Based out of Canton, SD, Gate City Events & Lodging offers a unique experience that has endless opportunities. A spacious venue, large rental home, motel, and campground are located on the 15 acres. Our 7,200 square foot event center provides a rustic flair for any event and can seat 350 people. The rental home can sleep 20 plus. It boasts a beautiful kitchen, entertaining area, and full saltwater pool. Our campground and 11-unit motel is within walking distance of the venue and rental house.

AMAZING VENUE! Gate City was so great to work with for my wedding weekend. We took advantage of staying onsite in the beautiful home that you can rent. It is STUNNING!! Clean, cozy and so convenient. We planned on getting married outside, but due to the rain, we had to make a last minute decision to move it inside to the reception area. Gate City was so accommodating and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding weekend. Amazing, kind people. I would recommend to anyone looking to have their big day there or just looking to rent the house for a group getaway. You won't be disappointed.

The reception venue is large with plenty of bathrooms, huge kitchen facility, handicap accessible and has rustic feel. There is a huge house on site with indoor pool, a full hook-up campground, and a small hotel. It has everything and the owners are great! They worked hard to make my daughters day even more amazing.

We rented the house, event center, and cabins for the weekend. The owners were absolutely amazing to work with, it was well decorated in general so we did not have to add much of our own to make it perfect for us! Being able to stay on the property for us and our guests made it perfect so no-one had to drive after having a good time. This is a great place with great people, we will be using it again for different occasions!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this place! I couldn't imagine a better place to have had my wedding. The venue is amazing. The house fit my entire wedding party and attendants comfortably for the whole weekend and it was great being able to have everyone in the same place. We also had the rehearsal dinner and the gift opening in the house. The reception area is extremely spacious and easily fit my 300 guests. It has a great rustic chic feel.To top it all off, Tamela, the events director, is incredible to work with. She was always available to answer questions and listen to my ideas. I seriously have nothing but good things to say about Gate City Events, and I would recommend it highly to any bride :)
