I got married here over the summer and it was absolutely perfect. My face hurt from smiling so much! The staff was attentive and so kind to my guests. The food was amazing. Even after the wedding I have had family members mention how great the chicken and potatoes were. I also loved that the buffet room was separate from the ballroom. Everything went above my expectations! I could not have asked for more gorgeous venue. We went out on the golf course to take private photos and I felt so taken care of. The staff made sure we were on schedule, while ensuring we had a fun time. I also want to mention how Golden Hawk has their own day of coordinator. They set up all of your decorations before you arrive for your wedding day. This took away so much stress from my bridesmaids and mom. It also saved me money from having to hire a coordinator for the ceremony! Overall 10/10. Reviewed on 18-12-2023

This venue was everything my husband and I wanted. Absolutely beautiful. However, the wedding coordinator, Monique was hard to get ahold of and was very short with her responses. The main thing that upset my husband and I was the ceremony area outside. When we originally booked this venue, the outdoor ceremony space had flower boxes and a built in gazebo/arch. So I figured we’d save some money and just use what they already had at the venue. On our rehearsal date, we were made aware that the entire outdoor ceremony space was redone, taking out the flower boxes/arch/gazebo. This left our ceremony extremely plain and bare and with proper notice, I would have loved to have some type of floral arrangement. The entire outdoor ceremony space is wood and it was re painted the day before our ceremony which left the floor disgustingly sticky. My guests feet were sticking to the wood floor and peeling up paint as they moved around. To end on a positive note, the staff was extremely kind, bathrooms were clean and food was decent. My fiance and I absolutely loved this venue, not only for the beautiful setting but for the convenience of providing multiple services through them (outdoor ceremony, reception, open bar, and catering). It just took our breath away how lovely the reception space was without being overwhelming, with its simple but elegant decor and high ceiling and chandelier. It was perfect for our wedding size, since total capacity of the hall was ~ 230-250 people and we had ~ 120 guests, so it was roomy and pleasant for everyone who attended. And the outdoor ceremony area was also perfect, and the trees helped shade the guests for the day and overall kept the temperature cool (weather was supposed to be over 80 degrees that day but it actually felt very comfortable!). The golf course was beautiful to take pictures at, and my photographer and the venue manager Monique collaborated to have us take photos in several scenic areas.Monique directly took care of us during the reception, and I wanted to mention a small detail I noticed. I had originally asked for a certain beer at the reception but it was not possible, since the beer did not come in a keg. So we chose a different beer and were understanding, but I noticed that during the wedding, Monique was making sure we had drinks and was constantly supplying my husband with cans of the beer we had originally requested :) He even told me that when he approached the bar for drinks during reception, the bartenders also offered him that original brand of beer as well. I appreciated this gesture from the staff, trying to accommodate us as best as they could. It made me smile to see how caring and attentive they were. The food was also delicious, and served in courses. I like having the variety (duet-plated) meals, and the appetizers were a huge hit (they ran out by the time we came back from our Romantics session, but of course found some for us as the bride and groom when we asked). I loved the overall design of the reception space too, perfect for DJ, our sweetheart table, and the guests framing the large dance floor. The temperature was perfectly controlled in the reception hall too, kept cool to keep all the guests comfortable even while we danced and made merry! Reviewed on 10-07-2023
Selena Pacic(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-09-2020 Fantastic evening! Given the covid restrictions we ended up doing our wedding outside on the patio. It ended up being better than up stairs. The lights outside really brought everything together! Ryan and the team were fantastic to work with. We communicated daily the last week and he never made us feel like we were a bother. I would recommend golden hawk to anyone who is looking for a venue Reviewed on 19-01-2021
Russ Murer(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-08-2020 Where do I begin with a 2020 COVID wedding? To not drag anyone's name through the mud, Ryan was our 3rd general manager/venue manager and he really did his best and went out of his way to make sure we had the best wedding possible given the situations. The outdoor area/patio work out great for having an outdoor wedding, as much as we would have loved to have it indoor in their ballroom area, it just wasn't possible with the restrictions in place at the time (late august). Ryan answered all our questions quickly and promptly even though he was brought on only weeks before the wedding. The night of went off without a hitch, food was great, guests raved about it, late night snack was great (we had sliders) The only complaint which I am sure is already on Ryan's radar was the cushions on the seats were dirty, which for outside, white cushions, I get it but for a wedding they should have been spotless. The ceremony site was great which for us was broken down during cocktail hour and turned into our dance floor. The lighting Ryan has been putting in made it into a fantastic area. Overall great experience with Golden Hawk and Ryan. Reviewed on 04-09-2020
Emily Donohoe(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-08-2019 I'm almost a year late to the reviewing game but I really enjoyed having my wedding at Golden Hawk. It was absolutely beautiful and Michelle did a great job. The staff were really helpful and did a great job helping set up. When the wedding was still a while away sometimes Michelle was a little slow to respond to emails but that wasn't a big deal. She answered every question I had. The food was good, though I wasn't a fan of the tasting process (you can't try all the dishes in order to make a decision, you have to visit when another wedding is happening and try what they ordered). Overall, a great wedding, everyone said they had a wonderful time.To see photos from my event (summer woodland fairy aesthetic) please see my review on wedding wire Reviewed on 26-07-2020
Lindsey Bruno(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-10-2019 Loved this place so much! Monique always responded with a sense of urgency which made me feel at ease. I loved the wrap around covered porch off of the venue, it was nice to be able to step out and cool down, in fact I think half of our guests hung out there throughout the night! We received so many compliments on this place regarding the food, atmosphere, etc.! Reviewed on 17-11-2019
Christine Lozen(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-08-2019 Our wedding day was perfect! Our food was great, and I was the happiest I have ever been. The manager and coordinator Monique was there for us 100% on our wedding day, however planning did get a bit difficult at times. Monique is not always patient, but I promise you she will keep you on a perfect schedule the day of the wedding. When I asked questions throughout the wedding process I was referred to us discussing this at the 2 week meeting more than once. My only advice is to please be more patient with your brides. Overall, we were very pleased with everything, and we thank you! Reviewed on 13-10-2019
Felicia Maitland(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-10-2017 The venue is beautiful. They have beautiful picture windows facing the golf course, a beautiful stair case going up to the banquet room and also one going from the outside balcony to a ceremony site. When we did a walk through, we knew we wanted the venue. Monique worked with us coming to a price we could afford and even through in a few extras for us. Once the contract was signed and deposit was paid, she became a little sassy. She gave attitude to my mom and dad and was pretty closed minded about doing things outside of what she normally would do. And when I say normally would do, I mean things like locations of tables and placement of guest book and such. The food was ok. Nothing great. The pasta was over cooked, veggies didn't really have much flavor but the meat was delicious. The reason I give it 4 stars instead of lower is because of the wait staff. They were phenomenal! The bartender was extremely friendly with very generous pours to our guests, waitresses we're friendly and fast. Everything was discreetly cleaned or replenished. While I was waiting to walk down the isle, I got married on site, the staff was helping to calm my nerves, joking around with me, and helping fluff my dress, fix any stray hairs and stuff like that. Monique kept everything running smoothly and flawlessly throughout the night. The venue was stunning. The chandeliers gave a romantic feel that just made it perfect. Overall, I would recommend this venue to a bride or groom who is laid back and doesn't mind someone taking a little control. If was able to post photos I would. Anyone is able to reach out to me and I would gladly send photos of what the venue looked like. Reviewed on 30-12-2017

Erin R.(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-04-2017 The venue was beautiful, and very cost effective (we had our wedding in off-season as well, so even moreso). However, the wedding coordinator is often times rude and incredibly hard to reach. Anytime you do not agree with her it was very frustrating. Not only did we notice, but we had family point it out to us as well. I will say the day of our wedding she was absolutely wonderful, but leading up to, i had my doubts. Reviewed on 24-05-2017
