It's impossible to fully describe how incredible Gloriosa & Co. is in words. The venue is absolutely stunning, and Gloria is a fantastic host. We stayed the weekend (Fri-Sun), and Gloria made sure that we were taken care of every moment. She even whisked us away for a private moment after our ceremony and brought us champagne and snacks. The house and the grounds are so charming and filled with unique details - whether it's a flower blooming in the garden or in the nursery, or an antique piece of artwork in the old house, we were so grateful to find such a special setting for celebrating our wedding. The food at our reception dinner and day-after brunch simply transcended what we thought possible for wedding food. Each dish was incredibly well-made, well-plated, and delicious. Emma and her catering team are extremely talented and ensured that every detail was perfectly executed. We are food snobs with high standards, and every course exceeded our expectations. People will not stop talking about how good the food was (including our pies for dessert!).Everything was perfect. My wife teared up as she hugged Gloria good-bye on our last day! We did not want to say good-bye to this magical place. If you are looking for a beautiful venue that will give you the barn wedding of your dreams, know that you will be in fantastic hands at Gloriosa & Co. Reviewed on 06-07-2023
Teri Rutherford(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-10-2021 Every inch of this property is thoughtfully designed and delightful, around every corner there is another sweet detail. We had an 80 person wedding the barn was just the right size to allow for a family style meal, dancing and even a lounge area indoors. Cocktail hour was in the gardens and on the stone patio, and our ceremony took place in front of the dahlia field overlook the town steeple. All our gusts were blown away with how lovely everything was. Gloria, Emma and the rest of their team at the Curtis House made our day so special. Thank you so much! Reviewed on 13-02-2023
Jake Krain(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-08-2022 I cannot say enough wonderful things about Gloriosa! Set in the beautiful Hilltowns of Western Mass, Gloriosa's barn and house are a beautiful location for any wedding. My wife and I could not have been happier with how our big day went. We met with Gloria and Emma several times leading up to our wedding to go over logistics and menu planning, which we found very helpful. Gloria literally invites you into her home creating a warm and welcoming environment. Her style is stunning - from the linens, to the antique chairs, glasses, dishware, and flowers. And the food! Emma is an extraordinary cook and works with you to create a menu that fits your needs. Our guests mentioned multiple times how much they loved the food at our wedding - we served salmon and a ratatouille tart as our main entrees. Both were exceptional and we had plenty of it!Some details about our wedding:150 guests - rented a tent for everyone to dine in outsidemarried outside - guests sat on benches provided by the venueused Gloriosa's barn for dancing (it was also where the bathroom and bar were located)Other things to keep in mind: Gloriosa is located in the wonderful, small town of Ashfield. Plenty of airbnbs but the closet hotels are a 25-40 minute drive away. Reviewed on 09-01-2023
Michael Hotard(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-09-2018 My wife and I got married at the Curtis House (venue for Gloriosa and Co.) in September 2018. We loved it. The place was magical. Ashfield is charming. (Side note on Ashfield: I don't know if the town ever got cell phone coverage, but when we got married there, it was still a little oasis where people had to live in the moment because no one got cell phone reception. We thought that would be an annoying part of the weekend, but it turned out to be a perk. The town itself is small and a little out of the way, but we were able to find a number of AirBnbs for our guests, and the Red Roof Inn was not too far away. But that's Ashfield.) Back to Gloriosa & Co., working with Glo and her team was great. We had to plan the wedding from across the country, so we mostly communicated via email and phone calls. Some great things about the Curtis House venue: 1) the food. Amazing. Delicious. Customizable. They included Middle Eastern and Georgian (the country) food as part of our appetizers because they spent time asking what my wife and I loved. 2) the venue. We loved the barn setting for the dinner and the dancing. We also loved the lawn, and had our rehearsal dinner there the night before outside the barn. We actually got married in the church on the corner, but we used all the space for everything else. (Some of our friends even camped in one of the corners behind the garden. I tried to get my wife to do that, but she thought it would not be the best idea. She was probably right.) 3) Staying at the Curtis House. I didn't realize how convenient it would be to stay right at the site. And there were enough rooms to house a number of our family members. 4) Glo and her team. They were there when we needed them. They made sure everything was prepped beforehand and running smoothly on the day of. It was great knowing her Glo and her team were on our side. Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. Ashfield and the Curtis House will always have a special place in our hearts. Reviewed on 01-11-2019
I believe there is magic in spaces. Whether it be in a sprawling forest, an intricate mansion or a bubbling swamp, you can always find it in the little crevices. In my lifetime, I have tried to foster magic where I could find it. I’ve found it in our little town of Ashfield. I’ve found it in the dimples of my children. And twenty years ago, I found it in the big gray house above the town fields, inhabited by a sweet old woman named Angela O’Donnell. I fell in love with the location, the sheer scale of the house, the apple trees in the backyard, but I really fell in love with the potential of
