We had our reception at the Golden Valley Country club and was very happy with the outcome. Kimberly was great to work with - she was very detailed and would even bring up questions I missed, to ensure our day would be perfect. The food was absolutely amazing and we received so many compliments from our guests. Thank you for providing a great venue for our reception.

We had our reception at the Golden Valley Country club and was very happy with the outcome. Kimberly was great to work with - she was very detailed and would even bring up questions I missed, to ensure our day would be perfect. The food was absolutely amazing and we received so many compliments from our guests. Thank you for providing a great venue for our reception.

We had a great experience with Golden Valley Country Club! Liza, our contact at GVCB, did a great job communicating with us from the time we booked until the wedding date. She always made herself available when we had questions and was extremely personable to work with! The staff was fabulous day of, and the food was delicious. The reception venue was everything we could ask for!

My husband and I had a great experience when working with GVCC to plan our wedding. Liza and Joe are incredible and made the day go by very smoothly. I worked with Liza before the wedding to plan out all the details. She was very fast to respond to all my questions and emails. Joe and golden valley staff helped mostly on the day of and I can't thank them enough. We had our wedding in a giant snow storm in February and they did an amazing job helping - giving us towels, umbrellas, and opening side doors for us. Joe made sure the days events kept on schedule and that everyone was happy and having fun. I highly recommend GVCC for your wedding ceremony/reception.

Gorgeous venue! I still get compliments on how beautiful everything was. I gave it 4 stars because of a hiccup we had day of. Our ceremony was supposed to be outside, but it began to rain. The decision to move everything inside was decided early that morning. I had some friends assisting in the setup, and they received a large amount of push back from the staff regarding the setup. Which to me was unfortunate. What they were asking was not a lot and I would think was something the staff could have easily accommodated. This was not something I was aware of till after the wedding. It all worked out in the end, and I was very happy everyone came together and made the venue even more beautiful then I could imagine. The staff prior to the event was so helpful. Kimberly was our main contact, and you can definitely tell she has tons of experience. They have a timeline and make sure to politely keep you on track. I would recommend GVCC to anyone I knew, and don't know. Just make sure to be clear on plan B if you are having an outside ceremony and photos.

I loved having my reception at GVCC. The venue is classy and beautiful. The food was amazing and my husband and I got many compliments on how wonderful their reception experience was. My personal favorite part about the reception was when we took a golf cart to the first green for sunset photos! The staff at GVCC is helpful and accommodating. Kimberly and the entire staff at Golden Valley played an integral role in making our wedding reception the perfect night that I've always pictured. Kimberly has such a high attention to detail and knew all the questions to ask us so that we had a reception that felt very much our own and didn't have to worry about any details on our big day. All the staff at Golden Valley took exceptional care of ourselves and our guests during the reception - they were so attentive to all needs, and did everything they could so that we could enjoy the moment & our special day. We also received multiple compliments on the food served during cocktail hour and dinner - there's so many amazing options to choose from, everything was presented elegantly, and tasted amazing! The venue itself is absolutely ideal for a wedding - it has a very classic and elegant feel and offers some breathtaking options for wedding photos. Golden Valley Country Club was the perfect venue for our wedding and I would (and have!) absolutely recommend it to any couple looking for a venue in the Twin Cities.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at GVGCC - they were amazing to work with, not just for my husband and me, but all of my vendors commented on how lovely they were to work with day of for set up and throughout the night. I'm always a little nervous about wedding food because it's never as good as a private tasting, but the food was fantastic, we had guests compliment us on the appetizers, entrees and desserts all night long. They even made our wedding cake for us, which was beautifully done, at less than 1/2 of what a bakery quoted me for the same thing. The event coordinator, Kimberly, was very detail oriented and helped us feel calm and prepared for the wedding day. The bartenders and staff the day of were a dream to work with. If we had to do it all over again, we would choose GVGCC 100%. I highly recommend them!

We had our daughter's wedding at Golden Valley Golf and Country Club on March 22, 2014. We did both the ceremony and reception here. It was simply exquisite!! I was initially very skeptical in having the ceremony in the ballroom and having the \"turn\" into the reception. Golden Valley did an amazing job and there was nothing that wasn't short of perfect! GVCC was awesome! Kim was our event coordinator and was very accomodating to our needs. She remembered and executed all of our requests and details of the day. The service was great, the food was amazing, and the venue itself was just beautiful. I loved the foyer area for the cocktail hour and the double-sided bar. The bathrooms were easily accessible and the locked 'gift room' was a bonus. Highly reccomend!!

We worked with Elly and she made the planning process easy and comfortable, allowing us to bounce ideas off her and ask all the questions we wanted. The room is gorgeous and looked even more amazing with the draping and lighting we added. We took many pictures outside the club as the grounds are gorgeous and perfect for wedding photos. It’s hard to decide what we would recommend more, the food or the service- both were superb! We loved the food and after the tasting knew without a doubt we had chosen the right place for our reception. Our guests raved about both the food and the service. Vicki and her staff handled the reception service and were outstanding. The entire experience exceeded expectations and was even better than we had imagined. It was every bride’s dream!

The day of the wedding was absolutely amazing. GVGCC was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I had a great day. Our banquet captain Vicky made sure that everything was kept on track as far as timing and making sure everything was setup and where it was supposed to be. The staff did a great job at getting out dinner. We received nothing but compliments on our food. It was also nice being able to offer our guests four different choices for dinner. They sold us on the uplighting for the room, which I feel made the room warm and feel more like an event. We did not do any draping or chair covers, the room does not need it in our opinion. My only negative was that they changed even coordinators during our planning stage and we weren't informed, I sent numerous e-mails that were never returned. I had to call the previous persons number to find out that she was gone. But once we got connected with the new coordinator things ran smoothly. I would highly recommend having a wedding at GVGCC.

They plan everything to a T and take care of all your small details the day of the wedding so you attendants barely have to do a thing! The planning process is so simple and they work with any budget! We had a very large reception - 200+ guests and the food was great! I received so many compliments from our family and friends. They are hassle free and so great to work with! I am a believer in letting the people who do these jobs on a daily basis get the business because you will have NO PROBLEMS!!! It was a wonderful day and the country club made it so worth while!!!! Book in advance....and have fun with the planning!

Golden Valley Country Club has a great layout for a cocktail hour that then leads you into the ballroom. If its a nice day/night there is a great patio at the end of the cocktail room. The food is great. The building is up to date. And best of all they have great pricing for their food and drinks.

I was a little frustrated with the wedding coordinators at Golden Valley because I never met with the same one twice. The banquet captain was amazing and so was the food and service the day of the wedding! I have had so many compliments from guests about how beautiful the country club was and such great service! I would highly recommend them!

To all that may have the pleasure of choosing Golden Valley Golf & Country Club (GVGCC) read on. As parents of the bride, alot of thought & venue viewing before making a decision were done by us. We had the fortune of landing at the GVGCC for a tour with Kristin Olson (EVENTS SALES & CATERING DIRECTOR). From the first viewing we were sure that this venue would suit our celebraton nicely. The reception area is large & very inviting, The ballroom is the epitome of elegant. The grounds & surrounding areas are inviting & picture-worthy!! Kristin was wonderful to work with through the whole process & we booked this venue. Through several other meetings & meeting their service staff we felt very comfortable with the overall ambience of GVGCC. \r We also worked with Vicki Jurek , the event staff manager that evening, she was \"The Best\". Always kept everything on target for us. Vicki went above & beyond for us when she was able to add a small visual addition to the head table. (which was'nt in original plan). \r The evening of our reception went wonderfully!! , the ballroom & table(s) were absolutely stunning. The service staff seemed to be \"Right There\" all the time & had it together. The service staff & mixologists were worthy of compliments all night!! The food came out on time for each course, and the entr'ees were served \"hot\" and were incredibily delicious. These \"vital parts\" are not always the case at other such events elsewhere!! A big comendation for all the staff that worked our event that evening!!!. We had more than many of our guests comment on how well orchestrated the whole production was!!! \r\r ***We will be rcommending the Golden Valley Golf & Country Club to anyone that asks.\r Thank you you all !!! When we first went and toured GVCC it was setup for a wedding and we were instantly sold. From that day forward Christine has been a big help with sorting details out, adapting things to our needs and just being there for questions. On the big day the room and everything was setup just as we had discussed. Vicki was our main contact that night and she was amazing! She continuously checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed but not hounding at all. All in all I don't have any negative things to say about the venue. I would redo my wedding there in a heartbeat!!

I was recently a the maid of honor in the most beautiful wedding at Golden Valley Golf and Country Club. The food was some of the best I've ever had at a wedding and the service was great. Plus, it was great to have the outdoor space to use and the views of the golf course are so pretty.

Beautiful venue, but the customer service was absolutely horrible. As the bride, I spent about an hour of my night dealing with the bartenders, managers, etc. My father spent about 1.5 hours doing the same - that is time we will never get back. They tried to charge us for more drink tickets than what we even handed out. We had an open bar with free beer and wine and several of our guests were told that they needed to pay for their beer or wine when they went to order. They bartenders and manager were extremely disrespectful to me. One whole table of my friends did not get served their dinner until everyone else had dessert. The service people were not friendly at all. I could go on, but in the end, I just hope no other bride ever has to go through what I did. And just as a note - no I am not a bridezilla, I did not expect much - really all I expected was friendly service and my guests treated with respect. I was unbelievably disappointed. I would never recommend this venue to anyone.

We had a wonderful ceremony and reception at Golden Valley Country Club. Everything about the day was perfect. The food, service, environment was fantastic! They were so helpful planning the event and gave great ideas/recommendations. I didn't have to worry about a thing! I have had a number of guests tell me it was the best wedding they have ever been too!!

I have nothing but great things to say about our wedding reception at Golden Valley Golf and Country Club. Everything, from our first visit touring the venue was impressive, professional and fun. Christine worked with us and helped us create the wedding of our dreams. She made sure that all the details were taken care of and was a pleasure to work with. There is not one thing that I would have changed about our reception. We had many compliments on the venue and the delicious food. There was plenty of room for our cocktail hour in the foyer. The ballroom has great windows towards the golf course that add such a beautiful and unique backdrop. Our guests kept saying how beautiful it was there. As a bride, I had questions leading up to the wedding day regarding the time line for the evening, how things would be set up, etc. Their wonderful Wedding Coordinator, Christine, promptly responded to any inquiry I had and always put my mind at ease. Our wedding was an absolute dream come true. I was able to enjoy the evening, without worrying about a single thing. Christine kept everyone on a schedule so that the evening flowed according to plan. The amazing staff there deserves kudos as well. Everyone was friendly, helpful and professional. The food captains always made sure that my husband and I had everything we needed. They brought us our own tray of appetizers, so we could try them all, saved us our favorite pizza at the end of the night, etc. I cannot say enough good things about Golden Valley Golf and Country Club and their staff. I am confident that if you decide to use them, you will have a fabulous experience planning, a wedding that will exceed your every expectation.

My wedding reception was on 7.7.2012 at GVCC and IT WAS REMARKABLE!! The staff worked with me for almost a year to make my day perfect. The venue is gorgeous and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place, I wish I could do it again! I added a lot of my own touches and got a lot of complements about how beautiful everything was. We served the Mediterranean salad and chicken marsala dinner for our salad and entrée. Multiple people came up to me to tell me how good the food was! We had a band for our entertainment and they sounded amazing. The event staff even let us have sparklers outside the country club at the end of the night. It was a perfect way to end such a wonderful celebration. I would recommend GVCC to anyone! We had a medium sized budget and we were able to make it work for 175 guests.

We had our reception at the GVCC in September 2011. Everyone was very accommodating and great to work with there! I would definitely recommend the GVCC for your wedding! Our guests still tell us how pretty our wedding venue was!

I recently hosted an event at Golden Valley Golf and Country Club, and not only was the staff extremely helpful and prompt but my guests RAVED about the food. The food was incredible! The ballroom is also very gorgeous and surrounded by windows. \r\rI fell in love with this venue and would HIGHLY recommend it to all brides!

Beautiful venue (little decorating needed) and terrific food. We received so many compliments about the food (we served a chicken and steak duet). Things I didn't like: had to go through Buttercream cakes or pay a steep cake cutting fee (we had a large guest count and Buttercream's prices are sky high, so we served assorted desserts instead of cake). With our large guest count we tried to order adequate amounts of beer and wine; they gave us a hard time about the quantities we wanted - in the end it worked out but it was a difficult topic to work out with them along the way.

We had our wedding at Golden Valley Country Club on New Years Eve 2010. They went above and beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend them for weddings or any other special occasion. I even received compliments on their staff from my guests. It's a beautiful venue with a large ballroom.

They place is lovely and there is plenty of room for a big wedding. The banquet manager was unable to handle unexpected situations well. If I had it to do over again I wouldn't pick this venue. The cost of the drinks for the guests was higher than originally priced on Club Banquet information.

Golden Valley Country Club worked with our family to help make the reception reflect our taste, our intention to keep it fun and casual and provided everyone with a gorgeous room for dinner and dancing, an incredible cocktail space and a gorgeous view of the 18th hole. We loved being able to walk through the room before the guests entered, with a beverage in hand and enjoying being married and walking through our reception room just the two of us!

Golden Valley Country Club worked with our family to help make the reception reflect our taste, our intention to keep it fun and casual and provided everyone with a gorgeous room for dinner and dancing, an incredible cocktail space and a gorgeous view of the 18th hole. We loved being able to walk through the room before the guests entered, with a beverage in hand and enjoying being married and walking through our reception room just the two of us!

It was a country club on a golf course, so we were able to do outside pictures on the golf course. Also the venue was large enough for us to do our ceremony and reception there, and there was a nice space for our cocktail hour inbetween the ceremony and reception.;We had a few issues with the wait staff on the day of the wedding. They served the wrong meal to several guests. But I'd never heard this feedback from anyone else, so I think it was just a fluck, and I'd still highly recommend Golden Valley Country Club.
