew it would be a private and peaceful space. Instead, I was stared at on my way from my dressing room to walk down the aisle, during pictures, and even my own ceremony. This venue was a dream! My now-husband and I both love the FPC so when we were looking for a wedding venue it was really no contest. That said, we had no idea how incredible the whole events team was! Allyson (our initial sales coordinator), Emily (our planning coordinator) and Bailey (our month/day-of coordinator) were all so wonderful! They each patiently answered my million questions and were so lovely and professional to work with. Being able to step back and relax and know that the wedding was going to be a breeze was absolutely not something I ever anticipated but that's exactly what happened towards the end. The Palm House was perfect for our late-April daytime wedding, and our guests really loved being able to walk around and explore the beautiful grounds and exhibits. I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone!

Me and my husband chose The Community Garden Campus for our ceremony and the Wells Barn for our reception. Both were incredible and I could not have imagined it any other way. Not only are their venues aesthetically pleasing to the eye, their Wedding Staff is incredible. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Bailey who ensured I had the best day ever. Her support throughout the process was unwavering and so accommodating, especially with me living in a different state. The entire staff throughout the reception night was just amazing, the bartenders were friendly and so much fun, the set up and clean up crews were efficient and so friendly. I cannot imagine having a better day and it was all due to FPC and their dedication to their craft. Choose them and you can guarantee the best wedding day ever!

Take the stress out of your big day! The staff are excellent. They worked together with our caterer and DJ to keep us on schedule yet, we didn't feel like we were pushed along at all. What a gorgeous venue. Reception on the terrace at night was delightful.

Our daughter and her husband's wedding was held at the Community Garden Campus and Wells Barn. Staff were responsive, professional and complete from first contact to post event. Bar staff were great. The garden ceremony set up and facilities were beautiful including gardens and barn, bridal and groom private rooms, restrooms, everything spotlessly clean. Coordination between FPC staff and musicians, DJ, florist and caterer were seamless. We could not possibly be happier with our experience.

You know exactly what you are getting at this venue - it's literally breathtaking and the most beautiful venue in Ohio (yes I am biased!). We didn't even look anywhere else as I knew we had to be married here. We did our ceremony in the Palm House and the reception in the Wells Barn, with an hour in between to allow guests to tour the Conservatory. We got married during the Orchids exhibit - even though it was a winter wedding, once you step inside it felt magical and tropical. Sarah & Allyson were our venue coordinators and they were very responsive, friendly, and organized leading up to the event. The day-of, everything went super smooth and I am sure that is because they were working hard behind the scenes! It is clear they do many events here and know how to manage them well.

We had our wedding here on 9/5/21 - we are of course biased, but had an absolute BLAST. Our event coordinator from the venue Ant was 40/10 amazing . The venue itself is of course stunning, but having Ant on our team is one of the standout memories from the entire experience. She knows the venue inside and out, so was able to guide decision-making for key components. She's also just an incredible personality. She already had an amazing relationship with our catering lead, and quickly formed a strong relationship with our own event planner. That helped to take away so much stress and planning on my end. Knowing that Ant and Ali had it all handled allowed us to just really relax and enjoy the day, which is even more remarkable give there was a threat of rain on the day! Not to mention that Ant is just very fun and funny, and we genuinely enjoyed chatting with her!The venue itself is of course gorgeous. We had the ceremony inside the Palm House, with the cocktail hour on the lower terrace, and reception on the upper terrace. Every time I see a wedding guest even 4.5 months later, they always comment on how beautiful the entire venue is.The conservatory also offers some rental options like lights, market tenting, etc. We found that super helpful - just one less thing to have to coordinate with another vendor for. If you are planning your reception outdoors, make sure you rent the string lights! We were grateful for the extra lighting.I am SO glad we had our wedding with FPC. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone!

She knows the venue inside and out, so was able to guide decision-making for key components. She's also just an incredible personality. She already had an amazing relationship with our catering lead, and quickly formed a strong relationship with our own event planner. That helped to take away so much stress and planning on my end. Knowing that Ant and Ali had it all handled allowed us to just really relax and enjoy the day, which is even more remarkable give there was a threat of rain on the day! Not to mention that Ant is just very fun and funny, and we genuinely enjoyed chatting with her!The venue itself is of course gorgeous. We had the ceremony inside the Palm House, with the cocktail hour on the lower terrace, and reception on the upper terrace. Every time I see a wedding guest even 4.5 months later, they always comment on how beautiful the entire venue is.The conservatory also offers some rental options like lights, market tenting, etc. We found that super helpful - just one less thing to have to coordinate with another vendor for. If you are planning your reception outdoors, make sure you rent the string lights! We were grateful for the extra lighting.I am SO glad we had our wedding with FPC. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone!

My fiance and I got married on the West Terrace on September 18, 2021, and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue. Our Event Coordinator Antoinette Fetters went above and beyond to make our day special, steamrolling over bumps in the row to make our event absolutely stunning. Our final meeting with Antoinette a few weeks prior to the event was *extremely* thorough and put my mind fully at ease.Some other notes-- I cannot speak highly enough about the bar staff. While they were busy all evening, they were 1000% professional and probably the best bar staff I've ever seen at a wedding.I would also recommend adding in the glass unity ceremony. We just picked up our blown glass vase, and it's absolutely beautiful.

The staff was wonderful and our coordinator, Sarah, was extremely helpful, organized, and responsive. She guided us through every step and made sure we were up to date on all protocols. We got married in the Palm House at Franklin Park Conservatory. The ceremony was absolutely stunning & perfect in every way. It was exactly as we imagined it and if I had to go back and do it all again, I wouldn’t change a thing. There were a few hiccups and negotiations that needed to be made, some due to things on our end, some on theirs, and some due to the pandemic, but in the end, all was resolved. It was well worth it and we are extremely happy with how things turned out.

As the ceiling was leaking and drenching my DJ and equipment (no venue staff in sight) Sarah was called only to state she was \"sitting in her office and someone would be bringing an umbrella.\" She also lost and misplaced some of my wedding items and decorations despite being given very clear directions on what should be set out and where. She was extremely unhelpful throughout rehearsal, wedding, reception, and after.Not to mention, FPC furloughed all their catering staff after we rescheduled our new covid wedding date with them. We had already moved out of state, and our families had to scramble to find new catering. The toilet was also broken in the grooms' suite. With all the beautiful wedding venues in Columbus and surrounding areas, stay away from Franklin Park Conservatory, or at least ask for a decent day-of coordinator.

We got married at Franklin Park Conservatory's Palm House & Wolfe Terrace and it was amazing! My husband and I got married in the Palm House. The setting created such a romantic and fairy tale-like atmosphere for our ceremony, and the pictures were absolutely stunning. We did not have the reception here, so we scheduled the ceremony at 1:30 pm during the earlier afternoon block Franklin Park offered so we could avoid the inflated evening price for just a 30 minute ceremony.Our day-of coordinator, Olivia, was absolutely amazing during the entire process. The amount of detail she went into during our first call about the wedding day gave my husband and I a lot of comfort. (We live in Seattle, so we had to do everything over the phone or over email.) Olivia was very organized and on top of every detail so we did not have to be. My husband and I got married in the Palm House. The setting created such a romantic and fairy tale-like atmosphere for our ceremony, and the pictures were absolutely stunning. We did not have the reception here, so we scheduled the ceremony at 1:30 pm during the earlier afternoon block Franklin Park offered so we could avoid the inflated evening price for just a 30 minute ceremony.Our day-of coordinator, Olivia, was absolutely amazing during the entire process. The amount of detail she went into during our first call about the wedding day gave my husband and I a lot of comfort. (We live in Seattle, so we had to do everything over the phone or over email.) Olivia was very organized and on top of every detail so we did not have to be. We could not have asked for a more amazing venue for our wedding. We got married on the Wolfe Terrace and had our wedding in the Palm House. Our point person, Emily was amazing to work with. She was always friendly and quick to respond. Franklin Park was also great - when we wanted to visit the site to go over wedding details or show another family member the venue. The venue itself is gorgeous and automatically makes the ambiance magical for an evening wedding. The bartenders we from the venue were also amazing .

It is a beautiful venue and well laid out for this type of event.Maria, the event coordinator, and Antoinette, the catering coordinator, were enthusiastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. They were a big part of why everything ran smoothly. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars was the acoustics of the Barn are not great, making conversation at the tables during dinner a little difficult.Overall, we highly recommend it!

Looking back on our wedding (just one week ago!), my husband and I are so overjoyed we booked the Palm House at the Franklin Park Conservatory for our Wedding Reception. The space is so beautiful and our guests loved it. Our guests had access to the entire conservatory from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm; and our reception finished around 11:30. There was a small fee (~$150.00) to have the butterfly exhibit open as well and it was absolutely worth it. Unfortunately it was cold and raining on the day of our wedding reception and we couldn't use the outdoor terrace space attached to the Palm House. Thankfully, we were able to use the enclosed bonsai-tree garden space instead of the terrace, which is just as lovely. We decided to have our reception catered by the Franklin Park Conservatory and I'm very happy and grateful we did. We threw a \"heavy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails\" style reception. We primarily worked with Lauren Miller in deciding our reception menu, flow of the evening, what we were going have as passed hors d'oeuvres, what was going to be served as stations, how much to order etc. Lauren was extremely knowledgeable and clearly very experienced in what she does. Lauren was excellent to work with and helped us tremendously in planning our reception. We received many compliments on the food we served and Lauren made sure to set some food aside for my husband and I to ensure we got something to eat. Maria, our wedding co-ordinator, was also very accommodating, easy to communicate and work with and was a tremendous help!I can't say enough good things about our experiencing planning our wedding reception at Franklin Park as well as the actual main event itself. Everything went so smoothly and we are very pleased with the end result!

We loved that the venue was slightly separate from the other venues in the main conservatory, and our day of coordinator Angel was wonderful. Caitlin and Lauren were absolutely life saving, and so great. I could not gush about this place any more. Everything was very hands on and as smooth as wedding planning can be. They were there with a back up sound system when it was needed, and ran that wedding like a Navy ship. The only warning I have is to absolutely listen to them when they say that the Palm House is warm. They are not lying. It was not uncomfortable, but it’s a greenhouse so don’t wear thick material. I have not one bad thing to say. Beautiful venue!

First off, my wedding was beautiful and my day of event coordinator was amazing! They clearly hold a lot of weddings and I was slightly disappointed in the communication for the venue leading up to before I got my actual day of coordinator. I felt like I was constantly having to reach out and find out when I should be doing things. You aren't allowed to bring in any outside alcohol because of their liquor license, which is fine, but they make you pay per drink individually and so our bar bill was a HUGE chunk of our wedding budget. We chose to go with the conservatory catering, the food was all amazing. However, we paid extra to have glassware for everyone and the bar ran out and started serving plastic cups which obviously upset my mom. I had sheets cakes of 2 flavors and then my tiered wedding cake was a third flavor and they didn't even cut my wedding cake when they should have, I had to realize halfway through the night that I didn't get the cake I wanted to eat. I feel like most of the issues we had day of were on the catering end, and it wasn't anything major but for how expensive the venue is, I felt like they were things that should not have happened. They also had a wedding during the morning right before mine in the venue so we couldn't have access to the venue any sooner than 2 hours before the start of the wedding, which was kind of a pain because all the pictures had to be done before the ceremony.

My wedding was perfect and everything I imagined. Thanks to my family, friends, and Made From Scratch. No thanks to Franklin Park. The coordinator was terrible and my friends had to take over making sure the reception ran smoothly. They are over priced and have very strict liquor policies. They didn’t have enough chairs and were going to make us pay more to rent some, even though we told them our guest count was 60 more than it actually was. We had the space rented from 6-12 and we had the ceremony beginning at 6. They pushed it back to 6:30 and we didn’t have enough light to get all the pictures we wanted. I’m really sad about that. The grounds are beautiful and the barn was exactly what I wanted. That’s the ONLY reason they get any stars .

We had picked out Dock 580 for our wedding. However, things took a turn for the worst, and 60 days before our wedding, we started looking for a new venue. 60 days, for a 200 person wedding people. We were asking the impossible, but I reached out to FPC anyway. Russell started working with us and got us in for a tour, 3 tours to be exact, one for the bride, her dad and then the groom, because we couldn't all make it at once. Russell was honest about all the costs for FPC upfront. He did a great job showing us where the money was going and told us which of the many caterers they allow on-site would be the cheapest. He was very responsive and really easy to work with.30 days before our wedding we signed the contract and met with our event coordinator, Caitlin M., and our franklin park catering contact, Addison. These two ladies did all the hard work. Addison gave us 5 pages of fantastic sounding food, and Caitlin asked all the hard timeline and decor questions. Both of these ladies also came prepared with suggestions, and ideas and everything went very smoothly, because of these two. Addison specifically reworked our catering proposal 4 times because of my thoughts and suggestions and the head count changes. She made sure the night of that all the vegetarians got their food even though I left one off the map she made for me. Also, the food was fabulous! We had a taco bar which was a great hit with our guests and there was a ton to eat!!! I saw Addison once at the reception, which was when she made me another taco because my husband thought I didn't get enough to eat. SHE MADE ME FOOD GUYS. Seriously, Franklin Park catering was terrific and very reasonable. We paid 9500 for the taco buffet for 175 people. Caitlin, the event coordinator was seriously the best. She put bridesmaids in their place, she made sure the seats were set up, she put the seating chart together, she made sure the cupcakes we're out and that the cookies were out and that the bar was open at the right time. Caitlin took what would have been a great wedding, and turned it into the best day of my life. Our total for all parts of the wedding at FPC, was about 16,000, for 175 people. That is with an open bar. Compared to what we would have spent on other nearby venues this was extremely reasonable. Not to mention how we keep getting compliment after compliment on how cool it was to get married at FPC. Everyone loved it!! I personally am a little sentimental and I love that it's a public area, so I can literally go there with my husband every anniversary. If you're looking for a place to get married that is unique, efficient, fun for kids, budget friendly and close to hotels, FPC is your place. no doubt about it. They will take care of you there.

If you are looking for a picturesque venue with Chihuly's glass art, rooms exploding with flowers and butterflies, then Franklin Park is the obvious answer. This historic venue preserves class with the Palm House, tradition with the Bride's garden and modern appeal with the Atrium, and each space smells fantastic too! We catered with FPC and so glad we had Diane shepard our decisions. Her response rate is incredible. However, I removed one star for the antiquated process of the amount of people and overly complicated process of sales rep to coordinator to planner. The game of telephone really ruined my changes at a few good event options and ultimately ended up in a miscommunication about A/V and so after being told I didn't need microphones, I did, and none of the ones they supplied us worked or had full battery. So, upon choosing this venue know you will have to dot your i's and cross your t's going into the planning process. Otherwise, net: a Fantastic, solid option and I have the very best photos of a wedding any bride could ever dream up!

The lighting at night makes it truly magical. The event staff was excellent, and our day of coordinator, Emily, was fantastic and super responsive by phone, or email. Unfortunately, we chose a day in the fall that happened to be warm, but despite the heat, it went off with a hitch. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who is planning the wedding of their dreams!

Franklin Park Conservatory helped make our dreams come true! We held our wedding on 9/8/17 on the West Terrace/Palm House venue space. It was absolutely beautiful! The on-site coordinator they provided for us was such an enormous help! We had Angel as our coordinator and she was so patient and accommodating. It was such a comfort to be able to relax on our special day and know that the day-of details were being taken care of. Angel did a fantastic job, and everything went so smoothly thanks to her! We also used Franklin Park's catering service. The food was amazing. We had steak and chicken as our main entrée options for our buffet. Our guests are still raving about how delicious all of the food was. In my opinion, how good (or bad) reception food turns out is one of the things gusts remember. I am so ecstatic that ours will be remembered fondly thanks to the catering staff and chef who cooked up one of the best meals we have ever had! The catering event manager, Addison, was also very helpful in the set up and flow of the reception. She made the set up of the reception space easy to organize which helped a great deal in my planning and seating chart. Both of these staff members did a remarkable job at helping to make our day perfect! I highly recommend this venue! It is so very beautiful, and the staff do so much to take the stress off of the couple and ensure that your special day is all that you dreamed.

I was impressed with Brooke who - when the facilities team was unavailable to take down the tent side we no longer needed - quickly jumped in to make sure the client was satisfied. Many venue coordinators will hide behind their clipboard and say 'that's not my job,' but Brooke's dedication to her clients is evident in the way she serves. The facilities are beautiful and they even have private suites for the couple should they need a clothing change or just want a private moment together before joining the reception. It's also close to many downtown hotels and churches. Definitely worth a look for those of you searching for a wedding venue in Columbus!

We had our wedding at the new Wells Barn venue and it was beautiful. The barn doesn't need to be very dressed up, and the back gardens were perfect for photos and the ceremony. Our coordinator was great, she knew what she was doing and stayed with us through the whole day. They coordinated our large rental items for us which made it stress free. Also the barn has the most beautiful chairs and we didn't have to pay extra for them. The only thing I would improve are the rainy day plans, I thought they were a little pricey and kind of limiting.

The palm house was a gorgeous venue that all of my guests loved and appreciated the opportunity to explore the conservatory throughout our reception. I planned my wedding in four weeks and the staff at FPC were incredibly accommodating and supportive throughout the entire process and understanding when I changed a few aspects the day before. I was able to do everything that I dreamed of for my wedding and the staff kindly connected with me and my family throughout the event to check in and make sure everything was going well the day of. Through booking with FPC a wedding coordinator is assigned to your wedding and is hands on throughout the entire day. Our coordinator, Angel, was incredibly attentive and made the day virtually stress free for me. We also went through FPC catering. The food was absolutely delicious and many of the guests commented that it was the best wedding food they have ever had. Everything about my wedding day was absolutely magical!

I was not satisfied with the communication leading up to the wedding. They do not give you a coordinator until 45 days before your event, so I felt like a lot of my questions went unanswered longer than I wanted them too. We had our ceremony here at 1:30PM 9/10/16 and one of the biggest perks is that it required no additional decor because there are live flowers, trees, gazebos, etc. We did a simple juice bar after the ceremony for the guests prior to their self-guided conservatory tour (free for all guests) and they LOVED it. We booked the morning slot from 10AM-3PM and could get into the bridal suite at 8AM; everything we asked for was accommodated. The sites we had were the rooftop terrace (The Grove) and that came with backup rain room (The Veridian) and the Bride's Garden for photos. We were allowed to walk around anywhere to take photos (except other weddings going on) and they are awesome! I worked with Emily Buroker and she is the sweetest! Would definitely recommend this place for a GORGEOUS venue; photo ops are priceless here!

We had our ceremony here at 1:30PM 9/10/16 and one of the biggest perks is that it required no additional decor because there are live flowers, trees, gazebos, etc. We did a simple juice bar after the ceremony for the guests prior to their self-guided conservatory tour (free for all guests) and they LOVED it. We booked the morning slot from 10AM-3PM and could get into the bridal suite at 8AM; everything we asked for was accommodated. The Franklin Park Conservatory was a beautiful place for our wedding reception and we got some beautiful pictures. We had our reception in the atrium which was beautiful with the new renovation and origami butterfly installation. Our guests loved viewing the greenhouses and seeing the butterflies. I had a rehearsal dinner for 180 people in the Grand Atrium and they had 3 other events booked that night, the place was chaotic. We had a signed contract for the dinner and cocktail hour space and a detailed floor plan and contingencies for rain. We were surprised when we arrived that none of these things were done . We had no space for the cocktail hour and as our guests were arriving we had to beg for the space we were promised and a bar to be set up. We contracted for two bars, only one was set up. The liquor was not as contracted and only when we showed them the actual e mail that said we were supposed to have tequila, did they go and find some (halfway through the event). I called and e mailed management the next business day to discuss the event,and got no response. After a week, a representative said someone would call me 10 days later. They don't seem to care. You sign a contract that details your responsibilities, but this venue does not honor any written,verbal or e mailed responsibilities they agree to do. Beware, get everything in writing but that does not mean they will honor it the day of your event

We used the Franklin Park caterers. At least 8 of our guests did not come and yet at least three items were gone before everyone was through the buffet line. We had a brunch and the bacon and French toast casserole and potatoes were gone before the last table was served. I complained at the time and all they did was prepare more eggs but by that time they were cutting the cake. And our photographer( who was an invited guest as well) was still eating and unaware when the staff called the bride and groom to cut the cake. How much does bread cost to have enough French toast on handI? I would not recommend a buffet unless they have greatly improved. It has been over a year and I still am unhappy about it. They said they use a formula that usually works. We received a small refund but that doesn't make up for the guests who didn't get a full meal.

Wolfe palm house in the background, and hosted our brunch inside with the palm trees.\r\rWe were set up with a wedding planner, Taylor, about 45 days out from our wedding, and she helped us finalize all of our details. \r\rOn the day of the wedding, we were given access to 2 dressing rooms that were very clean, and allowed our wedding party a place to relax and cool off between pictures and the wedding.

Beautiful place, but go somewhere else. For the money you spend and the kind of service they offer is not equal whatsoever. We first worked with Lauren, and she was good. She responded quickly and answered all of our questions very well. We then got sent to Leanne, and she was just not what I would expect when spending over $3000 for the venue. She seemed to be out of the office more than she was in. When emailed and asked questions, she would answer some with a response that wasn't even what I asked which made it seem as if she wouldn't read through the entire email or pay attention to detail, which I think is an important quality as a wedding coordinator. \rIf you are having an evening wedding in the terrace area be prepared for paying for a lot of extra lighting. We visited at night with just the light poles they had and it was way too dark. My family and I couldn't understand how proper lighting is not provided for an evening wedding. It was ridiculous. They ended up adding light strands to the railings, some tea light candles and extra light posts for free and I'm glad they were for free because even with those added it was still dark. Our photographer had problems with taking pictures because of how dark it was. \rThe bartenders were pretty terrible also. They weren't very friendly and I know the one man didn't know how to make a lot of drinks and he messed up a few. Just once again, not what I would expect for paying over $1000 for drinks and 2 bartenders. \rThe rehearsal was a joke. First of all, the time had to be switched 3 times which was crazy. \rWe only had about 20-30 minutes to practice, which was our fault because we were late since we had people traveling in and everything. However, it was as if we never got anything done. Leanne seemed really shy and nervous to get things going and everything together. We basically wasted our time with that. \rFinally, we had our wedding and yes, of course it was beautiful, no denying that. \rBut then, our second day on our honeymoon and we notice our account was overdrawn by over $2000 from Franklin park. We only had a little over $2000 to pay and they charged us over $6000. It took 3 times for me to get ahold from someone, and of course Leanne was out of the office until 2:00 that afternoon. The one lady told me she would have her call as soon as she came in. I still left a message at Leanne's phone. Of course I'm a little on edge because we are on our honeymoon and worried about this and not wanting to spend any money until we know what is going on. Well 2:20 rolls around and we haven't heard from Leanne. I call her and explain what has happened. The thing that bothered me the most is that it seemed as though she could care less. She said she would return our call as soon as she figured out what was going on. After almost 2 hours my husband called her since we still hadn't heard from her. She found out that they Had accidentally charged us for something additional that was free. Of course they refunded us and everything was fixed. But this was a really costly mistake and because of everything else we weren't satisfied with, this just made it even worse. \rSo really, you can find another venue for the same price or even cheaper that is just as beautiful.

When my husband and I were in the very early stages of our wedding planning, we both knew how important it was to us to get married in a unique, outdoor setting. We're wedding photographers, so through experience, we knew an outdoor wedding was the best possible option. Franklin Park Conservatory was truly everything we needed in our wedding venue!\r\rThey were super responsive to emails and my questions - in fact, they were the first and ONLY venue to respond to my initial \"I want to tour your venue, can you send me pricing\" emails. We booked them exactly a year out from our wedding date and in that 12 month time period, there were only a few months that we went without hearing from them (our assigned coordinator was on maternity leave during that time and it was during the slower, winter months).\r\rWe worked with Carrie (day-of coordinator), Lauren (catering manager) and Diana (assistant catering manager) and all three ladies were marvelous! Carrie has this I-mean-business attitude and will keep you on schedule, which is really hard on wedding days! Lauren and Diana were wonderful in helping me select the food we wanted to serve - my husband is vegan and they went above and beyond to help cater to his needs. Side note: we served breakfast and FPC Catering knocked it out of the park! The breakfast sausage links were the talk of the reception and the vegan pancakes were delicious!\r\rMy only complaint would be that during the speeches, a woman from the catering staff attempted to release tables for the buffet line. DURING SPEECHES!\r\rIf you're looking for a venue that can do it all (ceremony, reception, and catering) while having a unique, artsy atmosphere, look no further.

AMAZING! We chose FPC for it's beauty and potential for a built in rain plan...and good thing, because we had a downpour. During our rehearsal the night before our wedding we made the decision to move everything inside the Palm House and Bonzai gardens due to high risk of rain...and although everything had been planned for an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, with indoor reception only, the whole thing turned out beautifully. The day of our wedding there were 3 weddings going, but aside from seeing another bride's dressing room next to ours, you never would have known it. We used the catering from FPC as well and our guests could not have been happier with the food. Megan and Diana were absolutely amazing coordinators and helped to make our day truly magical despite a little rainy setback. If FPC is in your budget, it is definitely worth it! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I had my wedding in the Palm House in March of 2015 and it was the perfect venue for me. It was everything I loved about outdoor venues without having to worry about the weather. The natural setting is so beautiful that very little decoration was needed. The staff at the conservatory was very helpful. We had a lot of children at the wedding, and the whole conservatory is open to them it allowed them to go exploring to burn off some energy. It did get a little warm when the sun came out, but it is a greenhouse so I knew this was a possibility, and had warned all the guests and provided fans for them (as our wedding programs). I also used their catering and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend this venue.

This was the most beautiful wedding venue I could've ever imagined. Our wedding day was perfect. Of course it is a pricey venue but to me it was worth it. Diana was our day-of coordinator and throughout all of my long-distance planning from Louisiana she was great about answering any questions I had and providing updated price estimates. She made sure I was comfortable with all the plans and day-of schedule. The only warning I have is to be careful about potential hidden charges. I had heard that there is a tendency with FPC to get charged for little things, like bringing confetti to the venue or needing to rent a microphone. (Of course all of these things are in the contract, so just be sure to read the contract thoroughly and clarify on any issues.) We paid the final catering balance the day of the rehearsal, and we were told that it was the final charge. But about 10 days after the wedding we had a $1200 charge on our credit card. When I called to inquire I was told that this was the final catering charge. I reviewed it with our previous paperwork and it does seem correct, but it was still a little frustrating to have been told on the day of the rehearsal that we were all paid up. Nonetheless, it was a day we will never forget!

Our wedding turned out okay. Franklin Park is absolutely beautiful we just unfortunately got married on a 93 degree day in the Palm House with it raining outside so there was no escape from the heat. We rented all four cooling units for the Palm House and despite what the coordinators tell you, they do almost nothing for the heat. I realize the weather is beyond anyone's control and that's not why I rated them as I have. The lower rating comes from 1). you don't get assigned a coordinator until 30 days before the wedding (I wish we had more time to go over details beforehand), 2). the first coordinator I had Nicole quit or something happened so they assigned me Diana and it was a little frustrating starting over again with details, 3). some of the things I conveyed to Diana didn't happen (the officiant had a microphone but no one could hear him so they probably should have tested this first; also when our plan A was rained out and we went with plan B she forgot to tell the musicians to change locations for the cocktail hour and we asked for a microphone to hear them better which didn't happen; we also paid to keep the butterfly room open during cocktail hour and no one could get into it because the doors were locked; by the way, I never saw Diana once during our wedding to make her aware of these issues), and 4) the venue is overpriced with such a high beverage minimum that I'm sure few weddings meet (we had a 120 people and an open bar with all the reserve alcohol and still didn't meet it with people drinking a TON from the heat). I feel bad giving it the lower rating as this really was my dream wedding spot but some things feel short of my expectations from such a high priced venue.

Our wedding turned out okay. Franklin Park is absolutely beautiful we just unfortunately got married on a 93 degree day in the Palm House with it raining outside so there was no escape from the heat. We rented all four cooling units for the Palm House and despite what the coordinators tell you, they do almost nothing for the heat. I realize the weather is beyond anyone's control and that's not why I rated them as I have. The lower rating comes from 1). you don't get assigned a coordinator until 30 days before the wedding (I wish we had more time to go over details beforehand), 2). the first coordinator I had Nicole quit or something happened so they assigned me Diana and it was a little frustrating starting over again with details, 3). some of the things I conveyed to Diana didn't happen (the officiant had a microphone but no one could hear him so they probably should have tested this first; also when our plan A was rained out and we went with plan B she forgot to tell the musicians to change locations for the cocktail hour and we asked for a microphone to hear them better which didn't happen; we also paid to keep the butterfly room open during cocktail hour and no one could get into it because the doors were locked; by the way, I never saw Diana once during our wedding to make her aware of these issues), and 4) the venue is overpriced with such a high beverage minimum that I'm sure few weddings meet (we had a 120 people and an open bar with all the reserve alcohol and still didn't meet it with people drinking a TON from the heat). I feel bad giving it the lower rating as this really was my dream wedding spot but some things feel short of my expectations from such a high priced venue.

The most beautiful venue to have a wedding and a reception. All of our guests said that it was the most beautiful wedding venue they have ever been to. Our wedding coordinator Diana was such a pleasure to work with. We had to move our ceremony and reception inside at the last minute and it was orchestrated so smoothly. The surroundings are so beautiful and at night the lights truly make the venue feel magical.

My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at Franklin Park Conservatory, who also catered the event. Everything was absolutely wonderful -- our dressing suites were amazing, the food was absolutely delicious (our guests are still raving about the short ribs and potatoes) the ceremony and reception locations were gorgeous (we used the veridian/bride's garden/grove combination) and all the way throughout, from our first meeting, to the tasting where they made FULL portions for us to taste, to the day of the wedding, we were treated as though we were family, and our wedding day was as important to them as it was to us. I cannot recommend them highly enough -- we left that evening feeling as though our day had been perfect from start to finish. The only thing that was remotely \"less than\" for us will be of great advantage to other brides; our wedding coordinator was slightly more detail oriented and focused on perfection than we were (we happen to be highly organized, but ridiculously laid back). Absolutely wonderful!

We had our wedding here on a Sunday afternoon in May, and the weather was gorgeous! We reserved the West Terrace, which comes with the Palm House as an alternate indoor location. The greenery was beautiful and the pictures were gorgeous! We loved the fact that our guests would also be able to enjoy the conservatory before/after the ceremony. We had a fusion Hindu/western ceremony and the staff were extremely accommodating and willing to work with us. We had a dedicated wedding coordinator the day of the ceremony, and she did a fantastic job of making sure that everything ran smoothly. \r\rOne downside is that the rental and catering are fairly pricey, it was $3000 for the Sunday afternoon time slot. Also, there is a fairly high beverage minimum, so we chose to bring our own water bottles (which they allow).

I've been a member of the Franklin Park Conservatory for years and I couldn't imagine a more beautiful setting for a spring wedding. My dream came true and I wed the love of my life there this spring. Our family and friends were able to tour the conservatory in between the ceremony and reception, many had never been there before. We used the Conservatory's own catering company and they did an excellent job. It was truly a memorable and wonderful day.

The Franklin Park Conservatory was a good choice for our wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous, and people enjoyed how the whole place was laid out. We didn't need to do a lot of extra decorating because the site was already so pretty. Our choice of table clothes and centerpieces add the flair that the Palm House needed.\r\rThe biggest problem I had with the service at the Conservatory was a substandard sound system. My guests had a very, very difficult time hearing what the pastor, the groom, I, and other speakers had to say. The music was even a little difficult to make out. I'm not sure what the deal was, but the sound system was substandard.
