Boutique Winery with Rustic Barn

When choosing a venue we know you have options, and just want you to know that what we have to offer will create memories that will last a lifetime. Freedom Run Winery is a Boutique Winery with award-winning wine and a Rustic Barn located just 30 minutes from Buffalo International Airport, the Canadian border, and the Honeymoon Capital of the World...Niagara Falls! It has been a family-and-friends run business for more than 16 years, and our motto is 'We View Wine As Art'. The Mannings and all team members follow the same ethic of 'Perfect is Good Enough'. We offer a selection of venues nestled on our almost 100 acre land holding which is planted with 5 Vineyards of Vinifera grapes, a mature 1000 tree apple orchard, and acres of fields planted with a variety of crops that provide an ever-changing natural landscape of beauty year round. We are known for our Rustic Barn which is an original timber framed post-and-beam dry goods barn, built in 1826 with stone from the Erie Canal. This structure has been preserved, yet modernized with ladies and gents bathrooms, a large deck, and is handicap accessible. There is a raised stage where the Bridal Party can see and be seen. This is a perfect venue for a wedding ceremony, dinner and dancing, with the barn doors swung wide open. Our 13,000 square foot building includes an elegant Tasting Room with a floating maple ceiling, stone accented walls and bamboo flooring. Artist and winery owner 'Sean' Manning, collaborated with renowned glass artist, Chuck Boux, to hand blow the colorful glass disks which front the pair of granite-topped bars. There is a covered patio overlooking the vineyards and adjoining lawn areas. The Barrel & Production Room is visible from the Tasting Room through a floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall panel of glass, with glass doors leading into this double height space lined with stainless steel tanks, oak barrels that can be backlit, a wine-themed painted floor and original art. The Vineyards are very popular at any time of the year for an authentic winery experience. There is a selection of locations overlooking the vineyards available for an open air ceremony, and we can accommodate any size of tent for larger gatherings. Freedom Run Winery is a venue like no other in our area. We were able to have the winery all to ourselves on our wedding day, no other events or tasting room patrons. The views and various buildings (tasting room and patio, vineyard house, and barn) provided the perfect backdrops for our events and photos.However, you will need to put in some more work and possibly rent items to make your special day perfect. I would also recommend hiring a day of coordinator if you are having your ceremony and reception at the winery. We rented farm tables, ceremony arch, barrel tables, linens, etc., and had a day of coordinator. The coordinator was a must for us because we utilized three areas at the winery. Our ceremony was outside by the vines, cocktail hour in the tasting room, and reception at the barn. Having the coordinator to run items between these locations was a must. It allowed us to enjoy our day. Renting the vineyard house helped as well, it gave us a place to store décor for the ceremony and cocktail hour, to organize for the walk down the aisle, and for our family and friends in the wedding to gather, eat, relax, and get ready. I think renting the house is a must! There were multiple staff and management changes at the winery while planning our wedding, but luckily Michelle stepped in when she saw we needed a consistent person to make sure all of our details were followed and promises from the winery kept. This action ended our worry and any confusion. Michelle made planning so much easier and stress free, and she was a true champion for us. Mark later joined Michelle as our wedding approached, he handled all of the bar items and assisted Michelle with coordinating other details at the venue. They worked well as a team. My advice to new brides would be to communicate with Michelle and Mark, your planning will go more smoothly. Michelle also helped us decide on table placement in the barn, and even gave us décor ideas. Our reception was more beautiful because of her input.Michelle's catering company (Ava's Table at the Vineyard) provided the food for our rehearsal and wedding day. She also was our contact for renting the vineyard house. People are still talking about the food weeks later. The quality, unique menu (Michelle let us customize), and service timing were all top notch. Our wedding was attended by people in the restaurant business, and those guests purposely found Michelle and her chef (Sarah) to compliment them on their food and service. It was a meal you expect for two at a five star restaurant and they pulled it off for an entire wedding. Michelle was also a great and flexible house rental host. Lupe who lead the house and barn cleaning efforts was great to work with and made sure both looked beautiful.In the end our wedding day was perfect, it is a day we and our families and friends will always remember. In comparison to other types of venues, it was more work to set up everything the days before and more costly because of the rentals and day of coordinator services. However, we think it was worth every minute and dollar.

Freedom Run is phenomenal! The rustic barn is absolutely stunning, and the staff was amazing! Very helpful all night and through out the whole planning process! All in all they were a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend using Freedom Run Winery for your venue needs!

The staff at Freedom Run were wonderful the day of our wedding. Everyone was extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure things went smoothly. When booking, we had detailed packages to choose from. There are multiple areas you can utilize on the property from the tasting room to the vineyards to the rustic barn. We chose to hold our ceremony in the barn, have a tented dinner to accommodate our guest list, and then the dancing and bar was held inside the barn and on the deck outside. The only thing we noted in the planning process was that we didn't have a consistent contact throughout our journey as staff changed a bit in the winery. Some things did not get communicated from one person to another. I would definitely recommend hiring a day of coordinator to help with the timeline and details for your big day since one is not provided by the venue. We did choose to take advantage of catering through Avas table as well. There was one small mess up on the menu but it ended up working in our favor as all of our guests raved about the meal. Overall, this is a beautiful venue and I would highly recommend.

Great overall experience, surpassed all expectations. The venue was beautiful, the staff even better. My only complaint is that I could not eat anymore food because it was so good. I would highly recommend Freedom Run Winery.
