Garey House is a Tuscan-style wedding venue in Georgetown, Texas. This beautiful estate offers both elegant indoor space and over 7,500 square feet of combined outdoor event space. The stunning landscape and luxurious interiors make for a romantic wedding destination perfect for your dream wedding. Whether you want to incorporate a European vintage style or a more natural setting for your wedding ambiance, Garey House is an ideal venue for you. Facilities and Capacity - Garey House is best suited for indoor events of 50-80 guests and has a maximum capacity of 125. Our indoor capacity for a rain plan or inclement weather ceremony is 90 guests. The rental of a tent is recommended for guest counts of 100-125. Garey House offers both indoor and outdoor locations exuding elegance and a signature Tuscan style. A large pond approaches the Garey house, where you can have your ceremony space on the Event Lawn or Terrace patio. Between the ceremony and reception you can host cocktail hour at the Courtyard or back patio. The Great Room offers a grand fireplace and access to the patio, while the Hall opens up to the courtyard and offers mixed indoor/outdoor use. Services Offered - The Great Room, back patio and Hall have built-in speakers available for your use, as well as electrical hookups for rented equipment at our various outdoor spaces. Wireless internet is also available throughout Garey House. We have a great list of preferred vendors, but do allow you to bring in the vendors of your choosing; off-list caterers require written staff approval prior to booking. Garey House also provides various tables and fruitwood folding chairs, along with the initial setup and end of night teardown of those items. History - Garey House was built in 1995 as a private home for Jack and Cammy Garey. In 2004 they donated the property along with funding for remodeling to the City of Georgetown. Can't recommend this venue more ! The staff is Professional , very communicative throughout. Pics are from my phone, the indoor dinner, bridal suite, and outdoor dancing. They have monthly drop- in events that helped us visualize the layout. The property is absolutely stunning and very affordable for its value. There were some small snafus the day of (locked bridal suite, tables in the wrong place) but easily forgiven. If you're looking for a Farmhouse alternative with a familiar but luxurious vibe, this is the place for you!!!

Garey house is an awesome venue and often overlooked. Because it's a city park, the price is so reasonable and they have tables and chairs on site. Everyone we worked with was supportive and charming, and the grounds are stunning. I particularly like the amount of different locations where you can have different events, and the potential to switch from indoor to outdoor. The only real drawback is that if you're located in Austin it's a bit of a drive. OH! And be sure to get the NAME of the off duty police officer so that you can put it on the check, or pay in CASH because we wrote down Georgetown Police and he threatened to shut our wedding down. Not really a Garey House problem, but like, heads up.

I had my wedding at Garey House at the end of March, and it was everything I had hoped it would be. The venue is beautiful, the staff was friendly and quick to answer my emails whenever I had questions, and the price for the venue felt like an excellent value considering how many compliments we got from guests regarding our ceremony and reception. I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants a gorgeous wedding and is willing to be actively involved in creating the wedding of their dreams.It's important to note that while you can rent Garey House for an event like a wedding, Garey House is not an all-inclusive wedding venue. They do not provide catering; they do not provide bartending. They aren't even your primary wedding coordinator. What they are is a gorgeous Tuscan-style home nestled in the center of a large park owned by the city of Georgetown (meaning very official rules and regulations), staffed by people who are tasked with protecting the property and guiding you in making choices that honor the property. They also have tables and chairs onsite that are included, and they will set them up for you in the layout you desire while also working with your wedding coordinator. Honestly, once you wrap your mind around what you're paying for, working with them to make your wedding happen is pretty easy.The one thing that can be difficult is approving a caterer that hasn't already been pre-approved. Because it's city-owned, there are very official pathways that must be navigated in order for someone to serve food on-site, and so if your caterer hasn't worked with them before, then your caterer will have to do scheduled on-site visit with the Garey House team and turn in a lot of paperwork before they can be approved. It might not sound like a lot, but it can be tough if your caterer is a mom & pop style restaurant with not a lot of time off. That said, y'all can thank me for Elsie's Egg Rolls now being approved at Garey House lol.This is getting long, so I'll end with this: If you are looking for a one-stop shop -- the kind of place where you can insert cash into a single, convenient slot and a beautiful wedding pops out -- then look elsewhere. However, if you have a bit of a DIY spirit and want to have your personal touch apparent in all the choices for your wedding, or if you are on a budget and don't want to pay $$$$ for decor and need a venue that is beautiful enough to do most of the heavy lifting, then Garey House is for you.

Had our religious ceremony and reception at the Garey House in June of this year and it turned out wonderful. The staff is super helpful and nice. I was the bride and I went into the day without being nervous for the details of the venue or the day of the wedding because they had it covered. Super memorable day!Three things to keep in mind is that if you are planning on getting a wedding coordinator/planner, still get one because the venue has a day of coordinator who only looks out for things related to the Garey House. Second thing is that you can only book the venue from a certain time until a second time of the night. Third thing- use the Garey House's vendor list! That's where we got all our vendors. They were all super amazing to work with and knew all of the venue rules to follow.

We love this venue. We chose the Garey house because it was adorable and beautiful. Our reception and ceremony were both outside. honestly the only down side was being required to purchase security and insurance. We were told that security just kinda hung out in the office in the event something happened or her was needed. We saw the security officer walking the grounds during the cocktail hour in uniform. Other than that everything was perfect.

The indoor space in small and broken up and not ideal for anything over about 50 people, but we had ours mostly outdoor and it was perfect! Wow! Our wedding day was absolutely magical. There were a few bumps that came up on wedding day, but we managed to get through them! Our guests kept complimenting on how beautiful of a venue we chose and loved how spacious it felt. We have loved the staff members that have helped us along the way prior to wedding day. If there is one thing that I would change, it would be the amount of time we have at the venue. We still had to do our rehearsal, decorate, and get ready all in the three hours before the ceremony. The Gary House is a wonderful venue!!!! My wedding day was amazing!!! All the staff that work for the Gary House is so professional and courteous like Melissa. My family loved the venue as well, with the beautiful waterfall, the beautiful natural scenery and the romantic gazebo that my husband and I got married under. Everything was perfect! The on-site manager Leslie was amazing she really saved the day for us. I loved this venue because my guest didn’t have to all sit in one place. There had several options they could go to, outside, inside, the great room, the hall. It was especially perfect during a pandemic so everyone could spread out. I would highly recommend the Gary House.

Choosing Garey House as the venue for our wedding was easily the best choice my wife and I made when planning our wedding. The entire process with them was stress free because we knew we were in good hands with the Garey House team. The high quality and service was clear with the resources they gave us, and it really helped to make our day absolutely special. The entire experience was amazing but three things really stood out and impressed us. 1.) Customization We were absolutely floored with the amount of options we had for the ceremony and reception spaces. The GH team worked with us to find the best placement and seating for our guests. This was especially important to us during the pandemic when we needed to accommodate larger spacing. There were so many floor plans to pick from and intimate spaces to choose as a backdrop for our ceremony. Which leads me to our next point. 2.) The entire property is gorgeousEvery angle of this property is perfect for pictures and could be the backdrop for the ceremony or reception. We could spend an entire day with the photographer and still not get all of the photos out of it. No choice is the wrong choice when picking the location for the ceremony on the property. 3.) Picking GH made all planning less stressfulThe team at GH absolutely took care of us leading up to our big day and beyond. Choosing Garey House as the venue for our wedding was easily the best choice my wife and I made when planning our wedding. The entire process with them was stress free because we knew we were in good hands with the Garey House team. The high quality and service was clear with the resources they gave us, and it really helped to make our day absolutely special. The entire experience was amazing but three things really stood out and impressed us. 1.) Customization We were absolutely floored with the amount of options we had for the ceremony and reception spaces. The GH team worked with us to find the best placement and seating for our guests. This was especially important to us during the pandemic when we needed to accommodate larger spacing. There were so many floor plans to pick from and intimate spaces to choose as a backdrop for our ceremony. Which leads me to our next point. 2.) The entire property is gorgeousEvery angle of this property is perfect for pictures and could be the backdrop for the ceremony or reception. We could spend an entire day with the photographer and still not get all of the photos out of it. No choice is the wrong choice when picking the location for the ceremony on the property. 3.) Picking GH made all planning less stressfulThe team at GH absolutely took care of us leading up to our big day and beyond. We weren't planning on having a traditional wedding, but when my husband saw it while visiting Garey Park one day last year, he fell in love. He brought me to the park shortly after, and I saw for myself what he meant.The grounds are gorgeous, the rental timeframe is much longer than some other venues we saw in the past, and they include tables, chairs and other items that typically have to be rented.Kerbie was a dream to work with! She answered all of my million-plus questions with such patience, haha. Even when I flip-flopped a bit when finalizing our floorpans, she was so kind and accommodating. Micayla was our day-of site manager, and she was absolutely fantastic as well! The price is also very right, especially for everything that comes with the rental cost. They were also very accommodating when we had to push out our original May date due to COVID. Garey House is truly a hidden gem!One thing to keep in mind: Because this is not a privately-owned business (it's the City of Georgetown in one of their parks), some of the rules and regulations felt a little bit strict, including their current COVID guidelines (which we were 1000% on board with, so that was great!), but also some other rules that made some things just a tad trickier. It's nothing that cannot be worked with, but something to keep in mind.

My husband and I had our wedding here on 10/22/2020. It could not have been more perfect! Our family, friends, and even our photographer told us how beautiful the venue was. Not only is venue beautiful, but we had so many options for both ceremony and reception! The coordinator and other staff are absolutely amazing as well! A huge part of how well everything is in thanks to Kerbie and Micayla! Kerbie was infinitely patient with my millions of questions and requests! We could not have chosen a better venue!

This property is BEAUTIFUL. The grounds are well kept and so charming! We had our reception on the back lawn/porch area because of the beautiful backyard feel, not to mention the great view of the foutain/pond. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind! I cannot say enough good things about how help and friendly they were throughout the whole process. They set up all the big stuff and create a back up plan in case of bad weather. We got married on the terrace so knowing that we had a back up plan, in case of Texas weather, made choosing them all the more worth it! Our wedding photos came out beautiful and everyone who attended got great photos too! The bridal area was a spacious and comfortable place to get ready!

I was worried everyone was getting chilly outside so I asked Donna what she thought of moving tables inside the hall. BOOM, done (with some groomsman/guest help). Everyone loved our venue! it is a gorgeous property and the places to take pictures are endless. We did have to get married inside unlike we had hoped, but we can only blame that on the crazy Texas weather! We were all still able to have a blast at the wedding.

The drive into Garey House is beautiful and sets you up for the rest of the evening. Kerbie, the venue coordinator, is incredibly knowledgable, honest, and responsive. She will quickly give you guidance and suggestions for what works and what doesn't. There are also plenty of options on how to use the venue and Kerbie will help guide you. They do have a space that can accommodate up to 150 outside only, I believe. My ceremony was held in the terrace on and reception was in the great room. My guests loved the venue and kept commenting on how beautiful the house and grounds were. Our site manager for the day was Makayla (forgive me if this is misspelled), she was helpful and friendly. If you are looking for a wedding venue, I would recommend Garey House.

I wanted my parents and in-laws to go see the venue before I booked it and not only were they extremely rude, they were incredible unaccommodating. I was told “if your in-laws want to look at it pay the entrance fee to the park”. If you’re going to book with them think twice! If they were so unaccommodating for a tour imagine what your wedding day will look like! Yikes! Worst venue I’ve dealt with!
