The Garden House is a historic wedding venue located in Northampton, MA. Situated on the grounds of a lush green park, this location offers a tranquil space surrounded by nature. With years of experience, the expert staff is dedicated to providing exceptional service to you on your wedding day. Nearby attractions such as a steam train and wildlife center are additional options for a fun-filled retreat. Built in 1930, the Garden House was originally constructed as part of the public Look Memorial Park. After a complete restoration in 1999, the house opened as a wedding venue and banquet facility. Gatherings of up to 175 guests can be accommodated here. Featuring plush carpets, air conditioning, and a large dance floor, the Ballroom is an elegant and comfortable space for your reception. Ornate chandeliers hang from the exposed wooden rafters, while mahogany paneling adorns the walls to create a charming interior. You and your loved ones can socialize around the rich stone fireplace. Alternatively, the White Tent can be set up to host your wedding ceremony or cocktail hour. This luxury marquee is attached to the main building, providing full coverage from the outdoor elements. Guests can also enjoy views of the tree-lined grounds from the sun porch. Furnished with wrought iron fittings and iridescent walls, this area is made for stylish celebrations. The Garden House offers a range of services to suit your wedding. The professional staff can set up and clean up the event area for your special occasion. Tables, chairs, and glassware are also provided. Guests can sample beverages from the bar, which offers signature drinks, champagne, and wine. The staff can also share a list of preferred vendors with you, enabling you to find reputable services and caterers for your event. A fully-equipped catering kitchen is available for your chosen caterers to use to prepare your wedding food. Get-ready rooms, parking, and WiFi are also offered at the venue.

Angela was extremely helpful when it came to planning the details of our wedding, setting up the space, and taking it down at the end of the night. She was accommodating, responsive, and very reassuring when we were feeling stressed leading up to the big day.

I am so happy that we chose Look Park & the Garden House for our August 2022 wedding! After a long venue search, we decided on the Garden House for a few reasons -- it has beautiful indoor & outdoor spaces, it is a non-profit park, and the wonderful event manager Angela. We were lucky with beautiful weather and got married outside at the Sanctuary at Willow Lake, a gorgeous outdoor space with a unique wooden structure and pond. There are backup options for poor wedding, including a large event tent (with sides that can be added) or doing the event in the Garden House itself. We held cocktail hour outside under the tent, then moved into the Garden House for the reception. All the spaces were lovely, and Angela is very attentive to detail. She made sure that everything was just the way we wanted, and she was there to assist we were rehearsing, getting ready, and for the event itself. Angela was also quite helpful during the planning process. She listened to our ideas carefully, then suggested vendors who were in our price range and met our goals (e.g., local musicians, nearby florists). I credit most of the wedding's success to our awesome vendor team, and Angela was instrumental in helping us build this group. The prices were reasonable, and cheaper than other \"event venues\" in the area. We loved knowing that the money went towards a non-profit park. I highly recommend the Garden House / Look Park for an indoor/outdoor wedding venue

The Garden House at Look Park was a dream come true for our wedding. The wedding coordinator, Angela Otis, is absolutely amazing. She helped us throughout the entire process, and she made sure everything went perfectly. She was such a big help setting up and taking down decor after. I truly can't imagine a better coordinator!As for the venue- Look Park and the Garden House is absolutely beautiful, straight out of a fairy tale. Our ceremony was at the Pines Theater- it looked like something from the renaissance or Shakespearean era. The perfect location. The Garden House looked beautiful as well for the cocktail hour under a tent surrounded by plants and flowers. The lights inside the venue were great too. If you aren't sure where to have your wedding but you know you want somewhere beautiful, lush, and laid-back, this is your location!!! All of our guests loved Northampton and loved Look Park.

We used the Garden House at Look Park for both our wedding ceremony and reception. We loved the many options we had for our ceremony, all of which would have been beautiful. We chose to have the courtyard set up due to the convenience of having it right next to our reception area. It was so easy working with Angela and Kayla for our event, they helped everything run smoothly. They collaborated well with all of our vendors. We had so many compliments about how wonderful our ceremony and reception were and how lovely the venue looked. We would recommend this venue to our friends and family as well for any special event.

We looked at many venues and it was no question that Look Park was our place to get married. The Pines Theater for the ceremony and the garden house for the reception couldn't have been better. IT was a GORGOUS day at the Pines due to the wonderful maintenance staff and Angela Otis who worked with us from start to finish!! We didn't lift a finger as Angela and the rest of the staff did there part to make sure the tables were set, the flowers were perfect, and the guest knew where they were going. I wish I could give 10 stars to this amazing location!

We live in the DC area, so planning out of state was a bit tricky. Jill provided us with her list of recommended vendors in any category you could think of, which greatly helped us plan our whole wedding day. Throughout the entire process, Jill was incredibly responsive and organized, and I never once worried about anything going wrong on our wedding day. The grounds of Look Park are GORGEOUS and provided stunning backdrops for our wedding photos. The room felt large with our 140 guests, bar service was phenomenal, and day-of coordination was seamless. We cannot recommend this venue more!

Though our circumstances didn't allow it, it was nice that we had the option to take photos anywhere in the park that day. We had our event on a Thursday in October, so the rental fee was pretty affordable. One of my favorite parts about the venue as a whole is, as a non-profit, all proceeds from the event go back into supporting Look Park. Overall, we are very happy with our choice in venue and would definitely recommend it!

My son and daughter-in-law were married last week at the Sanctuary in Look Park. It was a beautiful fall day and the setting was perfect. The setting, with the lake and trees in the background was gorgeous. The reception followed in the Garden House. What a wonderful venue! Fabulous architecture, a courteous, friendly and efficient staff. I couldn't recommend it more highly!

I had my wedding reception at the Garden House and ceremony at the Sanctuary. I could not have had a better day! Jilian and everyone at the park is amazing. They are so helpful and make planning so easy! We were able to come and visit the park multiple times to plan everything and being able to schedule rehearsal so everyone could make it was perfect! I would highly recommend Look Park to anyone looking for a beautiful, quiet place to get married. It is one of the best places in the area and the price is hard to beat for everything included and all the options.

I had my wedding reception at the Garden House and ceremony at the Sanctuary. I could not have had a better day! Jilian and everyone at the park is amazing. What a beautiful venue! We got married here at the Pine's theater. Jill Larkin made it so easy and gave us a list of tons of reputable vendors, which made booking things and people who work well together happen naturally. We were able to bring everything in the night before, which made the day of less stressful. We were able to decide the night before if we wanted to keep the Pine's Theater or move into a tent, in case of rain. Not a lot of places have a good rain backup, but Look Park totally does.The reception hall is only a short walk away in the Garden House. BEAUTIFUL and really affordable. It was picture perfect, and I definitely recommend Look Park.On a side note, some random older man came into our private event. We don't know who he was or why he was there, but the Look Park manager Angela handled it SO QUICKLY and really relieved any worries I may have had about him. Great staff, great coordinators.

Had our wedding here on October 20th, 2017 and everything was absolutely beautiful. We had 118 people and the venue was the perfect size. The craftsman style of the venue is classic and gorgeous and we had so many compliments on how great everything was. The staff was also very responsive and helpful. Everything was great and if I had the choice I would choose the Garden House all over again!

The craftsman style of the venue is classic and gorgeous and we had so many compliments on how great everything was. The staff was also very responsive and helpful. This venue was perfect for us! Beautiful options for outdoor ceremonies and a backup plan for weather. We were able to have both the Pines Theater and the backup tent set up the day of the wedding since there was a chance of heavy rain and we were able to make the decision last minute. The Garden House is beautiful and just our style. Plenty big enough for our crowd and lots of nice details. Clean and beautiful! The crew was all great from Jill to the day of coordinator Angela. Absolutely loved it!

The Garden House is a beautiful place for a wedding reception and ceremony. There are multiple options on the property depending on what type of ceremony you want. The best part was the built in rain contingency plan - which we took advantage of! We moved the ceremony the night before from The Pines Theater to the large tent outside the Garden House due to weather but it ended up being the best decision we made, the tent is beautiful and the courtyard surrounding was nicely landscaped. I cannot say enough great things about the staff from the first meeting through the end of the reception - Jil knows this place in and out and was very easy to work with. During the ceremony and reception, Jil and Beth kept us on schedule and were on hand getting the wedding party drinks and making sure everyone was comfortable. Every time I turned around they would be clearing tables or helping guests - it meant a lot to us and felt like they cared about making our wedding a success! A couple things to note: the bridal suite is a little small and does not have a bathroom. We had 15 round tables (with 8-10 ppl each) and a sweetheart table - the room felt full but not crowded and people were still able to move around. The initial floorplan included 19 tables for 175 ppl, I'm not sure how this would be possible without everyone being on top of each other so it was the perfect space for our quantity of guests.

We used The Garden House at Look Park for our reception venue, after a church ceremony in Northampton. We selected this venue for our November wedding because of the beautiful exposed beams, huge fireplace, and reasonable price. However, their staff is what makes this venue truly special. Jilian was incredibly helpful and responsive as we planned our event; Jessica was wonderful the day-of making sure our reception went smoothly; and the bar tender was excellent as well. Plus, our pictures around the park were perfect. I highly recommend this venue!

We used The Garden House at Look Park for our reception venue, after a church ceremony in Northampton. We selected this venue for our November wedding because of the beautiful exposed beams, huge fireplace, and reasonable price. However, their staff is what makes this venue truly special. Jilian was incredibly helpful and responsive as we planned our event; Jessica was wonderful the day-of making sure our reception went smoothly; and the bar tender was excellent as well. Plus, our pictures around the park were perfect. I highly recommend this venue!

Look Park is a great place for a wedding. My husband and I got married at the Sanctuary at Willow lake last July and it was beautiful. We had a reception at the Garden House. It was great because that gave us our rain option. Jillian was great to work with and make sure that our last minute details (such as needing an extra chair for the musicians) was taken care of. The reception was fun and it was nice to have the indoor/outdoor component as the weather was great.\r\rWe did our ceremony at the Sanctuary, but decided to turn it around and have the public facing the lake, with the ceremony happening on the boardwalk. The only problem we had was that the benches were placed a bit far from the boardwalk, and not everybody was able to hear the ceremony very well.

We had our Ceremony at the Pines Theater on a perfect fall day. It was simply gorgeous! The Reception was at the Garden House, and we were super happy with everything. The room is intimate and cozy, the staff is friendly, and everything went as planned. The sangria they made for our wedding was especially good, just what we asked for. Finally, knowing that the cost supported a local park was a plus!

We had our Ceremony at the Pines Theater on a perfect fall day. It was simply gorgeous! The Reception was at the Garden House, and we were super happy with everything. The room is intimate and cozy, the staff is friendly, and everything went as planned. The sangria they made for our wedding was especially good, just what we asked for. Finally, knowing that the cost supported a local park was a plus!

We recently married at Look Park in Florence. Our ceremony was outside at the Sanctuary with the reception inside at the Garden House. \rJilian, the event coordinator was super helpful, professional and courteous. She made sure everything was perfect for our day, always answering my emails and phone calls promptly and meeting with us a month before to make sure all the little details were right. Her day-of coordinator, Terri, was also very professional and was just around the corner whenever I needed her for anything. Both the sanctuary and the garden house looked great and I couldn't be happier. \rThe only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that Terri approached me shortly into the night at the reception that the lights weren't dimming (the dimmer was broken). She had called Jilian who offered free champagne for us and anything we might want, which was nice, but it was unfortunate that the lights were so bright the whole night- guests did comment on it. \rOther than that, everything was great!

The Garden House at Look Park is one of the most popular spots for weddings in the Northampton area, and now I know why. The space is gorgeous, with all of the tables decorated for fall, the fireplace lit, the cold air outside, it was warm, inviting, intimate and just wonderful on our wedding day. Jill (the GH manager) was fantastic from day 1, very organized (you can tell she's done this a few times before) and her coordinator was on spot on that day. Everything was perfect. Great space, beautiful, warm and inviting, and not that expensive in the end. Worth every cent. (Plus we had our actual ceremony there too, so guests got to hang, eat, drink and relax in the gorgeous warm atmosphere the entire time - they all loved it). It really was perfect.

The Garden House at Look Park is a beautiful venue for a wedding. The exposed post and beam ceilings with the french doors leading onto a patio with an option of a tent created a great atmosphere were every guest felt comfortable. The staff was very helpful with the planning of the wedding and on the actual wedding day. Highly recommended!
