Celebrate in historic Valley Forge ballroom

Unforgettable wedding memories begin with family and friends as you celebrate in our glass ballroom "Galleria" nestled into the historic campus of the Freedoms Foundation in Valley Forge. Unique and charming, this ballroom will seat over 180 guests comfortably and features panoramic views of the rolling hillsides and the campus rose gardens. Two outside patios allow extra room for cocktails and mingling. A spacious area in the grande entrance way provides ample room for a wedding ceremony or cocktail and appetizer period. In the evening, the ballroom sparkles in candlelight and can be decorated as simply or as elaborately as you desire. Plenty of room for dancing with a DJ or live band, photo booth, candy table and more. Our catering team specializes in weddings.

I had a \"Celebration of Marriage\" party for my daughter and her husband who eloped last year. Everything from the room setup to the food was fantastic! It was even better than we expected. Michael and Andy were very responsive and very accommodating with last minute requests. Highly recommend Valley Forge Catering at Freedoms Foundation.

Michael and Andy were fantastic to work with. They were very easy to communicate with and attentive to all of our needs and wants for our wedding. We had several guests tell us they made some of the best wedding food they had ever had! The staff were incredibly attentive. The venue itself is older but is beautiful with a little bit of dressing up. The grounds were perfect for our outdoor ceremony and photos. They were willing to work with us on pretty much anything we wanted which was really cool. I would get married there again any day!!

If I could review more than 5 stars I totally would!Michael and Andi were such a pleasure to work with. They really made our day feel so special and the venue looked amazing! We had so many compliments and the staff were so attentive. My husbands uncle commented, “My glass was never empty. That’s pretty good!” I’d say that’s pretty amazing!The food was out of this world! Andi’s menu was spectacular and he turned our basic favorite foods into an elevated dish. Michael was fantastic with keeping us on track leading up to the day. They truly care about their clients and want them to feel special on the day.Thank you again for such a beautiful event.

It was clear after our first meeting with Michael and Andy that they were the team we wanted! They were professional, friendly, personable, fun, and incredibly knowledgeable. Not only are they EXPERTS, but they were compellingly passionate about making our event specially tailored to our needs and wants. For example, my extended family comes from Australia, so Michael and Andy went above and beyond making special vegemite-based appetizers. I cannot overstate enough how delicious all the food was! Do not settle for mundane wedding food or mediocre service, hire Michael and Andy!

We were planning a wedding in less than a year, And stumbled upon this venue. The pricing was better than any other nearby locations, And while they provide excellent servers and bar service, you bring your own alcohol so that ends up costing a lot less than it would otherwise. They aren't booked up every day of the week like some venues, so we were able to go in the day before to set up, and didn't need to get everything out until the day after. The food was excellent, and I can't say enough about the servers and bar tenders. Michael is very quick to answer emails with questions, and will be very straight forward about what can and cant be done there. The location is right next to Valley Forge park, so we got the permit to do our photos at the George Washington Chapel 3 minutes up the road. I'd recommend this venue to anyone.

Michael and Andy, from start to finish were amazing! I have heard so many of my friends complain about their wedding experiences and I was worried going into it. I decided right away after meeting Michael and Andy that I wanted to work with them for our big day. Their genuine desire to make our day as easy as possible for us in a very uneasy time was evident from the first meeting to the day of the wedding. Everyone of our guests were blown away by the attentiveness of the staff, the detail. and of course the AMAZING menu! I cannot boast about them enough-- they made everything go so smoothly. They were also so generous and flexible when it came to all of the changes with the COVID spikes. We could not have asked for a better experience! THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH!!!

The service at both events was complete, professional and caring. And the food was great! I got several compliments from my guests.

Valley Forge Catering at The Freedoms Foundation goes above and beyond. They communicated with us regularly and took the time to go over every detail of our wedding ahead of time. They learned about us as a couple and we felt cared for like family, not just a client. Andy and Michael both put their hearts as well as their talent into planning our special day. Our guests were fully accommodated, and our vegan guests commented it is the best Vegan Wellington they ever had. When we came from our wedding ceremony to the dinner we knew everything would be in place and there was absolutely nothing to worry about. The servers were personable, professional, and welcoming. The food served at our wedding did not taste mass produced, it was incredibly delicious and fresh. If you are planning a wedding, special event, or memorial service and you want a caterer who takes pride in their work and really cares about your experience, I highly recommend Valley Forge Catering. They are the best!

We had a wonderful experience with Valley Forger Catering Company. They were very responsive to each and every question we had, and were very accommodating with whatever details we wanted. Our guests raved about the food and kept bringing up how impressed they were with the service - their drinks never went empty! They let you make essentially any menu you would like for your wedding. We had a difficult time making up our minds, but they are loaded with suggestions that are sure to be a hit for any group. Michael and Andy have so many years of experience working on wedding (and other) events that they are sure to lead you in the right direction.I fell in love with the views from inside the Galleria with all of its windows. There are gorgeous greenery views on one side, and a pleasant patio on the other side with pretty landscaping and flowers. I searched through so many venues in the greater Philadelphia area before finding this place. The beauty of the venue for the price we paid was insane and, as far as I know, cannot be topped.The only area that we thought could have been improved was that the logistics of what needed to be done on the day of (ie when to start cleaning up, take food home, etc) were not very clear. I would recommend reviewing that more closely when going through the planning with them. Other than that, we had an excellent experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go with them again.

I was thrilled to use Valley Forge Catering for my daughter's rehearsal dinner and Sunday brunch. (We didn't know about them earlier when we planned the wedding). Andy and Michael are a fabulous team! They are highly experienced, extremely responsive, creative, warm, talented and great fun to work with! They accommodated Covid policies, allergen restrictions absolutely anything else needed. The food was scrumptious and beautifully presented and served! I very highly recommend them for your celebrations!!! Five stars are not enough. I give them 10 stars!

I have been blessed with many wonderful vendors during this chaotic pandemic wedding season. However, the Freedoms Foundation and the Valley Forge Catering Company clearly stand out as the reason why, through these uncertain times, I had my absolute perfect wedding day. I am active duty Army, so I had to plan my wedding from a distance. Combine that with the changing situation regarding the pandemic, and I was overwhelmed. But after meeting Mike and Andy, I knew I was fine. I used to go to the Freedoms Foundation as a kid for their educational camps and always loved its beautiful scenery and memorials to our military. The groves and historic buildings made for a lovely backdrop where my guests could even learn some things about our nation. It felt like I came full circle returning here as an adult and as a Soldier, to get married. Originally I had planned to get married at the Valley Forge Chapel and just do a reception here at FF. Mike was great at working with me and the chapel to help coordinate it. However, when the pandemic caused us to lose the chapel, Mike helped us re-do our vision to include their beautiful lobby as our ceremony location. It was perfect for my guests, as right after the ceremony their wonderful staff brought out tables and held the cocktail hour right there. And then guests moved right down the hallway to the open ballroom with a lovely view of rolling hills and a big American flag! The guests were grateful for the convenience. But if I backtrack to even before the ceremony, due to the pandemic my guest counts, food requests, and just overall planning kept shifting and changing. Mike was just so amazing at responding quickly and working with the FF to be flexible to our changing plans. I could not believe how flexible and accommodating they are. It made me comfortable that no matter how much of my wedding deviates from my original vision, it will be wonderful. Mike talked to us a like an old friend, sharing meals he was preparing with his wife while in quarantine. And who better to help execute your wedding than old friends?! The food was amazing and absolutely gourmet. Again, as a credit to their flexibility, they even served the homemade lumpia my mother made, which for us is a Filipino tradition. She was besides herself seeing HER food on serving plates carried by wait staff. That was a little detail that I appreciated so much. My guests gushed and said the food was some of the best they have ever had at a wedding. They said wedding can have a cafeteria-feel to the taste and presentation. They wanted more of VF Catering though! Big credit to Andy for helping me figure out what I wanted by giving me a VERY detailed gourmet menu of meals he has prepared in the past and was particularly good at. And the filet mignon he prepared for me special as the bride is still one of the best I have ever had. And I have been stationed in Texas and Oklahoma, so that is no easy feat! Lastly, I appreciate FF and VF Catering, especially Mike and Andy, being very cognizant of COVID-19 mitigation policies and being mindful of keeping everyone healthy. The tables were socially distanced with far fewer guests than I wanted pre-pandemic, but their design of the ballroom and the venue made the wedding feel full. It did not feel like a compromise wedding. It was perfect, and FF and VF Catering are perfect. I am so emotional and grateful that the universe aligned me with them for these interesting and chaotic times. 100% recommend!

Mike and Andy made our whole wedding a breeze. We originally had the date picked for April but due to the pandemic they worked with us to get the date changed to October. Day of the wedding came and we couldn't have been happier with the results. Food was spectacular, the staff was very courteous and kind, our glasses were never empty and our hearts are full. BEST DAY EVER. All thanks to Michael and Andy! We had our wedding at Freedoms on 10/12/19! From the moment we set foot on the campus we were in love. The venue is spectacular. They have many different options for where you can have your ceremony and the Galleria made for a perfect reception hall. We had SO many people compliment us on how beautiful the grounds were, how lovely the lobby (cocktail hour) looked, and everyone was blown away by the Galleria space. I must've heard \"we had no idea this place existed, but it's stunning!\" a million times that day. Michael and Andy easily made our wedding day! The food was OUTSTANDING! Everyone was raving about it! Definitely not your typical wedding food! My husband, Ben, and I were well-taken care of by Michael and the rest of the staff the entire evening. Michael and Andy helped us through all the details of the wedding from the food to the decor and everything in between. If I could do it all over again, I would 100% do it at Freedoms!

Mike and Andy are definitely a pleasure to work with. I've never worked with a catering vendor before in my life, and I'm a bit nervous regarding all the food and such because I've heard some bad stories regarding wedding food. However, Mike and Andy are absolute professionals and they let us taste their food prior to signing our contract. We were very satisfied with the food, particularly the salmon and Buffalo chicken, and we decided to go with them for our wedding catering. At the day of our wedding, not only did we have a nice full open bar for all guests, but also nice Chinese miso soup that we did not expect to be that good, good enough that our friends and family from China almost ate them all as soon as the banquet started. And the signature drink though, I can only say WOW: so good, so fruity, and is absolutely my personal favorite (I'll try to make it at home, but I doubt it will be that good)!!!!Overall, I would highly recommend any couple who has high standards of catering food to contact Mike and Andy, particularly the ones who chose Washington Memorial Chapel and the White Library as the venue because Mike and Andy know the place more than anyone else and they know how to make your special day even more spectabular!Cheers,Tina & Will

What can I say, Mike and Andy did everything right. We have zero complaints, as everything went fantastically. They worked with us through thick and thin. They reminded us of things when we forgot, kept us on schedule, and they worked with us when we surprised them. They know how to hold a fantastic event and cause no stress, even when we cause them stress. The food is seriously some of the best we have had, let alone at a large event. Our guests raved about the fish, potatoes, pork belly, lamb chops, it would be easier to list things that weren't raved about. The staff was also extremely friendly. A few of our guests were very elderly or disabled, and I've been told that they felt very welcomed. Our guest in a wheelchair said she has never been taken care of as they did for her, and she greatly appreciated the lengths they went to help her. Mike and the staff also made sure we were taken care of throughout the night as well. I cannot stress how much they worked with us to make everything perfect. They were not afraid to show us why something we wanted might be a bad idea, but also would do it if we wanted. When we have another event that needs catering, we will not be looking anywhere else, as I don't think there is better.

We had a great experience at Freedoms. The venue is beautiful. The food is delicious. The service is excellent. Andy and Michael and great chefs and make the process of planning easy and smooth. They will make anything you ask for. We asked for a spam appetizer and they made it. They also made great suggestions for how to get everything we needed along the way. We had to pay for our own alcohol, wedding cake, and venue insurance, but ultimately we paid less than what we would've paid at other more inclusive venues. By the end of the night, our families were thrilled with the food and the view from the galleria. We had a night to remember and if we could get married all over again and have another reception at Freedoms we would.

This venue is a hidden gem. We got married in the grove. It took a lot of self planning/logistics. However the actual $ for the venue was super cheap. We were the last wedding to get married in the grove but all of the grounds are beautiful. The real star of this venue is the catering team Valley Forge Caterers Mike and Andy. They were amazing from first impressions until day of and days later. (we are pals). They really make you feel like friends. They go above and beyond, their food is outstanding, simple, non pretentious, elegant, generous, delicious. They can be as basic or elaborate as you want. We did a cocktail style reception with TONS of food. Cocktail hour, stations, desserts, and munchies at end. They worked great with other vendors, gave wonderful advice and options/opinions because they know the space perfectly. Attention to detail was on point and everyone raved about the food. We supplied our own liquor which was great. They mixed signature drinks for us and those were a hit as well. We do not have enough good things we could say about both of them. Super friendly, down to earth, reasonable, professional, no fuss, take care of everything. The day of the entire staff was fantastic and friendly. Bar tenders were also fast, and fun. We can go on and on. Highly highly highly recommend and are even thinking of doing 1 year anniversary party there because the party was such a hit! WE LOVE MIKE & ANDY. You are silly not to use them!

Valley Forge Catering was the best decision we could have made for our wedding! The venue itself is beautiful and spacious, with views overlooking a valley of trees of one side and an adorable brick patio on the other. There's a separate lobby for cocktail hour and tons of options for an outdoor ceremony! The owners, Michael and Andy are wedding professionals who will take care of you like you're family. Michael was amazing with day of coordination, getting people to transition to dinner, and overall ensuring the wedding flowed beautifully! While Andy made the most delicious food, his French culinary background really shined through. All our guests raved about the meal for months afterwards! Together they are simply a brilliant team that balances expertise in their field with the heart and care you'd wish to find on your big day.Our experience was nothing short of amazing; if you don't want a cookie cutter wedding package go with Valley Forge Catering. Michael and Andy will work with you to have your dream wedding, while still being more affordable than the pre-packaged places. And most importantly THE FOOD IS SO GOOD!

If you are looking for the wedding you've been pinning before you even met the mate then this is your place! Andy and Mike do not treat you as a sale, they treat you as a person who has a vision for a day that begins a new chapter in life. They listen to your thoughts, and help you to truly envision this day. They had ideas for my ideas and brought their years of expertise to the table for the better. We had the most perfect day and not only because the rain only lasted for a few hours. Andy, Mike and the entire team put me at such ease. They knew what I needed before I needed it, they kept me abreast to the schedule and overall I never had to worry about a thing because they definitely had it under control. The staff was phenomenal, one of the most professional I've seen even in comparison to other weddings and country clubs. They made every guest feel important, and treated them like a member of their family. I cannot say enough, and thank you is not even close to what I want to say to express my gratitude. My husband and I were sold from the first meeting(him for the price and me for knowing we'd have the wedding of the year) even to the point that I changed my date which I vowed not to change because I knew we would have the perfect experience and we did. It's only been 15 days but the amount of texts that we got complimenting the food, service and venue were overwhelming and special.

I don't think there are enough words to describe how amazing Mike and Andy are! Our wedding was on 10/6/18. From the moment we toured in July of 2017, our taste test in December and then the wedding day they made sure everything was perfect. They were easy to get into contact whenever we needed them. They did not beat around the bush either. We are extremely happy with how Mike and Andy put so much effort into making sure our day was perfect. If you need a caterer no matter the occasion these guys are the way to go!!

There are so many good things to say about Michael, Andy and their incredible staff!!! From the very first telephone call to inquire about Valley Forge Catering Company's services to the day of our wedding on April 28, 2018 and even chatting after our wedding. The professionalism, attention to detail, the warmth, the laughs, the beautiful unique venue and the food! Oh the food! So delicious. When researching caterer's to potentially have our reception at our new home, I came across Valley Forge Catering Company. After meeting with Michael and Andy at the Freedom's Foundation at Valley Forge, we just loved the venue and felt very welcomed and at ease with Michael and Andy. We looked at other venues/caterers and didn't get the same vibe. We are so happy with our choice, I can't even put into words. Some members of my family have Celiac Disease, which means they HAVE to be gluten free. Other family members/guests are gluten intolerant or sensitive. When discussing the menu, we discussed gluten free items. At our tasting.... WOW.....they made almost the entire menu 100% gluten free!!! You would never know it! The sauces, the breading and dessert, so delicious! It was so nice that we didn't have to worry about our guests. If they had allergies, you name it, they had it covered! In the planning process any questions, answered. Any concerns, put you at ease. Stressed... joke coming your way. Day of the Reception... flexible. I had the opportunity to meet some of Michael and Andy's staff prior to the day of our reception. Very impressed. That day and the day of our wedding, they couldn't do enough for us or our guests. So pleasant and non-obtrusive, many of our guests mentioned the staff member by name. I said to my husband when we sat at our table, 'I feel like I'm in a dream'. Michael even held the top of our wedding cake in their freezer for a little while as we had forgotten it the night of the reception. Truly wonderful experience!

Andy and Michael from Valley Forge Catering Co. were the dream team! We had our wedding in my parents backyard and they came over several times throughout the year to do a walk through of the house, talk about flow, where the tent would go, linens, rain plans and more! Anything we wanted, they were happy to do! From the food, to extra staff, to our awesome bartenders, they seamlessly managed the whole day. They were great about meeting in person and going through the whole day, our vision, taste testing etc. Even though it's been 3 weeks since the wedding, relatives and friends are still raving to us about the food and the friendly staff. Wouldn't recommend anyone else!

Our wedding at Freedoms Foundation with Valley Forge Catering Company was better than I even imagined! Mike and Andy are great to work with; they care so much about their food and the work they do and it shows. They give great advice and are happy to make your wedding into whatever you want it to be - whether it's recreating a recipe from a restaurant you ate at one time or helping you stick to a minimalist budget, they'll do it for you with a smile and expertise. They pulled everything off without a hitch - the food was amazing (as many of our guests commented), the service was great, and space was gorgeous. They were incredibly accommodating to our guests with special dietary needs - even asking ahead of time what tables they would be sitting at to make sure they felt comfortable and ate well. If I ever need to throw another big party, I know who to call - I certainly recommend working with Mike and Andy any day of the week and hope to do so again someday. Thanks guys!

My husband and I recently married at the Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge Park. Michael and Andy catered our wedding and we haven't stopped talking about it! I must admit I have trouble with giving up control, but Michael and Andy delivered ten-fold and truly made us feel like family. If you're considering them for your wedding, look no further. Seriously...stop looking ;) The room looked beautiful and the food was absolutely wonderful. All our guest raved about it. We truly appreciate Michael's and Andy's efforts to make our day perfect. We can't say enough good things about this venue and caterers Michael and Andy. All of guests loved the food and beautiful lobby and reception area. We used the chapel, which was absolutely wonderful. These caterers are gracious hosts, didn't cut corners, worked with us to make the day specialized for us. The servers and bartenders were friendly and professional.

The Freedoms Foundation was the perfect venue for our fall wedding. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was out of this world. Valley Forge Catering Company was more than just a caterer. They were the perfect wedding planners and most wonderful people to work with for my special day! People are still talking about our wedding and want us to host another party there because they had so much fun and the food was top notch. I can't convey how happy we are that we had our wedding at the Freedoms Foundation with the Valley Forge Caterers... It made our special day PERFECT!

I cannot say enough good things about Mike and Andy to explain how amazing my experience was with them at Freedoms Foundation. Out of all my vendors, they were the most prepared, competent, and approachable. I truly can say that they made my wedding the most memorable experiences.Now to the food...THE FOOD!!!!! I had multiple guests say they were blown away by the food, which did not surprise me at all. One vegetarian guest told Andy this was the first wedding she had been to where the green beans had been seasoned. Of course, Andy and his crew seasoned them perfectly. As a bride, Mike ensured that I was always fed and had a glass in my hand (even when doing pictures). He remembered how both my husband and I liked our steak, which I didn't know he did! I was so busy talking to guests that he brought out our plates from the buffet stations with medium rare for my husband and medium well for me. It is a small thing like that, which puts these two over the top.My one piece of advice for brides looking at the venue: don't overlook it because it isn't your average ballroom or cocktail hour location. It is truly unique and special, which allows people to talk and converse about your unique choice! Let Andy and Mike help you plan your amazing day because you will NOT be disappointed!!!!!! If I could, I would give them 5000 stars, not just 5.

This is a beautiful venue with extraordinary views of Valley Forge Mountain. The grounds are picturesque and will provide a beautiful setting for an outdoor cocktail hour or photos. It truly is a hidden gem! Valley Forge Caterers, the on-site caterers, created a delicious, customized menu that won rave reviews from our guests. They also provided catering services for our rehearsal dinner with another fun, custom menu of Philly favorites. Pricing was reasonable for the excellent quality and presentation and the team at Valley Forge Catering was extremely accommodating. The excellent food, beautiful high ceilings and great views make this venue a very special location for any event.

My husband and I live near Valley Forge and were excited to find such a gorgeous venue near the national park. Andy and Michael went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect day. They helped us figure out menus, and layout which was perfect since we were clueless. They stayed in contact well, emailing and calling us with updates. They were there the whole day of the event, and were happy and excited. The servers were fantastic, making sure we ate which was necessary. They took care of everything from set up to tear down. Well worth every penny, I highly recommend them!

I had Valley Forge Catering Company cater our wedding at the Valley Forge Freedom Foundation on October 22nd 2016. I am giving them a 5-star rating because they were easy to work with, they went above and beyond to make our day special, the food was amazing and so was the service. It has been almost two weeks since our wedding and I am still having guests call about how awesome the food and service was. If I ever need another event catered I will be calling Valley Forge Catering Company and I think you should too! Andy, Mike and their staff provide 5-Star service for a great price. :)

We had a great experience working with Andy & Michael! They were great with communication throughout the planning process, and on the day of the wedding, they made sure we had nothing to worry about.On top of that, the food was fantastic - they let us totally customize our menu and helped coach us toward what options went best together!Only critique would be that they take check only. Would have been nice if they had Square for credit cards - tough to spend so much money and earn no points.

Andy & Michael were WONDERFUL! They treated us like a priority and old friends. They made an immense effort to make our event special and personal. They were accessible, attentive, knowledgable, and flexible. They even won over all 4 sets of our parents (no easy feat!)Now to the food. It was DELICIOUS! They gave us detailed descriptions of their specialties and suggestions for the type of event we wanted and the best bang for our buck. We got rave compliments on the food months after our wedding. No rubber chicken for us! Even the pigs n' blankets were top notch.I will sing their praises always!

Valley Forge Catering is amazing! From the presentation to the taste, it was the most talked about at my wedding. Although the venue did not have air conditioning at the time, it didn't keep my guests from filling up with amazing food and hitting the dance floor all night! Andy and Mike are incredible and so accommodating. I especially loved how easy they were to work with and how they really make a menu designed around your likes and dislikes. It was NO WHERE NEAR \"generic\" wedding food.

Andy and Michael were fantastic caterers for our wedding! From the initial meeting to discuss options and through the process of planning the entire event, they were extremely helpful, resourceful, and always found a way to help us get the information and details that we needed to make our day special and memorable. Their staff on the day was also wonderful - tactfully zooming around with appetizers and drinks and cleaning up dishes and glasses stealthily during the dinner. The variety and quality of our dinner options was top notch and the bananas foster was rated as the best dessert some of our guests had ever had! Highly recommended.

The Freedoms Foundation was a great ceremony and reception venue! We chose to have our ceremony near the George Washington Statue and the reception was held in the ballroom. They were both amazingly beautiful sites! The weather was perfect and the ceremony was all that I imagined it to be! The ballroom is surrounded by windows that allow you to overlook Valley Forge Park and was perfect for my fall wedding. I am so happy that we found this gem, it made my wedding truly memorable for all of my guests and especially me and hubby!

As dynamos in the catering and restaurant industry, Andy and Michael have been the lead chef and organizer for hundreds of weddings over the past 20 years. As general manager of the former Inn at Yellow Springs, Andy has vast experience in executing beautiful wedding menus from start to finish. It takes a special chef to be able to meet the demands and schedules and, sometimes, unforseen changes that come on a wedding day. Michael has over 30 years experience in the high end restaurant service industry. His attention detail in front of the house assures that your day will be flawless.
