We had our wedding here on Sept 2 and had the most amazing/magical/perfect day we could have ever asked for. Jennifer and the staff at Granby Ranch went above and beyond to ensure we as well as our families did not have to lift a finger and could fully enjoy the day. The planning process from the very start was so well done by Jennifer and her team. She was so responsive to all our MANY questions throughout the process and was available for what ever we needed. The tasting was so much fun to get to know her and sit down and chat through the entire wedding day with her. She was so helpful with things far outside venue planning such as helping us choose food in the area for our welcome party, accommodations for our out of town guests and giving us fun ideas of activities around the town of Granby. Our family and friends absolutely raved about the views, chairlift experience, food, and how friendly all the staff was. Bartenders remembered our guests orders and had drinks ready for them when they walked up, the chef accommodated all the very specific dietary restrictions for each guest, and Jennifer made sure everything logistics wise for the day was perfect. Our wedding day was a dream come true and we can’t say enough good things about this venue and the staff!! Reviewed on 19-10-2023

I'm a Wedding Photographer in Colorado and I've shot several weddings that have been held at Granby Ranch and they have always been fantastic! The ceremonies are held at the top of the mountain Ski lift that has some amazing views! One of my favorite moments of working here is seeing the guests faces when they arrive up the mountain and see the view from the ceremony location for the first time. It is Epic! The overall experience of the rest of the venue is great as well. I've had weddings where the reception is held under a tent out on the lawn or one's where they were held in the dining hall inside the resort and they have both been seamless and everyone leaves happy. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable about the schedule and getting people to the places they need to be. I hope I get to come back and shoot some more weddings here in the future! We got married 9/17/2023 and had the most amazing wedding weekend at Granby Ranch! We had a jam packed weekend using several of the Granby Ranch facilities- a bride vs. groom golf tournament at Granby Ranch Golf Course, our rehearsal dinner at the 8350 Bistro top floor of Granby Ranch, welcome drinks in the Blue Bird Bistro downstairs at Granby Ranch, our wedding at Vista Ridge at the top of Granby Ranch Mountain, and our reception inside the Slopeside Great Room with 150 people, and the after party back at Blue Bird Bistro! We could not recommend Granby Ranch enough!! It had everything we wanted and more. We were lucky because, other than a little rain at the golf tournament, we had the most beautiful weather. The leaves turned a little more every day, we had mostly green with a little yellow. if you want bright yellow, go for around 9/25.All Granby staff- they are so kind and wonderful. Every person was cool and gracious during the whole weekend.Jennifer was a pleasure to work with! We loved her energy and excitement and really felt supported through the full process. We had a great food tasting with her as we had so much fun and got to try the delicious food. Since we planned over the course of a year plus, I would say it is important to make sure you have everything documented with her. They had changed a few things with the menu and pricing and table cloth colors but she was able to honor all of what they said they would give us because we had it in writing. We worked with TeNeil Hartley, for her full wedding planning services, and she is the perfect addition to execute the wedding because she knows Granby Ranch so well and worked great with Jennifer. To the food, it was INCREDIBLE. We did the buffet style and our guests raved about it. The chef was great to work with as we had some dietary restrictions of our guests and wanted to make it as accessible to all as possible. The apps were great and they made a plate of them for my husband and I since we missed happy hour due to photos. It is interesting how they do the tasting, you sit at the restaurant and try things on the menu. You might not try exactly all of the full menu that your guests will have but you have the trust and confidence in trying multiple items that they will do a good job with the food and they really did! I'm a huge foodie and this was important to me!They re-did the great hall and wow are the renovations stunning! The carpet looks so much better than the previous retro 70s carpet, and they made the columns stone like to match the fireplace. It makes the place look so elegant! These changes were a great update to make the room even more magical. We had 150 people in the space and it worked great. They moved out 2 tables during the dancing and it was perfect. It didn't feel too tight or cramped. The outdoor patio and the downstairs firepit were huge hits as well! Our golf tournament was a blast! We did a scramble and did bride vs. groom. We had 48 people play and 20 wedding marshalls that had games and trivia and pictures around the golf course. The golf pro, David Crosby, was great! We did our own pairings but he made the tournament happy. We did it on a Friday and it was such a blast! We had all levels of golfers. We were told by multiple people after our wedding that it couldn't have been more perfect. They loved the sweeping views of the Vista Ridge, they loved the food, and they really loved the location and how easy everything was in one spot. Reviewed on 07-11-2023

We had our wedding at Granby Ranch on July 22, 2023 with the ceremony on Vista Ridge at 3 pm and the reception in the Great Room. We had ~135 guests. Overall we had a fantastic experience and would recommend GR as venue to others looking to get married in Granby/Grand county area. What we loved about Granby Ranch:- The views at the ceremony site are amazing. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the location is- Working with Jennifer. She was very responsive and has such an upbeat personality about everything-The food. Our guests raved about how good all the food was-The service. Dinner was fully staffed and I did not hear about any complaints on having to wait too long for anything. Everything was well organized and orchestrated. Our only complaints (There were just a couple of things that kept us from giving a 5 star rating):- The Great Room was Hot. I think the AC had gone out for a bit. They said that they had eventually gotten it working but by that point it must be difficult to cool down a room of that size with that many people. Opening windows and doors once the sun started setting helped some and it did not seem to impact our guests' experience too much - Communication about the construction. We had a construction disclaimer in our contract. Before signing I had asked if it would be in a location that would \"impact the aesthetic of the ceremony site\" They said No, absolutely not. On the day of our wedding there was construction (albeit not active) at the top of the lift the guests take up. While not technically the ceremony site, I felt like they could have been a little more forthcoming when I asked the question. I would have still considered this part of the aesthetic of the site, but I understand the nuance.- Lightning delay duration. Immediately after our ceremony, there was a lightning alert. It rained for about 5 min and there were probably a couple of audible rumbles within that time. However, we had to stay in the yurts up until 30 min after the last visible lightning strike (and you can see quite a ways from the ridge) so ended up being close to 45 min - 1 hr. Now, I understand not running the lifts until its absolutely clear, but my guests were a bit frustrated that they had to remain confined to crowded, hot yurts when it was clear, blue sky outside. I think letting us out of the yurts with words of caution could have been acceptable. Our guests had all signed waivers..- We wish that there were more beer options to have selected from and another seltzer option besides white clawFinally, we really enjoyed our tasting as it was a fun dinner and allowed us to get to know Jennifer better; however, we wish we could have tasted some of the actual options for the reception food. Claire Odorico(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-06-2022 Granby ranch is an incredibly beautiful and memorable venue for a wedding. Our guests were blown away by the view at the top, the experience on the chairlift , and the food. However , as the bride and for my family, the process of planning with GR was very challenging. There seemed to be a lack of communication on the part of the GR staff-when we communicated something with one staff member it was not shared with others. When we went for our food tasting several months after scheduling it and asking for a vegetarian option, we were told we would the tasting meat dishes. When we asked to taste the dish that would be served to our guests we were originally told that it would cost us an extra $25 to taste it, and then there weren’t any times we were able to try it. Then, for the two months prior to our wedding, the staff was out of office and did not respond to emails in a timely manner. The software the GR staff uses for emails is outdated and not pleasant for the customer. We probably received 100+ emails simply saying someone was out of office. While the staff was trying their best and working very hard, there were some aspects of unprofessionalism that put some extra difficulty on us during wedding planning. The food luckily ended up being incredible- chef Liana is amazing and her food is delicious. Overall, we had a fabulous wedding. My advice to anyone venue shopping would be to pick GR if you want an incredible view, have patience, and have a good wedding planner. Reviewed on 26-06-2022

Preceded by a bountiful aspen grove, the views from Vista Ridge are truly breathtaking. Exchanging our vows in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, overlooking the continental divide, was more than I could have ever wished for on our wedding day. In addition to the captivating beauty of the site, the experience of taking the chairlift up to the site was like no other. As avid skiiers, it was without a doubt one of the highlights of our wedding day and something that had our guest still talking about weeks later! Additionally, it was something that helped to make our special day truly unique. Our guests had no issues retrieving lift tickets and navigating their way to the top of the mountain thanks to Granby Ranch staff. Also - a special shout out to lift attendant, Andy. He encouraged us to wait for a chair that would allow our photographers to be directly behind us. He also found us a left-over \"Just Married\" sign that he personally tied to the back of our chair. Because of these simple actions, our photographer was able to capture one of our favorite photos from the entire day. Thank you, Andy!FOOD: The food. Was. AMAZING! We chose one of their buffet options and could not have been happier with our decision. Their incredible and award-winning chef, Lianna, was present during our reception and personally walked my husband and I through each item in the buffet line. There was a perfect amount of food items to choose from, including vegetarian options. This is no exaggeration - every single one of our guests complimented us on how incredible the food was. Most of them specified how shocked they were that a buffet could be so delicious and flavorsome. Hats off to Chef Lianna!STAFF: We had positive interactions with every single staff member at Granby Ranch - to note, this includes the days that we've spent at Granby Ranch for our initial visit, tastings, and even on a totally separate ski trip we took the year prior. The staff truly seems to be happy to be there and that feeling extends onto their guests. On our wedding day and at our rehearsal dinner, every staff member seemed elated to be celebrating us and were willing to help us in any way that they could. Most of our time was spent coordinating with Jennifer, a true gem of a human and somebody that we now consider a friend. Jennifer went above and beyond to make sure that our day was special and we hold an immeasurable amount of gratitude for her and all that she did for us during our planning process. We also had incredibly positive interactions with the Wedding Services Manager, Liz, and the F&B Director, Ian. Our banquet captain, Zina, and staff member, Jordan, also helped to make our rehearsal dinner and reception one for the books. They were our right hand women during these events and always had a smile on their face. It was so comforting to be around people who truly wanted this day to be special for us.In conclusion, our wedding at Granby Ranch was more than we could have ever hoped for it to be. Ann Hoang(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-07-2021 We got married July 2021 and Granby Ranch was the wedding venue of our dreams! We wanted the ultimate mountain wedding and Granby Ranch delivered. We wanted the chairlift experience for our guests and our guests loved it! (There's also a shuttle available for those who need it). We toured other ski resorts - Keystone, Vail - and ultimately decided on Granby because we loved the small-town feel. We did not want to be one of many weddings that day. Jennifer led us on our tour, took us up to the ceremony site and we instantly fell in love with the view from the wedding deck. We also loved the bridal yurt to get dressed and spend time with the wedding party before the wedding. I could even peak at the guests getting off the chairlift and head the ceremony from the privacy of the bridal yurt which was fun! Guests can get a drink at the bar while waiting at the base before lift tickets were given out for the ceremony. FYI only a port-a-potty is available once up the chairlift. The provided PA and microphone offered by Granby (we used in an emergency since our DJ could not make it) was a corded microphone and a single speaker. I recommend getting your DJ to offer a lapel microphone and more speakers so the officiant can be hands free while reading the ceremony and heard well. This may have been more of an issue because we had a windstorm throughout the majority of our ceremony. Be prepared for true mountain weather changes! Cocktail hour on the deck and reception was indoors. The outside deck and indoor reception hall flowed nicely together and the guests enjoyed going back and forth for a change of scenery. We got so many compliments on our food, it was truly delicious I never expect wedding food to be tasty but this was, especially the steak. We also loved having the option of renting out the downstairs bar for an intimate after-party with some late night snacks following the reception. Lots of housing options were available in Granby Ranch itself for guests - from 1 bedroom options to large 5 bedroom homes, all within 7 minutes from the venue! We had 125 guests and did not hear of anyone having issues finding accommodations. Thank you again for an amazing wedding and helping to create the best memories! Reviewed on 31-08-2021
Cynthia Cross(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-07-2021 You cannot beat the view at Vista Ridge. The food is incredible! I wish food and views could make the perfect wedding day. However, there is so much more that goes into a wedding. We booked a tasting with Jennifer and Liz to then be told a month before that the Bistro was closed during that time. We went to the meeting to finalize plans and they had nothing to discuss. We traveled from Virginia and could have done the meeting on the phone. A week later Jennifer confirmed our rehearsal lunch reservation at the Bistro. Then 2 weeks before our wedding she let me know the Bistro was no longer available. A month before our wedding I reached out to see what was going on with our floor plan and BEO. Throughout the whole planning process communication was difficult. Responses to emails sometimes took several days, if not weeks to get an answer. I did not mind so much in the beginning, but it is disheartening when you are weeks from your wedding to have no response to important emails. After constantly emailing them, we received our BEO 5 days before our wedding with several mistakes which were never corrected. To note some of the issues with it not being corrected - as I was riding to the ceremony site in the shuttle on my wedding day, the question was asked what napkin fold I wanted. The drive to the ceremony site was the only time I saw Liz during my wedding. Jennifer nor Liz were present at our rehearsal the previous morning either. On our wedding day, there was only a small fan in the corner of an incredibly hot Yurt. There was water available but the “mimosa bar” I paid for was just a bottle of champagne. After an hour of taking photos and being stuck inside the Yurt, we had to rush out as we were all very close to passing out due to the heat in the Yurt. I was also reassured all items in the Yurt would be brought down to the reception site. While we took photos, my bridesmaids returned to the Yurt to find all items still inside. Our coordinator had to go back up to the site to get the remaining items. I later found out the reception room was a complete disaster upon arriving the morning of our wedding. The entire room had to be redone by our coordinator. Our cake was put on the third floor by staff in an incredibly hot room despite protests from our baker. Our wedding coordinator redid the entire room and several parts of the ceremony site. She saved the wedding day. I wish I could say our incredible vendors were treated the way they should have been, but I found out the $20 meal per vendor we paid was a plate of chicken tenders. I originally planned on paying for all my vendors to have access to our buffet but was reassured the vendor meal would be perfect. I am horrified that chicken tenders were deemed enough for people who put in 11-12 hours to ensure our wedding day was perfect. Finally, after all that, we had two people crash our wedding during the last hour. According to several of our guests, they claimed to be Granby Ranch employees. The two people danced on our dance floor, made out in the corner, and drank from our open bar. I found Jennifer and Liz to be nice people, but there is an overall lack of organization and communication that led to a potentially horrible day. I had an amazing coordinator who stepped in to save the day. If it wasn’t for her the day would not have been worth the money we spent. Reviewed on 10-08-2021
Sarah Forward(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-07-2019 If you want a “Colorado experience”-kind of wedding, Granby Ranch is the ideal venue. As Florida natives, we were excited to share all the reasons why we love calling Colorado home. Having our wedding not just at Granby Ranch but in the area itself allowed our friends and family to explore hot air balloon rides, drive over to Rocky Mountain National Park, go horseback riding, check out mountain\tbiking, or just simply relax and take in the views. Wedding planning can be a daunting task, but I really appreciated working with Rachael on day of details. Jennifer was also very helpful and accommodating when Rachael wasn’t available. When you work with them, you never feel like you’re a bother and while they’re probably juggling lots of ceremonies and contacts — they still truly care about you and your big day and it shows when you’re reading the emails and meeting them in person. The ceremony was perfect. You get nervous planning for an outdoor wedding but there is a window in place and procedures to follow in the event there is bad weather. Rachael does a really good job of letting you know that in advanced. We had about 116 guests and most loved the ski lift experience getting up to the ceremony site. There is a van option for those who may not be as comfortable, too. Figuring out the food and service was a fun experience for us, too! There are a lot of packages to choose from and there were a few things we were curious about seeing if we could swap from one to another. The Granby Team were really great at letting us know if that was possible and what the price difference would be. At the food tasting, they also have vendors available which is really nice in case you’re stumped on booking something for the day. They also have vendor only fair where you can do the same sort of meet and greet and work with companies in the area! We ended up going with the DJ and Florist that had worked with the venue before which I really liked and was one less thing to worry about. They do require you to have a wedding coordinator on the day of which on one hand is another budget line item, but I really believe it’s worth it and allows the Bride and Groom to really experience the day without having to worry about the details. You also get to do a day-of run through with Rachael and your coordinator which certainly helped soothe some of my planning anxiety. I really trusted the entire team with our wedding day and it honestly couldn’t have turned out any better. Reviewed on 23-01-2020

Because they only do one wedding a day, they make you feel really special. I'm a relatively funky bride and wanted to create a bohemian, festivally type vibe to this venue and having the place to ourselves for 12 hours definitely helped us create exactly the look I was going for. My husband is an avid skier so we wanted to have our wedding at a ski resort but I wanted to do a lot of unique design elements to make it as quirky and arsty as I am. I felt like Granby Ranch allowed us to really personalize our wedding compared to other ski resorts. The food exceeded expectations and even my most foody of relatives kept bringing up how great the food was weeks after the event. That steak was melt in your mouth perfection! The food was amazing and people were talking about the view, ceremony, lift, and food for weeks! We loved our experience at/with granby ranch!! We can’t thank them enough for helping us bring our vision to life and really catering to it! I felt like because we picked granby that the planning process was much less stressful! Drew Eisenberg(groom)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-03-2018 We were very disappointed by our wedding at Granby Ranch. Our negative experiences were so clearly avoidable that we don’t recommend Granby Ranch as a venue. I really hope that you think twice before trusting them with your wedding.Major things that went wrong:GR promised that someone would be at the top with us prior to the ceremony and instead we were alone. Our main contact person fell ill that day, but no replacement contact number was given to us.It started to sleet 30 min prior to the ceremony and we decided to do the wedding in the lodge. Since there was no GR staff with us at the top, we could not stop guests from riding the chairlift. We called the GR 1-800 number but no one picked up. We called our main contact, but no answer. We called our parents at the bottom and they couldn't find anyone to tell. The resort sent 60 people up on the chairlift in the rain in their suits and dresses because no one at the base was directing them. This should never have happened.Ultimately, GR sent a bus to drive everyone down for the ceremony at the base. We get to the base after 40 min, and they hadn’t set up the chairs for a ceremony! Our guests had to set up the chairs and make an aisle. During cocktail hour we paid for his/her cocktails, however, there was no indication that the drinks were hosted let alone what they were. The bartender didn't know how to make one of the drinks and didn’t even have the right ingredients! They have refunded these cocktails. We specifically asked not to have a cash bar since we paid for unlimited wine and beer and didn’t want our guests to pay. However, they had a cash bar with well cocktails at $10 each. We were embarrassed that they were trying to sell liquor against our wishes. We paid for two stationed appetizers and were told they would be on separate tables to reduce lines. Guess what? They put both appetizers on the same table and there was a line around the corner. The FOG, who helped pay for the wedding, waited in line to find that they ran out of appetizers. We outlined the table arrangement, however, there were two tables missing from the initial setup. Minor things that went wrong:Our first two contacts at GR quit before our wedding. The third contact fell ill the day of. We knew none of the managing staff during the day of the wedding. Our first chairlift ride for the rehearsal was a disaster. The lift attendants were not friendly with the MOB when she asked for the lift to slow down for herself and a 2 year old. The chairlift ride was one of the first impressions our parents, who helped pay for the wedding, had of GR. It was not a positive one.Our guests reported that it was unclear to them how to get lift tickets.Due to our contact falling ill, her manager handled the wedding. She did not have wedding attire and multiple guests asked about the very casual red shirt and jeans; when guests learned that she was a GR staff member they expressed shock at how unprofessional the attire was.The lights in half of the reception area do not dim. Hard to have a romantic wedding with bright lights. 15% of the bulbs were burnt out on the string lights around the dance floor. We asked twice in the morning to have them replaced; they never were fixed.Positives:The food was excellent. Every item was very tasty and our guests commented on the quality. This is the reason we gave them 2 stars rather than 1 star. Most of the staff was nice and meant well (except lift staff). Reviewed on 04-03-2018
Brittane Pfeffer(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-09-2017 Our Granby Ranch Wedding was the best day ever!! Granby Ranch is a unique wedding venue for couples that want a mountain wedding without having to deal with the bustle of a large ski resort. We loved the secluded and intimate nature of Granby Ranch. The ceremony onto of the mountain was breath taking and had the surprise factor for all our guests. The reception area was perfect for our medium sized wedding. The food was fantastic - I highly recommend the crab wonton appetizer.Compared to some of the bigger ski resorts in the Rocky Mountains Granby was a more affordable option with all the same amenities and views. Our biggest issue with Granby was in communication. During the 11 months between putting out deposit down and tour wedding day we had 3 different coordinators in charge of our event and a few things fell between the cracks. Their were a few discrepancies from coordinator to coordinator that made for a few tense moments. In the end they made sure everything was they way we set it up. The day of ran smoothly - Stephanie, Jordan and Cassidy were all great to work with! All in all our Granby Ranch wedding was amazing and I recommend this venue if you are looking for a fun mountain wedding! Reviewed on 28-10-2017

Leah Davis(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-08-2017 I so badly wanted to give Granby Ranch 5 stars. The chairlift ride, the views at Vista Ridge, having the bridal Yurt, and the experience itself were definitely 5 stars!! We had live band play outside during the cocktail hour on the upper deck and chose to have our first dance there right after we got off the chairlift. Granby Ranch was great at accommodating this. Jordan and Cassidy did a great job checking in on us and making sure we were able to try some of the appetizers. Everyone at GR, including the chair lift operators, were sweet and made us feel special. However, there were some items that did not go as initially planned. The responsiveness before our big day was difficult. I understood Granby Ranch was going through a transition; however, it often took multiple weeks and me emailing a couple of times to get a response. I knew they were overwhelmed, but I felt that some details were overlooked. During our ceremony, the speakers at Vista Ridge did not work. Some of our guests stated they could not hear. We chose to have our ceremony videotaped for a keepsake, and unfortunately are not able to hear any of it. The beers we agreed upon were different than what was actually provided at our reception. We also paid for a 90 minute cocktail hour and I heard from numerous guests that they had to pay for their drinks, even when they didn't ask for top shelf liquor! Most of my guests chose not to get a drink, as they believed they had to pay for it. This was a little frustrating to hear as I felt that our money for the cocktail hour went to waste. Overall, these became minor things throughout the day. Our wedding was still so much fun and unique. We had so many people complimenting how amazing this venue was. Reviewed on 13-09-2017
Kit Christensen(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-08-2017 I had everything but a typical wedding at Granby Ranch. It was a bumpy road with them in the beginning, but I got my third wedding coordinator there (Cassidy) and everything was a wonderful experience after that. She was so organized and so willing to answer questions and edit details of our wedding day while i planned from across the country. We ran into weather issues on the big day after the bridesmaids were waiting for things to commence on top of the mountain. Cassidy and her team were able to get us to the lodge to wait it out and eventually we came up with a game plan. We were working against the clock and Cassidy made the transition between plans seamless. I cannot thank her enough for all her help and hard work. She even made sure the guests could all enjoy the ski lift ride the following day since they were unable to go up the mountain on wedding day.Our chef was fantastic -- best food ever. I made sure to make time to eat my baked beans, mac and cheese, and housemade pepperoni on my wedding day. He was so friendly and extremely helpful. Even made sure to express his sympathy when things were going awry on wedding day.The coordinator that stepped in for the later evening was an awesome guy, as well. Erica C(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-12-2017 Our wedding at Granby Ranch was awesome. From our first visit, we knew that it was the place for us because of the natural beauty of the site, its surroundings, and the quality of the lodge facilities. We booked about 13 months in advance for a late September wedding. Our date fell on peak aspen weekend, which made it a stunningly beautiful venue. It did snow (!), but our guests were mostly prepared and the ceremony was magical. We were very pleased with the service at Granby Ranch. The staff are total pros, and the catering is excellent. We held both our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception at the lodge; the food was terrific on both occasions. The staff can accommodate nearly any request with enough advanced notice. The wedding coordinator (Lindsey) was easy-going and responsive, particularly in the month or so before the wedding date. On the date itself, Lindsey and Elizabeth helped coordinate the event together, and everything went super smoothly. They helped us to stay calm regarding the looming weather, reminding us that there were lots of options even if the weather went south suddenly. And just before the ceremony when our flowerkids were getting restless before leading us down the aisle, Lindsey was so great with them. She even distracted them by leading them in quietly singing their ABC's - twice. Totally above and beyond the call of duty! She and Elizabeth were even available later that weekend to help us identify some items we had accidentally left behind. We and all of our guests had a total blast. We would book Granby Ranch again in a heartbeat, and we would recommend it enthusiastically to anyone up for a mountain wedding. Reviewed on 30-10-2016

Christi Chesner(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-09-2016 Granby Ranch was the PERFECT venue for our Colorado destination wedding on 9/24/16. Our friends and family are still RAVING about the ceremony view and the reception food, and many of them said they want to come back to Granby Ranch for family vacations in the future. I apologize for the long review, but there are just so many reasons we loved Granby Ranch. First and foremost, the chair lift rides and the mountaintop ceremony location provided the perfect Colorado experience for our guests (This was super important to us, since 100% of our guests came in from out of state). The view at the ceremony site is truly incredible and one of the best that we've seen anywhere. Another thing we loved about the venue is that there’s plenty of convenient, affordable and quality lodging available right on the property. All of our guests rented condos in Base Camp One, and they absolutely LOVED their accommodations. The condos are modern, spacious and right next door to the chair lift and reception location. It doesn’t get more convenient than that! They are all privately owned, so we weren’t able to do a room block, but a majority of them are available through VRBO.com, so our guests didn’t have any trouble figuring out how to book their rooms once we told them where to go. We also loved that there were so many on-site activities for our guests to do at Granby Ranch. Several of our friends went hiking, biking and golfing during the weekend. To top it all off, the food was AMAZING and the entire day was seamless and perfect thanks to the amazing team at Granby Ranch. We could not have dreamed of a more perfect wedding. Libby Theune(wedding party)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-09-2016 Beyond Every Expectation! My daughter was looking for a Colorado destination wedding - even for the guests that live in Colorado - and Granby Ranch was a dream come true. Considering its somewhat remote location everything is there - a great variety of affordable accommodations for guests, a nearby grocery and liquor store, places to have hair, makeup and nails professionally done, a beautiful facility for the reception, a stunning location for the ceremony, all of Rocky Mountain National Park for guests to explore, a great private area for smaller groups such as the rehearsal dinner, a nice restaurant/bar for meeting guests, and a staff that is absolutely second to none. So many guests commented that it was the best wedding they'd ever attended and even the longtime Colorado residents were wowed by the view from the ceremony site. They will completely stop the chair lift for the timid or elderly, so my 85 year old mother took the lift and was elated! But really, what I want people to know is how wonderful the staff is. They are extremely accommodating and really want your wedding to be exactly how you dream it and will do what they can to help you achieve it. Their competency and experience is the only way you would know that they do weddings on a regular basis - they make you feel like yours is the only one that matters. They are so calm and make sure that all the pieces come together so just relax and trust them - they know what they are doing! But it's not just the coordinators - ALL the staff is fabulous. The chair lift operators took such good care of the guests, the bartenders were so friendly regardless of tipping, the food was cooked and served deliciously, and the wait staff worked tirelessly all night long during the reception. They were so professional they were nearly invisible, but plates and glasses kept being magically cleared away so that no one had to sit in front of dirty dishes for long. We could not be happier with the location, the facility, or the service. The fact that the weather was beautiful and the aspen were golden was more than we had dared imagine! Amy and the staff were so accommodating especially with the size of our party (over 200 guests). They made fitting all of our guests in the lodge for the reception stress free and flawless. The food was fantastic. It was so nice not having to hire a caterer and let Granby Ranch take care of food and drinks. They were so flexible in letting us create our own menu too! We had a beautiful summer day and were lucky enough to use the patio area throughout the night. We also utilized the fire pit for smores (we highly recommend) and the lawn area at the base of the mountain for corn hole. Amy, Patty and their staff were so helpful throughout the process. From planning, to last minute layout changes to staying to help until the end we truly appreciate you all. A good time was had by all and our guests are still talking about how amazing our day was. My guests had nothing, but positive things to say about it. \r\rI would recommend at least hiring a day of coordinator for your event. Although the Ranch has a wedding staff, the woman we worked with to plan out our whole wedding didn't even attend the event. I expected that she would've been there and since she was not there, certain aspects of our wedding plans were not properly executed because they were not passed on to the staff that actually was on site. Sara Duran(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-08-2015 We have nothing but praise Granby Ranch and the staff who made our day so very memorable. \r\rWhen we first visited the Granby Ranch, we got a tour from Emily, who seemed to understand us and what we wanted right away. We were blown away by the views at Vista Ridge, the ceremony site at the top of the mountain. We also thought having our guests ride the chair lift up the mountain for the ceremony would be a unique experience. Emily's professionalism, kindness, and, of course, the beautiful mountain views made the decision to book the venue an easy one. Emily left Granby Ranch shortly thereafter to pursue another opportunity and we started working with Amy. We could not be happier with all her help over the past several months! Amy helped us coordinate everything surrounding our wedding weekend: the welcome party the day before, the ceremony, the reception... She was very helpful, extremely nice, and always responded quickly to what seemed like an endless list of questions. \r\rPatty did a wonderful job coordinating our rehearsal the day before the wedding and making sure everyone knew what to before and after the ceremony on the day itself. Also, although this may seem trivial, she radioed down our drink orders and had them waiting for us when we got off the chair lift after the ceremony. Sometimes it's the little things...\r\rPeople really liked the food: both the pizzas, salad, and varied mini-desserts we had during our welcome party, and the mostly vegetarian menu we served during the reception. Their kitchen staff knows what they're doing. As for the front of the house, everyone we talked to was really nice, professional, and effective. Some of them would even let me know when one of the buttons on my dress came loose and would button it for me. \r\rAnother plus about Granby Ranch is that it has plenty of available lodging options so our guests had no problem finding a place close by that fit their budget. \r\rGranby Ranch is certainly not the cheapest place to have a wedding. However, we thought it was a great value because it provided a wonderful mountain wedding experience. We had a perfect wedding that we (and most of our guests) will never forget. With both of our families traveling from out of state, we knew that taking the chairlift to the top of the mountain for our ceremony would be memorable, not only for us, but also for all of our guests. We originally worked with Emily and then with Amy and both were the most professional. They made the wedding planning experience fun (which sometimes - most times - is so stressful) and were the most detailed oriented to ensure everything went off without a hitch. The ample staff ensured all of our guests were having a great time. Their staff was able to keep our ceremony and reception on the desired timeline, which is SO important. My husband and I cannot thank all of the Granby Ranch staff enough. We HIGHLY recommend that any bride looking for an amazing mountain wedding seek out Granby Ranch. Carrie Lingenfelter(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-06-2014 My husband and I would definitely recommend Granby Ranch as a wedding venue for anyone who would like to treat their guest to a fairytale, mountainside wedding. All of our guests raved about the fantastic views and the gorgeous backdrop for our wedding. We loved sharing our passion for the Colorado outdoors and this setting helped to make our wedding the best wedding many of our guests have ever been to. What originally sparked our attention with Granby Ranch was the budget-friendly prices as well as the independent family ownership. We actually visited and booked this venue before getting officially engaged! We chose our wedding date based on the open availability at Granby Ranch! When you book a wedding with them, you will be the main event for this location! Other venues we checked out in the mountains had coinciding events but at this resort your wedding day is reserved just for you.\r\rWe were impressed with the professionalism of the event coordinating team. They were often available when we would call or would quickly respond to emails. They were flexible and able to accommodate our busy schedules for meetings and site visits. The team was even helpful with providing wedding ideas or input when we were unable to make a decision about event planning details such as what type of signature cocktail to include or what table arrangement would prove to be the most fun for all of our guests. On the day of our wedding the team was so helpful that we were able to relax and enjoy our special day. The team was able to make quick decisions when the weather became stormy about when we needed to get down the hill. They quickly provided a separate space inside for us to be able to finish taking family pictures.\r\rAnother fabulous part of the Granby Ranch venue experience included the fantastic food experience! Chef prepared a wonderful feast and was able to accommodate for our special food allergies as well as a couple vegetarian requests. They were able to create a fun signature during cocktail we requested. Everything was served hot and tasty during both the cocktail hour and the dinner buffet. The staff was very friendly and continuously checked in with us regarding if we would like a refill of our drinks or if we wanted more wedding cake.\r\rWhen we originally looked at planning our wedding with Granby Ranch we were immediately sold with the gorgeous views and the great reception hall. We had no idea that we would also receive great service on our wedding day that went beyond our expectations. Riding the chairlift to and from the ceremony is the just the icing on the cake. The reception is at the lodge at the bottom of the mountain and was perfect. The space was large and there is a large outdoor deck area for guests to enjoy. Mike Noe(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-09-2014 Granby Ranch is the perfect place for a wedding. I can’t think of a better location to be married than on a mountain top within a two-hour drive from Denver. Your guests will love taking the chairlift to the ceremony site and gush about the amazing views.\r\rI imagine it’s common for any couple to worry about spending too much money on a venue but Granby Ranch provides a good value for the remarkable location, awesome service and excellent catering. My partner and I worried about putting together an affordable reception without serving our guests the stereotypical rubber chicken dinner. The chefs at Granby Ranch prepared a prime rib and salmon buffet that our guests applauded as one of the best wedding meals they have eaten. \r\rAmy Buzhardt and the staff at Granby Ranch were a joy to work with. We didn’t decide on the venue until three months before our wedding day. Though the timing was tight, Amy typically got back to us within 24 hours of us phoning or emailing her. They were also incredibly flexible, even changing the number of tables for our reception the day of the ceremony. \r\rWe had a same-sex ceremony and the staff treated us wonderfully. They were genuinely kind to our guests and put us at ease that we wouldn’t have to worry about inappropriate behavior that you might expect in a rural location. I would wholeheartedly recommend Granby Ranch to the gay and lesbian community.\r\rOur friends are also drinkers so it was important for us to have a location with plenty of rooms nearby. Granby Ranch offers a variety of housing options close to the ceremony site ranging from affordable options a short drive away to condos with mountain views that are within walking distance of the reception. The only downside is that mobile phone service is spotty near the ceremony and reception sites which was a problem when our guests tried to contact us. Other than that, I would recommend Granby Ranch to anyone. Reviewed on 23-09-2014

It feels like a destination without being a burden on our local friends and family (of whom there are more than not). \rAt first I was a little concerned about pricing, it's not cheap. This is most certainly a case where you get what you pay for. Beautiful views, top notch service (Amy and Emily are incredible!), easy lodging right next door, and the best wedding food I've ever had all contributed to a day my partner and I will always look back on fondly. Anonymous (groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-08-2014 Granby Ranch was a fantastic place for our wedding! It was the first venue we visited.....and we never visited another! We booked Granby Ranch a couple days after our first visit! The scenery is amazing! All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and it was a wonderful experience. Only one wedding is booked per day so you don't need to worry about the staff running around to multiple events, they are dedicated to you! The staff took the time to learn our wedding details and timeline and helped us walk through the rehearsal, which was an unexpected surprise! The chairlift operator even helped secure a \"Just Married\" sign to the back of our chair so my bride and I didn't have to do it! The dinner was great as well (and there is a free tasting to select your menu!). We had a last minute menu request from one guest (as dinner was being served) and it was handled flawlessly. For accommodations, we recommend staying in the Base Camp condos. They are pricier than Mountainside or Kicking Horse but the proximity to the reception venue is well worth it! Helpful hint: You need to provide your own flowers, wedding decorations, center pieces, etc. so a day-of wedding coordinator was extremely helpful for us in getting the reception room decorated. Samantha Bishop(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-07-2014 Granby Ranch is the perfect place to have a wedding! It's a smaller ski area in Granby, CO that overlooks Grand County and the Indian Peaks at the top of the chairlift. You won't get high traffic from tourists here, and most houses in the ski area are family owned. There are no hotels in the Granby Ranch ski area, only condos or houses to rent, so again not many outside visitors. The venue itself is pretty simple. Guests arrive to the lodge, ride the chairlift up, and then take in the beauty of the landscape from the top. It is breathtaking. White chairs are set up for your guests and the amount of flat ground space is generous. The aspen trees are just the finishing touch. After the ceremony, guests ride the chairlift down for the reception. The lodge where receptions take place is at the bottom of the chair lift so it is easy for guests to transition from the ceremony to the reception. Receptions are held upstairs in the dining area. It is a fairly large space with tall windows, a romantic fireplace, and an incredible patio that overlooks the ski hill. We had cocktail hour on the patio and then dinner and dancing inside. Many of our guests actually used the patio all night because of the cool breeze throughout the summer night. Emily, our wedding coordinator through Granby Ranch was very accommodating. She had everything exactly how we wanted and made sure every detail was met. She did everything she could to make sure we got the pictures we wanted (with Colorado storms threatening) . Emily also checked in with all of our other vendors to make sure things were going smoothly and and introduced me to the catering staff. The catering service also did a phenomenal job. Everything was delicious and they were accommodating to guests with allergies. Overall, I can't say enough good things about Granby Ranch. You will not be disappointed with this venue. We were blessed by a perfect Colorado mountain day that made the already gorgeous view even more stunning! Our guests loved riding the chair lift to the top of the ceremony site and could not stop raving about the location and breath taking views. The reception area is lovely as well, and you are able to add your own touch to the space to make it work with your wedding vision. Teresa is great to work with and was very understanding throughout the wedding planning process. I felt like we were in good hands and are looking forward to visiting Granby Ranch for years to come! JAIME KATZ(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-09-2012 My husband and I were married on 09/01/12 at Granby Ranch. If you are looking for a venue that sets yours apart from most other weddings you have been to I highly recommend Granby Ranch! The staff is amazing, more specifically Teresa and Joe. They take a great deal of stress off of you and you actually feel like you have established a friendship as opposed to it being completely business. Our guests raved about the beauty of the location, the friendliness of the staff, and the food. We had an amazing experience and were actually sad to drive away from Granby when it was all over. We plan on returning to Granby Ranch any chance we get for a weekend getaway! Reviewed on 05-09-2012
