Frolic & Detour is a full-service wedding venue, located on the edge of Nagog Pond, in historic Acton, MA. Just 20 miles outside of Boston, Frolic & Detour is 35 minutes from Wachusett Mountain, down the road from Nashoba Valley Ski Area, and minutes from other historic towns like Concord, Littleton, Westford, and Groton. With beautiful views of the pond (home to "George" the turtle), and of Nagog Reservoir, Frolic & Detour boasts two outdoor spaces overlooking the water, and 5 distinct indoor spaces, making it a perfect location for both intimate gatherings, and large celebrations. From ceremonies and receptions, to wedding showers, rehearsal dinners, bachelor & bachelorette parties, wedding brunches and welcome receptions, Frolic & Detour has the perfect space for your festivities. Frolic & Detour's unique deck house architecture, with its huge double-story fireplace, full upstairs and downstairs bars, lounge, dining and dance areas, indoor and outdoor seating, and high beam ceilings, will charm your guests and create a memorable backdrop to your celebrations. You may reserve the entire venue for your event, or reserve one or more of its spaces, depending on the nature of your gathering. The first floor of F&D is comprised of the Bistro Dining Room with access to our 3 season porch, a fireplace with adjoining lounge area, and the Pub & Bar. The Bistro Dining Room is our most traditional dining space and has a dining capacity of up to 75. It is attached to our 3 season porch, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water. It is a lovely place for cocktails or for a smaller gathering, and can be added to the Bistro for additional seating capacity. Our Pub & Bar is our most casual space and is ideal for cocktail hour or dancing. At its center is a beautiful full-service oak bar with 17 beers on tap, craft cocktails, and well-curated wines. The Loft & Cottage comprise the entire second floor of the building. The Loft is our largest space with a dining capacity of 130. It's high-beam ceiling, enormous fireplace and full-service bar, make the Loft a truly unique and lovely space. The Cottage is also located on the second floor. It is our most intimate space, with a dining capacity of 13, and makes a wonderful bridal suite. If you're interested in outdoor options, we have two wonderful spaces. The Deck is on the first floor of the building, and overlooks Nagog Pond.. The deck has a dining capacity of 25, and is a gorgeous spot for cocktail hours, ceremonies, and for your guests to enjoy during the reception. The Yard is located on the far side of the building, and is situated on the water's edge, with a giant evergreen tree at it's center. It is adorned with twinkle lights and two fire pits, and has the capacity for various sized tents. Congratulations from everyone here at Frolic & Detour!
