The Golden Glow provided on-site catering and bar service for our Yeo & Yeo 100th Anniversary Open House and the food and service was excellent! We had over 300 guests and they all raved about the food and the catering and bar team provided outstanding service! We had plenty of food and they did a great job of cleaning up before they left! Jessica did a fantastic job coordinating everything for us and provided the excellent customer service we were looking for. We give them 5 stars and will definitely call them again for our next event!

I cannot praise Golden Glow and Jessica enough. The staff went above and beyond in every single way - the space was beyond gorgeous, it was the best wedding food we've ever had, and the CAKE was gorgeous and delicious. We even had a little floral issue and the staff went out of their way to assist and get flowers for our cake. Jessica was there for me every step of the way and was an amazing communicator for my thousands of questions. Golden glow was absolutely amazing and is a top tier wedding venue for you and your family.

Jess at Golden Glow is absolutely AMAZING and made the whole process so easy and smooth! From booking to the end of our wedding night Jess was so responsive and caring! As I didn't have a wedding planner and had never planned a wedding, I had a million questions for Jess. She always responded quickly, yet was never annoyed with my questions. In the weeks leading up to our wedding day and on our wedding, Jess was checking in on me, my husband, and the wedding party constantly, but not annoyingly, to make sure everything we needed was taken care of. Along with Jess, the staff at Golden Glow was very attentive to me and my husband but also to all our guests. On top of that, the food was AMAZING! After the wedding, we have so many compliments about how great the food was and how attentive and friendly the staff was! The entire experience with Golden Glow was amazing and helped to make our wedding absolutely picture-perfect for me and my husband! We could not have chosen a better venue!

We held my daughters bridal shower/brunch in the Pavilion on 9/17/22… it was a beautiful covered area with its own private bathrooms and indoor and outdoor bar areas. The wait staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and saw to our every request. Jessica was extremely helpful and walked me through the whole reservation process, from choosing the food, scheduling, and answering all my questions. The food was delicious and plentiful. I have no complaints and highly recommend the Pavilion as an outdoor/fresh air venue.

I can’t say enough good things about Golden Glow especially Jess and her crew. Everything was beautiful and made so easy by Jess. We had our ceremony there, reception with food and bar, had our cake made by them, plus they had a ton of options for centerpieces which were included as well and we also booked the DJ and photo booth through them making life so much easier. I also have a gluten allergy and everything was gluten free and was beyond delicious (I mean a girl got some rolls which was worth it) Everything was well organized and ran smooth. I would 10/10 book here again!

Jessica, the coordinator at the Golden Glow, and the rest of the GG staff made our wedding go super smoothly. Even little hiccups they handled quickly and gracefully so that I never stressed about anything and our guests never even noticed. The food was great, the venue was beautiful, and the day was absolutely perfect.

I 11/10 recommend Golden Glow Ballroom for your wedding, or event! Jessica was an angel through this entire process, talked to me through the whole thing, answered any questions I had and was overall super helpful. She was amazing. All of the staff on our wedding was absolutely amazing. They were all very kind, and helpful, and did a great job decorating and setting up exactly how I wanted. They made sure my wedding was amazing, and we highly recommend them! The venue is beautiful, food was awesome, and everything was perfect!

The Golden Glow made the entire process so easy! Jessica, leading up to the big day was a saint. She was quick to respond, very professional and friendly. The day of, the entire staff was friendly and on top of everything. I was asked multiple times if I was enjoying the night and if there was anything they could do to make it better. The Golden Glow has lots of options and are comparably very affordable. They did everything we asked and more. We highly recommend this venue!

Golden Glow was able to host my sorority for our spring formal and they were absolutely amazing! I worked specifically with Jess, who I could not recommend more! She was kind and patient with us and took all of my questions into consideration, she also went out of her way to help me find a DJ after mine bailed on us! During our actual dance, the staff was so kind and helpful and would find me for everything they had questions about, which was so helpful that I wasn't dreading the small details all night. The staff was very friendly and bubbly and even danced in the back of the room while waiting to clean up after us! The room was set up beautifully with everything that Jess and I had discussed having, everything was clean and classy. Overall I was so thrilled with this experience we received at Golden Glow and could not recommend it more!

The Golden Glow Ballroom was an amazing venue for our fall wedding. The cozy indoor vibes was exactly what we were looking for when searching for a venue. The additional benefits were showcased by Jessica and her staff that went above and beyond to see that we were accommodated throughout the entire planning process. Never once did I feel like my questions/requests were a nuisance (even though I know for a fact they were!). The food was absolutely delicious. All of our guests were incredibly satisfied and still talk about our reception. I would HIGHLY recommend Golden Glow for any event!

We hired Golden Glow to cater for our off site wedding. Jessica was BEYOND amazing. The food was incredible and my guests are still talking about it. We were looking for more of a bbq style buffet and Jessica and the chef were quick to put together a fantastic menu for us. They also made out deserts for us and just couldn’t get enough of them!

I had my wedding on May 16th. Weeks prior I spoke with Jessica and made her aware with proof in writing we were arriving day of at 10:30 AM to give my make up and hair artist enough time to work. 10:30 came around and there was still no one else at the venue. Having really only one or two people to call and having worked with Jessica the coordinator, I gave her several texts and calls, none of which she answered. My entire bridal party was trying to get in touch with her for an hour with no response. Finally I found the number for the owner at about 11:10 and he said he would have someone there within ten minutes. One of the chefs eventually showed up but they didn’t have the key. Golden Glow claimed their books said we weren’t scheduled until noon even though I had written proof we were to be let in at 10:30. Me, my make up artist, and my entire wedding party were all standing outside in the cold on the day of my wedding for over an hour and a half while I cried. We didn’t get let in until about 12:07 so even if we were scheduled to be let in at noon we were still let in late. The make up artist was not even able to do most of the hair and make up for my bridesmaids, they had to do it themselves due to time. The assistant manager Zack came to me before the ceremony and gave me his information, asked what they could do to resolve the situation. We wanted a partial refund since the make up artist couldn’t even do most of her work. An issue I had during the reception was that we gave a final count of 40 people but approximately ten didn’t show up, and we didn’t get to keep any of the food from the ceremony, so we paid extra money for nothing. When I finally got in touch with Zack after the wedding, I explained we wanted a $500 refund, and he said he’d gotten in touch with the owner and they’d be sending a check out. Three weeks after the wedding we still hadn’t received a check, so I called and spoke with a woman in accounting. She said she would have to get in touch with the owner because she hadn’t been told anything about a refund, even though we were told WEEKS prior that they were sending the check out the week of our wedding. About a week after speaking with the accounting, we received the check, but it was only for $150 and considering we spent over $3000 on this wedding and told we were getting a $500 refund, it felt insulting. I called and again spoke with accounting, who told me Jessica claimed to have gotten in touch with me and verified the amount, which was a blatant lie as I had not heard from Jessica since before the wedding, no explanation or apology from her either as to why she wasn’t answering the day of. I explained this to the accountant and she forwarded me to the owner. I left a very detailed voicemail where I specifically stated I only wanted to deal with the owner from here on out since I was getting the run around from the other employees and different information from everyone I spoke to. I also made sure to let them know I wanted to speak to them about the amount of the check since we were told we’d be receiving $500. I received a voicemail the next day from Zack NOT the owner and it essentially said they’d be sending a check. So the owner didn’t actually listen to the voicemail I left or if he did he didn’t pay attention to my actual concerns. Very unprofessional. No one seemed to care they made a HUGE mistake on the most important day of my life nor did they want to actually fix and take ownership of it.

She was on top of everything and all changes made at last min, she answered every question and found solutions if they needed to be. Our event turned out absolutely amazing. Jessica at Golden Glow blew us away. From the moment we first talked she was there very step of the way. No matter how ridiculous of a question I felt like I was asking she met me with solid information and made me feel like I was not losing my mind. Her knowledge, experience, and guidance had us feeling very comfortable in the months prior to our big day. During the day of, she made sure we had everything we needed and when I forgot to reprint out the readings, she immediately got on top of it. When I forgot to grab my bouquet (I was trying to get our almost three year old daughter to pay attention hah) she raced to the changing room to make sure it was in my hands. During the reception, she made sure to check on me and to make sure I was actually eating because I was busy making sure our daughter was okay. She will always be family to us.Now, aside from Jessica (love you girl!) the vendor was fantastic. The ceremony room was intimate and perfect and we loved that we could have our ceremony upstairs and our reception downstairs in a ballroom. Everything was set up beautifully and was ready for us to decorate the day before. Note, we got lucky because they didn’t have another event the Friday before or the day of. The food. Holy amaze balls. Chef Maria was wonderful to work with. She executed our menu choices and cake beyond our dreams. Our guests talked about three things; the food, the bar, and the fun. Right from the start we told Jessica those were the three things we were focused on.Long story, short...I highly recommend them. They have so many choices to allow you to create a perfect day. From ceremonies, to food, to alcohol, to music, to photo booth, if you need they can do it. Thank you so much Jessica and Golden Glow!!!

I have to give a few shout outs from our wedding 2-29-20 :What’s nice about the Golden Glow is it is one stop shopping if that is what you are looking for. We had our ceremony upstairs immediately followed by the reception downstairs. It is very difficult to find a venue that offers both spaces at the same time. We definitely did not want the 3 hour gap in between. The Glow also offers services for DJ and photographer as well!! My husband liked just writing one check for all services !!! Below is a breakdown of my personal reviews of our day.Venue : Ceremony & ReceptionGOLDEN GLOW BALLROOM in Saginaw. I cannot say enough about Jess and Ally ..... they were so accommodating and easy to work with. From the countless phone calls and emails with Jess to the day of planning with both Jess and Ally. I was grateful for their professionalism and calmness in ensuring everything was smooth and I was happy. The Foreman room and Ballroom A are both very nice rooms. Our guest raves at the venue and how classy it looked. The food was superb; from the appetizers to dinner to late night snacks. Our guests were thrilled with our choices and we were pleased with the variety offered by The Glow. And the bartenders did a great job with my Specialty Snickers Martini “yum”. And boy did we have a good time with the photo booth (confessional) at the reception!!!Makeup / Hair : Amanda at AMANDA J ARTISTRY from Bay City . What a sweet girl and doll she was. I have used her for hair and makeup twice now and have been very happy both times!!Flowers: AUSTINS FLOWERS in Freeland. Very reasonably priced and easy to work with. I showed her what I was looking for and her suggestions were perfect. My flowers still look beautiful on my dining room table today!!Photographer: Alicia at LOOKING GLASS PHOTOGRAPHY in Saginaw . Alicia has been a gem to work with. I’m very pleased with the sneak peeks she has shown me. She was very professional and listened to detail as I described what was most important in capturing our day !!!DJ Service: Jerod at NIGHTLIFE ENTERTAINMENT . You know it’s a good night when your guest beg the dj at the end to keep playing more songs. We were pleased with the music upstairs in the ceremony space as well as the reception downstairs !!!If you have any questions regarding any of the above please feel free to ask !!!

My wedding would not have been so perfect if it wasn’t for the excellent staff at golden glow. The place is beautiful and very accommodating. Jessica and Ally did a great job from the first time we met them to the day of. They made sure everything was taken care of leaving me with no stress the day of. The whole process of planning was so easy, they both have great personalities making it so easy to work with them. The food and service were awesome! I highly recommend having your reception here if you want a beautiful, stress free day!

We had our class reunion at Golden Glow. Jessica was very helpful and worked hard to accommodate all of our needs. The decor was beautiful and all of the amenities were great. We were even allowed to use their TVs to show all of our old photos from highschool. They even set up a photo booth as an early booking incentive.I was a little disappointed in the some of our dinner options. The kitchen staff also forgot about the vegetarian entrees we requested weeks before our event. Overall, this is a nice venue to host an event and it is very affordable.

Jessica was on top of everything and if I had a question she had an answer for me immediately! She kept me informed and was ALWAYS happy and professional! Amazing venue and customer service!!I had nothing but a positive experience with Golden Glow. First off, Jessica and Mia were the nicest and most helpful ladies I have ever met. Jessica is well organized and ALWAYS made time for questions no matter the time of day. You can tell she loves her job and connecting with each bride who comes in. The day of the wedding I was understandably nervous but she was with me all day and night and reassured me that everything would be great. My wedding was everything I wanted it to be and more. To say the venue and service was perfect would be an understatement. We had our ceremony out in the beautiful garden and reception in Ballroom A. The bridesmaids and myself were able to get ready the morning of in the foreman room, which made it easy for me to direct set up while I was getting hair and make up done. I could go on and on about my terrific experience but you just have to take my word that this is the place you need to have your wedding! You cannot beat the price for everything that is included with the venue. It really is a one stop shop. I plan on having my baby shower here as well and want Mia to make my cake. She is very talented and can do any dessert you want and any cake design as well. Just bring in a picture! Thank you Golden Glow for making our wedding one to remember! My guests raved about the food and said it was the best wedding they had been to in a long time. Could not have done it without Jessica. Please give her a raise.

I cannot give enough stars to Golden Glow, and especially their coordinator, Jessica!! She is amazing and this venue is gorgeous. Throughout the process, Jessica was amazing with communication and went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect with every step. We had our ceremony in the Glow Garden, and it turned out absolutely beautifully. Our reception was also set up exactly as we had wanted. The food was incredible and everyone absolutely raved about it, food being one of the most important parts of the night. We also went through their pastry chef for our cake/cupcakes, and WOW those are good. We still have both cake and cupcakes in our freezer and I wish we had a supply that lasts forever! I would recommend Golden Glow over and over again. The entire night ran so smoothly because of them.

We would recommend the Golden Glow hands down! From the first day we met with Jessica everything was handled in a professional organized matter. The entire staff is outstanding. The ballroom is gorgeous and the Golden Glow will work with you to make your special day as perfect as you want it. The food is very good and they have a wide variety to choose from. Our cake was made right in house, it was gorgeous and delicious. The Golden Glow is very flexible and is willing to work with you in anyway. They made our day go so smooth and didn’t miss a beat. If you don’t check into them you will regret it for sure!!

From my first meeting with Jessica I knew that this is where I wanted to have my wedding. She was so great, kind, patient and put our mind at ease every step of the way. She is truly a beautiful soul. Maria made the best tasting food, we had so many compliments. Our families REALLY love their food and everyone said it was amazing. Courtney was very patient with us at our rehearsal making sure we had things as close to perfect as possible. The bartenders were awesome too, so charismatic and friendly as were the rest of the staff of the Golden Glow. Everyone there is just a class act. I am so happy we had our wedding there. Best decision we could have made!

My wedding reception went perfectly at Golden Glow! Jessica and her staff decorated everything so beautifully as well as coordinating my 300+ guests through the night! Dinner was delicious, the cake was beautiful and tasty, late night pizza was a big hit, and the photo booth was well used! The planning process beforehand was incredible. Jessica would always reach out to me keeping me on track and prompting me when I needed to get something done! The payment plans are very reasonable and the pricing on everything was the most reasonable that I found in the Saginaw area!Although I hope I never have to get married again, I would do my day all over again at Golden Glow and not change anything!

The venue was truly amazing! Jessica and the Golden Glow staff truly went above and beyond for all of our wedding needs. I would recommend this revenue to those I know whether it be for a wedding or other important events. The Golden Glow gives beyond exceptional service.

Jessica was AMAZING! She was extremely helpful and always responded quickly. She answered all of my “stupid” questions without making me feel like they were stupid. LolThe staff was great as well! They made my husband a special plate because he doesn’t eat certain foods. They kept checking on us to make sure we were happy.I would recommend a blind or something for the window. Not that I’m complaining the sun was shining!I would highly recommend Jessica and Golden Glow to anyone and everyone!!

She is always there when you need a question answered and for any type of support. The food was amazing! Chef Maria can make anything from chicken to the wedding cake. What an amazing day! Jessica, Maria, Jeffery and Holly. You are all wonderful. You made our day so very special. Everything came together so nicely! Everyone loved the food and the cake was absolutely amazing! The best frosting I have ever tasted! Jeff you had the party bumping!!!! My family had such a great time. They said this was the best wedding they had been to in a long time. We loved how Jeff got the guest into a song off between the bride and grooms family. It was so much fun. Thank you all once again. And to Holly our officiant for the wedding, thank you for accommodate our request for the release of the homing pigeon. That was amazing. Had my wedding here on September 1, 2018. If I had to go back and replan my wedding, I would have booked it even sooner! Go tour the venue, talk with Jess and I’m sure you’ll fall in love with it too. The entire team was incredible and so thoughtful and accommodating. Everyone loved the food, the bar staff was great (and very busy!), the dessert was amazing! The Glow provided center pieces, put us in contact with our DJ and provided our desserts. Absolutely amazing, we loved it and will continue to recommend to everyone.

The Golden Glow is a great option for a reception and/or ceremony! It's a very nice facility with fantastic chefs. Go to one of the complimentary wedding showcases to taste the food, and you'll see how good their food is. The facility can host several weddings during the same time slot because of multiple ballrooms and entrances. The event coordinator, Jessica, is very helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly for set up and the reception. The outdoor Glow Garden was available during our reception, so we were able to use that space for taking family photos. Golden Glow's prices are definitely a great value, too! My only wish is that they offered rental of Chiavari chairs (or had a recommended company that did), or had banquet chairs in a more neutral color than maroon and gold. Chair covers and sashes are available for rental, but I did not want chair covers.

I would not recommend hosting your event here. I had an event for a 50th wedding anniversary August 20th. Let Alix know I would be there about 10 to start decorating for our 1:00 party. Showed up at 10:30 and there was not one thing ready for me. I was informed by a chef that they realized at 2 am that morning that they didn't have enough tables and chairs for my event and they had to rent them. That they would be there at 11:30. I told him I had to decorate and 90% of the decorations I had go on the tables. I was told I would be given staff to help me decorate. That did not happen. The room at 10:30 hadn't even been cleaned from the night before, bathroom dirty, bar dirty, had not been vacuumed absolutely zero preparation had been done. I had to stay on top of the 2 staff members I was given to get the room ready with the exception of Dan he tried his best to get everything needed to make sure the party was ready at 1:00 but he is only 1 person. I had to have my sister-in-law vacuum the room because the table and chairs finally showed up at 11:00 and the staff I was given had to help get them to the room. I had to help put on linens to make sure we would be ready on time. I was very disappointed that the manager of the Golden Glow was showing the room to potential clients and frankly where in our way while we where preparing for the party and once after our party started. Totally inappropriate. I was never contacted by management during set up or during our party or even after our party to apologize for this mishap or to even assist in getting the room ready or explain what had happen. I sent an email to Alix stating all this and how disappointed I was that the ball was dropped on our party and was never given a response. There was one employee Dan that helped tremendously to ensure my party would be ready by 1:00 if it wasn't for him I am not sure we would have been prepared for our guest. I had this at the Golden Glow to make it so it was stress free. This was so not the case they could have cared less about the mishap they had their money for the event and left me hanging. The only positive thing I can say is the food (soup and sandwiches) was good. Otherwise I would not recommend and I won't be having a party there again.

Our reception hall also catered it and cut our cake. The food was fantastic. My husband and I enjoyed the food very much. We heard nothing, but good thing from our guests about the food as well. They also cut our wedding cake. They did a great job on giving out good portions to our guests without destroying our cake. We were very pleased!

Wow. I cannot believe the superior service, beauty, helpfulness, and kindness that \"The Glow\" had to offer. Tabbatha and Jeremy were the best people to work with, even though my millions of questions and concerns. I had 250+ guests, and they were more than easily accommodated with a delicious buffet and two bar services. \r\rThey offer everything you can think of to help you on your big day as well. Showers, rehersal dinner, ceremony, photography, dj, limo...the list is endless. They even accommodated my family and friends with special needs and food allergies with their special services. \r\rI spent a good deal of time looking for a venue, and this one tops them all-even if you have a smaller reception, it would still be perfect with the use of their room divider and amazingly high and beautiful ceilings. \r\rMany of my friends and family knew very little or anything about this place before we had our reception there, but they will never be able to forget it now. \r\rYou really cannot beat the best price, service, and quality of the Glow, even if you try to to everything by yourself. Trust me. I already did the research for you. \r\rAND, the Ramada Inn will shuttle guests that stay at their hotel if you book more than twenty rooms/nights.

The Golden Glow was an absolutely awesome place to hold a wedding. Not only was it a great price for the area, it had above and beyond what anyone else in the area has to offer. We never had worry that things were not going to go off as planned. Tabatha was great to deal with, always answering my millions of emails that I had sent, especially the week of when there were lots of last minute questions! They were great to work with, and we are still hearing about how great of a venue it really was. So beautiful, spacious, great food! and a good layout :) I definitely recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a wedding in the Midland-Saginaw area!!

I originally booked my reception with the Golden Glow when they were finishing up the rebuild. The outside structure was totally completed and the inside was studs. We were promised a great deal, exceptional food, were told that a professional decorator would be planning all the colors, carpet, chairs etc. The ugly houses next door would be redone and could be rented out to my out of town family. To say that I was upset when I saw the finished product would be an understatement. My dog could have stained the wood better, a color blind person must have chosen the colors, the owners, mainly the son, are likely the rudest people I have ever dealt with. They were very nice until they had cashed my deposit promising me the world and back. Needless to say I cancelled the Golden as my reception site. I gave them over a years notice and they refused to give me back any of the deposit. To date the houses still aren't finished, the parking lot is still gravel and mud and the upstairs room that they wanted me to do my ceremony in overloooks a dumpster.
