We are so happy we chose to have our wedding at Fruitlands Museum. The view alone is so stunning but the day-of staff made our wedding extraordinary. Throughout the planning process, we worked with Laura who is the coordinator through Fireside. She was very easy going and helped us create our dream wedding. The event manager Shaun and attendants who worked our 10/8 wedding provided the most incredible service. They were on-top of every single detail, organized and so kind. Everything ran so smoothly and it truly just felt like a dream. We had guests rave about the service that was truly the best we’ve experienced at any wedding. The food— phenomenal. It was so delicious, all of our guests raved about the quality of the meal. We all know the couple rarely gets to sit down and enjoy their meals but we got the opportunity to sit and eat because of how wonderful and timely the service was. our attendant Shannon brought us snacks and champagne to the bridal suite and appetizers during cocktail hour photos and worked tirelessly the whole night to make sure we had every thing we could possibly need. She was AMAZING. Her timing was impeccable and would meet us on the dance floor with a drink so we didn’t have to stop the fun. We are so grateful to the entire staff and couldn’t be happier with our experience of having our wedding at the Fruitlands museum. Reviewed on 25-11-2023

The Fruitlands Museum was the most perfect venue for us. We had a medium-large sized wedding with 150 guests. The spaces were perfect to accomodate our crew: from the ceremony on the lawn to the reception under the tent. The tented reception was complete with space for our 6-member band and dance floor. We also got super lucky with weather (it was pretty perfect) but even in the rain it would have been gorgeous)! Food was great, drinks were great, and the staff above all were so kind, attentive, and organized. A note for our coordinator, Laura. Since I did not use a personal event planner, I was so lucky to have Laura be our Sales Director for the event. Laura is both organized and flexible and was able to accomodate even our quirkiest of requests. Many thanks to Laura and the Fireside Catering team!!! Reviewed on 11-10-2023

We fell in love with the venue when we drove onto the property. The views are stunning no matter what season! We imagined having our ceremony on the grassy knoll but weather intervened and instead we had an absolutely magical ceremony under the tent amidst the rains, thunder and lightening! Laura Blessington, Sales Director and Wedding Coordinator Aficionado for Fruitlands Museum was so lovely to work with as she is attentive, warm and informative and fun! The food (Fireside Catering) was exactly as we hoped - delicious - and our guests concurred! Would definitely recommend getting married (or having any event really) at Fruitlands Museum! Fruitlands Museum is a stunning venue and the food from Fireside Catering was so delicious. The team at Fireside Catering was so respectful of our guest’s dietary restrictions and everyone was raving about the food. Laura, the event coordinator at Fruitlands is the most wonderful person ever, she’s the nicest and easiest person to work with. she was so helpful throughout the entire planning process. She responded timely, answered every single question I had, and provided me with peace of mind. I was not stressed at all planning the wedding because of how organized Laura is, she made the process so easy. It was raining on and off on our wedding day so we ended up having our ceremony inside of the tent instead of outside on the hill and the team transitioned from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception so seamlessly. The entire team at Fruitlands was so kind and attentive. We could not imagine having our wedding anywhere else. This is the most perfect all inconclusive venue and event team you could find. Laura and the entire staff at Fruitlands and Fireside Catering were incredible to work with. Leading up to our wedding, we were met with flexibility, professionalism, and an easygoing attitude that made the whole wedding planning process incredibly seamless. It's hard to imagine going through it without them!My husband and I got married on one of the few rainy days in May. Laura and her staff made sure the rain plan went off without any issue and you would've thought that that was the original plan all along. Many may choose to get married at Fruitlands for its outdoor scenery, but we were able to have an a stunningly beautiful and perfect wedding day while still staying dry. Our guests have not stopped singing the praises of our rainy day wedding since the date. Don't let the possibility of rainy weather deter you from choosing to get married here! The food was incredible and our guests were very impressed with the options and details to each course. The burrata bar was an especially big hit for guests of all ages and people are still talking about it. Many people say that they were unable to eat on their wedding day due to the business and feeling overwhelmed throughout the day - but the food was so good my husband and I couldn't say no!I could not imagine getting married at any other venue, and a large part of that is because of Laura and her entire staff. Kat our contact - the Sales Director for Fireside Catering | Fruitlands Museum | The Barn at Gibbet Hill was amazing and made the process as seamless as possible (I did not have a wedding planner). I saw the venue in the dead of winter and booked it for June 4th, 2021. Michelle, our day of contact was outstanding in getting things set up and keeping the day running smoothly, whilst I was in makeup and essentially partying (I had a great time). It was a wonderful venue, the food was phenomenal and despite some small glitches here and there the wedding went off so extremely smoothly thanks in part to the staff at Fruitlands Museum. The venue is truly gorgeous with incredible foliage in the fall, stunning elevated views (you can see Mount Monadnock in the distance), epic sunset and a beautiful tent complete with elegant lighting. We got stunning wedding photos and our guests also loved getting amazing photos with the foliage and the incredible sunset too. Tim and the staff at Fireside catering were fantastic, they did a really great job of ensuring the safety of our micro wedding. We were nervous about having a wedding during the pandemic, but us and our guests felt very safe and comfortable with everything the staff did to ensure everyone's safety. Victoria Selesnick(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-10-2019 We could not have picked a better venue for our wedding than Fruitlands! As the last wedding of their season (10/26/19) we were a little worried that the staff might have been a bit fatigued to work our event after staffing so many other weddings, but we were completely proved wrong! There are really just so many great things about Fruitlands, so I'll try to limit it to just a few...- Tim is AMAZING. Seriously, he made the whole planning process so smooth by keeping us organized with all of the necessary decisions, offering his very experienced opinion when we asked, and always being available and responsive when things came up. Even the day before our wedding we had a few last-minute issues, but Tim figured everything out behind the scenes and the reception was executed flawlessly. Really the whole staff at Fruitlands are incredible, and they made us feel like our wedding was the first wedding of the season for them, based on their hospitality and attention to details.- The beauty of the venue - I mean COME ON it's gorgeous! We were insanely lucky because the weather gods behaved on our day and we were able to have our ceremony outside, with a beautiful sunset and fall foliage as our backdrop :) Even the inside option is pretty- the clear siding of the tent allows you to see the amazing views.- The food is delicious! Fireside Catering does not disappoint, and each of their dishes are the highest quality (without being too fancy/pretentious). We also visited the restaurants that are part of the same restaurant group, Gibbet Hill and the Bancroft, you know for \"research,\" and found they were all fantastic. One drawback of the venue:- If you go with Fruitlands, you will need to keep in mind that you won't be able to host other weekend events on the property (due to it being a public museum and because of other weddings) and the closest hotels are about 15 minutes away. So it may require a little bit of creativity and extra time to consider where you would like to host the other events of your wedding weekend and where to book lodging for your guests. All that being said, definitely book Fruitlands - it will be the BEST!!! Reviewed on 11-01-2020

Grace Gao(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-10-2019 Fruitlands Museum was absolutely the perfect place for me and my husband's wedding! We got married on October 6, 2019. First off, the view and the buildings are absolutely beautiful, and even though our wedding day was cloudy, the ambience was still very bright and green (it was one less thing to worry about, how weather would affect the day). We also really liked the rain alternative to the ceremony place, inside the tent, since you can still see the hilly backdrop (some other venues we saw had a great sunny ceremony site, but a mediocre rainy alternative, and we really didn't want to depend on our actual date being a sunny day). The tent is very simple, well maintained, and classic, and many of our guests complimented us on how nice the tent decor was, and how romantic it felt. The buildings also feel very rustic and woodsy but also very classic, definitely very versatile for whatever style you'd want for your wedding. Second, the food was delicious, like actually amazingly good and by far the best wedding food I've had. We were absolutely taken in at the food tasting months before the wedding, and the day of, the quality was just as we expected. Everything Fireside Catering cooks is also sustainably sourced and locally grown, which was a huge plus as well. Since the catering service comes with renting the venue, we had a lot less to worry about since Fireside Catering took care of everything for us. Third, and probably most importantly, the staff and especially Tim were AMAZING to work with. He responded so quickly to all our emails, was so patient with questions (and repeat questions), and was super friendly and accomodating. Both my husband and I are introverts, but Tim made us feel very comfortable from our very first meeting, and gave us very organized and comprehensive information to help us as we planned our wedding. He was also very honest and straightforward, which I appreciated especially since some other vendors/people we met for our wedding seemed to want to push us to spend as much as possible, while Tim was very aware of our budget limits and gave us tips and tricks to try to save. Our last meeting before our wedding, our brains were starting to fray a little and he went through everything with us and made us feel like we did in fact have it all together, and had nothing to worry about, which really helped and really shows how he goes above and beyond to take care of the couples who get married at Fruitlands. You can have a beautiful venue but sub-par staff that add stress to an already stressful day, which is really something you don't want to have to deal with on your wedding day. Tim and his team were so friendly, knowledgable, available, and helpful, they actually absorbed all the stress away from me and my husband every time we interacted. I would give ten stars if I could, just for our experience with the staff at Fruitlands. They really made all the difference! Reviewed on 27-11-2019

Emily Checkoway(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-06-2019 We were so happy to have our June 2019 wedding at Fruitlands Museum for so many reasons! Event coordination/management: Director of Events, Tim was a big part of making this wedding incredible. We live in Chicago and working with Tim made it so much easier to plan a wedding from 1,000 miles away. An additional staff member helped us with the scheduled events during the ceremony and reception. It rained heavily right before our ceremony and we were able to hold off on making a decision on ceremony location until the last minute. The rain stopped right before guests arrived and the staff dried off the ceremony chairs and tables. When we asked our guests if the chairs were wet, they had no idea it had even rained at the venue! It is also important to note that the staff sets up personal items beautifully (e.g. guest favors, Polaroid photobooth, framed photos, etc.). Venue: The tent with its gathered canopy, chandeliers, and fairy lights was beautiful. The tent also has clear walls that can attach to the ground for inclement weather. The tent attached to the main building that provided additional rooms guests can mingle in, several clean restrooms, and a private bridal suite upstairs. The grounds were beautifully cared for and allowed for guests to check out the surrounding statues, fountains, etc. The overlook onto Nashoba Valley was stunning during the day and night but made for incredible sunset pictures. Food: I think everyone says their wedding has the best food… but Fireside Catering at Fruitlands Museum is truly the best wedding food we’ve ever had! Our pictures are perfect. The menu we chose from had so many fantastic options, we were so happy we could say the food was locally sourced, and every dish we chose received rave reviews from all of our guests. The day of our wedding I was genuinely not anxious about the day's schedule or details because I knew Tim and his team were on top of things -- all I had to do was focus on enjoying my day with my husband and our family and friends, which is really all I could ask for. From the very beginning of our planning process, we knew that we were in good hands with Tim. We were a little overwhelmed with planning a wedding in under 6 months, but the Tim made it easy. Although they did not push them on us, we ended up using several of their suggested vendors and were very happy. On the day of our wedding, everything was perfect. The staff. the scenery, the food, and and venue were absolutely incredible. We know that the Fruitlands has lots of weddings, but they made us feel like ours really was special. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, with a view of Nashoba Valley made even prettier by all of the fall colors. The tent where the reception was held was beautiful, with chandeliers and string lights. Tim, the coordinator, is amazing, and he made the planning process insanely easy. He is very organized, and was consistently in touch with us throughout the process. The other staff on the day-of were also great, and a server brought us hors d'eouvres and drinks after the ceremony while we were taking advantage of the perfect sunset for pictures. The food is delicious (several people told me it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding) and there are so many options to choose from so you can really customize your day based on your budget. Speaking of budget, you get a lot of value for your money. The ceremony took place outside facing the valley with the reception under the tent. Everyone kept coming up to me during the entire reception asking how we found this place because it was so beautiful and people are still calling me saying how great the venue was and how awesome all the food was. We lucked out and had perfect weather so we were able to have the ceremony outside and it was perfect. My husband and I live in TX, so we toured all our potential venues in the same week on a visit. Fruitlands stood out right away, from the beauty (that view!), the practicality (the tent is always up! And it’s heated!) and the professionalism and skill that Tim Holmes and the staff of Fruitlands and Fireside Catering operated with. We had a million questions through the planning process, and Tim was always quick to get back to us with answers. He was organized, calm, upfront with costs, helpful, and overall a very pleasant and cheerful person to work with. The value of what you get at Fruitlands far exceeds most venues in the area. You don’t have to worry about renting chairs or linens, or other equipment, it’s all there. They food is amazing, from the appetizers (they bring you some after the ceremony while you’re taking pics btw so you DO get to enjoy them), to plates of veggies, dips and cheese, to the entrees. We also had two signature cocktails, and the guests loved them. They encourage you to go with some bakeries they have a relationship with, we went with the Bean Counter and it was a delicious and also artfully decorated cake. People told us it was the best wedding cake they had ever had! We also made our own centerpieces, and decor, and dropped things off in advance, and the staff was very skillful in setting everything up. Even though we were planning a wedding from 2,000 miles away, it was as easy as if we were down the street. I cannot recommend Fruitlands enough! Reviewed on 12-02-2018

From the moment we walked on site at Fruitlands, we got a special feeling and knew it was the perfect place for us to to get married. It had the best mix of old, new, rustic, classic (the tent with string lights was incredible!!) and we could make it our own through decorations and flowers but didn’t need much. Fruitlands was so bright, peaceful, welcoming and very romantic ... it truly felt like a hidden gem up in the clouds. Tim Holmes was simply the best to work with. He was so organized, on top of it, helpful, kept us at ease, and you can tell he really loves his job. We felt like we were in such good hands with Tim - he was extremely attentive and thoughtful and no question was out of his realm of knowledge (and I asked a lot!). The food from Fireside Catering was the best food we have ever had at a wedding. While we are biased, we heard from many, many of our guests that it was some of their favorite and most delicious wedding food they have had at weddings. The food tasting ~6 months prior to our wedding was so much fun; we also went to Gibbet Hill (also uses Fireside Catering) with other family later to taste more dishes. Sarah Davey(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-09-2017 If you are planning your wedding and are trying to decide where to hold your reception(and ceremony) just make a list.1. Fruitlands MuseumEnd of list.We cannot express enough how truly excellent it was to have our reception at the Fruitlands Museum (We had our ceremony off-site but they offer that as well). There are many fantastic things about Fruitlands.1. The view. The view is absolutely breathtaking. The scenery/view is what initially sold us on Fruitlands before learning about everything else.2. SO much is included and provided. We had a friend get married elsewhere and they had to make arrangements for tables, chairs, silverware, etc, etc - this is ALL included within the reception package. They take care of EVERYTHING and are VERY accommodating to help you achieve the perfect day.3. The Food - Fruitlands uses a catering service (Fireside) that provides their food. Months later, many of our guests have reminded us JUST how good the food was. The passed hors d'oeuvres especially fried mac and cheese bites, zucchini fritters, and more - they were a huge hit. Additionally, they use two separate bakeries to provide the cake. You just set up a cake tasting with both bakeries and decide which one you want to go with. Both bakeries were VERY nice and both delicious. We went with Bean Counter Bakery (who also provide a brand new cake topper on your one year anniversary - free of charge).4. The Staff:4A. The Planner - Tim Holmes - Director of Catering and Sales. We really can't say enough nice things about Tim Holmes. From the moment we first reached out to him about having our reception at Fruitlands, to the day of our wedding, he was incredibly accommodating, easy-going, quickly responsive to emails, very willing to work with us and have our wedding be as we've been dreaming. He showed us his folder of many, many other weddings he is currently involved in planning yet, among all of those weddings, he still made us feel special, unique, and that we were the most important wedding that he was planning. Now, I'm sure he made all of the couples feel that way - which just speaks to the true testament of the work Tim Holmes put in to make our day possible. 4B. The Day Of Staff - The days before the wedding, we dropped off various things - lawn games, table settings, pictures, etc. We showed the staff what we'd like one place setting to look at, and how the center piece should be set up. Then they took that information and set up the entire venue - perfectly. Everything looked amazing and they truly did a fantastic job. They were also very prompt and professional throughout the cocktail hour and reception. 5. Working with other vendors - Fruitlands seamlessly flowed with the other vendors we had coming onsite - photo/video/music etc - without any issue at all.As you can tell, I honestly feel like I could go on and on about how incredibly lucky we feel to have had our Wedding Reception at the Fruitlands Museum. I could have made that list much longer and touched on the finer details of the incredible work the staff did and how great the venue was - I didn't think I would hit the limit of the \"3500 character limit\" but here we are! We highly recommend visiting it when trying to make your choice. The pictures are amazing but do not truly do it justice. We can honestly say that the worst part of having our reception at the Fruitlands Museum was that it didn't go all night! First the location. Fruitlands is beautiful. We had an outdoor wedding ceremony in their field and it was stunning. Even if it had rained, though, we were really happy with the rain plan, and knew that it would be beautiful regardless. They have great space for getting ready and the indoor tent was perfect for the reception. Second, the staff. Tim, the on-site coordinator, is fantastic. He immediately puts you at ease and responds quickly to email. His guidance was invaluable and he made the entire planning process smooth and painless (for real!). He was very helpful on the day-of and knew exactly what was happening when. The rest of the staff were also incredibly helpful and polite. Third, the food. It was really delicious, and we've received many compliments on it since the wedding. I had been a bit nervous about choosing an inclusive package but it really was fantastic. You have plenty of options to customize the menu and work within whatever budget you want. Fourth - convenience and pricing. As I mentioned before, Tim was invaluable at making the wedding planning process as painless as possible. Having our ceremony and reception at one location kept logistics and travel time to a minimum. Our planning process was simpler and less stressful than some of our friends. We got married October 21st, 2016 and it was a day filled with on and off rain. They set up both the outdoor ceremony and a beautiful area inside the tent just in case it got rained out. The indoor ceremony went so beautifully and I can't believe how cool and pretty it all ended up being during a terrible rain & lightning storm. We planned our wedding in 9 months & the Fruitlands was the very first venue we went to. It was an overcast day in December when we first visited & met with Tim Holmes who was welcoming, relaxed, kind, & knowledgeable from the start. Tim gave us a tour of the Fruitlands & despite the icy rain we fell in love. It was so foggy that we couldn’t even see the view (which is one of the best parts!) but even so, as we drove away we both agreed it was the perfect place for our wedding & didn’t feel like we had to look anywhere else. We loved the Fruitlands because it is unique (we wanted something different than the traditional church ceremony & ballroom reception), it is naturally, stunningly beautiful, the awesome tent is included, & we could customize it to our own tastes. I would have my wedding here over and over one million times. \rWe also liked that Fireside Catering worked with the venue. We were happy that we didn’t have to find an outside company to handle the food, but more importantly it was absolutely DELICIOUS! The food tasting was like eating dinner at your favorite restaurant & knowing the food was such high quality gave us even more of a reason to look forward to our wedding day. We have consistently heard from our guests about how much they enjoyed the food. I only regret that I did not eat MORE of it! \rWe visited the Fruitlands as the weather got warmer, confirming our original thought that the view would be spectacular once everything was in bloom. When I told our photographer that we were getting married at the Fruitlands, she responded that it was the best view in Eastern MA–& she was not wrong! All of our guests gathered outside of the tent along the hill to enjoy the amazing sunset on our wedding night. \rEveryone warned me that something would go wrong on my wedding day, but there were zero mishaps. Throughout the entire process, Tim was calm, organized, & super helpful. He responded quickly to our e-mails with thorough answers to all of our questions. I also felt like he got to know what type of people we were and cared about making our wedding day unique to us rather than just following a standard procedure. I loved how the space of the Fruitlands could be utilized–we had our ceremony, cocktail hour, & reception in different spots at the venue, which kept the entire night exciting. \rThere is a ton of work that goes into planning a wedding, but Tim made the whole process seem easy & worked behind the scenes to ensure the day was flawless. My husband & I were able to enjoy every moment & most importantly had so much fun! The beautiful setting & seamless transitions thanks to the professional & proficient staff allowed us to focus on having a great time with our family & friends rather than worry about anything else. \rI don’t think I can accurately sum up in words just how amazing the Fruitlands was as a wedding venue. The views are stunning, the people, especially Tim, were knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly, & easy to work with, the food was delicious, & we found it affordable & worth every penny. I never doubted that our wedding day was going to be great, but it was better than I could have imagined from start to finish. We picked Fruitlands because of its spectacular view, beautiful grounds, and reasonable price. We wanted a venue that felt beautiful and non-fussy, romantic and earthy, but still upscale and comfortable. And Fruitlands so perfectly fit this criteria. We also got to work with Tim and his staff, who are incredibly knowledgeable and responsive. Considering we planned the entire wedding from abroad and didn't have a real rehearsal (we did have a small run through beforehand without the whole wedding party, which I highly recommend), it was amazing how smoothly everything went the day of. The food was also really good and Fireside Catering was really helpful accommodating multiple allergies, which was important to us considering me (the bride), my mom, and multiple family members needed gluten-free food. Everyone was amazingly friendly and attentive- we felt so well taken care of from the moment we arrived early in the day to take photos through to the very end of the night. Thank you Fruitlands for the most amazing wedding, all of our guests have commented on how beautiful the space was and what a unique location it was for a wedding. I would absolutely recommend working with them to anyone. Reviewed on 26-11-2014
Catherine Haberkorn(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-07-2014 We were married at Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, MA, on July 4, 2014. Tim Holmes was a thorough professional throughout the planning process. He was always punctual, informative, flexible, and genuinely interested in making our day special. Moe and the rest of the Fireside Catering staff were equally professional. The staff was all smiles and blended unobtrusively into our gathering of friends and family, and the food was fantastic. From start to finish, our ceremony and reception were joyful and worry-free, and this is largely due to their experience and competence.\r\rThe site is beautiful, and despite rain from Hurricane Arthur, Fruitlands was the perfect venue for our wedding. The views on Prospect Hill are stunning, and under the tent with the rain outside, it was intimate and romantic. \r\rWe have no second thoughts about choosing Fruitlands and Fireside for our wedding, and we look forward to visiting them for future anniversaries.\r Reviewed on 06-08-2014
Rebecca Cohen(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-05-2014 We had an amazing experience, working with Fruitlands and Fireside. Tim Holmes is incredible and guided us through the whole process. The venue fit us perfectly--we loved having our ceremony outside and having lawn games at cocktail hour. The food is some of the best I (and many of our guests) said they had ever had at a wedding. All farm to table and beautifully and seasonally prepared, you will not be disappointed. I really do not have any negatives to share about our wedding experience as it was all positive. Thank you, Fruitlands and Fireside!!! Reviewed on 10-07-2014
Lili Ivester(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-10-2013 The Fruitlands Museum was the PERFECT venue for our wedding on Oct. 12th. The view and surroundings are incomparable for an autumn wedding in New England. My husband and I particularly appreciated the staff's collective enthusiasm and pride in the venue well! \rTim Holmes, our event coordinator, arranged everything so beautifully for our day. He was a terrific communicator and solid point person. His patience and guidance were invaluable, particularly with regard to the pacing and event order. The entire staff executed our whole event flawlessly. \rAs for food, that went hand in hand with our search for the perfect venue and the complements are still coming in - both from foodies AND non-foodies alike! (Though, let's face it, most of our friends are foodies and that's one of the many things we appreciate about them.) \r\rAlso, A VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY BIG THANK YOU for packing up my meal to go AND for the two slices of each cake flavor! It really allowed for the extra gift of time that I wanted to spend with each of our dear guests (the reason why we chose a more intimate guest list to begin with.) And amongst the best advice that I got was from my sister who said that the best cake she ever had was her wedding cake in bed after her wedding. She was right. But more about cake in another review... Reviewed on 28-10-2013

Alana Steinhardt(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-08-2012 My husband and I planned our wedding in less than 6 months, so we first saw Fruitlands in grey February. By the time our August wedding rolled around, I was beyond happy with our venue choice. Fruitlands has an exclusive contract with Fireside catering, and I cannot speak highly enough of everyone on the Fireside staff, from our coordinator to the waitstaff on the day of the event. The food itself was ridiculously delicious--hard to believe it was \"wedding food\"! They took care of everything, from the groom's significant food allergies to managing the vendors-- even when our florist was short a bridesmaid bouquet on the day of the wedding. The venue itself is jaw-droppingly gorgeous (rolling green hills, fountains, views of Wachusett and Monadnock, to name a few highlights) in addition to the tent which comfortably held 130ish guests. If you want an outdoor venue with traditional New England countryside flavor and a fantastic caterer, Fruitlands is a great choice. It wasn't a thrifty wedding, but I believe we got what we paid for--and I am very pleased with our choice. Reviewed on 04-09-2012

Carrie Kleiman(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-07-2006 the view was amazing. it was small and comfortable. it accomodated a lot of people in an outdoor space comfortably. the service (at least initially) was great. the food was fantastic.;we were HORRIFIED at the amount of mosquitos that came out at night and ate our guests. People left way early because they were being bitten, and even mosquito-repellent wasn't working. unfortunately, they say is jokingly now, but after all the time and thought that went into our wedding, the bugs is what our guests most remember... also, the catering, though great quality, lacked appropriate amounts. we were told that with a kitchen onsite 'we'll never run out of food', but in fact they did run out of one dish (the best and most popular).
