I don't usually write reviews but I had to in this case . . . our daughter was just married at Freedom Hill and we are still getting calls from guests about how great the venue and the food was. From the first visit to see the hall to gathering all out stuff after the event, Lynda and her team were exceptional. Lynda was patient and professional with every call and email we had in the months leading up to the wedding. Chef Gabby prepared a delicious meal - salmon, chicken piccata and the pork tenderloin with cherry chutney was a big hit. You know it's good when people tell you how much the enjoyed everything - even the salad - seriously - several guests commented specifically on the Michigan salad! Our dinner was served family style and the servings were hot and plentiful. Only suggestion is that if you have kids attending, you may want to ask them to feed the kids first. Kids meals were the last to come out but by then, the kids had already eaten the main food and no longer wanted their chicken tenders/fries. The weather was beautiful and we made use of the hall's lovely patio. Many of our guests enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the evening. We are grateful to Lynda and the staff at Freedom Hill Banquet Center for making our daughter's wedding everything the bride and groom wanted.

Freedom Hill was an amazing venue everything I absolutely wanted. I loved having the entire banquet center to ourselves. The bridal and groom suites were amazing! We had access to all the lighting and they even lit the gazebo during the ceremony purple for us. All of our guests loved their food especially the special order meals we included. The only complaint/concern I had during the whole process was the amount of communication. We had to reach out several times by phone and email before getting a response. With that aside everything was amazing and I couldn’t be happier with how our day turned out.

Lynda and Michelle went above and beyond for our wedding! They were so helpful and accommodating. They answered all of our questions and we didn't get a surprise bill at the end of the reception. The food was also incredible! Chef Bobby was so kind to us and especially my husband's grandmother, whom he made a special plate of food for. They were even able to accommodate 3 different types of dietary restrictions of our guests. The only downside that we had was that we did not get our champagne toast for the head table like we were supposed to, but I honestly didn't even notice until after the fact. We have friends getting married here next year and we actually brought them to our tasting. Beautiful place!

My husband and I used freedom hill for our wedding reception last October and we were so pleased. When our journey first started the caterer for the banquet center was Andiamo and by the end when we went to pick out the finalized menu the caterering had changed to Chef Bobby. We were caught of guard but Chef Bobby, Annie and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make sure our day and every detail wasperfect. The food was amazing and the talk of the wedding up until now. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married or have a party.

I had my wedding here in July and it was amazing! Our ceremony was onsite and absolutely beautiful. Many of our guests used the area as photo ops for themselves. It is also very shaded which kept them cool from the sunny day. Our reception was awesome. The staff were all very attentive. It was a nice touch that the staff got my husband and I our dinners (did not want to spill buffet food on my dress) and drinks! Annie is very flexible about how you want to set everything up and will provide anything that she has to make the day better. She makes herself available through in person meetings, email, and even personal cell so you can contact her anytime a question arises. On the day of she was there to make sure everything was in place and any request I had she took care of immediately! She was the best! No need to have a wedding coordinator with her on your side. At the venue we liked having bride and groom rooms to get ready in. It is also nice that you don't share the venue with anyone as there are not multiple rooms. The food was so so good. Our favorite parts were the cheese stuffed tortellini with alfredo and oddly enough the Italian dressing. Guests raved about how great the food was! Overall we got lots of compliments on how nice everything was and what a great venue we chose! Truly a hidden gem to have your wedding at!

We had our wedding here at Freedom Hill on June 16th, 2018. I don't think I could have had a better experience. Anne was the most amazing, she made herself available to me 24/7 of I had a question, needed suggestions, it wanted to come in and take care of last minute things. She truly made the experience smooth. The food was amazing, the bar staff was amazing, as well as everyone in between. You will not regret choosing Freedom Hill for your next event.

Anne was the most amazing, she made herself available to me 24/7 of I had a question, needed suggestions, it wanted to come in and take care of last minute things. She truly made the experience smooth. The food was amazing, the bar staff was amazing, as well as everyone in between. You will not regret choosing Freedom Hill for your next event.

Had our wedding reception here in July 2017. My husband and I decided to have a wedding in less than two months. That being said, we were on a time crunch! We couldn’t be more grateful to Annie, Chef Bobby, and the staff at Freedom Hill Banquet and Event Center for making our wedding so special! We had booked our wedding at Freedom Hill Banquet and Event Center prior to the new management’s takeover, and we could not be more ecstatic with the way our wedding turned out. The venue is beautiful and fit our 180+ guests easily. Annie, the Banquet and Event Center Coordinator, was such a pleasure to work with. She took time out to meet with us on several occasions to make ensure our dream wedding came to reality. One of the things that impressed us most about Annie was how accessible she made herself to us. Not only did she provide us with her cell phone number, but she made herself available to us 24/7 with any questions, concerns, or issues. Annie was extremely patient with us during this process, well-organized, and helped ensure that everything went according to plan. Annie is amazing at what she does! Chef Bobby Nahra held true to his reputation as being one of Metro Detroit’s best chefs. The hors d'oeuvres were a huge hit. Our guests loved them and ate them all up! Our dinner menu included the braised short rib, chicken parmesan, tortellini with alfredo sauce, potatoes, and green beans. Chef Bobby even served us our food, which we thought was pretty special. The food was AMAZING! When we were making our way around to say hello to our guests, they all had nothing but wonderful things to say about the food. Our wedding turned out better than we ever could’ve hoped for, and we owe a huge portion of that to Annie, Chef Bobby, and the amazing staff at Freedom Hill Banquet and Event Center! We would strongly recommend any couples looking for a wedding venue to check out Freedom Hill Banquet and Event Center!

We had our wedding on January 13th and it was the most magical day ever! Freedom Hill was amazing to work with. When management changed halfway to our wedding I must admit I was a little worried but it worked out so much better then it would have. They were so accommodating to everything that we wanted and needed. Annie was the absolute greatest and was there to make our day so smooth and everything we could ever hope for. Not to mention Chef Bobby’s food was so delicious and we had so many compliments on the food, how beautiful the hall was and how smoothly everything went. I couldn’t have asked for a better day for us! Thank you to all the staff! I would suggest this venue to anyone looking to have the event of their dreams.

The venue is beautiful and the food was great. Everything was set up nicely. The event details were not exactly as we wanted. Our rehearsal was changed last minute due to an event. I understood that could happen but I wasn’t notified immediately instead it was 3 days before. Then at the rehearsal the woman left in charge practically outed my pregnancy to everyone present. We hadn’t announced it yet. I had specifically met with the coorindator to ensure things went smoothly with that. The coordinator wasn’t present that evening. She had taken the day off which is fine but I wish things were discussed with the person in charge. The person left in charge also lied and said the coordinator was just running an errand. Our guests were supposed to choose their pie. The pie was not put on display as requested instead served individually. I would’ve been fine with this but my guests were only offered 2 of the options. We had a full party tray of the third option. Our guests let us know it wasn’t offered to them. I enjoyed our day and I really do love the venue itself but the organization could improve. When we sit down to discuss details you would expect those details to be followed.

Not a place for your dream wedding! Our daughter's wedding was there Sat., Oct 7th, 2017. Despite being assured by two different coordinators that no bands would be playing during her outdoor ceremony, they had scheduled a \"punk rock\" all day festival that continued playing throughout her 1/2 hour outdoor ceremony. The entrees for her 160 guests were served late and over 50% were served cold (not lukewarm, but COLD). Not the venue for a once-in-a-lifetime wedding!

I had my wedding here on October 13th, 2017 and it was better than I could have hoped for! When we originally booked it was with the previous management company and Faye was our go to person. Faye made us feel very comfortable, especially during such a stressful time. So we when received the email saying new management took over and Faye has left, we were very nervous with how the transition between companies would go and if we would still receive the same deals and exceptional customer service that Faye gave us. We called them to express our concerns and Chef Bobby invited us in to personally meet him and his staff to hopefully ease our worries. Annie and Chef Bobby went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with everything. All the planning leading up to the wedding went so smoothly I didn't have anything to worry about. Annie was prompt in returning my numerous emails and even gave us her cell number for any last minute questions in case she was out of the office. The day of the wedding couldn't have gone any better. My guests raved about the food as well as the staff. Mandy at the bar was so quick, there was never a line! Mandy and the other bartender (unfortunately I did not catch her name) remembered everyone's order so many times it would be done before they could even ask! I have received so many compliments since the wedding, on how beautiful the venue was, the attentive staff and the delicious food! Many didn't even know Freedom Hill had an event center and kept calling it a hidden gem. I can not thank Annie, Chef Bobby and their team for making sure everything went perfect.

So we when received the email saying new management took over and Faye has left, we were very nervous with how the transition between companies would go and if we would still receive the same deals and exceptional customer service that Faye gave us. We called them to express our concerns and Chef Bobby invited us in to personally meet him and his staff to hopefully ease our worries. Annie and Chef Bobby went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with everything. All the planning leading up to the wedding went so smoothly I didn't have anything to worry about. Annie was prompt in returning my numerous emails and even gave us her cell number for any last minute questions in case she was out of the office. The day of the wedding couldn't have gone any better. My guests raved about the food as well as the staff. Mandy at the bar was so quick, there was never a line! Mandy and the other bartender (unfortunately I did not catch her name) remembered everyone's order so many times it would be done before they could even ask! I have received so many compliments since the wedding, on how beautiful the venue was, the attentive staff and the delicious food! Many didn't even know Freedom Hill had an event center and kept calling it a hidden gem. I can not thank Annie, Chef Bobby and their team for making sure everything went perfect.

My wedding at Freedom Hill Banquet and Events Center was simply amazing! The staff there is beyond incredible! Annie and Ryan took the time to go over all the plans for my special day in detail and were there to answer any questions I had at anytime. They also checked in with me throughout my wedding night to make sure things were going well, to see if there was anything we needed, and overall to make sure my day was everything I could hope it to be! The additional staff was also soooo helpful. They made sure food and drinks were served efficiently and professionally. They even went above and beyond to help take care of one of my bridesmaids who had some health issues during my reception, they helped pack up my special table items at the end of the night, and they showed so much care and kindness to myself, my new husband, and all of our guests! The food was AWESOME! We received so many compliments on the filet, pasta, and food overall! Prior to our reception, my parents were able to come in early to set everything up with ease and my bridesmaids, mothers, and I used their bridal room to get ready for the day and Annie was a great help with making sure we had everything we needed. She made us feel relaxed and ready for the big day. Freedom Hill helped make our wedding day everything it could possibly be and we are entirely grateful to have chosen them for our wedding reception venue.

We saw Freedom Hill online and loved it just from the pics. When we got there we knew it was the place we wanted to have our wedding. Our original coordinator was so helpful and really put your mind at ease, unfortunately she left the week before our wedding with no notice. Even thought the new coordinator Ryan and his team were overwhelmed and left to pick up they pieces you never would have known. They were so professional, helpful, and really care! Chef Bobby is an amazing culinary artist, you can taste the love in his food. He even came to check on us many times throughout the day, and made sure we had anything and everything we wanted! Our guests were so impressed with the venue, staff, and food that they could not stop talking about how wonderful everything was and we could not agree more!!! Thank you to Ryan and Chef Bobby (plus everyone behind the scenes) for making our day one we will never forget!

This venue is under new management. Unfortunately the person that used to work there left which is such a shame because she is the reason we wanted to come back and have my shower here. The new management only cares about money and does not care about providing good customer service at all. We were told one price and went back to go over setting a date and details and that's when we found out about this new managment that took over. They did not care about what is posted on there website or what was discussed earlier for prices all The chef cares about is how he can put more money into his pocket. He talked down to me and was very condescending in the way he spoke. At least the person before him treated customers with respect. I wouldn't recommend going here after the awful experience I had. I am very disappointed and hopefully how he wants to run this business now will make him all the money in the world instead of turning people away for the awful customer service. They were very disorganized and I would not trust to have my wedding day or any event for that matter here which is such a shame because it is a gorgeous venue but Its not worth it to work with the new management.

I'm so glad to see more reviews on here for this venue. We were SO lucky to find this place and when we visited in August 2015 for my daughter's October 2016 wedding, we knew immediately this was the place and booked right away. Faye, as others have said, is amazing. She is the one who contacts your vendors, arranges for everything to be set up, and is there the entire wedding day, through clean up at night. Faye makes sure the bride's vision of her wedding day is exactly what happens. She is so organized and knows exactly how to time everything out for the day--you don't have to worry! The food is excellent, the location is convenient, there are several \"extras\" you don't get elsewhere (such as private dressing rooms for Bride and Groom, the gazebo and patio for outdoor weddings, beautiful grounds for outdoor photos, and a main room that needs very little decorations to be stunning.) The price is excellent--you won't find all this for less money, I promise you. Our daughter's wedding was just this past Saturday and I had to get right on and give this venue 5 stars. I hope this review helps others, since I looked everywhere to find reviews as we were planning. If you want the personal touch, book Freedom Hill and let Faye help you create a perfect day!

Freedom Hill is the best kept secret in Macomb County, and Faye the event planner will tell you that. Stunning rustic decor, and a beautiful patio with a gazebo for your ceremony if you so choose. We had our ceremony and reception here. Faye was with us from the beginning and was cleaning up at the end of the night. You will not find a better person to make sure your special day is perfect. Faye is a complimentary day of coordinator, and she is amazing at what she does. I could not have chosen a better place for our wedding! The food is amazing, and the staff is even more amazing! Used this for our wedding reception venue and it was spectacular. The facility is in immaculate condition and is different than your average banquet center. The simplicity of the hall is gorgeous and looks great in pictures. The food is to die for and the staff is so friendly, accommodating to requests and wonderful to work with!

We were allowed to decorate the gazebo for the ceremony. All staff working there was great both friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend any type of party here! I loved Freedom Hill! The minute we walked into the hall we knew we had to have it. My husband and I are both very laid back people, and the \"ballroom\" look does not appeal to us. I am the 10th person in my family to get married and they all basically looked the same so we were looking for something different and boy did we find it! I loved all the exposed brick and the wood! I fell in love with the lights! I loved that it was more intimate, there is only one room in the whole building so there is only your wedding going on and you know you wont have strangers walking in your room. Freedom Hill puts your name on the marquee outside which was so exciting to see as we pulled up to the reception. Freedom Hill is managed by Andiamo so you know that is good food! Faye the event coordinator there can be a little harsh. She wants things done a specific way. Which works because not one thing went wrong at the venue. I did feel like she was giving me a little attitude at the end of the night when my husband, our family and I were trying to clean up and get out. Overall we had an amazing experience with Freedom Hill and with Faye. I would recommend Freedom Hill to any bride who wants something a little different!
