Glidden House is a beautiful wedding venue located in Cleveland, OH. Built in 1910, this French Gothic mansion operates as a boutique hotel and romantic wedding venue. We had our September 2023 wedding at the Glidden House, and it was the most magical venue for the most perfect day. Jennifer and Allyson were an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire process, and made planning a breeze. They truly go above and beyond as event coordinators, and I am so thankful for their help and knowledge. They also set up all of our decor beautifully and made our vision come to life. It was just so perfect and I wish I could relive that day over and over again. The Glidden House itself was the most ideal setting for our wedding-- we had the ceremony outside, the cocktail hour on the patio, and the reception in the Juniper Room. It was a one-stop shop, and you have access to all of these spaces as part of your package. We had 75 guests, which was very comfortable for this venue. The bar package was also excellent. We received so many compliments from our guests about the venue, and even that it was \"the best wedding they've ever been to\"... that's pretty awesome. The other very special thing about the Glidden House is that as a Clevelander, I can always come back and stay as a hotel guest-- and that is exactly what my husband and I plan to do for every anniversary. We now have this new special place that we can revisit and those magical memories will always live on. Not many venues can offer you the chance to come back for a romantic getaway, just saying. BOOK THE GLIDDEN HOUSE!! Your will NOT regret it!!!

Glidden House was a beautiful, picture perfect wedding venue. The gorgeous mansion as the backdrop during the ceremony, and cocktail hour patio were the highlights. Jen was especially such a pleasure to work with.However, after booking the venue, the events team suddenly became difficult to communicate with. We had a few frustrations due to the venue being a small, boutique hotel, sometimes lacking the level of customer service you get with a bigger hotel brand or event space.

PERFECT does not even begin to describe it. Our very small wedding (28 guests total) was held in the mansion rooms. Jennifer was there every single step of the way, and took care of every single detail. From the moment I woke up to the moment I went to bed, my wedding day was COMPLETELY stress-free! We loved the gorgeous mansion rooms, and the Christmas decorations were a HUGE bonus for us! We also stayed two nights in the Mary Grasseli Glidden suite, which was spacious and very beautiful. Several guests told us that it was far and away the best wedding they have ever attended.

As soon as we visited Glidden House, we knew it was the place we wanted to start our \"forever.\" Yes, the location was great for us and we loved the ambiance and beauty of the hotel. The real gem is the staff! Carrie and Jen are AMAZING coordinators. My husband and I planned everything without the help of a professional planner and those two made it so easy! They have lists of preferred vendors, can give recommendations for out of town guests, are very responsive, and did ALL of the day-of coordination. They made us feel like there were really no stupid questions and we knew exactly what was going on each step of the way. Polite, punctual, calm, and collected which is what every couple needs on their wedding day!

I had my dream wedding ceremony and reception at the Glidden House. I have nothing but good things to say about the event coordinators and the other hotel staff. The entire venue was set up exactly how I wanted and it looked just like my dream wedding. Both the outside and inside ceremony/reception spaces are naturally stunning. The Glidden House provides a complimentary suite for the bride and groom on the wedding night. They also provide a valet for your guests! The fact that the event coordinator warned me about the incoming rain so we could move the ceremony inside saved the whole wedding! The event coordinators were so friendly, organized, helpful, and accommodating! I am just so grateful and appreciative for all they have done for us to make our wedding special. I would highly recommend the Glidden House for any event! Thank you thank you thank you!

The Glidden House is the perfect wedding venue! It’s the most romantic and intimate venue, and when we were there we felt so at home. Carrie and Jennifer are wonderful to work with, and they make sure that your wedding day is stress free. Our in town guests loved Glidden for its beauty and hospitality. Our out of town guests loved the location as they were within walking distance of the best museums and attractions in Cleveland. It’s the perfect venue for your romantic and magical wedding!

Carrie and Jennifer are wonderful to work with, and they make sure that your wedding day is stress free. Our in town guests loved Glidden for its beauty and hospitality. Beautiful venue and Carrie the event coordinator is lovely. They were also very accommodating with everything going on with COVID which was a huge relief during a difficult time. We were touch and go on the weather, but Glidden had both the indoor and outdoor spaces set up so we could make a last minute switch if needed. Carrie and Amanda (coordinates room blocks) are both helpful and responsive. I can’t wait to see our pictures from around Glidden (indoors and out) because it all looked so beautiful.

The Glidden House is nothing short of a dream. The entire wedding day was so perfect. They worked so well with us to be sure every moment was seamless and everything was special that day. The setting is gorgeous. There was disappointment when learning that my candles could not be lit; we were not aware that uncovered candle sticks couldn’t be lit due to fire hazards, so that was a bit of a surprise however seeing them unlit. However everything else wasReally amazing. Carrie and Erica were so patient, so calm, and really held the entire event together. No wedding planner needed with this venue.

Very happy with our decision to use the Glidden House as our wedding venue for both our ceremony and reception. It was actually the first and only venue I looked at. Once we made the decision, I worked with Carrie who's the event coordinator and Katie (from Marigold Catering). They handle EVERYTHING. They are really pro's at doing this and I knew that I was in good hands. The interior and exterior are so gorgeous that we barely had to do much as far as decor. We heard from several guests that it was the most beautiful wedding they'd been to.

They were so helpful and we had one less thing to worry about because they were on top of everything! Glidden House is the perfect venue for a wedding. It is just beautiful. Carrie and Jessica were very easy to work with and very patient and helpful. We planned an outdoor wedding ceremony but the weather did not cooperate but the room was converted from holding the ceremony to reception while our guests enjoyed great drinks mixed by Billy and Denise and delicious appetizers. Many of our guests had never been to The Glidden House but all said they would return. Also, very nice hotel rooms and Amanda and Laura were great to work with as well. Beautiful venue. Highly recommend having your special day at The Glidden House!

I know everyone says that their day was magical, but truly Glidden House is a magical venue! From the beautiful room with the chandelier and windows surrounding it as well as the antique feeling of the mansion rooms where the cocktail hour was located. To the patio with the lights that makes a beautiful place for guests to relax outside and enjoy themselves. I can't say enough about how beautiful it was and how many compliments we received. Carrie, the coordinator, helped us to plan and made sure everything ran smoothly. She set up all of our decorations so we didn't have to worry about it. The wonderful staff made sure to bring us food and drinks while we freshened up before the reception. Billy, the bartender, definitely knows what he is doing! The drinks were amazing all night and everyone enjoyed themselves. He made sure everyone was taken care of and had a fun time. Marigold Catering also did not disappoint! We did have some confusion on the timing of the evening and there was a misunderstanding in how long the event would last. In the end, it worked out well. I could not have imagined a better evening.

Couldn't be happier with our venue choice. It was an extremely classy (yet laid back) venue that felt so intimate, but also held many people. Carrie (event coordinator) was amazing from day one and thanks to her, we didn't worry about a thing. Billy the bartender was amazing...he made sure everyone had a good time, but also that no one ended up at the hospital ;) If I could do it again, I'd choose the Glidden Houes over and over! Highly recommended!!!

Couldn't be happier with our venue choice. It was an extremely classy (yet laid back) venue that felt so intimate, but also held many people. Carrie (event coordinator) was amazing from day one and thanks to her, we didn't worry about a thing. Billy the bartender was amazing...he made sure everyone had a good time, but also that no one ended up at the hospital ;) If I could do it again, I'd choose the Glidden Houes over and over! Highly recommended!!!

The Glidden House was one of the first places we looked at for our wedding venue. We knew we wanted to have a hassle free wedding day and wanted to have everything (ceremony and reception) in one amazing location, and we wanted it in an area that out of town guests will have places to walk to and enjoy a really beautiful part of Cleveland. This was definitely the place to have it! We wanted an intimate romantic garden party feel for our wedding, which is exactly what we got. A the time we booked it the new Juniper room was not built and I had already fallen in love with the idea of having a beautiful tent reception (what they had before the Juniper room). When we realized the new room would be ready in time for our wedding I got nervous I wasn't going to like the room. I was afraid it would feel like a wedding hall which I was trying to avoid. When I saw the finished room I was absolutely stunned. The pictures don't do it justice. Yes it's not a tent anymore but the room is a spectacular addition to the beautiful hotel. It still feels like your outdoors with the huge windows and french doors that bring in light let you see the beautiful landscaping around the hotel. Not only did the Glidden House provide the best backdrop and setting for our garden party wedding but working with Carrie and Maragold Catering was really great as well. They both were very easy to work with and answered questions right away. We had a few issues with double booked rooms day after our wedding but they were all fixed as quickly as they could. We did lots of diy things for our wedding, so naturally I was a little nervous about things not being set up or executed the way I had it in my head, but after Carrie from Glidden House and Katie from Maragold kept reassuring me that that's what they are there for I started to trust them and I'm glad I did. They made my vision happen. Everything turned out more beautiful than I had visioned in my head. Oh and the food. Oh my goodness was Maragold Catering amazing. They are the exclusive cater for Glidden house. I was a bit nervous about this at first because I thought that didn't give me the option of choosing them myself. However they know what they are doing. Plus less decisions I had to make made for smooth wedding planning and less headaches. Our guests still keep talking about how the Salmon was the best Salmon they've ever had (Same with the Steak and tempura fried orchid!, OMG!). We also went with a french fry bar for a late night snack which was a huge hit with our guests! Can you tell I'm a little excited about the food?! Many people have told us it was the best wedding food they've ever eaten. Honestly, if you are having a smaller wedding and want that intimate feel and don't want to go crazy while planning your wedding and want things to just fall into place (and still look and taste amazing) this is the place you want to book! It's a beautiful location for guests, beautiful location for pictures, beautiful hotel to stay in and the food was the best food! Your guests aren't going to remember all the small details you stressed over but they will remember how your wedding made them feel. A wedding at the Glidden House provides your guests with that fancy and elegent (but not stuffy) feeling and with well fed bellies you've already won them over! Really the only other thing you'll need is great music and your done planning your wedding!

The Glidden House was one of the first places we looked at for our wedding venue. We knew we wanted to have a hassle free wedding day and wanted to have everything (ceremony and reception) in one amazing location, and we wanted it in an area that out of town guests will have places to walk to and enjoy a really beautiful part of Cleveland. This was definitely the place to have it! We wanted an intimate romantic garden party feel for our wedding, which is exactly what we got. A the time we booked it the new Juniper room was not built and I had already fallen in love with the idea of having a beautiful tent reception (what they had before the Juniper room). When we realized the new room would be ready in time for our wedding I got nervous I wasn't going to like the room. I was afraid it would feel like a wedding hall which I was trying to avoid. When I saw the finished room I was absolutely stunned. The pictures don't do it justice. Yes it's not a tent anymore but the room is a spectacular addition to the beautiful hotel. It still feels like your outdoors with the huge windows and french doors that bring in light let you see the beautiful landscaping around the hotel. Not only did the Glidden House provide the best backdrop and setting for our garden party wedding but working with Carrie and Maragold Catering was really great as well. They both were very easy to work with and answered questions right away. We had a few issues with double booked rooms day after our wedding but they were all fixed as quickly as they could. We chose the Glidden House for our guests to stay due to its proximity to our wedding venue (the Botanical Garden). We also chose the Glidden House for our rehearsal dinner. Working with the staff during the months leading up to the wedding was challenging, difficult to get ahold of them, and on several occasions, received different answers to our questions when asked at different times. Our guests found it very frustrating to make reservations, both online and when calling, being told that rooms were booked (untrue) or that only certain types of rooms were available (which is true - their availability is limited). When it came to the actual wedding weekend, the staff was overall accommodating but did not go out of their way, considering it was our wedding. Walls of the guest rooms were very thin (old hotel) and many guests complained of trouble sleeping due to other loud guests that weekend. Breakfast was light and nothing to speak of. Photos prior to the wedding taken of the bridal party in the suites will be beautiful and of course the rooms/grounds of the hotel are gorgeous for photo ops. Would not recommend for large wedding parties or out of town guests.
