Glenview Mansion is a true hidden gem, a breathtaking wedding venue on beautiful parkland at a great price point. We fell in love with it immediately during our tour with Sandra. We did our late afternoon ceremony in the formal gardens - a dreamy location with big trees and lots of shade from the summer heat. Our reception was indoors, taking advantage of the mansion and its historic charm. Each room is unique and beautiful - from the grand staircase in the foyer, to the wood paneled dining room, to the green marble floored conservatory (used for dancing - one of my favorites)! Sandra was so helpful from day 1 and was available for any questions we had. Her venue walkthrough was professional and thorough and we knew we were in good hands. On our big day everything was set up ahead of schedule and the staff were present in case of issues but did a good job being behind the scenes. We LOVED Glenview Mansion. If you're looking for a venue, you can't find better. 10/10, would get married here again, but hopefully won't have to! Reviewed on 16-07-2023
Alison Kirsch(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-10-2022 Glenview Mansion was a beautiful venue for our fall wedding. The team was responsive throughout the process, and flexible in making day-of adjustments to make sure our vision came to fruition. Anna Rui(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-08-2021 We are so happy with our wedding venue at Glenview. The mansion is absolutely beautiful and spacious. There is a stunning bridal getting ready room with a three pane mirror and beautiful decor, a balcony on the second floor that lets in light perfect for photos, many rooms on the lower and upper levels, and of course the beautiful landscape surrounding the mansion. The staff were very responsive to our questions leading up to the event and were accommodating to all our requests. They were also one of the only venues we visited that guaranteed a full refund if we had to cancel the event due to COVID, which alleviated a lot of stress. All in all, we had a great experience. Lindsey S.(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-10-2021 My parents drove down from NY to tour a few venues with me, and Glenview Mansion was at the top of my list. My dad called and spoke with Sandra and scheduled a tour the week before they came. When we arrived, we were told by Gary, the groundskeeper, that no one was there. He called Sandra - on speakerphone - with us standing there and as soon as he called and said we were there, she asked him to take her off speaker. They continued to talk, Gary laughed at whatever Sandra was saying, and we felt incredibly uncomfortable. Apparently, Sandra said that my dad - who does not know how to use the internet AT ALL - rescheduled our tour online. She did not apologize; she did not call us later or follow up in any way. Gary was very kind and gave us a tour, but if this is how they operate, I’m absolutely not interested in spending thousands of dollars there and entrusting them with the most important day of my life. Megan Wolf(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-04-2017 My husband and I were married in the gardens at Glenview two weeks ago and are so thrilled that we found Glenview! The gardens and mansion are gorgeous and well-maintained (bonus point: there are lots of flowering trees on the property, so there were beautiful blooms everywhere! They have flowers and plants that are in season from spring-fall, meaning that the gardens always look amazing). The mansion is huge and the art gallery on the second floor was fun for our guests to walk through; plentiful on-site parking helped to reduce stress levels for both us and our guests. Our 85 guests were very comfortable in the space and we could easily have gone up to around 125+ without anyone being crowded. Glenview is part of the Rockville Civic Center Park, so it is a) not solely a wedding venue (meaning that people holding events here will need to source required items for themselves, minus the tables and chairs which Glenview provides) and b) intended to serve and improve the local community. We loved that we were not pressured with up-sales associated with dedicated wedding venues and that the venue fee goes towards maintaining the historic mansion and gardens and offering free art shows to the public. We felt that the rental rate was very reasonable and were happy that Glenview and the park are there to serve the citizens of Rockville. However, the real joy of choosing this as our venue was working with Sandra and other members of the Glenview staff. Sandra communicated clearly and responded promptly to any questions that we sent her way. She made sure to walk through details that we had not thought of with us and gave us plenty of time to discuss. We appreciated that she was laid-back, knowledgeable of what the venue could offer, and took a genuine personal interest in us and our event. The staff that were present on the day of our wedding were similarly capable, prepared, prompt, and delightful to work with. Thank you, Sandra & co! Reviewed on 29-04-2017

Laura Foncannon(wedding party)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-12-2017 As parents of the bride, we highly recommend Glenview Mansion as a wedding venue. We had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The house and gardens were absolutely beautiful for a fall wedding. The mansion feels warm and inviting without decorations. Add some flowers and candles and it is gorgeous. The rooms are large and flow easily from one to the next. The art gallery upstairs is a great area for guests to mingle or have a quiet moment. There are so many beautiful backdrops for photos, both inside and out. The rental coordinator, Sandra, was responsive, helpful and just overall, a pleasure to work with. We had weather issues to contend with on the day of the wedding. The staff on site that day (Sandy, plus Sandra and Paige because they were training new staff) were so accommodating, allowing us to make a last minute decision as to whether the ceremony would be held inside or outside. Ultimately, the ceremony was held in the garden, which is what the bride and groom wanted. Our daughter and son-in-law could not have been happier with their selection of Glenview. Dan Murphy(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-10-2016 Glenview is a truly beautiful venue and ideal for having a ceremony and reception in the same location. My wife and I are not from Maryland but married in Rockville to be nearer to our two families on the eastern seaboard, and the first time we saw the location we knew we wanted to book it. Sandra and the rest of the staff were great the week of the wedding and very helpful and accommodating in the months before. Since we were planning the wedding from afar it was great that the staff was so available and helpful throughout the process. The day of the wedding we got so many compliments about the choice of venue and everyone had a great time seeing the mansion and exploring the grounds. The mansion itself has many comfortable rooms, balconies, and sitting areas that are great for talking and enjoying drinks that are directly adjacent to the main rooms. Downtown Rockville is also great and has a lot of choices to offer guests without having to directly confront some of the crowds or hassles of DC - but DC is also nearby for guests who may want to tour and stay around a few days. Jill Wharton(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-12-2017 Glenview was a great choice for our small, mid-October wedding (approx. 55-60 guests). The venue is historically and aesthetically impressive and takes little decorating to facilitate a great party. More importantly, the mansion staff and coordinators, especially Sandra C., were consistently helpful during the months leading up to the event and absolute stars the day of. Sandra was always responsive to email, and flexible with our requests, including delivering materials early, and accommodating of all family and vendor schedules. Brenda was our on-site contact for the event, and she kept an eye on the set-up proceedings, graciously helped with tasks including setting up favors, and generally confirmed that all the vendors were aware of each other's role throughout. I can't recommend Glenview highly enough--our guests raved about the beauty and easy accessibility of the property and grounds, and the experience of interacting with everyone involved was efficient and pleasant. Great for getting ready.- The cottage was great for the groomsmen.- Staff was easy to work withCons- No red wine, unless you want to pay a $500 non-refundable waiver- We had about 110 guest, but that is truly the max. I wouldn't have a larger group than that to accommodate a seated dinner.- Be very clear about setup and the furniture that is inside of the house. They might have to take it to a vote to move items.- If you have over 100 guests, they won't be able to sit in one room for dinner, will have to use both dining room.I highly recommend attending one of their many wedding expos. Julie M(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-12-2017 I got married at Glenview earlier this month and it was everything I wanted it to be and more!! I was looking for a place that had a warm, inviting space with room for people to relax and a beautiful outdoor area for the ceremony and you can't beat Glenview on that front! Sandra was my primary contact at Glenview and could not have been nicer or more fun to work with -- I truly adore her and the other folks at Glenview, they are patient, helpful, flexible, and genuinely excited for you and to work with you on your wedding. No venue is going to be 100% perfect, and Glenview has two minor downsides people should be aware of: the first is that if you get married inside (because of inclement weather, or something), the conservatory where the ceremony will be held only seats about 30 people, so if you have more guests than that, some will have to stand during the ceremony. But even though it rained most of my wedding day, it cleared up around 4pm so I was able to do it outside (I imagine some places are more strict about that, but Glenview seems very flexible on that front- as long as there is no lightening/safety hazard!) The second minor downside is that the rooms where guests eat are two separate rooms- this means that when you do toasts, you will likely opt to do them in the foyer. I didn't mind this but in an ideal world I would've liked to do them during dinner, but that's not a great option at Glenview because you don't want to do toasts in one dining room when half your guests are seated in another. So, just factors to keep in mind when looking for a venue. To me, the advantages of Glenview far outweighed the challenges: it's an absolutely beautiful space (many of our guests commented on this!), with beautiful grounds, a wonderful team to work with, and the venue is handicap accessible with a huge parking lot for guests. We were also able to drop off our alcohol and wedding decorations and such the day before the wedding which was enormously helpful. Glenview was perfect for us and I'm so happy we chose to have our wedding there! I can't imagine a more spot in the DMV area to get married! Reviewed on 26-10-2016

Sandra was our event coordinator and she is clearly very experienced and I appreciated her direct, calm attitude. She was responsive and helpful in the months leading up to our wedding. I only wish she had been there on the day of the wedding (someone else was there, but she didn't really interact with us). Our guests loved the venue itself. We had 150 guests and set up a tent outside for dinner to be sure everyone could sit in one space. We had originally planned to have the ceremony outside, but unfortunately it was raining. With 150 guests, the ceremony indoors was slightly cramped, but the room was beautiful and no one noticed or cared. The general indoor space is enormous, which means that even with rain, there was plenty of room for guests to spread out during cocktail hour and dancing. My parents loved it because they did not have to be too close to the loud music from the DJ in the conservatory. We had a loud and fun dance room at one end of the mansion and a great area with seating for tranquil chatting and eating dessert at the other end. This was such a fun and eclectic venue - our guests loved all of the small corners of the house there were to mill around in, even the art gallery upstairs! Also, they recently changed the rule so you can have red wine if you would like to (for a fee). Plus you can BYOB, which will save you a ton of money on catering! The mansion and outdoor gardens are super photogenic and looked really great in our professional photographer's camera, as well as our guests' snapshots. There was an elegant 1920s feel to the house that was great since we had been looking at event spaces in DC that offered little character other than some exposed brick and Einstein light bulbs, but at double the cost. City of Rockville residents get a discount!Since the mansion is a public space, it's open all the time so we were able to bring our family by to see the space before we booked our wedding. The events coordinator there, Sandra Christian, was really great to work with. Brynn Duncan(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-10-2015 Glenview Mansion is a beautiful historic mansion tucked away in a residential neighborhood in Rockville. We came across the venue and loved it from the start. There are beautiful gardens, rooms throughout the house, and an art gallery on the second floor. It had plenty of room for my 130 guests and they accommodated last minute changes with ease. A hurricane was supposed to hit during our wedding, so we had to forego the outdoor garden ceremony, but it kept the entire night very warm and cozy. People who wanted to dance could dance, and people who wanted to stay away from the loud music could sit in one of the rooms further from the observatory. Sandra helped us coordinate and move furniture to allow for several tables in the main dining room, so most people sat there with others sitting in other rooms around the mansion.
