Gala Event & Food Artistry at Temple Beth Torah can host between 150 and 400 guests in a ballroom event space. Kosher catering is provided in-house and Glatt Kosher catering through their affiliate, Seaview Caterers. We got married on Saturday, June 10th at Temple Beth Torah. I had my Bat Mitzvah there when I was 13 years old and it was so meaningful being a bride there! IT WAS THE BEST DAY OF OUR LIVES! It was truly perfect and magical! Gayle and Russ were the most patient, easy-going, understanding, and amazing people to work with. They sat with us and listened to our vision and made it come to life. We will miss working with them! Ms. T was OUTSTANDING! She was there any second you needed her, whether it was for a drink, lipstick, helping with pictures, helping with my train, bustle, anything and everything! There is nothing that she couldn’t do and she is just so full of life and makes the day, so energetic, and positive. We were in the very best of hands. I couldn’t have envisioned a more amazing wedding day thanks to everyone at Temple Beth Torah! Our friends and family are still calling us to rave about the food!!! It was the best cocktail hour anyone has ever been to with sushi, tacos, lamb chops, pizza, pasta, mini grilled cheese, tuna tacos, Peter Lugers station, ice slide, it was just never ending! The dessert was incredible!!!!!!!! It was more dessert than any other wedding….the dessert parade, bakery, hot pretzels as guests left made everyone compliment and call to rave over and over! They didn’t leave a single thing out. They made sure every single guest left full and smiling! They helped us collect all of our items at the end of the night. They were there every step of the way to make sure it was the best night and it was. I couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect wedding day! Russ, Gayle, Miss T and the Gala Event team are absolutely incredible! Russ ensured everything went smoothly throughout, with small special touches throughout (e.g., waiting for us at the end of the aisle in the Sanctuary with champagne/Prosecco after we were married). The venue/synagogue is beautiful with built in stations in the cocktail room and to top it all off, the food was amazing! Miss T is also incredible!!! She does not stop moving and making sure the bride is at ease and where she needs to be. My bustle broke at one point and there came Miss T with her sewing kit to fix it all up. Wonderful place and good people!

We had our wedding 11/4/23 at Temple Beth Torah. Gayle and Russ were extremely wonderful to work with. They were detailoriented and didn’t miss a beat. Any questions I had they were able to answer.The cocktail hour was unreal, with various stations to choose from! Dinner was also delicious, our guests only had great things to say! We also did the dessert parade with was awesome and SO good.The temple is gorgeous and the ballroom and cocktail room are modern and beautiful. Our wedding night went so smooth, and Ms. T the bridal attendant is AMAZING as well! She made sure I ate, helped with my dress, helped my family, whatever was needed! I highly recommend having your wedding here. This was a dream for me and I had the experience of a life time !

We got married on Saturday, October 28th, but Gayle and Russ were personally there throughout the entire process. After all is said and done, we feel like we want to adopt Gayle and will miss the planning process with her.We cannot rate the food highly enough. From presentation to quality and quantity, Gala goes above and beyond. A Kosher affair was one of the reasons we chose this venue, but the food is so good, if they didn't tell you, you wouldn't even be able to tell the difference. Gala puts a fresh take on their dishes and leaves you wanting to come back for more. Truly there is no shortage of food...it was as if you had gone to your jewish mother's house and all they want to do is feed you! Additionally, the dessert parade was one of our favorite touches, as it allowed us to continue to party the night away without stopping the flow.The venue is unique because you get the traditional temple and then you are able to wow your guests with a modern and stunning cocktail hour and ballroom space.

This was the first place that my husband and I looked at and we instantly fell in love with not only the stunning temple and venue, but also the down to earth owners. Gayle and Russ described how our wedding day would go and we were able to vision it so perfectly. They were such a pleasure to work with during the entire process. They wanted our day to be as perfect and magical as we did. Now that our wedding happened, I can say that they certainly did not disappoint! They gave us all of their attention, provided suggestions when we needed them, made sure that everything was perfect and to our liking. They also treated us like family and that our special occasion was theirs as well. We couldn't have been happier getting married here! Our guests are nonstop raving about the delicious food and how beautiful the place was. Major shoutout to the bridal attendant Ms T!! She is incredible and brings such a great energy into your day! I truly can't say enough positive things about Gala and my experience with them! After our wedding on June 25, 2023 at Temple Beth Torah in Melville, our guests were RAVING about how delicious the food was, and how beautiful the sanctuary and reception room were! One guest said \"whoever thought of combining mashed potatoes and brisket in a martini glass is my hero.\" Gayle and Russ were so patient throughout the whole process in answering our (many) questions, and went out of their way to help us create the wedding of our dreams! They were super-accommodating, especially for our guests' various dietary/allergy needs! The venue is stunningly beautiful, and had spaces that were perfect for all of our needs. And, even if everything wouldn't have been as wonderful, it still would've been worth it because of the bridal attendant, Ms. T! Ms. T is worth much more than her weight in gold, and worked throughout the entire day to make sure we and our families and bridal party were taken care of (even feeding me fruit during a pause between photographs!) She was so attentive, friendly, kind, and upbeat, and also knew exactly what to do (even when we couldn't think of it ourselves) to fix any problem that arose (including helping to adjust a bridesmaid's dress, and helping to quickly remove glass when I accidentally knocked over a vase on the floor)! Ms. T truly went above and beyond and made sure we drank water and ate as much as possible during our very busy wedding day, and even picked out black-and-white cookies to include in the bridal suite for our alone time because she heard they were our favorite! We would definitely recommend Temple Beth Torah-Melville and Gala Catering for anyone looking to host an amazing event!

We just got married at Temple Beth Torah. We had a wonderful wedding, everything went to plan and we couldn’t be happier! Gayle and Russ worked with us every step of the way, meeting multiple times and accommodating us with several unique requests we had. They were always available to answer questions we had, and they took and helped set up our wedding items in advance so we didn’t have to worry about a lot of things on the day of the wedding. When it came to the day of the wedding, the venue and staff were phenomenal. Everyone raved about the food and service, the staff were attentive and the food just kept coming. Our bridal attendant, Miss T, was especially amazing. Miss T ran around all day, fixing everyone’s dresses (including the bride, mother of the bride and mother of the groom), locating lost items, and helped make us laugh during nervous moments. She brought us food in the bridal suite and made sure we ate at dinner, and ran around the dance floor handing us water and drinks so we could keep partying! She even snuck in to help us cut the cake, and at the end of the night helped us pack up everything and get the bride out of her wedding dress. We had an amazing incredible wedding, and it was all thanks to the efforts of Russ, Gayle, Miss T, and Gala Weddings.

Our son got married at Temple Beth Torah on July 30, 2023. We can not thank Gayle and Russell enough for this absolutely stunning, beautiful, magical event they provided. They are extremely easy to work with. Their attention to details was beyond compare. Everything was taken care of for us. They give you 1000 percent of their time, effort and energy devoted to you and your affair. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. Their staff is attentive, helpful andprofessional. Their bridal attendant- Ms. T is an absolute angel on earth. So helpful, upbeat and can conquer any issue that may arise. The food is delicious and their dessert parade is to die for. Where do I even begin? We just got back from our 12-day honeymoon and I still can't believe how amazing our wedding was. From the day that we locked down our wedding date with Temple Beth Torah, Gayle and Russ made the process SO easy. They are professionals and they know exactly what they are doing. The engagement period can be extremely stressful and overwhelming with a lot of details. I think I emailed Russ at least 50 different times in the month of August with all different questions and I ALWAYS received an answer back from him within the hour... most of the time I even received his response minutes later. This was truly a game changer. It is very hard to find venues where the caterer responds to you so quickly. A special shout out to Ms. T - she became my best friend the second I walked through the Temple doors that day. She is freaking awesome. If she doesn't put you in the best mood ever, then no one ever will! I was blown away with how charismatic and wonderful she was. Not to mention, she has the solution to everything. A button fell off of my bustle towards the end of the night, and just as I noticed my dress was dragging on the floor, Ms. T comes running in with her sewing kit and all her tools. Yes, she sewed my bustle up while I was dancing with my friends and yes, she fixed it within 2 minutes. She made sure I was well-fed and hydrated all night. She also carried my lipstick everywhere I went so she can reapply it to my lips every hour. She is truly an angel. Thank you Gala Event & Food Artistry for the most amazing and memorable wedding.

From the moment we toured Gala/Temple Beth Torah with Gayle & Russ, they were welcoming, hospitable and caring. Working with Gayle & Russ was easy. They were so accommodating and always available to answer any questions. The renovated cocktail hour room as well as the ballroom are both gorgeous and are able to hold a large amount of people. Besides Gayle & Russ, the other staff were also accommodating, respectful and friendly, which is hard to come by these days. The food presentation is incredible in terms of quantity, quality and creativity. For example, the huge wall lined with various types of sushi, the chicken margarita shooters and the mini hot dogs with the mustard syringes - these were just some of the hits among our guests! There was nothing else we could’ve asked for that wasn’t already provided. Lastly, Ms. T was an absolute savior. She kept us all calm, organized and was our biggest cheerleader that day. Ms. T can do absolutely anything and will get you whatever you need before you even know you need it. We would 100% highly recommend Gala!!

Gala Event & Food is the best! The food was unbelievable the cocktail hour room is breathtaking. Gayle and Russ are first class. I can go on and on about the amazing night we had. The following day we received so many calls saying it was the best wedding people have been to and the food was fantastic. We just got back from our Honeymoon and are still floating on cloud nine after the amazing wedding Gayle and Russ from Gala threw for us. It was absolutely stunning and perfect in every way. Gayle and Russ were incredibly patient with us from the very beginning and took the time to answer all of our questions throughout the whole planning process. Temple Beth Torah was the first venue we looked at and right when we walked in, we knew it was something special - but Gayle and Russ made it all the more special. All of the reviews mention how amazing Miss T, the bridal attendant is, and they truly aren't lying. We've heard from friends about their experiences with poor bridal attendants who don't really do much - but Miss T is the complete opposite. She went above and beyond to make our day run as smoothly as possible. Her energy was so bright and having her help us take care of the little details made all the difference. She paid attention to every single thing. She sewed my nephew's pants, sewed a part of my dress, made sure my lipstick was on all night, made sure I was fed, and had a smile on my face the whole night. Gayle runs an incredibly tight ship making sure her team is prepared for anything and everything. Russ was extremely communicative and ready to take on any of my odd requests to help ensure the day ran smoothly. Gayle, Russ, and Miss T truly are a dream team. Rabbi Moskowitz, the Synagogue's Rabbi, officiated our ceremony and it was absolutely beautiful. She personalized it for the two of us and worked with us for months leading up to the wedding to get to know us individually and as a couple. We felt so comfortable with her and received so many compliments on how beautiful the ceremony was. Many of our friends and family said it was the best wedding they've ever been to and to us, it felt like a dream.

Highly recommend Gala and Temple Beth Torah for your wedding venue. After having to change our date 3x due to covid, I realized how important it is to work with kind and flexible people. The team here made a stressful situation alot less stressful, they were so accommodating and helpful. Gayle was great to work with — always a text or phone call away for the smallest of questions. We got so many compliments on how gorgeous the venue was and especially how delicious the food was. The cocktail hour is incredible - one that people are still talking about 2 months later! I would book this venue alone for Mrs. T - she is AMAZING. The other reviews don’t lie! She will bring you water on the dance floor, fix your dress bustle perfectly, and put a smile on yours and everyone’s faces. She made my entire day that much better!!

We had a magical night of the wedding. The Temple was ready for us when we got there for pictures at the Chupah. Food and drinks were in the bridal and groom getting ready rooms. The Ketubah signing was well done by the Rabbi and the ceremony performed was warm and meaningful. The cocktail room is outstanding. It is modern and very roomy. The food stations were amazing and the bar had so many bartenders behind it so the guests did not have to wait knee deep for their drinks. Friends and family all remarked about how great the food was and how wonderful the service was. Glasses were filled regularly and napkins folded at all times. Remarkably the main meal came out hot and it was delicious. The bridal attendant was beyond amazing!!! There was nothing she did not do for us including getting my grandson (20 mos) grilled cheese to eat.Their recommendation for flowers was spot on. We used Metro and they did an outstanding job. The flowers were beautiful andthe Chupah was just as we asked it to be-lucite with floating candles and beautiful white flowers with greenery on top.The after party was back in the cocktail room-more good food,desserts and plenty of drinks. They even let us extend it to 3 AM. I highly recommend checking this Temple out when considering a venue. Everyone worked with us to make sure the evening was special for the bride and groom and their guests.

This was not an easy task, but she did it and completely exceeded all our expectations the night of the wedding! The food was impeccable, delicious and a true work of art. Our guests could not stop raving over the amazing food and the creative presentation all night! The cocktail hour is truly one of a kind; there is nothing like a GALA cocktail hour!!! Mrs. T, the bridal attendant was by my side the entire night!! She fed me, made sure I was hydrated, reapplied my lipstick all night and just took care of my like I was a true princess! The attention she gave me all night was unbelievable and I am so grateful for her!! I knew I was going to have a party crowd and the only way to keep the party going was to have a dessert parade! I am so glad that we decided to do it! The guests were able to enjoy dessert while still dancing the night away! My husband and I happened to be on stage dancing while the dessert parade was happening and we missed it! I asked Russ to if he could make us a small desert parade platter with a sparkler and he came running right over with it! Russ helped us recreate our own dessert parade and it was so appreciated and a special moment I will always remember! The Gala team is truly amazing at what they do and if I had to do it all over again, we would pick them in a heartbeat!! My husband and I got married at TBT on August 17th and it was, without a doubt, the best day of our lives. Gayle, Russ, and Miss T made sure that everything ran smoothly from the moment our day started to the moment that it ended. They helped my husband and I throughout the entire wedding process and they were always there for us to answer any and all questions that we had. Thanks to them, our wedding ran so smoothly. I got married at TBT on 3/23/19 and it was the most perfect night! My family and friends could not stop raving about the venue decor, the food and the amazing service at the bars and tables. Not only did the food taste incredible but the presentation of the food was unbelievable! TBT offers an abundance of stations to choose from during cocktail hour and pass arounds! After all of the food, then came the dessert parade! No one can stop talking about it! Endless amounts of dessert being passed around that tasted incredible! And I cannot forget about the doughnuts that were being made fresh at the end of the night for our guests to take home with the hot chocolate! It was also so amazing! The space is gorgeous and modern and was spacious enough for us and our guest list of almost 300! Ms. T, the family attendant could not have been more amazing! My brother-in-law ripped his tuxedo pants in the middle of the party and she sewed them back up for him to be able to wear, any stain that anyone had was taken care of and she was constantly there to give myself, the groom, and our family and friends anything we needed all day and night. Gayle and Russ had the night running so smoothly. I did not have to worry at all about a thing. I cannot thank them enough for an incredible and memorable night! I highly recommended TBT for any event!

I got married here on 12/15/18 and everything was absolutely perfect. My husband and I, our families and friends cannot say enough great things about the night and the staff! Cocktail Hour: Every food item not only looked so pretty, it also tasted delicious. The pizza with dairy free cheese was amazing and the guests were convinced it was real. The room is so beautiful, so spacious and requires little decorations. The bar did not have a line (with over 200 people) and everyone had a drink in their hand.Russ & Gayle: They are like a well oiled machine. They were there the entire night making sure everything was perfect. Russ made sure that not only we had everything we needed, but that the parents are well fed and always have a drink. They answer every email and follow through on all requests! Mrs. T: This woman deserves the world. She is absolutely amazing to everyone at the wedding. I was of course her priority, but any family member that needed anything (and I mean anything), she was more than happy to help out. She truly loves her job and always has a smile on her face. There are few words to say about her as she really is one of a kind. I didn't think I would need a bridal attendant while planning, and now I can't imagine my wedding without her! Dessert: We had the parade and everyone was amazed at how many desserts were being passed around, to the dance floor and people in their seats. I am a big dessert person and this was absolutely worth it for me! (Mrs. T even made sure I got an entire plate with all the desserts)

We had our wedding at Temple Beth Torah the last weekend in July and we could not have been more thrilled and satisfied with how our entire ceremony and event was executed. The synagogue was brilliantly decorated, everything perfectly organized how we asked, the cocktail room (recently renovated) was spectacular and most importantly, the food was incredible. Gayle, Russ and their team at Gala Events know how to help plan a wedding and will work hand in hand with you to make sure everything is how you want it to be. Every detail of our wedding was handled professionally and exquisitely from the moment we walked in until the conclusion of our weekend. The bridal attendant, Tamara (Mrs. T) was super helpful, attentive and always prepared in case anything happens to go wrong (nothing did!). Russ is ALWAYS available and at the top of his game when it comes to any questions you might have, responding in a timely fashion. They also took care of all the finer details that the bride and groom may overlook during the planning process and really put in great effort to make sure no stone goes unturned. You would be hard-pressed to find a better place out there that makes the planning, communication and the most important night of your life any smoother and stress-free than Gala Events at Temple Beth Torah. We wish we could do it all over again!

Our daughter's wedding was 10 days ago and it was easily the best day of our lives! TBT/ Gala are truly the best at what they do. It was an amazing night that is still being talked about by family and friends. They went above and beyond and made our day so special. We were lucky enough to work with Russ.. He made the entire process so easy and was very accommodating. He was always there whenever I had a question, no matter how big or small it was, he always got back to me right away or as quickly as he could. He was very professional and made us feel relaxed and took all of our worries away. The staff worked really hard to make sure everything was perfect! They truly focused on every single detail to make the wedding so awesome . Our bridal attendant Miss T, was incredible She helped us and the entire bridal party and made us all feel so at ease.. She was phenomenal! Everything was beyond our expectations! The food was exceptional. The Cocktail hour is unlike any you will experience. The presentation of the food is a work of art. Everything was beautiful and delicious. The place itself is newly renovated..gorgeous and immaculate. My wedding was last night (11/05/16) and as I walked out I said to Russ, \"I can't wait to write your review.\" The whole entire day (and year up until then) was in a word, perfection. When my family and I first walked in to TBT, and saw the decor and beautiful sanctuary, I was extremely interested. When Gayle came out to meet us and give us a tour, I fell in love. Everything she told me was exactly what I had been looking for and could not find on Long Island. The food she described was styled and similar to the trendy food I love to eat in NYC. It was really crazy how everything Gayle said was everything I loved. Needless to say, we booked it the following weekend. Leading up to the wedding, they were BY FAR the easiest vendor with whom we worked. Gayle and/or Russ answered any questions I had within minutes via text/email/phone call and it didn't hurt that Gayle and I oddly have the same taste in EVERYTHING. Yesterday was magical thanks to Russ and Gayle. Everything was seamless and flawless. Many guests commented that our ceremony was the nicest they had ever been to. Rabbi Wiesenberg was amazing and funny and made our ceremony so personal. Cantor Applebaum enhanced the ceremony with a beautiful voice. The food was amazing. Just amazing. Our guests at the cocktail hour kept stopping us to tell us how delicious everything was (fan favorites: Kobe hotdogs, sliders, brick oven pizza, zucchini noodle bolognese, and lamb chops, duh). The cocktail hour room is HUGE and felt spacious, yet warm and intimate. The ballroom is SUPER modern with a huge white dance floor. The service was incredible and I heard from multiple tables how attentive the servers were and that they kept the drinks flowing the whole night (shout out to Tamara - I love you!). Best part about my evening (besides, like, the wedding itself) was Harriet, my best friend/bridal attendant. She was SO helpful and organized and knew everything I needed before I needed it. Unreal. Gayle, you know how I feel about you. Russ, you are awesome as well and both of you made last night BEYOND WORDS amazing and our families and I cannot thank you enough for the BEST NIGHT EVER.

My husband and I were married at Temple Beth Torah in Melville, NY in October 2016. I couldn't say more positive things about our experience. Not only was the food delicious and unique, but the staff was incredibly helpful, walking us through the entire planning process. Gayle and Russ were especially wonderful. We had 300 guests and each of them left there more than satisfied with our vendors, raving about the food. If I was able to do it all over again I would do it the exact same way, working with Gala Events.

We just got married on 8/21 at Temple Beth Torah and it was AMAZING from start to finish! Russ and Gayle were a pleasure to work with and made sure everything went smoothly and all details were covered. All of our guests RAVED about the food, which was Glatt kosher, and most said it was the BEST food they have ever had at a wedding. People are still talking about the food a couple weeks later! The ballroom and cocktail room are beautiful and elegant and the sanctuary made a lovely spot for pictures and the ceremony. Tamara, the bridal attendant, is the most lovely, attentive, and helpful woman. Russ said in the beginning that the one rule of the wedding was that I couldn't take Tamara home and now I totally see why!! She is wonderful!! The whole team at Gala are dedicated, enthusiastic and meticulous. I would highly recommend using Gala for your wedding!!

My husband and I and our families could not have been happier with our wedding at temple beth torah! Gayle and Russ and their entire team were incredibly helpful in planning from start to finish and helped make our wedding night so special and incredible. The presentation of the food and the food itself were excellent along with the staff serving the food. They were such great people to work with and we received a million compliments after the wedding on how great everything was. The dance floor is large and spacious and comfortable for a large party. I highly recommend this venue and amazing team!

We could not have asked for a more perfect day! Gayle and Russ are an amazing team which allowed us and our families to truly enjoy the night and leave the rest up to them. The food was AMAZING and we have gotten so many compliments on it! The ballroom and its huge white dance floor was what drew us in in the first place and we could not have asked for anything more. The renovations have made the space absolutely beautiful and memorable, and Gayle, Russ and their team are beyond dedicated to making each wedding special. The food (especially the cocktail hour) was like nothing our guests have seen or tasted before. They're big on presentation but definitely not at the expense of taste. Tamara the bridal attendant was an absolute life saver all day long. And because they only do one wedding at a time, we had the run of the venue for everything -- bridesmaids getting ready, groomsmen getting ready, pictures (the patio area provided a perfect space for outdoor pictures), etc. We knew the second we met with the Gala team that this was our venue and caterer, and we're thrilled with every detail of what they created for our wedding.

My dream came true!!! This past March my husband and I got married at Temple Beth Torah. Our contract was signed before the renovation was finished and we were blown away. I had a certain vision for our wedding and Gayle, Bob and Russ at Gala made that vision come to life. Gala has wonderful relationships with other vendors and because of those relationships they were able to handle small details and not overwhelm us. Our ceremony was incredible, there was a silhouette screen before I walked down the aisle that was absolutely romantic! For our cocktail hour they helped us create a caviar bar and an incredible sushi bar as well. One of the best parts about having a wedding is when weeks and months pass by, people talk about it. To this day (almost 4 months later) everyone talks about how phenomenal the food was, it makes my husband and I smile every single time. Topping off our perfect evening was our after party which supplied our guests with more wonderful food and a perfect display of Baked By Melissa. Finally our evening was sealed with the most perfect pictures outside in the snow (yes it snowed on March 28) and Gala helped create the most romantic background with candles and lighting. I recommend this venue to anyone who wants their vision brought to life and their dream to come true.
