Gin Creek Plantation is a waterfront wedding venue located in Hartsfield, GA. This south Georgia location is ideal for a rural wedding day by a blue lake and green vineyards. The owners and staff are sure that this venue will make your special day a beautiful and memorable one. Richie and Doug DeMott founded Gin Creek to be a peaceful place where happy memories can be made. The seed for the Creek was planted in 1967, when Max DeMott envisioned creating a lake that would bear his family name. His sons took up his idea in 1988 and built upon it. The two brothers completed the DeMott lake and RoseMott vineyards, which were named in memory of their parents. The name “Gin Creek” came from both the creek running through the land and Richie’s former profession of cotton ginner. Richie and Doug made a fantastic team while working together for many years. Now, Doug continues to carry on the family legacy with his hands-on manner. Gin Creek offers a romantic, countryside setting to host your wedding day celebrations. You can feel authentic hospitality and rustic charm throughout this property. From entering in a horse carriage or a Rolls Royce to enjoying the wooden furniture and fixtures, your day will be filled with charming touches. Here, you can relax, soak in the atmosphere, and make beautiful memories together. Over 300 guests can enjoy a wedding ceremony and reception held at Gin Creek. Your ceremony can be held country-style in the copper-topped gazebo or with a hint of Tuscany in the stone-arched pergola. Afterward, your reception can be hosted by the 20-acre DeMott Lake, in the 53-acre RoseMott Vineyards, or by the four-century-old Vintage Oak. DeMott Lake offers the 2,500-square-foot Galleria, its two-level deck enhanced with string lighting. The RoseMott Vineyards sees a 7,200-square-foot triple twin-peak tent overlooking rows of grape vines. Meanwhile, the Vintage Oak is near the 3,300-square-foot deck of the PackHouse Wine Tasting Room. You can arrange a personal tour of any or all of these spaces well before your big day.

I can’t think of one negative thing to say about Gin Creek. Doug, Meaghan, Marcelino, and all of the other staff at Gin Creek were absolutely wonderful from the first planning stages until the day of the wedding. You will not be disappointed if you choose to have an event at Gin Creek, I assure you.

Traveled from Texas for a friend’s wedding. Rented one of the cabins rather than stay in a hotel 25 minutes away.Cabin was very small, AC failed overnight and no internet service. No internet, no WiFi, very poor cell service.Staff was accommodating and the venue was okay. But, for the price, little things matter.

Gin creek was the most amazing place to have a wedding. From the staff to the facilities, everything was perfect. Getting married amidst the coronavirus pandemic was nothing short of hectic, but the staff at gin creek were so accommodating and amazing. Meaghan was the best point of contact for everything related to the wedding. I reached out to her multiple times a week for the months leading up the wedding, and several times daily the couple of weeks before. She always responded quickly and with helpful information and answers to my questions. She was AMAZING. I couldn’t say enough good things about her. The owner Doug will go completely over and beyond to make sure his brides are happy. Crista was my day of wedding coordinator and she made sure that the day ran as smoothly as possible, and was so helpful and kind. We had great bartenders at both the wedding and rehearsal dinner as well. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful place to have a wedding. The cabins we stayed in were clean and had plenty of space for a lot of our out of town guests, family, and friends. The ceremony sights at Gin Creek are so beautiful and definitely worth the price. We were extremely happy with our wedding at Gin Creek.

My husband and I got married her on July 06, 2019. The wonderful time we had at this vendor can't really be put in words. First off, it rained on our wedding day, and when I tell you Doug, Meaghan, and Jen took care of us t the upmost, Jen, one of the staff members went to every car and talked to every guest and took very good care of our guest, then she made several trips to visit the Bride's house to have heart to heart talks with me on how I wanted to proceed. She took such good care of my entire bridal party and of me. She made sure that our wedding day would go as smooth as possible being that we had to make some adjustments. The owner Doug, oh my GOD, he is superb. He made several trips as well to the bride's house to talk to me as to how I wanted to proceed and that however I wanted it to proceed, he assured me that it would be done. All he wanted was for me to be happy and when I tell you that they made sure of that, they did. His daughter Meaghan is such a great joy and pleasure to work with. She was a great leader, she helped me from beginning to the very end, she guided me when I didn't know what to do on certain things, she gave me advice after advice. She was just phenomenal. They have so much to offer and please do me a favor. If your desires is to have your wedding here, please don't let the packages deter you from that. Call and schedule a meeting with them and sit down and talk to them. Tell them your budget and I promise if their is a way that they can may it happen, they are going to make it happen. They are so easy to work with. They have a wonderful staff as well. Everything and everyone connected to this place is awesome. I promise if you choose them, you will not, I repeat you will not be disappointed. I love them. They are my family now.

We LOVED Gin Creek as our venue. The staff is the best and will go above and beyond for you. We never had to worry about anything and it is a gorgeous place to get married. I highly recommend this venue!

Gin Creek is by far the most amazing venue I came across and I did a LOT of research. Meaghan is the most wonderful, helpful, kind person. She went out of her way to take videos of the venue and send them to us so we could see it before we got down there (we live 5 hours away) and she was so ready to help us at any time of the day or night during our year long planning process. I could not have asked for anything more. She even came to the rescue multiple times during our wedding weekend. Also Brenda (Meaghans aunt I believe) catered our rehearsal dinner and WOW. The food was phenomenal. They really did make our wedding day perfect. Gin Creek is perfect for any and every wedding and the team can help customize the venue to make it EXACTLY what you want on your wedding day. Thank you again Meaghan and the Gin Creek crew!!! We had a beautiful wedding!!!
