Wedding date 10/13/23. I have a million good things to say about the Golden Arrow and staff. From the first meeting onward, Alex, Erin and Natasha were amazing. They were always responsive and helpful for any questions we had throughout the planning process. There’s many beautiful places in Lake Placid for a wedding, but what really sold us was of course the beautiful gondola and LOCATION. Our guests loved being able to walk out of the resort onto the main street for additional dining, shopping, etc. There’s also plenty of parking at the resort and public parking all around it. We had our ceremony on the lawn, cocktail hour on the boathouse, and reception in the four seasons room. With just under 100 guests there was more than enough space without feeling overcrowded. They also had a suitable backup plan in the event of a downpour, but we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather. The bridal suite is extremely spacious with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Mirror Lake. They have curtains if you’re worried about guests looking in on you getting ready. There’s also a restroom inside the suite. Erin checked in throughout the day to see if we needed anything and answer any last minute questions we may have had. My husband and I opted not to do a first look, so our photographs did a great job keeping us separated before the ceremony as the resort is quite spacious.There are so many beautiful spots on the property for photos beyond the obvious lake/mountain views. Our photographer and DJ were recommended by the Golden Arrow. We were very happy with their familiarity with the resort and the staff as they have worked together on multiple occasions. This made for smooth sailing throughout the day. (Photos: Jeff Welt, DJ: MX Productions)Alex noticed the song I walked down the aisle to was a Foo Fighters song and when she took us out on the gondola played Foo Fighters music for us. It made it even more memorable and fun. The resort was very accommodating to dietary restrictions. We did a buffet and Natasha made sure everything was labeled accordingly. Erin made sure my husband and I got appetizers between photos and greetings. She also went above and beyond to accommodate my celiac disease restrictions. Natasha also made sure my husband and I got our drinks and dinner as guests were occupying much of our time. We had an amazing reception full on nonstop dancing, and when that ended we moved the party to the nightclub Roomers which is conveniently located next door. You can also access it through the resort as the buildings are attached. 10/10 would recommend!

The two wedding coordinators, Alex and Erin, are beyond exceptional and makes the days leading up to the wedding and wedding day as easy as possible. The weekend of our wedding, both Alex and Erin, went above and beyond to make sure we were ready for our big day. Literally not one thing went wrong the day of the wedding thanks to them. Almost all our guests have told us it was one of the most beautiful and best weddings they have ever been too. I wish we could redo our wedding day over and over at the Golden Arrow. It was the best decision my husband and I had made. Alex and Erin are truly the best.

My husband and I got married on 10/01/23 at the Golden Arrow in Lake Placid, NY. We have nothing but great things to say. We have been coming to Lake Placid for years together and we knew we wanted to get married in one of our favorite places. We chose the Golden Arrow because it is in a beautiful setting, lake side, and everything is in one place which all of our guests loved. After the ceremony you can take a just married boat ride and have a champagne toast, which was one of the best moments we had of the night. Our guest count was about 95, which was the perfect size for the reception space. I would recommend looking else where for larger weddings over 130 people. Alex and Erin are so friendly and fun. The groomsmen wanted to take a boat ride during cocktail hour and Alex took them out, which we thought was so cool! From the moment that we booked to the day of our wedding I want to thank Erin, Alex, and Natasha for answering every email promptly with a positive attitude, even the silly ones. They definitely help anxious brides feel at ease and we knew we had nothing to worry about the day of. If you want a medium sized Lake Placid wedding, do not look any further than the Golden Arrow. We had the best weekend of our lives and would do it over again if we could! :)

Golden Arrow was the DREAM wedding venue for us!! The location alone is stunning right in the heart of lake placid on Mirror Lake but then on top of that they have an outstanding team working there. Alex and Erin were huge helps from the very beginning and Natasha came in closer to the wedding date for specifics. Even our first time touring Alex made us feel welcome and excited about having our wedding there that when we were done it wasn’t even a question of IF, it was a question of WHEN! They were extremely communicative and very accommodating with food requests. They answered all of our questions and it felt like they always had our best interest at heart and we’re genuinely excited for us. When I barely ate any dinner or dessert they (along with the pit side planner) boxed it up and left it in our room which is really thoughtful. There’s a stunning bridal room for getting ready overlooking the water. The meals were fantastic, the reception space was beautiful, and the hotel itself just has so much to offer. We also had a morning after wedding brunch and that food was just as amazing! It’s more than just a wedding venue, it’s a place we hope to return to for years to come.

My husband and I got married at the beautiful Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort on 10/10/2022 and our experience was incredible. From start to finish, communication with Alex, Erin, and Natasha was flawless and you can tell they are truly invested in the outcome of your wedding day. Any time I had a question throughout the planning process, they were quick to answer and never made you feel like a burden despite knowing how busy they are each and every day. On the day of our wedding, they were so much fun to work with and made us feel so at ease with their calm demeanors and sense of humor. As for the venue, what is there to say? It speaks for itself with how gorgeous it is! We were married on the North Lawn overlooking the lake and breathtaking mountains. After the ceremony, our guests were moved to the Boathouse for a lovely cocktail hour while my husband and I were taken on a boat ride around Mirror Lake to have a few moments to ourselves. Our reception was held inside and the food was incredible. We are coming up on our 1-year anniversary (and will be heading back to the Golden Arrow to celebrate - woo hoo!) and to this day, we still have guests telling us how it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever been to. If you are looking to have the most magical wedding, look no further than the Golden Arrow. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Alex, Erin, and all of the staff. We got married this past June at the Golden Arrow and it quite literally was the best day of our lives. It is the most beautiful and perfect place to get married. We are so happy we went with Golden Arrow in Lake Placid. Alex & Erin were incredible to work with as our wedding coordinators. From the start of working with them, the planning leading up, to the day of - we are so pleased with the entire process. Alex & Erin are seriously THE BEST! Both of them are really friendly and fun to work, so attentive to a bride’s details, had our wedding day flow seamlessly and really added special touches to make our entire weekend there so special to us. Not to mention - accommodations right at the venue for guests were so nice to have, the VIEWS simply speak for themself, the staff is amazing (shout out to Natasha, cousin Vinny and Charles!) and the food was incredible. If you are looking for a wedding venue that has a space for your ceremony (right on Mirror Lake with the gorgeous Adirondack Mountains in the background), cocktail hour, reception and most importantly somewhere all of your guests can stay, then seriously look no further. Lake Placid has always been a special place for us and I never imagined that we would be able to get married there, but the Golden Arrow made that more than possible! Words cannot begin to describe how grateful we are to Alex, Erin, Maureen, and the rest of the staff who helped make our day so incredibly special. We have the unique challenge of currently living abroad, but they handled all of the planning and preparation (even while coordinating over video chat and dealing with a 6-hour time difference). Our guests were blown away by how conveniently located the resort was from literally everything. All of the shops in the village of Lake Placid, tons of restaurant options, the Olympic attractions, and incredible hiking areas. So many of them came up to us afterward and told us that they planned to come back to Lake Placid just because of amazing the experience they had at our wedding and at the Golden Arrow. When people ask us about our wedding day, we honestly cannot think of a single thing that went wrong or that we would have done differently. It was everything that we hoped it would be and more, and we seriously have the Golden Arrow and their staff to thank!

If you are looking for a venue in the Adirondacks/Lake Placid area, we cannot recommend Golden Arrow enough! The venue speaks for itself - being right on Mirror Lake with the mountains in the background, combined with a lovely resort hotel is more than enough reason to book your wedding there! The staff however is what really made our day so special. Alex, Erin, and Natasha were so incredibly helpful from the very start. We had TONS of questions and they were always able to answer everything and be flexible with requests. They were super organized which made both planning and day of super easy and chill. We felt extremely confident with them and trusted them with everything - it truly felt like they were invested in you and your day rather than just being all business. We loved having the hotel option right there on-site for our guests, and everyone loved having the beach and activities right at the hotel in addition to being able to walk around and explore the town super easily. The food and drink choices were fantastic (we still crave some of the hors d'oeuvres from our reception), and literally everything went to plan. All in all, we had the best day ever and cannot thank Golden Arrow, Alex, Erin, and Natasha enough!

Alex Natasha and the rest of the Golden Arrow crew made our day even better than we could have hoped for! We got married out on the boat house in February! It was a chilly day but the staff made it happen! They even set up the hot coco bar for us outside which our guests raved about! We felt they made our ceremony private even though the hotel was full! I don’t even know how to begin to describe how delicious our food was! My husband and I and all guests who attended had a wonderful time and bring up the hotel and accommodations frequently! Alex Natasha and the rest of the Golden Arrow crew made our day even better than we could have hoped for! We got married out on the boat house in February! It was a chilly day but the staff made it happen! They even set up the hot coco bar for us outside which our guests raved about! We felt they made our ceremony private even though the hotel was full! I don’t even know how to begin to describe how delicious our food was! My husband and I and all guests who attended had a wonderful time and bring up the hotel and accommodations frequently! Thank you all who made this possible for us we wouldn’t have had it any other place!

Alex, Erin and Natasha and the rest of the Golden Arrow team were great! They all made the planning process so easy, especially since we both live on the west coast. Alex was able to give us a virtual tour before we booked and then one in real life when we visited for our menu tasting (everything is delicious!).Due to rising travel costs many of our international friends and family could not make it , so it was a smaller event than initially planned, but the team was able to help accommodate the smaller event as much as they could based on our contract. Everything was well organized and ran smoothly during all our wedding related events. We certainly felt like we got our moneys worth and then some!

The food from Generations was a big hit (my favorite was the Mac and cheese)! She even helped us coordinate a night cap at Generations after 10 pm. All the staff were just so sweet. Kim at the front desk took some lovely photos of our ceremony from the balcony. And probably my favorite thing - when we got back to our room, the staff had printed out a photo of us on the boat, framed it, and put it in our room! So sweet! We can’t thank the staff at Golden Arrow enough - they’re the best!

We recently had our wedding there April 10, 2022. From the minute we checked in until we left the staff was wonderful. Doing a destination wedding can seem difficult but the staff at the hotel made it easy. They went over the itinerary, made sure our guests were happy, and made sure we had everything we needed. We asked for a steamer for the wedding dress and bridesmaid dress which Vinny provided to us. Alex was great to work with throughout the entire process. Answering questions about rooms, guests, and vendors. The hotel even called the restaurant that we had the rehearsal dinner to ensure that the restaurant we were eating at treated us right. They provided us with gifts when we arrived. Then after the ceremony we went up to the room to find two photos left on the bed of the ceremony. The food was excellent. The steak, chicken, and fish were excellent. The steak guests raved about for days. They even accommodated our one vegetarian by making a special meal just for them. In addition they easily handed the allergies that some of the guests had. The reception room, the 4 seasons, was perfect. The lightening can change for different moods which was great. Not only was the wedding handled perfectly but the hotel itself is gorgeous. Overlooking the lake with the mountains surrounding was perfect. We even had some late April snow so they made sure to turn on the fire pits so the guests could warm up next to them. The staff was perfect, the experience was great, and easy. I highly recommend the Golden Arrow for a destination wedding in Lake Placid, NY.

The wedding day of my dreams!!! If you are looking for a venue that has a space for your ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and most importantly somewhere all your guests can stay.. look no further than the Golden Arrow! Our wedding weekend was everything and more and it is all thanks to the wonderful staff. Alex, Natasha and Brandon were there every step of the way to ensure the day went went as planned. The venue speaks for itself, I was hooked after the first few minutes of our tour! The hotel is family owned and operated and it truly made it that much more special for us. You honestly feel like the only bride they are working with and they are all always there to help. I was a 2021 bride and Covid threw alot of curve balls, but Alex was always so positive and kept me up to date on everything the Golden Arrow was doing to follow each new set of guidelines NY state put out. The food was incredible and many of my guests are still talking about it! We lucked out with the perfect fall weather as well. The cocktail hour space was so perfect for all of our guests to be able to mingle with one another and look out over the lake. One of our favorite moments of the entire wedding day was when we were able to go out on the lake in their wooden boat to spend some time alone right after the ceremony. With so much going on the entire day, it was so special to be able to spend some time alone with my husband and get some AMAZING shots as our photographer came along for the ride too. The reception space is perfect as it is located right next to the ceremony space with a beautiful view of the lake. We loved that our guests were all able to stay at the Golden Arrow and make a weekend of it. We are so happy we picked the Golden Arrow because we now can go back each year to spend time where we got married. The entire wedding day from start to finish was absolutely perfect and I highly recommend booking the Golden Arrow for your wedding!

If you are lucky enough that they have your date available book it now. My husband and I were lucky enough to have our wedding celebration with the GA team and our guests are still talking about it weeks later. Alex, Brandon, and Natasha SEAMLESSLY coordinated three days of events for us (welcome happy hour, ceremony & reception, farewell brunch). They did not miss a beat. Not only were they always responsive, no matter how little the question, but they SHOWED UP for us on one of the biggest weekends of our lives. As a bride, I had some moments where I needed help with other vendors and they took every single thing in stride and handled it themselves. We'd honestly get married again each year if it meant seeing this amazing group again, as they were just class acts all the way through. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you GA team. Seriously, book them- you absolutely won't regret it.

I cannot imagine getting married at a more tranquil and beautiful place than the Golden Arrow! My husband and I were looking for a place that was surrounded by nature and natural beauty, was low-key, and still had everything you need to have a ceremony and reception in the same spot. The Golden Arrow had everything and more. It is a very eco-friendly resort, it is woman and independently-owned, and it has beautiful accommodations, and ceremony and reception spaces. The people that helped us really made it special. The entire staff is great, but Alex and Natasha are especially amazing! Alex worked with us from day 1 when we were scouting venues, all the way through to our wedding day when we had to make a last minute time change to our ceremony. She helped at every single step and was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and generous with her time. We were incredibly fortunate that we did not have to alter our wedding plans due to COVID-19, but Alex and Natasha kept us updated on all changes that were occurring with plenty of notice. Both Natasha and Alex were fantastic and I cannot say enough good things about them! I also want to note that the food is DELICIOUS. Our guests have not stopped talking about how good the food was, and I wish I still had some leftovers. If I could leave a higher review, I would. %100 recommend!

Where do we begin?! We cannot thank the Golden Arrow enough for an incredible Anniversary Celebration weekend. From our first email and phone interaction, we knew this would be such a great fit. We had the best weekend imaginable. So many of our guests said how impressed they were with the helpfulness of the front desk staff, and especially at the celebration. When we arrived on Friday, we were immediately greeted with smiles, can-do attitudes and genuine excitement for our big weekend. We had so many waves of people arriving, bringing totes, dropping off bags and so much more but the staff never made it seem like an issue, a chore or were bothered. THANK YOU for storing our flowers and cake - what a huge load off of us.The food, drinks and service were outstanding, which are so important. Alex was totally right - there was so much at late night as we were unsure if what we ordered was enough. There was plenty! We could go on and on about this weekend, but it meant so much to us that Golden Arrow worked with us as a couple through the challenging 2020-2021 season. Can’t recommend the Golden Arrow enough!

We can honestly not say enough great things about having our wedding at the Golden Arrow. Our original plan was not to have our wedding day at the GA but only our rehearsal dinner but with Covid restrictions we had to get a backup plan quick. Alex and her team stepped in quickly with a month turn around time to make our wedding day a reality and a dream come true. Through all the ups and downs we were faced in light of Covid and having to postpone our ceremony of due to rain and jump quickly into cocktail hour, everything was perfect! Alex, Natasha and Brandon are a great team. Alex is by far the best wedding coordinator around, she truly wants whats best for the couple and will do anything to make your day something you'll always remember. Natasha was amazing ,working one on one with us, helping plan our dinner. With all the changes we had to make we don't reject any of them, if we had the choice we would relive the day again! I would highly recommend the GA for a rehearsal dinner or wedding! Best views around, best staff, best food and best time!

Our original plan was not to have our wedding day at the GA but only our rehearsal dinner but with Covid restrictions we had to get a backup plan quick. Alex and her team stepped in quickly with a month turn around time to make our wedding day a reality and a dream come true. Through all the ups and downs we were faced in light of Covid and having to postpone our ceremony of due to rain and jump quickly into cocktail hour, everything was perfect! Alex, Natasha and Brandon are a great team. Alex is by far the best wedding coordinator around, she truly wants whats best for the couple and will do anything to make your day something you'll always remember. Natasha was amazing ,working one on one with us, helping plan our dinner. With all the changes we had to make we don't reject any of them, if we had the choice we would relive the day again! I would highly recommend the GA for a rehearsal dinner or wedding! Best views around, best staff, best food and best time!

We cannot say enough good things about the Golden Arrow. It is the most beautiful setting for a wedding, right on Mirror Lake. However, what really sets it apart is the venue itself. Alex is absolutely incredible and was so helpful when we had to dramatically shift our wedding plans due to covid. We were able to do a small ceremony on the boathouse and go on the most beautiful gondola ride after the ceremony. The GA itself has many nice amenities for your guests and is right in the heart of Lake Placid. We cannot recommend highly enough, best wedding venue in NY, hands down.

During that time, Alex and Brandon were very accommodating, going out of their way to make sure we were provided with everything we needed, whether it be room for storage or help with first look locations. Beyond that, there was so much to do around town and the surrounding area that our guests were able to enjoy themselves as they arrived throughout the week. As I read other good reviews about the experience on the day of their wedding, I could not agree more. Our day was absolutely perfect. Leading up to our date of arrival for the wedding Alex and Natasha did a great job communicating with us around any questions we had. We arrived to the Golden Arrow on Thursday morning and were getting married on Saturday, December 14th. Alex, Brandon, and Natasha met with us that morning to discuss some final wedding details. From that moment on, every staff member at the front desk was aware that we were the bride and groom. They helped us with all the small things like holding some bags at the front desk, providing tape, sharpies, etc. when it came to our last minute details. Alex was prompt to help us with anything we needed while we were working on set up of our space. Our \"cousin Vinny\" checked in on us several times and helped with anything we needed. He was so friendly to have at the resort and was willing to help us with any needs or questions we had. What I appreciated most about Alex is that she had a clear vision on what our dream day looked like. All week the weather had called for heavy rain and we planned on having our ceremony on the top of the boathouse. Both Alex and Brandon encouraged us to not let the rain get in the way if we really wanted to be outside while saying our vows. So we did just that! The night before the wedding a large group of ours went to Generations (connected to Golden Arrow) for welcome drinks and dinner. The staff in Generations were accommodating to our large group of 30 people. The day of the wedding, the rain held off. If I were to sum this up in words, I would say it was absolutely perfect and we would not change one thing about it. The bridal room we used was a dream to get ready in. It was so beautiful, and perfect for a group of 13 females (or more). Alex and Brandon checked in on me throughout the morning hours, and when it came time for the ceremony Alex was right there-- Thank you! I was so happy I even said \"I do\" too soon!Once the reception began Natasha was present in the evening hours. She asked us several times if we needed anything at all. To be honest I think my response each time was \"I'm perfect\". I couldn't think of anything because our day was everything we wanted it to be. The Four Seasons room looked stunning, the food was delicious, and our group and their dance moves were on point (thanks to Lake Placid DJ). That night when Matt and I went to our room we found a photo of us during our ceremony, and a note from the team at Golden Arrow. What a thoughtful touch and the best gift we could have received after such a special day. Thank you Golden Arrow for everything your whole team did to make us feel so special. Alex, Brandon, Natasha, front desk, and cousin Vinny this experience would not have been what it was without you. We will be back for our 1 year anniversary (and hopefully sooner). Alex and Natasha’s attention to detail allowed me to enjoy every second of the day and live in the moment instead of worrying all day. Mostly, we were impressed by the little details and level of care from everyone at the resort; From the people setting up the banquet room to Natasha making sure the food was on point, and even the bartenders knowing our names! These are the simple things that blew me away and made us feel like family. I am not even sure where to begin. This was the best decision we made regarding our wedding plans. From the first conversation I had with Alex, my mind was put at ease. We made the decision right then and there. We had stayed at the Golden Arrow before and loved everything about it. We thought it would be the perfect place to have a weekend long wedding celebration with all our closest family and friends. Boy, were we right! Alex handled and coordinated everything right from the beginning. We did not worry about anything. She helped us with every decision. The planning phase can be stressful, but with Alex managing things, we were calm as could be. The weekend of our wedding, was no exception. We, as well as our guests, were treated like family from the moment we got there. The way the rooms for the wedding guests are layers out is perfect. Keeps everyone close. Such a beautiful hotel. So much for everyone to do. The beach and water sports/boats kept all the kids occupied. We had our welcome reception at Generations the night before our wedding. What a fun time. Again, everything ran smooth and I did not have to worry or think about a thing. Food was delicious, drinks were on point and atmosphere phenomenal. The day of our wedding was exceptional. Again, I can’t stress enough, how everything was managed so well, and all went smoothly. Between Alex, Natasha, and Brandon, we had the wedding of our dreams. Alex made sure our wedding ceremony, which was under the arbor, lakeside went off without a hitch. She even took us on a gondola ride, which made for beautiful pictures. The cocktail hour was on the Boathouse. It was gorgeous! Natasha did such a fantastic job with the food and beverage side of things. She is fantastic at her job! The reception in the newly remodeled Four Seasons room was exactly as we imagined. Everything about it was perfect. Food, atmosphere, just top notch. I can not stress enough, how wonderful this venue is. Every employee at the Golden Arrow went out of their way to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams. And we did! They thought of every little detail. After our reception ended, we went up to our room to change and found 3 beautiful pictures from our ceremony, laying on our bed. Just such a beautiful, personal touch. I can’t tell you how many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I know, it was the best wedding I had ever been to! Thank you to the Alex, Natasha, Brandon and all of the Golden Arrow staff for making our wedding weekend the absolute best time of our lives!!!

From the moment we walked into the Golden Arrow, we were taken care of. We were staying 1 night (the night of our Rehearsal “cocktail party” that we were throwing on their Boathouse) and then using the Black Forest Room as the bridal room for the morning of the wedding. I had selected another venue before I had even met Alex at the Golden Arrow, and honestly if I had met her previously I probably would have had my wedding there. The set up they did for our Rehearsal “cocktail party” on the Boathouse was seriously magical. I had dropped off some simple decorations earlier to Alex and Brandon and they were so accommodating to use them during set up. They even let us in early to basically take over their office with all our stuff for the next day as well. They really know what they are doing and know how to treat their guests in an amazing way while doing so. They made us feel very special and any worries that we might have had completely melted away. I couldn’t believe the set up for the Rehearsal but also the next day on the morning of our wedding. The Black Forest Room space is simply gorgeous, and Brandon was in and out all day making sure we had water, utensils, etc. I would 100% recommend staying at the Golden Arrow while in LP, but also if you have any size event. They treated us like royalty and we weren’t even having our wedding there, so I can imagine how amazing they treat you at your actual wedding!! Alex was extremely responsive during the entire planning process and was able to provide guidance and solutions to any problems that came up. Our wedding experience was a dream come true and I give all the credit to Alex, Natasha, Brandon, and the entire GA staff. Everyone we spoke to helped us through the process and answered every question we had with confidence and ease. When we arrived three days before the wedding we were treated like gold. On the day of the wedding we both felt so special and taken care of, it was like a fairytale. We were scheduled for an outside cocktail hour but the weather wouldn’t allow that and the Golden arrow staff made it work elsewhere without a glitch. It was great. The cocktail hour was great. The dinners were unbelievable. Chef Chris knocked it out of the park and then some. The hotel provides water activities and a beach that all of us and our guests enjoyed each day we were there. Without going on too much I just cannot say enough great things about the Golden Arrow as both a hotel and even more so a wedding venue. If I could, I’d do it all over again, maybe once a year just to get to experience every second over and over again. Thank you to all of you from the bottom of our hearts. We held our wedding on the lawn lakeside at Golden Arrow recently and cannot day enough good things about the venue, staff, food and service, everything was top notch. Our wedding planner Alex, Natasha, restaurant manager of Generations where we held our reception, and the entire staff at GA went above and beyond throughout the whole process to ensure our special day was everything we hoped it would be, and it exceeded our expectations. This is a family run operation and you feel that personal accountability and effort in everything they do. We would highly recommend anyone hosting a wedding, staying for a weekend or even just looking for great food to go to GA, we certainly became loyal lifelong customers!

The Golden Arrow created an amazing wedding experience! Alex, the wedding coordinator, provider for our every need and so much more. They have the perfect set up, right on Mirror Lake and in down town Lake Placid. We rented the Black Forest Room which was a great gathering place that walks right out onto Mirror Lake. Our guests loved ice skating, dog sledding, and walking around the down town. The reception room at Generations Restaurant was perfect. The fireplace gave it a cozy feel. The food was absolutely fantastic and the service was incredible throughout the resort. We heard over and over again that this was the best wedding our guests had ever been to. I can't recommend the Golden Arrow highly enough!

The Golden Arrow created an amazing wedding experience! Alex, the wedding coordinator, provider for our every need and so much more. They have the perfect set up, right on Mirror Lake and in down town Lake Placid. We rented the Black Forest Room which was a great gathering place that walks right out onto Mirror Lake. Our guests loved ice skating, dog sledding, and walking around the down town. The reception room at Generations Restaurant was perfect. The fireplace gave it a cozy feel. The food was absolutely fantastic and the service was incredible throughout the resort. We heard over and over again that this was the best wedding our guests had ever been to. I can't recommend the Golden Arrow highly enough!

From beginning to end, Alex worked with us to make sure our day was everything we wanted. Planning from a distance (about 4 hours) was a breeze. Alex was quick to respond to any questions we had and was professional and easy going. The girls got ready in the Black Forest room and it was the perfect getting ready space. We had our ceremony on top of the boathouse and it was absolutely breathtaking. Our reception at Generations restaurant was beautiful, and the food was delicious. Natasha the restaurant manager, was great and quickly answered many emails (on my end) to help plan the best layout of the reception space for all of our guests. Having a destination wedding, it was a priority to have the ceremony, reception and hotel rooms all in one place. And being on Main Street is a plus because you can walk to anything in town. Many of our guests commented how all of the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We couldn’t recommend the Golden Arrow enough and are so thankful for all of the staff who made our day absolutely perfect!! We are forever grateful for all of you!

If you are looking to get married in the Lake Placid area, definitely put the Golden Arrow on your list for venues! Our whole experience working with the team was seamless and the event coordinator Alex is an absolute rockstar! As a couple planning a destination wedding for ~100 guests in Lake Placid from another country, it was so helpful to have someone like Alex to work with throughout the year leading up to our wedding day. She was attentive to emails, phone calls and any questions we had and I always felt like things were under control. We had a fall wedding outside under the arbour with our cocktail and reception in Generations Restaurant. We had planned on a boathouse cocktail hour but due to weather, opted to shift this inside on the day of and the staff handled this with complete ease. Luckily the weather cooperated for the ceremony and we were able to exchange vows outside as planned, the scenery overlooking the lake with the fall foliage really made for the perfect setting, we couldn't have asked for anything better. Natasha and the restaurant staff at Generations were also fantastic to work with, they offered great suggestions and were able to accommodate some adjustments/substitutions based on our needs which was wonderful. The food was great and our guests gave us so much positive feedback about how much they enjoyed their meals/appetizers... No one left hungry! Also, the bridal room downstairs was an absolute godsend for getting ready in, we weren't all crammed in someone's hotel room and had lots of space for hair/make-up/snacks etc. From start to finish, everyone on site was incredibly helpful and accommodating to us and our guests throughout our stay, even as our numbers changed leading up to the date they worked some serious magic and it definitely eased a lot of my worries/stress on the big day. Alex connected us with some great vendors, including Lee (Lake Placid DJ), making our experience that much better. My only regret is that we can't relive the whole day again, it went by so fast. We are looking forward to returning to celebrate future anniversaries and would not hesitate recommending this venue to other couples!

When we first started getting in contact with venues in Lake Placid, I was a bit dismayed. That was until I spoke with Alex at the Golden Arrow. Not only was she friendly, organized, and communicative, but I could count on her to set expectations, follow through, and stay in touch throughout the process. Having a destination wedding, you want to work with someone you can trust, and Alex was by far the most trustworthy and reliable venue event coordinator we met. It was easy to set up times to visit and speak with her. She worked closely with us to make the wedding an event that was truly ours. She was up front with what could and couldn't be done, and she was amazing to have the day-of to coordinate with our planner and make sure everything went well. Natasha, the reception coordinator, was also absolutely amazing to work with. She kept us informed and updated throughout the process, worked well with our timeline, was flexible when we moved things around, and was there the night of to ensure everything went according to plan. The hotel was gorgeous and clean, the ceremony was BEAUTIFUL overlooking the lake, the reception was perfect, and our guests just raved about the food. I am beyond thrilled that we got married at the Arrow, and would highly, highly recommend working with them! If you want folks who are communicative, friendly, and organized, you should absolutely get married here. Plus, the location was just amazing - right on the lake and right on the main street, so our guests could visit and enjoy the town easily. I can't say enough good things about the Arrow, Alex, and Natasha. Get married here!!

This venue and team were AMAZING! We were looking for a place to have our destination wedding, we looked at so many places but everything was so out of our price range or just not us. This venue is stunning, and was in our budget. Alex and Natasha became our best friends during the process and we truly feel we are at home at the Golden Arrow. My wedding was everything I imagined and we enjoyed every second of our wedding weekend. Our guest still are talking about how awesome and beautiful everything was. I would recommend this venue to everyone. They won’t disappoint. ❤️

I cannot say enough good things about this venue. Our entire experience from beginning to end was phenomenal. If I have to start somewhere, it's gotta be with Alex. In the beginning stages of wedding planning, I was so stressed and didn't know where to start. Once I met Alex and said yes to the venue, all my worries were gone. Myself, my (now) husband, and my family were all put at ease fast! I will forever be grateful to her and am happy to have gained a friendship from this experience. As this was a destination wedding, five hours from home, Alex was on top of everything and made it all so easy. The entire team at Golden Arrow including Brandon, Alex, and Natasha made our day truly special and the entire event went without a hitch! Everything was literally PERFECT. Our ceremony was outside with the Adirondack Mountains as our backdrop, the cocktail hour was held on top of the boathouse, and we had the reception inside the Generation Restaurant. The bridal suite is also so beautiful and we were lucky to have such a great space to get ready in! I am a huge foodie and I have to rave about the food. Everything was so yummy. Be sure to get the coconut shrimp for an hor d'oeuvre - I still cannot get over how delicious they were! Customer service truly says a lot about a business and this team deserves to be recognized. I will say it again, outstanding customer service and the staff is second to none. We will definitely be back!

There’s so much I love about the Golden Arrow I don’t know where to start! If I had to draft a list of “What Makes the Golden Arrow Awesome” top of that list is Alex! We worked with her for our room blocks for our wedding guests and planning our pre-wedding party. She was AMAZING! We got engaged at the Golden Arrow and REALLY wanted to incorporate it into our wedding beyond just having room blocks there, and Alex was wonderful at creating options for us to have a wedding welcome party there. The Golden Arrow seemed like the perfect fit for a welcome party and and the fact that Alex was such a pleasure to deal with solidified the choice for us to host an event with them. We had a party for around 50 people and by the end of the night we had guests saying to us “this is amazing! We can’t believe this isn’t even the wedding yet!”, that’s how awesome of a welcome party they put together! Alex was 100% on the ball and made the stress of trying to plan an event from 3 hours away effortless. Yes, you heard me. Effortless. Her responses were so timely and she knew my needs before I even knew what my needs were! What I had expected to be a very overwhelming process was a piece of cake thanks to her! We booked the back room of Generations restaurant and it was the most ideal location! It was plenty of space for everyone to mingle and take in the gorgeous views. I have Celiac disease and Alex even went as far to make sure I had my own plate of food I could eat even though our menu wasn’t exclusively gluten free! They left no detail untouched! If you’re looking for a wedding venue or a pre-wedding venue do yourself a favor and book the Golden Arrow!

Such a beautiful location! The Golden Arrow hosted our wedding guests, rehearsal lunch, goodbye brunch and ceremony for our Labor Day weekend wedding this year and it did not disappoint! Alex and Brandon were so easy to work with and very down to earth. They helped make the weekend so special and memorable for us and all of our guests. Honestly one of the most beautiful places to stay to enjoy the lake and great company - plus free water toys, such as kayaks, paddle boards and canoes! The venue was such a big hit with our guests, we will probably plan a vow renewal down the road too.

Well better late than never, but had to write about the amazing experience we had holding our intimate wedding here. The staff is absolutely amazing...they make the experience what it is. They are caring, kind, accommodating and make you feel like family. From the fist moment we stopped in to talk about our day, to the last moment we left the hotel, they were there to help with everything. All the staff was amazing, but especially our coordinator Alex. She answered all 500 questions we had, helped us make changes, and provided tons of recommendations which was so important to a couple that didn't really have a clear vision. We just wanted something small and memorable and wanted our guests that were traveling from all over the country to have a great time. And that they did. The rooms were great, the service was great, the food was great and the view was just spectacular. I can't imagine a better place we could have held our day. And we looked at several venues in the area...this was the ONLY one we felt like they cared about us and weren't just churning out weddings every day. We were NOT just another couple to them, and we felt like we were leaving family by the end of our weekend. We are looking forward to visiting every year and remembering our wonderful wedding weekend!

My wife and I were married at the Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort on July 28th 2018. Everything was beautiful. The Event Planner (Alex) and Restaurant Manager (Natasha) were so accommodating and kind. They made us feel like queens on our special day!In fact, every staff member we encountered (front desk, restaurant, housekeeping, etc.) was friendly, accommodating, and professional. Even though we planned the entire wedding over the phone and through emails because we live in North Carolina, we felt confident that Alex understood our needs and was available and willing to help whenever we needed her. We were married by the arbor in front of Mirror Lake. It was a beautiful evening and all of the decorations and chairs were set out just as we requested. Guests watched us get married from their balconies and the beach, and many of them congratulated us throughout our stay whenever they saw us!Our cocktail hour was located on top of the boathouse which was perfect in size and location. We were even closer to the water and had a beautiful view of the sunset. There was a fire pit and comfortable seating with high top tables as well.We had our reception in the private dining room above Generations restaurant. It was the perfect size for our small wedding party to dance the night away! I loved that we had access to the small balcony outside. We had high top tables placed out there for people to set their drinks on as they talked to one another. There was a stone gas fireplace in the corner of the room that we could have lit but it was far too warm. We were allowed to decorate the room however we liked and use the house PA system if we wanted to without any extra charges. The day after our wedding and reception, the staff placed all of our decorations in boxes and bags and brought them to the front desk for us to load into our cars. We did not have to break down anything that we set up! We stayed in the Haystack suite on the 4th floor. It has a jacuzzi tub in the living area and an amazing rain head shower in the bathroom. There is even a towel warmer just outside the tub! Our balcony looked out at Mirror Lake and The Boathouse and we could also see the arbor where we wed. They gave us a welcome present and right after our reception when we returned to our room there was a framed photograph of our ceremony with a card waiting for us from the hotel staff. This was the wedding of our dreams... and it was made possible by the caring staff and breathtaking location of the Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort.Because of the Golden Arrow, we will always have fond memories of our wedding, and we hope to spend future anniversaries there!

Golden Arrow hosted our out of town guests and our farewell brunch for our wedding weekend, and we couldn't have been more pleased with their care and service. Every person that I worked with there went above and beyond their line of duty - even giving us additional vendor recommendations as we were planning from out of town! Alex was so attentive and helpful always and we never felt she was too busy for our questions or needs. The front desk also made sure to be well informed of our wedding details so that they could inform guests as needed. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and an absolute relief knowing we were staying in a beautiful space with an overextension of care.

We got married at the Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort this past August and everything exceeded our expectations. We live in Dutchess County, NY and we traveled near and far for several months to find the perfect venue for us. We finally made the trip up to Lake Placid to check out a few venues and we weren’t leaving until we booked a place. As soon as we met with Brandon and toured the resort, we knew Golden Arrow was the spot for us to become Mr. and Mrs.! We selected the lakeside for our ceremony with beautiful views of Whiteface Mountain in the background, the boathouse for our cocktail hour, and Generations for our reception. Brandon, Alex, and Natasha were in constant contact with us until the big day. They truly made our dreams come true! Our ceremony was beautiful and flawless, Brandon and Alex did a great job organizing it. Also, the bartenders at our cocktail hour were extremely friendly and outgoing. I feel like they don’t get enough credit at weddings, so we just wanted to thank them for their services! Our reception in Generations was unique because it wasn’t your typical big open room, it was rustic, cozy, and beautifully decorated. Natasha and Chris helped us develop a BBQ menu that our guests raved about, it was absolutely delicious! After the wedding, there was some miscommunication about saving our wedding cake. Natasha went above and beyond to solve this issue. She paid attention to every detail within the restaurant and eased our minds about any concerns that we had. She was a breeze to work with! Our guests loved the accommodations, especially the gorgeous views of Mirror Lake and the mountains. It was the perfect location for our guests to walk into town and check out the shops and restaurants as well. They truly got to experience the beauty of Lake Placid. We cannot thank the Golden Arrow team enough for making our wedding day exceptionally beautiful and memorable. We love you all and we can’t wait to return! Love, Mr. and Mrs. Barry

Equally as important was the extraordinary experience created by the staff. Brandon, Alex, Natasha, and the rest of the team were nothing short of spectacular! Every expectation that we had was exceeded. This team was exemplary in every sense of the word! Communication was timely, coordination with vendors was seamless, and any questions or concerns were addressed with the utmost thoughtfulness and professionalism. They truly valued our business and were genuinely committed to ensuring our wedding day was perfect.From providing celebratory champagne and creating an allergen free menu, to customizing the reception layout to accommodate our specific party needs, the restaurant delivered… and the food was phenomenal! Guests raved about the atmosphere, the culinary creations and the stellar customer service that was provided by the staff. Our get ready rooms were gorgeous, overlooking the serenity of Lake Mirror nestled in the Adirondack Mountains. Words will never be able to express how truly grateful we are, as our wedding day was over and beyond! Our wonderful experiences and interactions we had while staying at the Golden Arrow will always be fondly remembered and we will certainly be back to visit and celebrate in the future. The Golden Arrow will always have our highest regard and anyone would be lucky to have their wedding celebration at this resort.

Every person we worked with at the Golden Arrow and Generations was professional but also personal. The staff made our entire stay wonderful, from placing our welcome bags into our family's rooms to leaving a couple extra k cups in our room since we're big coffee drinkers. A special thanks to Alex and Olivia who made our short but sweet ceremony memorable.

Nice sweet hotel right on gorgeous Mirror Lake. It was beautiful, and we LOVED the free boats they had available! The only downside was that from Tuesday for the rest of the week was pretty cold - but it was still sunny and gorgeous!
